Well I wouldn't make assumptions so soon. We've yet to have a PTB released yet so things will still be changed. Just take a look at the 5 hit endurance ptb as an example
And talking about the problems with something is how those changes are made
-
If it was once per trial or it was a FLAT 45s that couldnt be reduced. It'd be fine, but it's neither, faster pickup speed reduces the timer, so your Unbreakable is the exact same, but you can now use it infinitely.
-
For Nurse, you're just not lightburning her.
For Wraith, with a flashlight, you're not burning him without wasting enough time to where he profits.
However against a baby Wraith, its an item directly countering a killer & making their experience miserable.
Then there's Flashbang & firecrackers, which against Wraith, if you just wait until he starts uncloaking, there's not really anything he can do, so it's not only an item, but an event item, directly affecting the killer & with Flashbang, its a perk directly affecting the killer.
Items shouldnt interact with the killer directly, as it just makes "######### you" moments. Trapper felt awful when there were toolboxes when his traps could be sabo'd. Trapper feels awful when survs bring a map with Red Twine.
Perks shouldnt interact with the killer directly, as it too, just makes "######### you" moments. You're playing Doc and there's a Calm Spirit, thats a portion of your power gone, you're playing Clown or Freddy against new Vigil, get ######### idiot, just play better.
It's not too much an influential mechanic, but it's existence is wrong.
-
Spirit. Coin flips aren't fun.
-
Memory Wipe
-
Doctor & Ruin
There's a reason they were reworked together, Ruin is Doc's 4th teachable & no-one can convince me otherwise. Doc makes the game about seconds, either side wasting them wins the other the game, Ruin is a win/win for doc in this game, either the survs get hurt more for not getting gens done before you've got a slug or hook or they get to T3 & if they cleanse it, 14s is still 14s, on top of this, he can stop people from cleansing from further away than most
-
If you have a long timer, you DC a lot
stop DCing
-
Gearhead + Devour on Freddles
-
Hatch & escaping through the gates once it's closed just needs to count as both an escape for the survivor AND a kill for the killer, and give the killer the appropriate BP as well.

Losing memories when escaping makes less sense to me espeacially when the original lore before the archives seemed to imply survivors don't remember what the Entity does to them when it drags them up into itself. Losing memories when dying could just be an extension of that disassociation. Losing memories when escaping makes zero sense. But from both a horror perspective and a character perspective keeping the memories in both cases is the superior option.
if they keep their memories when they escape, they know there is no escape. better for The Entity to get rid of those memories to keep farming their hope.
-
There are alternate versions of people in the Entity's realm

Survivors don't lose memories after the trials, I HATED when they introduced this in the archives. It just take away every opportunity of story progression and it also contradicts old lore.
losing memories when escaping makes sense, but dying is just dumb
-
Legion.
They are fundamentally flawed. If they're power isnt bad, they break the game, if it is... well, its bad.
Not any other killers that are as inherently ######### as Leg, 'cept maybe Trickster if BHVR decide that this is the direction they want to take him until the game dies.
-
i dont like David's at all, man's not meant to be a gentle giant
-
With the amount of stalking you're doing now to function, i'd also say just no more stalk limit
-
Baker, potentially Adam
-
Does Spirit suck, yeah
Is any nerf Nurse ever gets deserved, absolutely
But Legion is just... #########, not even luck can outplay Feral Frenzy, which also happens to ignore every game mechanic, if Legion weren't terrible, they'd be the most hated killer by far
-
for killer, no one leaves after all 5 gens are done
for survivor, 3+ escapes
-
There are more people playing on other platforms that what you are, so there is a higher chance of getting crossplay players, and since everyone is bad, this gives the impression that people from X platform are super bad.
-
they'd need to not only program the knowledge of how to use the power, but also make the killers & survivors move like actual players.
-
It was changed due to Nemesis using items in his power.
Apart from him not being able to potentially abuse it... its a buff, sure Keys still function, but every other item no longer takes 90s to die, nor 10% per hit with the og, now it passively kills the item

Don't birds start appearing and teling you where they are if they haven't done anything in a few mintues?
only if you dont move
-
Demo is the best STBFL preserver, but saves more time by just using his power, so its kinda a dead perk on him if playing right
Pig can keep it up, but she still has to W game jungle gyms
Gun still has to reload
Hag... yeah she's ######### dumb with 8 stacks, but she's dumb with a lot of perks
-
between a megalomaniac with a ######### up body & someone who reports their own kills, the latter feels more based
-
Felix & Kate
-
some walls if broken create god windows, this is a no
-
I was gonna do a Doc change, but i just came to the realization that im a Wraith main now... so i'll do both
Doc: Basic Attacks apply half a madness tier.
Wraith: Green Shadow Dance basekit.
-
Buffy
-
Predator has a detrimental affect with 0 buffs to compensate
-
Even if BHVR made Spirit lore-wise use the Spirit World, and let her lightburned... it wouldn't fix her, having to bring an item to counter a killer just doesnt work.

