I did. You were asking if any one else believe it was op. Who played killer. So i was going over the logic as to why it not a very powerful perk. I don't recall saying you, yourself were saying it was op. Just that it sounds like it would be very questionable for someone to say it op. Now i might of worded my post badly, so that would be my fault. More like yes i was agreeing with your original post, that yes head on is fine and not overpowered.
Ah I see. Thank you my friend.

I'm unsure of the range of head on but from the few times i used it. It did seem very short and easy to miss your chance to stun. Of course could be i have not used it enough. Yet it doesn't seem that strong, since you need a locker. Hope the killer gives you enough time to get the stun ready or hope they come nearby. That and the stun is only three seconds, not very long. Yeah hearing someone say it's overpowered would make me go and ask, would you mind explaining in detail how it overpowered? For i would be interested in hearing why they think it's overpowered.
You didnt fully read my post, so Ill not oblige you with an answer at the moment.

What are you talking about? This game is hugely survivor-sided; so much so that killers have been quitting the killer role.

You suicide to get someone to wiggle out of the Killer's grasp giving you two protection hits for Mettle. The Killer will then most likely chase the person you helped escape because you're already slugged. During that time, you have time to recover so when the Killer picks you up they have to deal with Flip Flop (ideally paired with Tenacity since you'll probably go down near a hook).
That's the idea behind Ash's perks I think
They still suck tho
Mettle needed nerfing, but what they did to it is.....hideous

I think to make the illusion that ghostface is more than one person that he could hop into a locker somewhere in the map and pop out of another random locker in the map.
Tell me what you think about this idea!
Ghostface doesnt need a rework. Hes in a good spot rn.
However, locker teleportation does sound really cool

Now, before you do the quick thing, I don't mean who do you main, I mean how do you play.
There is a large divide amongst the player base as to what is acceptable and what isn't. I'm disgusted by Chainsaw Spam and think that you should be using your mallet more since it's your WEAPON while Hillbilly players say that it's "high skill" for example.
But that's not what this is about. I want to know what type of killer you are.
The type of psycho you embody.
Are you a furious serial killer, who's only goal is the body count, piling up the bodies to peaks that will breach the heavens? Or a patient and careful observer, who waits for things to fall into place with well-placed traps or setting up the perfect 3-gen, setting off the demise of the survivors like a fully constructed mouse trap contraption?
Perhaps you're more like me. The sick and sadistic torturer. A hunter who stalks for the thrill of the hunt, rather than the spoils. Not out for the last breath, but for the screams that lead up to it. You die when I want you to die. You will beg for mercy, for a quick end, but it will never come. Your deaths will be drawn out because that is my design. For you to escape, you must earn it and sacrifice something of yourself. Slugged survivors are rare, but not uncommon with maybe one or two per match in the middle/towards the end. After all, what better way to draw out prey from a herd than to wound one of their own with what seems like relative safety? Or to punish those who would steal my catches from me. They can leave the hook, but you will take their place if you tempt me. Respect me and prove your worth, maybe you'll be able to leave and spread the word of what I have done.
For I am more than a killer, I am a predator. My generators are my prize and nobody can take that from me.
So! Probably don't need anything quite that detailed. But hey, if you want to go to this sort of place, please do. Within something like DbD, I do like some more dark fantasy and I have a horror movie addiction for lack of a better term.
Basically for me, I prefer stealth killers and don't really like Exposed. I'll never deliberately tunnel, targeting the unhooker if they do it in front of me and prefer to draw out my matches to the slowest pace possible. I will never camp, and if I'm still near you, I KNOW that another survivor is nearby because I saw them. Naturally counters DS and BT, plus does really well in the emblems system, and is really fun to me!
This playstyle tends to lean me more towards Pig, Legion and Doctor being my main 3 killers, but I also like reworked Freddy with his more control themed kit. Devour Deathslinger is something of a guilty pleasure for me too, but I haven't played that many games with him yet.
Not doing this for any real reason. Just a bit of fun, and to help me determine why there is such a divide in the Killer community about playstyle and balance opinions.
Brute force my guy. Only thing I care about is the body count.

Key's don't compare to mori's....smh. Can't use a key till late into the game, vs Mori's activated from 1 hook.
Both are skillless. They both reward you too much for doing what you should be.
Awww....you did 4 gens in 2 minutes? Heres an item that makes it so you dont even have to repair the last one!
Or
Awww.....did you hook someone, well then, you can delete the from the game.
They are both unfair, and in dire need of reworks (or in the keys case, removal)
If keys were removed, just put the aura reading capabilities onto maps.
As for moris? Change them to an addon like Myers, where each killer can kill a survivor given specific circumstances.

