I'm not sure why the Devs haven't created any meaningful incentives to use No Mither. Personally, I think there are two directions that the perk could be taken that would make it really, really good.
Direction 1- No Mither is all about high risk/high reward. It comes with a built in +10% action speed bonus, which when combined with Resilience would give No Mither Survivors +19% global action speed bonus. Now that would potentially be worth only having one health state.
Direction 2- No Mither grants the Obsession three health states. That extra health state has to go somewhere right? No Mither could give the Obsession Endurance every time they become injured so you're losing a health state to give a teammate three health states. Basically, the Obsession could only be downed while in the Deep Wound State. Interesting right?
Basically, I feel like No Mither has a lot of potential for a high risk, high reward playstyle. Similar to a perk like Object of Obsession where it has a strong drawback, but also a strong benefit
Object of Obsession has zero drawback and provides free information.

Waiting 10min to match with a bunch of green/yellow ranks, fun fun game. No matchmaking problems at all!
Ive had pretty good matchmaking actually.

I thought that Undying GUARANTEED the first cleanse of your other Hex would result in it going to another totem.
So Undying itself can actually be cleansed first though? If so then its not nearly as strong as I thought. If so I don't agree with a nerf then.
Undying is often cleansed first for me.

I like new Yamaoka. It's brighter, cleaner, easier to see scratches in the new grass, no harder to navigate than any other outdoor map for anyone with half a brain, and has some great unique tiles that both vary in strength and work well with preexisting tile layouts.
I disagree. Yamoaka is an instant DC for me.

On the map pool as it is now, 2:8 would, lbr, a mess.
But what if a 2:8 mode came with adjusted maps that would do the following:
the maps are larger, and there's an additional objective: you have to 'unlock' the area with the gates. this would go thus:
the match starts like a regular 1:4 match on two sides of the map barred from each other and the gates area. survivors can unlock paths they (not the killer) can use to get to the other primary area, as well as (main task) unlocking a mechanism to open up the gates area.
Killers, while they can not go to the other primary area, can manipulate the mechanism if there's no survivor on their primary.
once the gates area is unlocked it'll be both killers vs whoever remains, while the survivors have to do one or two last gens and open the gate.
Broad outline, how does it sound so far?
2 v 8 could work. But it needs more than a different mode. It needs mode specific tweaks to items, killer powers and addons.

Recently I had the best of luck ever on my life by finding my true love, after sad years with the low opportunities my sexuality caused me I found him in a DBD themed Discord server and can't believe that we live so close and how much luck I had with him since he's the perfect boy on every single aspect and I never imagined I could find someone like him specially in this game.
I give him BIG thanks because my playstyle from before can't be compared on what I learned while playing with him. All our matches are fun no matter what teammates or killers we get, and it doesnt consist in just the fact that we play together, the most important part is that WE DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING we are in this game FOR FUN.
I don't know about you but never before I had told myself "I'm launching Dead by Daylight for fun" and wow it looks so crazy now that I'm typing it. Everyone should remember why are they in this game, to have fun and not ruin others, and if others try to ruin your day, ignore them! There's gonna be a new match later which will make you forget about this one you just had.
Summary of my thoughts, just have fun, it literally is simole as thinking about it. Change your dirty play style if you play for ruining others' day because that just means something sad is inside you, fix it by having fun with the game instead, I've met amazing people here and had uncountable wholesome moments that make me remember 0 no-fun moment.
With this happy enthusiasm, I wan to end by saying thanks to the devs, for making the game, updating and adding more content to it, and the fact that they made it to make crossplay a thing has been the key change that helped me playing with my favourite person ever. And to the players, HAVE F U N!
And well just wanted to add a wholesome moment we had playing together this weekend :)
Love and DBD rarely go together. So glad it worked out well for you!

this is something i see very often on the forums and i want to make this clear
there is no role that should have an advantage over the other just because they picked a role different to the other players
the power role should be whoever is winning in the game so please stop with the "killers should be the power role stuff"

using comms in among us = breaks the game and removes the point of playing
these are not the same stop comparing different games
Wrong. Comns with SWF is gamebreaking.

if you use comms when your dead in among us thats you ruining the game and there is no further point in playing since your guaranteed to always win
if you use comms in a swf in dbd you are just playing the game relaying information that doesnt guarantee you a win its simply helpful. this does not break the game.
you cant compare among us to dbd
they are not similar games
the comms in these games impact the matches differently
Wrong. Sorry. Sounds like you abuse comms to get an unfair advantage in every game huh?

