  • Everyone has access to recording software if he uses windows 10. Just press windows+g and setup shadow recording so you can save the last x minutes of the game recorded in the background without recording all time.
Has nearly 0 impact of the performance btw
Some people might not have Windows ten, (though fairly unlikely) and you’d have to consider the potential complications of having recording software on your  computer. If you can’t clip the game itself, that’s a you problem. It’s YOUR job to get the evidence. Almost no customer service will sit down and look through your games. If they can get a precise clip from YOU, then they can determine what is really going on.

EDIT: I understand recording software sounds great- but sitting through the rest of the games can waste a lot of time.

No, I don't believe we should have a report section - it will quickly lead to witch hunting of individuals etc.

I can also imagine it full of "this person camped me" & "this person looped me" type of posts - with links to their profiles, that's not something that this community needs at all.

Hey Mandy, talking about reports, can you ask the developers or a ACM about giving console players the ability to provide an explanation in the report? Currently only PC users have this ability.
You could just submit a ticket, like many posts have told. It’s the easiest way to get someone on console reported.
  • Hi i have an idea to fix swf. In my opinion swf is way to op and i have an idea to fix that: remove 1 perk slot for all players if there are more than 2 of them on the team( 1 for 3 ppl 2 for 4 ppl) In my opinion this could fix the cancer that ruins this game. What's your opinion let me know (if you don't understand then i'm sorry rly tired  )

Personally, I understand your struggles. Frankly, SWF is fairly annoying, and I get it. But this in my opinion, just is biased. If you want to play with your friends in your survivor, it shouldn’t take away from your gameplay. If you can’t understand and actively counter survive with friends, it is purely on you. I know this topic is a cesspool of controversy, but killer mains (at least from the forums) have learned to deal, and work around it. From least what I’ve read anyway. The devs get the whole issue with survive with friends, but there’s very easy ways to counteract said SWF. For example, they’re often very altruistic, so try taking advantage of that. Other than that, you could probably find tips online, or somewhere around here in the forums.
  • Just a heads up, some Pig player is trapping players in the basement and is stalling the game until players leave the game.

He’s done this 3 times after I blocked him, luckily I managed to recognize him and his playstyle.
Worst case scenario; take a video clip if you haven’t already and submit it to customer service.
  • It just gives more points- it’s more of a risky pursuit if you want the hatch (since you can get caught, and grabbed very easily), the survivors usually do one of these things.
    a. Want extra points
    b. found or had a purple or pink(or red) key
    c. worried about killer camping exit
Those are my reasons for hatch anyway, not sure about the others.
  • Licensing might be a tad expensive- but it sounds super cool.
  • In all honesty, you shouldn’t rely on them that much. Most tutorials online can be  applied to PS4- just take the mouse as the right stick, and the movement as the keys.  You should stick to mind games and looping, 360’s can screw you over very easily.
EDIT: Unless you’re talking about hitting said survivors, which in the case, just crank up your sensitivity so it’s higher and you can lunge (you might not be able to hit them, but it’s one of the best ways to catch em.)
  • Something interesting, like based off mythology but not anything of religious value. Folk lore, maybe? Idk. I think an aquatic chapter would be cool, maybe in like by a dam, or a lake?

“The Endgame solution” Definetly needs to be discussed, though I don’t agree with the 20 minute past mark; as it rewards survivors for looping (which wastes lots of time, if the killer isnt’ very good {but most are}), which as a survivior; I’d like some alternatives for escaping. The exit gates wouldn’t just be magically powered, as the benefits those who hide in lockers and ignore objectives in order to win the game.

But that's my point, there comes down to a point where survivors run out of tools to hide and escape and they can't do the objective so they just hold the game hostage or give up. If the killer doesn't want to chase a survivor for 20 minutes they should have the option to just end the game on even terms since it's at a stalemate. Do you know how many games I've had some guy just hid in the map for 5-10 extra minutes while both exit gates are done and the other survivors died/left? I've literally gone afk to go to the bathroom and eat and the game is still on and that survivor is just dicking around.

This rewards stealth and immersion. If it takes you twenty minutes to catch a survivor, you should work on your killer skills. If the other one has gone AFK; crows would appear over the locker.

  • OP, listen. Both sides are just as toxic as one another; but if you continually refuse to listen, no one is going to help.
  • If it’s favorites, then...
    1.Kate Denson
    2.Claudette Morel
    3.Feng Min

    Least favorites:
    1.David King
    2.Jeff Johanson
    3.Jake Park

The girls are much shorter, and they have better cosmetics IMO.
  • “This is singlehandedly the cheapest product I ever bought. With over 600 games on steam”
    Weird flex but okay.