I'm beyond done with this game and an extra bloodpoint event doesn't do anything when all you do is get tunneled and camped. Killers should receive zero bloodpoints for it but behavior doesn't care so I'm done and deleting this game. Go Predator Hunting Grounds! Put this game out of business!!!

Secondly
F13 and Hunting Grounds both have the same team behind them. It will fail, after a month or two of doing well. Just like f13 did. And DBD will still be around.

Ok so imagine these scenarios:
You’re working a gen alone. Someone...anyone... runs toward your gen. Killer or survivir,no matter. A skill check appears prolly 85% of the time. A survivor crouches or walks toward your gen....nothing.
Another gen pops or a survivor gets hooked. Either way there’s a loud notification. A simultaneous skill check occurs with the notification sound prolly 50% of the time.
I bet you’ve seen some other correlations I’ve neglected to mention. I believe these are not random occurrences, but programmed in! There, I said it! 😜
Yep. BHVR uses a hidden camera on your system, that triggers a skill check every time you have an itch or you drink water

One: Where can I find definitions on terms like "slugging" and such? Searches on this forum turned up nil.
Two: I play as Leatherface and have a specific strategy. After hooking someone, I get a reasonable distance away so there is a opportunity for them to be saved, but not so far away that I have no chance in catching them. I use the chainsaw just in case I do catch up to them. The way I see it, I'm being fair, but is this really a problem? I know some people will complain no matter what happens, but I like to keep things fair.
Ah, a new member of the fold.
1. Slugging refers to downing a survivor, and then leaving them on the ground as opposed to hooking them. Its called slugging because the survivors resemble slugs wiggling on the ground. Slugging provides in-game pressure and its a great slowdown tool, though I prefer to hook instead of slug.
2. People complain no matter what. Keep your head up! Relish in their salt my friend.
Should you have any more questioms concerning gameplay terms, just ask the community! Theyll tell you!

How is that pitting the survivors against each other? You're not interacting with the other survivors at all, nor are you interacting with the killer. The RBT is actually forcing non-interaction. Maybe you have an easy time because people don't enjoy playing a walking simulator and want to interact with the killer/game in a meaningful way.
Seems like maybe you have a bit of buyer's remorse and need to project that on other people. To each their own.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1208934#Comment_1208934
Ah, OK. Go ahead and explain then since it's so complicated.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1208936#Comment_1208936
Whether or not she's good is irrelevant, the mechanic is unfun. Interaction should be maximized because we're not playing a single player walking simulator.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1208937#Comment_1208937
No, I'm resigning myself to having fun which involves interacting with the killer and not playing a walking simulator.
And it is literally reading comprehension issues as most of the replies have been something along the lines of "pig isn't OP" or "that's now how RBT works" when I've said neither that pig is OP or inaccurately described the mechanic.
Literally takes 20 seconds out of your 5 minute game. Also, RBTs arent even that strong. If youre constantly dying to them, then you should maybe be getting them off? Its not very complicated.
And no, they dont constantly reveal your location. That beep is a lot louder on the survivors end. Supposed to get you tense about getting it off. As killer, if I run into someone with an activated RBT, its never because of the beeping, its because I checked a Jigsaw box.

I wanted to know the communities opinion about the difference in requirements to get the adept achievements for killer and survivor.
I believe that the survivor requirement is fine as is but I believe that the killer achievement is much more difficult to achieve, wouldn't it make more sense to base the achievement around the 4k.
I'm not saying I want the achievement to be easy as I like a challenge, but getting merciless with some killers perks can be overly challenging.
I'm curious as to others opinion on this and would also like to hear if there is any changes planned.
Oh lord the emblem system is terrible for killers. I know rank doesnt matter, but getting a 4k with 4 gens left to go, and just safety pipping because chases were so short, is complete BS.
Now, for survivor, emblem system works great. Much needed improvement.
Killer-wise, I would rather go back to the old ranking system, just for killers, but I know thats gonna be problematic

We're in this together and BHVR doesn't really care, as long as their DLCs are selling.
Save a screenshot of my comment, because it will soon disappear when a mod sees it!

Exactly. Pig might be bottom tier, but people hate her the same way they hated old Doc.