I feel like this wouldn't be fun to play against, tbh. In a SWF, this killer is complete garbage, in a group of randos the survivor might just die with no one to help at all because the randos don't care
Well, Im not taking this idea that seriously. It was just a fun concept I came up with when I was toasted.

I feel like it would be really cool if the devs made a killer that had a random chance of being multiple killers. Like for all the special infected there could be The Spitter who basically leaves pools of acid that remove a health state from the survivors that step on them, Hunter who does what you said, Jockey who is like the hunter but faster, makes more noise, and needs to ride on a survivor for 15 seconds before they lose a health state and they can be helped by other survivors to prevent this, Charger who is like Hillbilly except he can charge through pallets and only knocks survivors down, and the smoker who is like deathslinger in the sense that he reels survivors in and hit them except, wait no, he's just deathslinger. Ok maybe the smoker is just a legendary skin for Deathslinger, that would be cool. (And just to clarify I mean knock survivors down like not into the dying state just falling over stunned for 3 seconds or something.
That sounds neat but its hard to get good at 4 different killers

I honestly think he's the hardest killer, yes harder than nurse.
He requires extensive tile and map knowledge, requires the most planning when using his bounces, all while not being the best killer in the game.
He has anti-loop, but it is extremely difficult to pull off, and requires you to conserve your charges. There is no killer like blight in the game right now, he's extremely unique, and has gameplay that differs from every other killer.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on him, and if he's more difficult than nurse.
No. Nurse is more difficult because of her slower base speed and bug-ridden power

You don't understand what that word means. Just because other games have had different amounts of success with the genre does not mean BHVR has a monopoly.
But to humor you:
Friday The 13th
Evolve
Last Year
Predator: Hunting Grounds
Left 4 Dead
All the countless mods dedicated to this style of play.
All asymmetrical games. All had varying degrees of success.
Left 4 Dead is not assymetrical horror. And all of the games you mention other than Left 4 Dead failed and therefore do not pose any competitive risk to DBD

Ive got an idea for a Native American killer called The druid. He can morph into a owl, and a werewolf. The owl will allow him to travel , but cant attk in this form. While the werewolf would be for the chase. As Werewolf form he can attk throw windows by leaping through it. Put the owl form on a 50 second cooldown. Make the Werewolf form with no cooldown but if he is stunned or flashlighted knocks him out of it. Giving him a 4 sec stun being knocked out of the werewolf form. Another thing for werewolf is that when a surv is injured causing bleeding the werewolf gains a speed buff like 5% but goes away if everyone is healed 100%. What do you all think?? I would love this so much
Somebody would be offended because survivors teabagged and bullied a Native American.

After playing againts all killers,Oni is by far my least favorite one to face. What separates him from other high mobility killers is that his ability can be controled much easier, curving walls with ease at high speed while being able to down you in 1hit.
Also the fact all your stealth perks are rendered almost useless if you're injured makes him even less enjoyable to go againts.A good Oni can easily destroy anyone especially on a map with a lot of open spaces, making him a killer that can do good on any map.
Hag. I almost always play solo, so Hag is the bane of my existence.

What kind of arguing is that? There was competition, BHVR made it obviously better than these. Games die when there are better games to play, like DBD. I'm pretty sure the DBD commuity contains a lot of players that left one of these games for DBD, or played both and only stick to DBD now.
What exactly do you understand under competition pls?
F13 was a far superior experience balance wise.

