Would 2:8 work if i´that mode had its own kind of maps?

On the map pool as it is now, 2:8 would, lbr, a mess.

But what if a 2:8 mode came with adjusted maps that would do the following:

the maps are larger, and there's an additional objective: you have to 'unlock' the area with the gates. this would go thus:

the match starts like a regular 1:4 match on two sides of the map barred from each other and the gates area. survivors can unlock paths they (not the killer) can use to get to the other primary area, as well as (main task) unlocking a mechanism to open up the gates area.

Killers, while they can not go to the other primary area, can manipulate the mechanism if there's no survivor on their primary.

once the gates area is unlocked it'll be both killers vs whoever remains, while the survivors have to do one or two last gens and open the gate.

Broad outline, how does it sound so far?

  • That just sounds like two 1v4 trials and then everyone dies, regardless.

2 v 8 could work. But it needs more than a different mode. It needs mode specific tweaks to items, killer powers and addons.

  • Imagine being chased and downed by a good spirit and basement camped by a bubba with agitation. I'd just like a challenge to another round or best of three button. Even if the other match or two didn't award points for those repeating a trial it could be a nice counter to the ur mad cuz ur ded. Give people another chance to see how someone plays and show them they aren't a gift to Nea.

I don't think they would really work. They would have to tweak some of the killers power because if you paired some killers together and they would be an unstoppable menace. Just think about Identity V's 2v8 mode it's a disaster. I'd rather not see DBD go down the same path