  • The Spirit, or The Nurse.
Spirit because girl was killed by her father because he lost his job, and she wanted revenge.
The Nurse, because she gives you a little face rub when she mori’s you.

  • Sally would most likely have post-traumatic stress disorder due to the immense issues her job caused. Due to the fact that she went insane; her episodic behavior could be denoted to the psychopathic tendencies the immense stress caused her to push for (aka, the killings). Huntress would most likely be depressed; or suffer from PTSD herself due to the fact that she WATCHED her mother, (who she adored) die right in front of her.
I am not certified to hand out diagnosis by any means, just a theory.
EDIT: Huntress addition: This resulted in her failing to develop and mature normally, which means she likely kept her fascination with child-like behavior.

  • Jeff is an artist- his perk descriptions are written in what canvas size he used, and what type of paint he used. He spray painted when he was in Highschool, but if they were to have a graffiti off, Nea would likely win. However, if it were a paint off, Jeff would win. He may have drawn; but his perks mostly say that he used oil.

When I get mori'd the next thing I see is my character running through the fog just like a sacrifice or escape.

By the way, I don't like the idea of being killed/sacrificed over and over until you're a husk and thrown into the void. Like, that's hopeless. There needs to be light at the end of the tunnel, that would make lore more compelling, otherwise it's just a huge downer for me.

Just because you don't like it doesn't make it false. Sometimes, things just suck.

Not every story has a happy ending; but learning to survive is essential on the behalf of the surviviors. Whatever the survivors do, the entity feeds off of it. According to the wiki, it states “The Entity feeds on strong emotions, for example the Killer's rage, the Survivors' desperation, hope or even affection towards other Survivors. The easiest way for it to procure those strong emotions is through the never-ending trials, invoking hope in Survivors towards an escape from the nightmarish construct. The actual process of feeding itself comes in the form of the sacrifice. It is through that bizarre ritual that The Entity can extract the nourishment it needs to increase its power and sustain itself. Its eventual goal is to consume the world, and each sacrifice plays a part in that growth.

With each passing death, a little of the Survivor's soul is lost. Eventually as all hope evaporates, the Survivor becomes less and less useful to the Entity, slowly devolving into a cold and emotionless shell. These lost Survivors, whose hope has long since left them, are eventually throw into what is known as "The Void", a limbo full of such empty shells.”
Pretty much, there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Though, who knows what the void is like; I’d imagine it to be a grim, cold, and dark pit; much like a ravine. However, “The Void” could also be seen as our reality, where the “shells” would go insane, or just wander the void for eternity.

  • My first game was with Claudette; I sat, and was absolutely terrified of the killer who was chasing me. I think it was the Hag? Not sure. So, anyway, I just wasted pallet upon pallet; and I’m pretty sure I died when not even two generators were done.

  • Transferring all the data on to another engine may cause script errors- most likely, due to the new engine and the compatibility with the current script. I think it’ll be back to normal in a few weeks.
  • Not even a dev stream today

Mathieu ran last time, give him some respect. Things change- they’ll most likely be back up and running once the holidays are over.
  • Good job! :)
  • The major issue with this would be the fact that complying with certain smart phone companies requires extensive communication, and they receive some of money via the gross earned from the app. The technology would not fit the smartphones (or the latest brands), and could cause issues regardless due to graphical quality, framerate- and almost make seem like a different game- it wouldn’t work with licensed characters, either. I would recommend Identity V- a game codeveloped by Behavior that is astutely similar to dead by daylight, but is on mobile. I believe that is the best you’ll get.

(p.s., I think that we should optimize the current platforms before moving on to new ones).
  • Killers:
    1-Spirit
    2-Myers
    3-Hillbilly

    Survivors:
    1-Kate Denson
    2-Claudette Morel
    3-David King

I don’t quite get what you mean in that regard; I understand your concerns asto framerate, but the bloodweb design is fine. Due to the increasingly high demand for the winter event, they pushed one out in hopes of making those happy and continuing the tradition of said winter event. Though there is no objectives, or alternatives, rest assured knowing that sweaters will come out at later dates. The framerate, though annoying does not purely only affect console; I have been on pc and have had some issues.
EDIT: If you’d like to voice a complaint, there’s an ongoing survey! It’s a great way to get some facts on how the community thinks of stuff- you can find it in the thread about winter solstice.

Try it console if you can. You'll understand what I mean by "it's awful".

