Off topic slightly but Why was this thrown into feedback and suggestions and not into the bug report section...really don't like how the mods on here unceremoniously dump so many posts in here, way way too many for the team to even read half of them and the good ones get buried because of 50 other posts that get spewed in here

If it's not a bug, you don't have to fix it.

  • Oni is easier to loop then Corrupt Plague.

  • Are you talking about the Mother-Daughter Ring?

The scratch marks that already existed before you used Haunting will still be there, it just stops new ones from appearing.

Anybody is free to do what they want in a private setting. In a public space though there needs to be rules and etiquette. It’s not harmless to have a publicly displayed name that seemingly incites/implies violence against a race or minority (for example). Worse, it’s not okay that minors may be exposed to these either.

"Worse, it's not okay that minors may be exposed to these either."

We are worried about minors being exposed to no-no words? In a game about brutally murdering innocent people?

Update. Deliverance and Second Wind don't stack anymore it got patched... so you literally stay injured with the Perk lit up when the broken status ends.

Second of all. I realized that Second Wind is a stupid perk because Killers come back to hook all the time. So there's no guaranteed opportunities to heal someone off hook anymore and if you get unhooked and they notice you have second wind it's like putting a massive "tunnel me" sign on your back because it encourages them to slug you to keep the perk from activating at all.

If you want a cool perk to help with unhooking just run Deliverance, its much more reliable and fun to use.

Deliverance + Second Wind never worked, no patch nonsense.

  • BHVR needs play testers.

If they have play testers, fire them and get new ones.

Hello there AhoyWolf! Thank you so much very taking the time to give me feedback!

The Entity's Sight: I think you have the wrong. This perk is meant for the KILLER and not the survivor lmao.

Justice Will Be Served: Fair point. I guess SWF would abuse the crap out of this perk. I will change it.

Annihilation: This perk is meant to be powerful. Of course, to balance it out it requires a sacrifice which takes time. Also, neither the Killer or survivors can touch it. That means the Generator wont regress giving the survivors an advantage but also for the Killer since it cant be finished.

Technician's Trick: I added that feature because if not the perk would be pointless.

EX: You activate this perk, Killer kicks the Generator and it gains a 10% bonus progression. Killer notices it doesn't regress. Kicks it again. The benefits of the perk would then just diminish.

Enraged: Yeah that perk combo would be disgusting lmao. Perhaps it would grant a long lunge but also a decreased cool-down for missed/successful attacks?

Elusive Prey: Im glad you like it! Perhaps the terror radius activation would be a good idea.

Stamina: Im seeing a pattern of people despising this perk already lmao. I really do like the idea. Ill just lower the duration then.

Tough as Nails: I understand what you are saying about second chances for survivors. I will look into it!

Thanks again for the feedback and it indeed did help! :3

Insidious Phantasm: Could you elaborate further on what you mean? The intention of this perk was to make survivors waste time by THINKING they see a Hex perk when in reality it was a dull totem. The cleansing effect is meant to add more of a threatening effect for the perk

PS: I just reworked some of them! Check them out! :3

"EX: You activate this perk, Killer kicks the Generator and it gains a 10% bonus progression. Killer notices it doesn't regress. Kicks it again. The benefits of the perk would then just diminish."

    Except not really.

Gens regress at 25% speed. It would take 40 seconds just to remove that 10% regression before it even begins regressing what was already there.

Imagine all 4 survivors using this.

So at rank 4, as killer I need 4 iridescents for 2 points?

    Yes.

At red ranks, Survivors are the ones that need 3 iridescent and 1 gold. Killers need all 4 iridescent.

So im a pig main and i think her power is fine but her Add-ons COULD DEFINITLY BE BETTER. So here is what i would change.

    1)Make Rules Set No.2 Basekit

2)Remove Razor Wires and Workshop Grease as they work against her

3)Replace Rules Set No.2 with(just thinking of these but just anything that's an actual good add-on i will take) Iridescent Creation

4)Replace Razor Wires and Workshop Grease with Weighted Combat Straps and Silent Snoot

Iridescent Creation- Makes every reverse beartraps key on the 3rd or 4th jigsaw box searched

    removes 1 Bear Trap

Weighted Combat Straps- Moderately decreases time it takes to crouch

Slightly increases time it takes to Uncrouch

Silent Snoot-When Charging an Ambush you don't roar or make any noise(ok so i know its kinda OP for a grey add-on but i like the name)

And before ya get pressed in your reply these are just ideas i will take anything somewhat good for new addons the most important thing im trying to say is that i think her add-ons should be better especially razor wires and workshop grease.