@migaloo said:
What kind of smoothbrain designed this and thought this would be a good idea to leave it as is?
You should be encouraging skill based interaction between players, not having 4/5 people running around the map the entire trial trying to remove an instakill debuff that constantly reveals their location. You're effectively removing a player from the game the entire time and it lasts way too long.
There is no decision making process, here is no mind gaming, there is no interaction, there is no risk & reward. You don't outplay it and it doesn't outplay you. It's uninteractive and unfun.
If you're going to have such a broken mechanic, there needs to be some amount of counter play & not have to spend the entire game running in a circle waiting to die. Similar mechanics all have appropriate counter play and interactivity.
You need to ask yourself a very simple question when designing this kind of content: "will this be fun for the people playing the game?"
I'm to the point where I just do a gen until the trap pops and then I go back to lobby. It's not fun running around on auto-pilot making no decisions and not interacting with the killer or the game in any interesting way.
You dont seem to know how Pig works my friend.

There’s a big difference between knowing that a survivor has looped you or wasted enough of your time to make the chase a failure, and taking the killer to a structure that you KNOW he can’t catch you at for at least three full runs, even then it may only be one hit if you’re healthy.
god loops have no mind game, no base counter and are free time wasters that take no skill whatsoever to run. The fact that survivors are complaining about the removal of them shows just how much they rely on something that takes little to no brain power to run.
Im not talking about god loops, I see killers (and Im a killer main myself) complaining about loops that ARENT infinites.

Yeah, a lot of these killers complaining should know when to abandon a chase that isnt going your way.

So, I've been playing a metric butt ton of killer during the bloodrush and I've managed to climb from 20 up to 10, and the perk that's proven more valuable as I've progressed has turned out to be FD.
I started running it one night when I ranked too far too fast thanks to a couple good games and started getting flashlight bullied, lol. But then I realized how often survivors would go back for their items.
I know it's frustrating as hell to go against, but it's been a surprising asset in terms of keeping opponents occupied outside of chases, and occasionally tricking them into more risky plays.
And now it's part of my go to build, especially if I'm playing during high traffic times. It's not as useful obviously if there's only like a medkit...but when the clickyclicky intensifies Franklin's saves my beans.
What about you guys? What perk surprised you and became an important part of your loadout that you didn't really expect?
Insidious and Tinkerer
Now, hear me out.
I decided to just embrace the Insidious Bubba meme, and threw on my p3 leatherface and nodded and tantrumed and the like, so the survivors would at least know that Im memeing.
But, camping is quite boring, so I decided to leave, but Tinkerer activated at the same time, and since the hooked survivor couldnt see me, (they told me later) so I was able to leave unnoticed.
So I didnt camp for the rest of the game, but every survivor kept playing around my hooks very slowly and cautiously.
So I decided to try it again. This time, I insidious camped one person, and allowed them to be saved. Sure enough, the survivors were expecting me to camp and they didnt save the hooked person until I had downed another one on the other side of the map.

@AhoyWolf said:
Legion does have terrible stats without addons, and I think there is a big room for improvements, so here are some Legion buffs and QoL changes that will help Legion get better. (I will not count addons into these changes tho)
Feral Frenzy
Base-Kit
- Removed the cool-down penalty when hitting a Survivor while not in Feral Frenzy. (Was 50%)
This "feature" that only Legion has is now outdated, due to the amount of changes the Legion got, I think this penalty isn't necessary anymore.
Cool-down
- Feral Frenzy cool-down starts recharging at the beginning of the fatigue, not after. (Like Nurse's cool-down)
I think the 20 second cool-down is fine for Feral Frenzy, the problem is that the cool-down isn't actually 20 seconds, it's 24 seconds, due to the long fatigue, with this change the cool-down would be 20 seconds, like it's suppose to be.
Fatigue
- Decreased Feral Frenzy fatigue duration to 3 seconds from 4 seconds.
- Reduced the amount of "tunnel vision" while in the fatigue.
Legion currently loses a lot of distance due to the 4 second fatigue, decreasing the duration and reducing the "tunnel vision" should help Legion close the distance they lost while in the fatigue and keep track of the Survivor.
The "tunnel vision" before the patch 2.7.0 and now.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/493/KBFCV40KQTXY.png
@Peanits @Almo please change it back like it was before the 2.7.0 update.
Power gauge
- Stabbing a Survivor while in Feral Frenzy that already has Deep Wounds will end Feral Frenzy, but it will not deplete your entire power gauge.
- Picking up a Survivor while Feral Frenzy is active will no longer deplete the entire power gauge.
- Missing an attack while in Feral Frenzy will no longer end Feral Frenzy, instead you will suffer the standart missed attack cool-down.
I never understood why is the Legion's power gauge so inconsistent, this should fix some inconsistency.
Deep Wounds
- Reduced the bleed-out timer to 15 seconds from 30 seconds.
With this change the Survivors will be actually forced to mend, instead of just fooling around and doing Generators until their timer hits the last 2 seconds.
If I missed something just let me know! :)
The amount of hate Legion gets is completely undeserving after his power rework.
Why doesnt Feral Frenzy actually do something? Ive always been behind Deep Wounds removal from the game, and Legion being able to down people using his power again, but of course, I know theres plenty of red tape and the like to worry about.