Okay this is correct, but I swear she used to or does use the same thing.
Nope

RAREST: Tag Team
HARDEST: Evil Incarnate, at least most adepts don't leave you at a detriment & get deleted by lockers
-
Of this list, Buckle Up is the only perk that doesn't actively do anything, even for a new player, as the first time you are ever downed onward, you should have an idea on how much someone has recovered.
Boil Over can occasionally get you off the killer's shoulder for free if they get caught on a door or something
This Is Not Happening is a flat buff to gen speed, a VERY weak one, but still technically does something, and does it with no downside
No Mither can cuck Twins & can potentially force a killer to stop a snowball if they down you, since they know they cant slug you
Technician... I mean, it is detrimental, BUT the detriment serves a positive purpose, it adds more encouragement for new players using it to hit skillchecks
Sole Survivor, like This Is Not Happening, is an outright flat buff with no downside
Poised is a niche perk, but not bad
Solidarity, same as Poised
Deja Vu, like Technician holds value as a learning perk, it teaches you to not 3 gen yourself & also helps you learn map layouts
-
It's not their fault they lost, the other side was obviously just playing unfair
-
remove breakable walls
-
I think he's in a good state, some minor changes would be nice, but he's... a functioning killer on the ptb... although the fact that, that's praise at this point i do think needs some changes.

By that logic, the killer can't slug because they have to presume everyone has to have Unbreakable. Or Soul Guard, if they're running a hex.
It doesn't work like that. A perk that doesn't let you heal will never be meta, so the killer doesn't have to assume anything - they just do as they always do and figure out what perks the survivors have through context clues. Besides, Unbreakable is already meta, so it's not like this changes very much about the risk/reward of slugging except for that if a survivor's already picked themselves up once, there's no hexes in play, and they aren't healing themselves, you might still have to worry about further pickups. But that comes with the tradeoff that that survivor is going to be a perpetual one-tap, which is more than fair.
I phrased the 1st part a bit weirdly, so i'll rephrase it. No Mither's counter, would be playing bad, that's not a counter, at least Unbreakable only goes off once & you know its gone, even though you might have had a win taken from under you, you know for a fact, it's gone. SG deletes this problem if the killer has a Hex up & so would this No-Mither change, since you cant know they have it until it's too late. So you have to either play bad by playing around it... or play bad by not playing around it.
People already don't heal to begin with and against certain killers its encouraged, or forced. Being 1-shot doesnt mean anything if you can get to a pallet. This is why most exposed perks aren't good, why Myers isnt good. If you can loop well, it doesnt mean that much unless you're caught out of position. You also are only insta-downed forever, past your 1st chase with this change.

right, and calm spirit has to go because doctor exists. except that's never happened.
no mither being a counterperk against twins is extremely fine, and arguably intended. some killers just have counterperks and that's what makes dbd interesting.
A perk countering a killer directly is just not healthy for the game. A Doctor shouldn't have his tracking on a survivor deleted by a perk without running a specific addon.
Calm Spirit only still exists due to BHVR only recently coming to this understanding with Slippery Meat & Small Game.
-
The hidden broken effect I think makes the perk ridiculous. Without the killer knowing you have No Mither, they have to presume that anyone not healing, has it, meaning they just... aren't allowed to snowball at all.
If you want it to be hidden, the pickup has to go.
Then there's the blood effect, which would be fine... if Twins didn't exist.
2 effects need to go, so all you're left with is IW 1.
-
A. Borrowed Time
B. camping already has an existing counter, 3 people doing gens unimpeded
-
If Twins down you, then hook you, most likely Victor downed you. For Victor to not be near the hook, the killer has to get Charlotte away from the hook to what you would deem as 'acceptable distance', then she has to swap to Victor, then move him away. That's a lot of time you're asking them to give up, especially for a killer who is either on a hyper offense, or hyper defence.
-
he could use 1 or 2 minor buffs, but all in all, he's fine & enjoyable
-
Killer
Final Countdown
For every hook, you gain a token. For each token, Hook Progression is accelerated by 15%
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Especially where Twins are concerned because they aren’t actually a bad killer. That’s just an unwillingness for the player to learn how to do well with Twins without “plant Victor or Charlotte near hook”
To NOT camp as Twins, you have to actively move both characters away from the hook. If you want a Twins to DECIDE to waste time with no profit, you need to do so as well when facing them.
-
I think Midwich & RPD are the worst due to the W key & being completely ass to navigate, while also having a combined total of 3 good pallets.

That is nerf lmao, you are nerfing him. He has only one good power, breaking pallets. And you are putting it to T3.
And when survivors rejecting to clear, having T3 is so hard and takes time. So no thank you, you will make him C-Tier
The pallet breaking is pretty oppressive, so having it be harder to get I feel is fine. You are also compensated with later breaking with more range & less cd. On top of this, survs cant stop T3 happening anymore, due to increased zombie mutation, no matter what you do, he will get to max power.
-
Stage 2: range up
Stage 3: range up, cd down, pallet breaking
Vertical camera control in power cause... ######### why
Zombies: 50% extra mutation per contaminated surv & ignore hooked surv noises
-
If you could kobe as last surv, killer would just wait in front of the hook, nothing would change.
-
new font sucks & the faces on the tally made it DbD's logo
-
Get rid of the Hex & self pickup activation, and have it be 10s