    @illuminaegi said:

I feel this. I want Rule Set Number 2 to be Base Kit. She just needs some really minor adjustments and add-ons changed around a bit and she'll be great.

Rules Set No.2 basekit is a bad idea.

The main point of Reverse Bear Traps is to stop survivors from doing gens. The reason why they have the ability to kill is so the survivors are forced to remove it, which means they are forced to waste time. If the survivors do not see Jigsaw Box auras, they will just repair the gens instead. This means they are no longer stopping gen repair, which is bad for you.

While making this basekit would potentially help you get more Game Overs, that change would hurt Piggy's slowdown.

  • @pwncxkes said:

Idk why everyone thinks that running ds and getting unhooked means that you cannot be hurt. That doesn’t make any sense, you can still hit them. It’s not invincibility, either eat the DS or leave them. Plus you can only use it once, sometimes you don’t even get to use cuz the killer is not even in the area.

Stop thinking that you can’t do anything because someone has DS, stop having that kind of mindset, these DS threads about having invincibility is really annoying.

There very much is, so you think that the survivor cant influence at all if a deathslinger will get the hit or not? Breaking line of sight, getting distance, being unpredictable all make it much harder for him to get the hit, you dont need to react if you can make it so he cant get a clean shot, and even then it's the same speed as a fully charged hatchet with a much smaller hitbox, so depending on the range it is reactable , if you dont think that's counterplay than what is.

On the spirit point it is a guess, but an educated guess , alike almost everything in this and any other human v human game, hell even chess could be considered a series of educated guesses. And I highly doubt anyone would say that chess is just guesses, so therefore you cant counter your opponent. I could go into more detail but theres a plethora of discussions about this on these forums, take your pick.

    Chess isn't a good example.

Imagine if your opponent didn't need to move their pieces, and could instead place them on a board you can't even see, closer to Battleship. If you guess where they moved their piece incorrectly you just straight up lose the game.

    That is Spirit.

I did and like I said, he is fine as he is right now.

Except for the part where some of his add-ons suck, and that some Survivors hate playing against him.

  • @Maperson said:

He was nerfed already, he is fine now.

You could try actually reading. I also put buffs.

  • I don't know anyone that does, and when I rarely see Deathslingers none of them use it. They are mediocre, even when compared to his common add-ons.

Iridescent Coin: Works only within a narrow ring around you (between 15-18 meters). Spearing a survivor at these distances gives you barely enough time to hit them when pulled in, and that's in an open area. If there are any objects you will not drag them in, unless you use Prison Chain / Bayshore's Gold Tooth. Not even worth trying to get use out of.

Hellshire Iron: Terror radius is smaller then normal (24 meters), can barely turn + default fov is too narrow (87°). Basically requires you to use Distressing + Shadowborn to get consistent use out of, but increasing your terror radius makes it harder for you to sneak up to survivors.

When a killer's common add-ons are more valuable then their ULTRA RARES (like Modified Ammo Belt), I consider them failures.

  • No one seems to remember that only corrupt purge used to effect PWYF.

This is a pretty huge nerf.

No, they never enabled it in the first place. The previous ptb was bugged on it's own, not because of the hit validation system. At that time, they said that they'll test it on live soon after the ptb. Now we are at the next PTB and we didn't hear anything new about it.

Can't have ######### in the fog I guess. It would be nice if one of the MANY lead community managers, community managers, acm, mods and whatnot would actually say something. With so many people in charge of "managing the community" one would expect their communication would be top notch, but it's worse than ever. In 2016-2017, with no community managers and a smaller team the dev team felt really connected with the community. Makes me wonder what are all these people doing since the only one who posts on the forum from time to time is @Peanits .

The community managers and mods seem to not have much information to work with. If they responded to every post directed at them, we would just see a lot of "maybe?"s.

    Platform: PC

Description: While testing perks with friends in a custom game, I discovered (and tested this again with different players) that the terror radius reduction from Furtive Chase does not occur.

Steps to Reproduce: I've only tested this on Legion so far.