I have a weird little practice and I'm curious if I'm the only one or if others do it (or if you don't do it and see what I say, maybe you'll want to :D)
I have a habit of watching the lobby for the telltale signs of the SWAT SWF (you know, the foursome who run with the discipline and talent of a SWAT Team). A bunch of items, similar names, similar characters used, entered the lobby at the exact same time; that kind of thing.
What I have started to do if I suspect it is a SWAT SWF is that I will bring Ebony Mori BUT I will not use it until I confirm that this is indeed a SWAT SWF (or I suppose if they're super unlucky, four really really really really talented Solo players :D) and only then will I actually use Mori.
So far I have done this four times where I brought Mori. Two of the times, I never even used the Mori as it was just a normal rag-tag group of survivors and twice I used it because it turned out to be a SWAT SWF Team.
Just curious if others do this. If not, will you now that I planted the idea in your brain? Or do you say there is no honor in killin and you'll just use Mori whenever you want :D
Bringing an ivory mori completely messes up SWF. I always mori the most annoying one, and the others proceed to panic. Glorious

I personally don't enjoy the wraith, so he's outta the question from my own opinion. I just thought I'd come here to see what people think, possibly draw up a little friendly debate between survivor and killer players alike. I know of all the various builds for both, eg tombstone Myers, infinite T3 Myers, XXXL spooky boi ghost face etc.
So I'm curious, who do you guys think is more fun, and who do you think is more viable? I love both killers I've been a fan of slashers for along long time but can't decide. Don't want any arguing just some nice general opinions, don't care what your rank is (^:p

When a killer quits a match the match should continue allowing survivors to just complete the rest of the tasks left and earn points before escaping. Dedicated servers aka no longer killer hosts makes sense for that. Also the amount of time we have to wait for a match and then the killer leaves and we only get 5k for that. 5k is like 1 hook for the killer. Also if a survivor leaves the killer still gets to farm his points. But yea even if you disagree with my reasons for it, it is only fair and makes sense that the match shouldn't end and survivors should get to just finish the rests of the tasks before escaping
I agree. Killers should also get a better BP bonus for survs that quit. 625 isnt enough

reworking maps is justified also reworking the god loops. but changing the size of maps and also putting just 4 unsafe pallets, 1 jungle gym and 1 TL wall in every map is unbalanced af.
you guys have no idea about balance, and you will never learn it.
i cant deal with this unbalanced game anymore, and be sure you will lose a lot more players after this patch.
good job BHVR!
Then good. Leave. This community is better off without you

The only thing I think that was over the top was making the Wake Up Alarm spawn as far as possible when asleep. It should be RNG like Pig’s Reverse Bear Traps.
Actually you can use any of them, but the furthest one is highlighted

So we can all agree that iridescent head is broken so here is a fix:
Iridescent head reduces hatchet count by 4
Iridescent head only insta-downs if the hatchet hits from further than 24m away(works with her Tr and her achievement)
Thats an awful idea, just because of latency. Deathslingers coin addon is terrible because sometimes you hit someone at 15 meters and you dont get exposed, or you hit someone 3 meters in front of you and get exposed. It barely works at all. Iridescent Heads shouldnt stack with the infantry belt, but that combos been nerfed already.

if you seriously think DS needs a nerf thean you’re delusional, it’s an ANTI TUNNELING perk. Easy don’t tunnel then
Yet, if I hook someone, they get saved, and I chase and down someone else and hook them, and run into the unhooked person within a minute, Im tunneling?
Please explain that.
