But #nomithermonday exists!Entità said:Nevertheless, I fear that, without a buff or a rework, No Mither will be left on the shelves by a vast majority of survivors.

Look, pinging the developers doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting an answer. The point of David’s perk “No mither” is to support his “high-risk” play. In essence, that means his perks in themselves rely on chance decisions and tactics, such as the killer slugging you, or, the killer leaving you on the ground. It also works well with dead hard, since you’re already injured. The faster and infinite recovery is balanced out by his blood trail, which gets smaller and smaller each tier. And I’ll repeat myself- Entitá, please stop pinging the developers; as it not only makes it difficult enough to sort out the more relevant questions than this one. You can read his Wikipedia page (which is ran by the developers). Here’s the link for it: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/David_KingEntità said:NoShinyPony said:@Entità said:

@NoShinyPony The fact is no one uses it, like the old Surveillance.
Yes, but if only a small amount of people plays hard mode, then that doesn't mean that hard mode should be nerfed. It simply means that people don't want to play a mode that is too difficult for them.
I know I am repeating myself but: We are not talking about a useful perk, we are talking about hard mode! Why would a player want to nerf a hard mode instead of seeing it as a challenge or simply ignoring it?
If you want hard mode, then you should stay injured all the trial with blood and grunts: what is the function of No Mither?
The function of No Mither is being the hard mode. There is no other function. The devs could give bonus bloodpoints but I don't see the point in why a hard mode should be made less hard. If it's too difficult, then don't play it,
It reads like what you are looking for is basically Unbreakable that you can use more than once.
Maybe I'm not able to explain myself. If you want to play in hard mode, you can do it at will, you don't need a perk to have it:1) find the killer;2) let them hit you;3) continue the trial remaining injured;4) you leave pools of blood and emit grunts of pain;5) you cannot fully recover from the dying state.Instead, No Mither hard mode is easier, because you don't leave blood, your grunts are halved and you have a fictitious (because the killer won't leave you on the ground, knowing you run that perk, unless they are idiot) hope to fully recover from the dying state.Billy's and Bubba's speed limiters are useful, because they cannot reduce the chainsaw double damage attack at will; while No Mither is meaningless, because who wants an extreme trial can have it even without this perk, and the extreme trial they have without No Mither is harder than the extreme trial they would have if they ran it. Do you understand my point?
So, I'll repeat my question: what's the function of No Mither? Wise @not_Queen @Patricia @Peanits , can you satisfy my curiosity? Is there anybody who can explain me what No Mither adds concretely to the game? I really don't understand why someone should choose No Mither, when they can have the hardest mode ever by simply a) following my five points, listed above, b) running no perks, no items and no offerings, and c) wearing a very visible cosmetic. -

Why not just... find it? That would be kinda against what the killers obj is. Just help your supposed buddy, I guess. But I don’t think that’s needed, considering Cote himself thinks that friendly killers are... weird.Le1n4D said:It’s nothing too major. So basically: it would be nice, if during a game, once 3 survivors are dead/sacrificed and I have the remaining survivor on my shoulder, that I can see the hatch’s aura in white. Basically, if the killer wants to give the last survivor trap door, they can see exactly where it is. Cool beans? -
What if someone plays toxic and isn’t in a SWF? A toxic playstyle shouldn’t be nerfed nor penalized in anyway. The whole point of the game is supposed to be gratuitious, that’s why there’s no VC.
-
that’d be a quick way to get an Adults only rating.
And also, I’m gonna have to quote Queen on that one- “You guys are thirsty!” -
The plot prevents this. Unless that is edited, or change in any way, the survivors usually don’t speak. Even the slightest of whispers can make them meet their demise.

I think the main reason she will not get nerfed anytime soon is that she takes many hours to master, and she is a DLC character. Furthermore, while there being no chase counters as of yet (aside from mind gaming), your main goal is manipulating where she blinks and play around it. For example, say you run forward, the nurse will try to catch up using a blink, and play around which direction she’s going. However this may not work all the time, and is merely what I thought off the top of my head, but I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.
-
The developers have heard, and understand your issue. They are actively trying to push out the charity case as soon as possible. Please wait for just a little longer, it’ll be to you relatively soon, I believe. The devs have stated that they acknowledge and are fixing the issue on stream, I believe. I can’t be certain however.