So what did the Devs did in this Patch?
Buffing Thana (Good)
Fix The Executioner "Loop mindgame" (Good)
Trail of Torment Extrem buff (good)
The other perk buffs (all good, ok not Technician but still)
Pop Nerf (was maybe needed)
So why do you think the Devs can't belance the game again?
In my Opinion this show us that the devs can and are willing to belance this game for our fun.
No theyre not lol

DS and Pop literally have nothing to do with each other.
If you want an actual discussion comparing the “timers” that’s fine... but you have to be prepared to also discuss the other parts of each perk because they aren’t at all similar aside from a timer being attached to each other.
Do survivors get DS to activate after every unhook? No.
Is DS guaranteed to proc at least once in a match? No.
This is probably the most ridiculous comparison I have seen in a while.
The perks are not similar in usability, but the reason that they nerfed Pop can also be applied to Decisive Strike.

in that case survivors should just instantly die the first time they're put into dying. if a survivor can crawl so far away that a killer's can't find them, it's 1000% because the killer was greedy instead of securing a hook. killers shouldn't be slugging down all 4 survivors at 4 gens remaining anyways, yet you people will defend that but cry any time survivors rush gens
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1648224#Comment_1648224
if you manage to sit on the ground for 4 minutes and the killer never picks you up and hooks you, you shouldn't be rewarding the killer AND punishing the survivor. Basic logic here. Any killer with more than 20 hours can find a survivor they've downed, if a survivor manages to crawl away it it entirely the fault of the killer.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1648232#Comment_1648232
I guarantee I've bene playing killer and survivor longer than any of the shitposters on this thread, especially you. But you get reddit killer mains with ~200 hours coming in constantly to these forums putting out stupid opinions just because they've been inconvenienced one time. on the other hand, I have over 2000 hours in this game, and my opinions come from my own experience gameplay on both sides. I take overall game mechanics, culture, and player feedback into consideration, you do nothing but watch streamers getting bullied by SWF squads and think you know the game.
Especially me? Nah man. Its not like I have 1500 combined hours on console and PC. You have no idea what youre talking about. Youre an internet troll who gained mild noterity from an Ardetha video, and seem to be trying to reclaim your lost clout with bait posts and salt.

Payday 2 has been an absolute mess on consoles. First they abandoned all previous gens. Second they still haven't gotten the safehouse update. Then there was that scandal awhile back where the entire studio was raided by FBI or whatever.
And the same glitch with missing masks and the bag glitch still haven't been fixed as far as I know. Last I played, they dumped all the holiday heists in and called it a day.
Not going to try to defend Overkill here. BHVR cares more about console players than Overkill does. And that is truly sad.

@FirePhoenix115 said:
Now let me say first off that i don't think that stuff should be nerfed or buffed just because a vocal minority says so.
What i do think is that all the balancing that has been done so far and is still going on on the PTB is stuff aimed at people between the ranks of 13-6.
You guys have the ''fog whisperers'' and some of those are extremely knowledgeable players that play both survivor and killer and have some very fair complaints and criticism.
I'm not saying killer or survivor is the strongest right now because both suffer from pretty bad balancing depending on the situation.
For example:
-DS and BT are one of the if not the most used perk right now, they didn't get balanced for almost half a year now
-Some killers (let's use spirit as an example) are way stronger than every other killer due to their mobility or impossible mind games for the survivors
-Some killers barely see the light of day and fairly so because they are just way weaker than average (example, pig, legion and deathslinger). when they do get picked it's mostly for the enjoyment of their abilities and not because of their viability
-In my personal opinion i also believe that gen speed is a bit too fast and that opinion does get shared by some other more experienced players than me.
These are just some of the biggest points that i can think of right now but my point is that these are issues that are clear as day and are also very common complaints from both sides so this all boils down to 1 question i have.
Are the people that do the balancing really that disconnected from the state of the game because they have a group of very smart fog whisperers from which i'm sure they can get some proper feedback if asked.
The reason i made a post like this is because i enjoy the game a lot and play it daily without exception and i hate to see it like this.
They have a great group of fog whisperers but completely ignore them lol

@APoipleTurtle said:
These were older masks right? Since as far as I'm aware Payday 2 doesn't really get new support or content anymore (at least not the console versions).
I would've assumed the DbD masks in Payday were a way for Starbreeze Studios (owners of Payday's dev studio and former publishers of DbD) to promote Dead by Daylight at the time.
If Payday 3 ever emerges on the horizon, I could see this kind of crossover happening once again for DbD to try and promote a new Payday game. But Starbreeze is no longer a common denominator for Payday and DbD, so best I can say is maybe.
Definitely agree that some cosmetics in this vein would be welcome either way.
The PC version got three brand new heists and is still doing just fine. Console version is sad yes, but Payday 2 is alive and well.