    • Enter a custom game with 2+ people
    • Run Legion
    • Put on Furtive Chase
    • Get 4 or more stacks of Furtive Chase off of your friends
    • Use a map tile which you know the length of (such as the main building in Ormond) and ask your friends to walk towards you until they can hear your terror radius
    • Measure the approximate size of your terror radius.

This has occurred every time I've tested it so far.

"...and ask your friends to walk towards you"

Silly question, but have you tried this in chase? It effects your terror radius in chase.

  • The reason everyone tells you not to self diagnose is because it makes things even worse.

I don't even need to know anything about you, or even your current situation, to know that you most likely gained additional symptoms after reading more about it. It's possible for you to believe so hard that you have a disorder that your mind copies what it reads so you "fit". The best thing you can do is talk to a therapist.

  • Hillbilly, Wraith, and Trapper power dailies.

Most dailies for both sides are 30,000 BP, but 2 of these are 25,000 and Wraith's is only 20,000(!!!)

  • Something to note, it doesn't completely counter group inefficiency. It used to be 100 - 15 + 15, but now it's (100 - 15) * 1.15. So instead of 100% it is now ~98% because balance?

  • Your job is to tunnel and camp the OoO user.

Eventually people will learn to stop using it.

Collect all of the salt after.

  • The main argument I see is that Loud Noise Notifications are annoying. What if they just gave Discordance it's own unique sound that isn't?

  • I would like to use it, but I constantly see posts about it being broken, and patch notes about it being "fixed". I really couldn't tell you if it was working. Don't want to bring a potentially nonfunctional perk.

  • His add-ons are so bad it's amazing.

5 hair add-ons that accomplish the same thing (increase duration of T3, but increases the time it takes to reach T3).

5 add-ons that give stalking aura reading.

Only 3 of the 10 are even worth using - Hair Bow, Fragrant Tuft of Hair, Scratched Mirror.

That's 7/20 add-ons that could just be deleted.

  • Survivors would dodge lobbies that have suboptimal perk builds.

DS/U/BT/A now mandatory instead of meta.

  • @Shivadeathkiss said:

Their are plenty of perks that allow the killers to see all 4 of the survivors auras under certain circumstances.

I just don't think OoO is as OP as your making it.

It's Premonition on steroids, and the aura reveal for the Killer is tilting instead of a downside.

  • Smiley Face Pin is my favorite just because of how easily it can be applied. You can potentially give all 4 survivors a 60 second blindness as soon as you find the first person.

Now that there is some one using Object of Obsession EVERY SINGLE MATCH this is actually pretty valuable!

  • @Tricks said:

I run Overwhelming Presence (which by itself is pretty underwhelming) But add in with Distressing regularly on Trapper, Legion, Freddy and Pyramid Head. I'd run that combo on more killers but those are the only ones I have both of them at rank 3 and they work pretty well together.

Distressing disorientates Survivors who are used to standard terror radius (which works even better on killers like Freddy who already don't have a standard terror mechanic) and Overwhelming Presence which becomes even more powerful with larger effect area. Another good perk to run with these is Coulrophobia

Even with that build though, it still isn't doing much for you.

    Distressing - disorientating

    Coulrophobia - very strong anti-heal

Overwhelming Presence - just stop using item lmao

  • @handfulofrain said:

Trapper: Logwood dye needs to be changed. Tar bottle is perfect as is. Also, the coils and jaws should both be changed to be not useless.

Clown: Tattoo's middle finger is ok. Not great, not bad. Movement speed addons help tremendously with reloading in chase.

The moment speed addons absolutely do not help you.

The reload speed addons outclass these so greatly its not even funny.

With the "Baited Traps" build on Hag, I was able to effectively destroy 2 keys, a medkit, and a flashlight. This was before the MMR system took effect and I was/still am Rank 4-3 against high ranking survivors, so I'm actually really happy with the change to FD. I really wasn't expecting it to destroy anything because of how lenient the timer is, but was surprised that 1 minute and 30 seconds felt like such a short amount of time. I also tried it on Demogorgon against a 4 man SWF who I kept playing a juggling act with over the 1 Ultra Rare key they brought into the match. Demo wasn't as effective as the baited trap build on Hag or Trapper, but it was still funny as hell knocking the key out of one of their hands, only to see the rest of the team scramble to try and distract me so one of them could pick it back up.