File a support ticket! It’s one of the best ways to handle this.Dinaqma said:Seriously?!? Numerous times I’ve been called numerous homophobic slurs.. yet you don’t ban people for saying them? Yet you can get banned for calling someone trash... this is NOT ok... -
This is going to be a painfully obvious answer, but no, it’s not going to get removed. Namely due to the fact, some people actually like and use the Bob. Just because something doesn’t look good to you, doesn’t mean it’s trash to everyone else’s view.

The goal of Fog Whisperers is to generate opinions amongst popular Internet personalities- for example, JenDenise, a streamer who plays Claudette, Kate, and almost all of the characters, often wears her various exclusives. When you have the Fog Whisperers, who have said cosmetics, opinions and feedback (with the addition of live gameplay with the skin) helps the viewer determine if they want it. That’s what I think, anyway. Kinda like the celebrity marketing tactic.
EDIT: They answer basic FAQ’s, have codes they can give away, and help endorse cosmetics. These people are well-known streamers with no major tarnishes on their reputation (such as banned accounts, or hacking cosmetics), and have a large following. -
One of how many of them?inkedsoulz said:@Watery said:
Fog whisperers only start at the lower ranks due to the fact that the reset put their ranks there. It's not their fault they're in green ranks. If you're rank one, you're rank ten with two pips after the monthly reset. They didn't intentionally start at green; but since they were rank one, their accounts were moved to there. The streamers often have various different or alternative accounts.
EDIT: Please factor that into consideration. You know, there is this Fog whisperers streamer that deranks everyday from rank 1 to around rank 10, he/she admits to do it everyday before he/starts her stream.

God I'm having Overwatch flashbacks now (also why David? He's a loveable guy!)
Though David is cool, according to Mathieu, he's a not-so-great person.

There's no limit set in stone, YET. Due to the common trend of getting killers every three months or so there'll be a new addition. And by killers, I meant DLC altogether. Four DLCS every year; with many patches to come.

If you believe this is an exploit; file a ticket to the customer support site. However, you'd have to get the killer's Gamertag. You can submit both of those clips here.
EDIT: If you don't have the proper Gamertag for the killer, unfortunately, you cannot receive any help. If you do encounter something like this, be sure to get the killers name and report them via the in-game report system. Take the clip, and provide all the information customer service asks for.Thank you! Support will being dealing with this one shortly!
No need to. Thank YOU for making Dead By Daylight a better place. Thankfully, Dedicated servers are expected to happen this summer; so you won't have as many problems as you do now. As someone who has played on Xbox, I get the struggle. They may take a bit to respond, and if they don't, resubmit the ticket. :chuffed:

I do not condone it by any means, however, please understand why high ranked players may be doing this.
1. Long ques.
2. Same old, same old.
I don’t like that people are doing it for other means; whether it be survivors who are just starting it out are being brutally destroyed by the killer and can ruin experience for them. Since high ranked players- are relatively new, or haven’t played during the season yet, by no means should they be forced to face killers of red ranks. Not to say it wouldn’t be a learning experience, but the tremendous amount of tutorials online help provide useful information for said player. Remember, all people are playing this game for varying reasons and have differentiating goals from one another. If a red ranked player decides to go up to white purely to bully the people that aren’t as good as them, is much like the well-known issue known as smurfing. The process itself is not only dreadful if the person who is throwing is a survivor; as they wish to stray away from all objectives and blatantly fail to partake in gameplay in order to receive what they wish. I’m not fond of putting my ideas in a controversial topic, but I’m going to regardless. -
Well, for those of you haven’t clicked the link, it’s three outfits. Feng and David on the survivor side will be getting outfits, and the Huntress will receive a boar outfit. You unlock these by getting tokens- which involves the Lunar Vessels. There’ll be an add on that allows you to have one more in the match. This event will likely run for 14 days, and have a bloodhunt near the end.
-
that literally throws perks out the window. sure, hexes May exist; but they provide powerful benefits if protected and monitored correctly. Even IF a SWF runs aura perks- its a team working and coordinating their movements in order to play around you. By no means should aura reading suddenly be blocked purely due to the fact that it is a tool of communication, and ease for players. Many players (for those who don’t run self care), run bond, or empathy. Maybe even Aftercare. My point is that aura reading removal altogether would make no sense, and would ruin certain adding as well. Especially for the key.