You can barely move the cursor, the snow particules are 20fps, the bloodweb style decrease the visibility. It results into a headache when you're leveling up, as it takes so much time cause of those fps.

Voice a complaint ? I don't know, they said there would not be console optimization.

I'm just upset and spread my toxicity.

I am very aware of this, and I forgot to mention I own an Xbox.

  • if I’m going to be blunt, this logic is flawed. Literally makes no sense: if your teammate kills themselves, learn to deal. I hate it as much as the next guy, but if it REALLY bothers you that much, play swf
  • It’s a bit of both, really. If I’m being frank, the sales
model and cosmetics are completely optional to the consumer; it is purely your decision to spend money on it- nothing more, nothing less. You might want to stop posting this thread; you’ll get marked for spam.
EDIT: In actuality, this chapter feels like a fan service chapter due to the fact that Jeff’s perks have been requested for quite awhile (if I recall correctly), and someone with the ability to inflict bleed out timers has been requested as well. I can’t be certain, however.
  • The servers could use fixing first and foremost; but I think cross platform between consoles would be a relatively good idea due to the fact cue times are strenuously long on console (not to say I’m ignoring PC since I play on there too), but I think that between the two consoles would be great. I’m not all for PC being connected with console, due to the fact that mouse and keyboard makes aiming much easier, and joysticks make 360 much easier as well. Just my opinion, though.
  • Some people have different opinions, or personal favorites due to overall cosmetic design. Not to say I don’t love Claudette, but for the most part I find myself playing Kate. Though, currently, due to the fact I am migrating over to PC, I don’t have her. ;_;
  • It’s an RNG based system; I think you just got unlucky.
  • Just cleanse totems, and you’ll get NOED: if there is any. And the exhaustion factor wouldn’t make any sense, considering you have the entire game to find said totems and cleanse.
  • I don’t think I’m having issues; however, you should probably check what server you’re connected to based on your location; otherwise, I’ve got nothing. Hope this helps!
  • Assymmetrical game design... killer having a third person perspective would make surviving MUCH harder, and more or less break the game. It’s not gonna happen, IMO, since it goes against the games design.
  • That makes it pay to win, then.
  • Public Test Betas are much easier to pull of on PC because when it comes to releasing DLC or new features, it isn’t required to have a certified playable build. Due to the glitches, it just wouldn’t work. It’s much easier for PC players because a majority of the community is on PC, or Ps4. It’s only fair the former gets to test the feature due to the ways the companies are set up.
  • “Why so many cornfields”
    its a farm
that was twisted by the entity
  • Just be patient. Within the first two weeks of December, the patch will go live.
  • it’s a rated m game for a reason. if you can’t handle the gore like the esrb rating says, don’t play
  • what the higgity heck am I reading
  • It has been updated, but the visual update has not yet come. If you read the text near the bottom, it’s been updated. I asked not_queen on stream about it.
  • it’s just another sign no one seems to have a problem with kate
  • meanwhile there’s just a p3 claudette teabagging a pallet
  • I think... that was someone training a bot.
  • we need a second objective for survivors to do

But... what? There’s not much to the imagination when it comes to that kind of thing.

“Anti-heal meta” Yeah, no. It’s only fair due to the fact most survivors (if they don’t run alternatives, such as bond, or bring a medkit), so saying anti-heal is just disingenuous. If you can’t go to check generators every now and then (and chase the person if they were working on it), you can’t complain if someone gets a gen done. If it’s SWF, I guess that’s understandable, but this post seems utterly mindless, in my opinion. Most killer mains I know, know how to apply map pressure to generators. Though I hate to be the one to say it, but if you’re going to post on the forums, admit to your shortcomings first.

i think you may have misunderstood my question with the new killer being the legion a huge part of his kit being based on the deep wound which is they're to prolong healing and looking at recent patches that nerfed healing times it seems the devs are putting all their effort into making healing longer rather than fixing gen rushing. yeah i know im not the nest in a chase but as a myers trapper mainy my only counters are gen rushers and even though i do improve i am sick of the constant heal nerfs while generators remained untouched.

Oh, I’m sorry! I misinterpreted the question. Sorry for the inconvenience.

its fine dont worry about it i just want the devs to see that the anti heal meta they are building doesn't do much

What I was arguing is that I think anti-heal is fine. Generators can be stopped/slowed via select perks (i.e., PGTW, Ruin if you want, Thanatophobia), and so on.

ahh i see i just wish the only way to slow generators wasnt a hex totem

But... the first and the third one aren’t hex perks.