Lastly I used it on PH, and drew trenches over their items, which turned out more effective than I had anticipated since they would crouch and slowly move along a trench trying to find their item, only the get tormented the moment they picked it up since doing so made them stand up on the trench. Even better, If they couldn't find their item in the trench in time, after it gets eaten by the entity, they still go searching for it in the trench while crouching around, which is such a waste of time for them, and gives me an edge I wasn't expecting. Medkits and Toolboxes are easy to find in a trench, but Keys, Maps, and Flashlights aren't since the trench covers them up, so I had a lot of fun with that.

Overall, I'm actually enjoying the new FD, even if it's mostly a meme perk, and best used on Trap based killers or killers who can cover up the items with something like a Demogorgon Portal or a PH Trench/trail, The only problem I have with it though is how dim the auras on the items are, especially tiny keys, which makes it difficult to find them so you can trap them sometimes, otherwise It's been a fun improvement to the perk.

Didn't even think about using it on PH. Good find!

  • @TheDFD said:

  • 4.2.0

The Huntress will be receiving some changes in this update. For the most part, we are happy with the way The Huntress performs. Her power is very versatile, allowing her to zone out Survivors and down them from far away. From a Survivor’s perspective, there is also a reasonable amount of counterplay, leading to interesting chases where the best player often comes out on top.

Given that we’re already pretty happy with the way The Huntress performs, the changes to her base kit are minimal. We are not removing any of the options you have with her hatchets. Instead, we want to focus on the skill-based gameplay and put an emphasis on using your hatchets effectively, only adding a small drawback to misusing your hatchets.

In 4.2.0, The Huntress' hatchets will now feature a new Overdraw mechanic. Charging your hatchet will now cause your arm to accumulate "tiredness", which can be seen both in the lower left corner around the power icon and on the hatchet itself. Moving while charging the hatchet will also cause you to become tired. This tiredness will dissipate over time whenever a hatchet is not being used.

You are also now limited to 2 hatchets at a time.

Makes sense for Madness to override mending, seeing how it also overrides healing and working on generators and all that.. Mending taking priority would make no sense.. and would have people ask for Healing to also take priority. Why? Because mending does, so why not healing? And cleansing totems too maybe! Oh and why not generators? So basically being in Madness 3 would become useless and people will play Doctor even less.

It's part of his power's kit. Yes it sucks, but it's not something that happens very often anyway, unless the people you play with enjoy going for unsafe unhooks in the killer's face with the excuse of having Borrowed Time. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

You have a limited amount of time to mend. Everything else you mentioned doesn't.

  • BHVR knows about this and have decided that madness 3 should override mending.

Any issues you have with this will be promptly thrown into the trash.

  • It's the way that survivors play when they have the Borrowed Time effect, which is eerily similar to when they have Decisive Strike.

They know they are invulnerable and shove it in your face.

  • ClowN

    Buff

Reduced terror radius to make it easier for him to sneak up on Survivors. Around 20-24 would be good.

Bottles now deal damage on direct hits. This might be too strong, though, so the slowing effect of bottles might need to be removed to balance this out.

    Nerf

Instead of coughing/grunting when throwing bottles, breaking pallets, and vaulting, he is now always coughing. The coughing is omni-directional and can be heard from a maximum distance of 40 meters, to give the survivors a warning he is nearby.

For personal reasons he is now also Russian.

  • I noticed this always happens when something occurs for the first time.

    1. the first time the killer gains Bloodlust
    2. the first time the killer attacks anyone
    3. the first time Sloppy Butcher is applied (as killer and survivor)
    4. the first time getting shocked by Doctor
    5. pretty much every status effect / add-on

And it resets every match. So you go through the entire list every game, freezing every time.

  • Personally, I don't think any thought should be put into this mode at all.

Make no changes whatsoever to maps, perks, gens, etc. Just throw everyone into the match as is.

The complaints about every gen going too fast, or overpowered killer combinations, isn't that the point?

  • @YaiPa said:

you can't have a 2v8 match. It will never happen, killers would just hard camp and hard tunnel. Loops would became impossible, since 1 killer can bodyblock pallets while the other chases. When someone is hooked they can just camp him to death, since if someone tries to get the trade he gets immediately downed with 2 consecutive hits, if someone saves with bt same thing, and same thing goes for ds.

it is impossible for a mode like this to work.

If both killers camp and tunnel one person at a time, that still leaves 7 people to do gens.

I think you are worrying too much.

  • The only time blood is visible is when I have Bloodhound equipped.