The answer is definetly yes, as you can see by the sheer amount of forum moderators that have commented on this post. They also advertise the forums on stream, as it is the best way to voice your opinion to them.

You’re heading in the right direction. NOED, however, isn’t the solution. The endgame itself needs to be modified, and many have been putting out ideas for it. First and foremost; consider how this sounds.
You’re on Haddonfield. You get the generators done. You’re now exposed. The gates are on the same wall and are visible to one another. You don’t have a key for hatch, and the killer is actively watching both exits. Not only that, but they’re much faster.
Do you see where I’m going with this? I think ENDGAME, should be looked at. Also consider patrolling the entire map takes roughly eighty seconds, and generators make decently loud noises. The Technician change may change that; but the generator itself and not you repairing it will be LOUD. A generator by oneself takes eighty seconds. With two, it takes 44. With three, 33. With four, 28.2. Generator regression takes over 320 seconds to fully restart a generator, and tap it slightly, and the regression effect on the generator ends. Instead of regression going through .25 charges a second, it should go through a little higher in order to balance out how long it takes in general. When four survivors spawn in, there’s seven generators. My point is- generator regression might need to be looked at itself to prevent the issue you’re dealing with in the endgame, and likely extend the amount of time it takes to fix a generator. With the incoming changes to PT and leader, regression altogether should be sped up. And yes, PGTW does exist, but that’s only if you hook someone and damage a generator shortly thereafter.

Honestly, you’d be better off failing a skill check. Lockers, though decent, are risky to go into especially if you’re hurt because you sounds and breathing can be heard. If you fail a skill check, you wake up. You probably know that already.
-
It’s likely being updated as we speak but not_queen herself; expect it within this week. The streaming time however, is usually around 2:00pm EST. They often stream for roughly 45-80 minutes, and they talk of the updates itself.

The issue with this post is that Ruin is a risky run these days if you don’t have the proper build for it.
Even if you gen-tap, you’re better off finding it as it “slows the game down just a lil bit”. Hex Skillchecks, while annoying, are easy enough to hit (greats) if you have considerable practice. Not to say those on here don’t, of course. I’m just saying it really is dependent upon the scenario, and the constant worry for the other hexes. By that I mean, DH, HL, HG, and so on.
Also, adding to the Red color debate, Red has multiple “meanings”, positive, neutral, and negative. The color red is often associated with love, strain, danger, war, and of course blood. The dull colors of this game adding to its intensity makes me think it depicts strain- as it means to drag out, or make a strenuous or unusually great effort.
Here’s my source about the color red: https://www.colorpsychology.org/red/.
Though I couldn’t seem to find any decent evidence, I based my opinion on the link above. It is an article about the psychology of the color red itself, and is quite an interesting read. -
>take game
>mod game
>mod textures to get a trapper over ganon
>might be for smash4 but who cares -
I really don’t see the use for this, though. Just run quick and quiet, DWM, sprint burst, and you’ve practically got the same outcome. Sure, you have to run to activate sprint burst, but the point of leaving a locker and breaking into a sprint seems pointless to me; unless it’s a billy, or LF.

This update to leader, is correct; as every other process (minus vaulting, of course) namely, progress bars that are not associated with generators, have a 30% increase. Self-Care May be affected my this process (I’m unsure as I have yet to play on the PTB,) but the devs said they’d likely add a pool perk to increase the speed. The leader functions as usual (meaning, that it can be given to survivors near you). However, please do remember, that these changes are on the public TEST build, meaning they can be changed at anytime. Depending upon the feedback of these changes (in this case it is likely to change), it makes Prove Thyself much more usable.
-
^This. So, basically, the changes can be scrapped of changed themselves at anytime. So what you’re reading right now (PTB patchnotes), is currently not set in stone. When the PTB closes, there’ll be a survey. Be sure to leave your feedback there!not_Queen said:Designers like to tweak things. They are still in iteration for some of the PTB changes so when I have more info / confirmations for changes I will update.

Though I love me some danganronpa, wouldn’t fit.
-
i really don’t feel like paying ten dollars every three months to get extra incentives to play when they’re already there. maybe challenges for skins, but other than that, that’s a no from me
-
Tapping takes way more time to complete a generator. They’d be better off find and cleansing your hex instead. That’d also mean, that regressing generators would have their own version of overcharge on them. Plus, skillchecks (great ones, particularly) are very easy to hit once you get the hang of it. Ruin, is a risky perk these days. If you’re not running something to monitor your totems, you’re throwing away a perk slot.
-
Hex perks usually involve totems; but similar to this, the specific hooks would have to have some sort of detail that differentiates themselves from the others. Saboteur, is easily countered by hangman’s trick, and would make that alternative impossible to actually clear, especially since its respawing every 30 or so seconds. Special hooks would be way too RNG based, and could have potential issues in terms of auras. Not to say the cancellation of survivor perks wouldn’t be great, but think about it logically. Could you lose the ability run faster for three seconds when you vault something? How about knowing what survivors auras are, and losing them? Losing the ability to find medication as and search as quickly as you normally do? This would be great in an obsession build, and would have to have a VERY specific killer to befit these perks.
However, all that aside, it’d be cool to have a feature like that. Not to say I’m not a fan of this idea, but it just seems illogical to me. -
camping the exit gate would be common at high ranks, and would play out for interesting scenarios ig
-
It makes solo games when you have no communication much easier. Sometimes, though very rare, a survivor could run into the same generator a survivor is working on. Not only that, but the recent perk changes (such as prove thyself) allow for generators to be done (and the avoidance of survivors working on said generator) which could make it like a whispers for survivor if used right. Of course, these perk changes are constantly being tested and could be changed at any time.
-
If I were to set a bear trap, would I be able to walk through it without triggering it at a normal speed?
It’s highlighted... you can see it clear as day. -
1.since console requires an extensive verification process it wouldn’t fit the guidelines
2.even though pubg ptb may exist do remember console has a genuinely smaller player base than personal computer
3. steams guidelines and larger playerbase makes feedback come back much quicker and in much more quantity, allowing for better feedback altogether
4.would be WAY too much effort just to put out a singular update
5.your current files and ptb files would be two separate entities -

Just let the survivors escape, otherwise you'll be holding the game hostage. Honestly its getting pathetic...true, I would like a DBD only punishing hacking, nothing else
Just... no. No. That’s beyond ridiculous. You need to understand that taking advantage of the game purely for the sack of winning, whether it be, bodyblocking someone in the basement, or whatever; the rules we have now are good enough and fit the games overall structure. By no means should we get rid of them.
-
You do you then, I was just putting in my input. I get your struggles, but at this point nothing is going to be done for it; and devs are happy with it. It’s fairly annoying, I get that. It disadvantages the killer due to the fact there’s comms; but just try to take advantage of how they play. SWF are very altruistic people; if you hook a friend of their’s, they’ll go for it. Play around with it, yfm? I get where you’re coming from though. Not to say that I don’t like SWF- playing with friends is great, and since I’m a survivor, I’m a tad bit biased. But from my experience as killer, (though I wouldn’t say I’m a great killer, I’m somewhat okay), there’s times where you just need to understand that there’s somethings that you should and shouldn’t do. And since the devs decisions as of usual have been of controversy; I just think there’s somethings only the devs really want to do. Instead of focusing on SWF, focus on the base game. Work with the glitches and issues, then handle the ques shortly thereafter. I’m sorry you feel this way, however.
-
You shouldn’t be put at a disadvantage since you’re playing SWF- sometimes, the killer needs to learn how to play around it.
-
Yet you continue playing, allow them to friend you, and you post this to add to the cesspool of toxicity. You’re no better than the people you say are toxic.
-
People who are overly flamboyant about any sort of thing they find as an issue annoy me.
1. NOED
2.SWF
Hag isn’t bad.
Not all Claudette’s are toxic.
Kate, Adam, Jeff, and David need more cosmetics.
360’s are horrific and the console players shouldn’t rely on them.
Sometimes, if you get hit you need to learn to deal.
There’s not as many memes as I remember.
