So the server hit validation system was a lie
Just like the movement extrapolation system, but at least they tried that one in a PTB.
Pretty good job so far.

Didn't they can one of these because twitch users complained that they couldn't moonwalk?
Yeah pretty much no word on what went wrong or when it's coming. Thatd the only reason I was excited for the patch.
They disabled it because it messed up the servers, they are testing it on some separate regions.
No, they never enabled it in the first place. The previous ptb was bugged on it's own, not because of the hit validation system. At that time, they said that they'll test it on live soon after the ptb. Now we are at the next PTB and we didn't hear anything new about it.
Can't have ######### in the fog I guess. It would be nice if one of the MANY lead community managers, community managers, acm, mods and whatnot would actually say something. With so many people in charge of "managing the community" one would expect their communication would be top notch, but it's worse than ever. In 2016-2017, with no community managers and a smaller team the dev team felt really connected with the community. Makes me wonder what are all these people doing since the only one who posts on the forum from time to time is @Peanits .
I'm really hyped for this and 60 tick but now I'm used to do doing no communication at all
The community managers and mods seem to not have much information to work with. If they responded to every post directed at them, we would just see a lot of "maybe?"s.
Same actually more so than the Chapter itself.
I would be all in for them to "skip a chapter" to focus on polishing the game and the server's. But those don't bring in new money though eventually they are shooting themselves in the foot the quality of the product is starting to suffer.
In 2016-2017 the game was new and they were still trying to make their money, especially with Starbreeze still involved.
Four-plus years later, and it appears they made their money, so now just take the typical game studio approach of: we'll talk to you when and if we feel like it, and only then.
They NEVER actually tried it. The latency wasn't because of the system, the ptb was sending people to the wrong servers. That's what @Peanits said. This is what bugs me, they didn't even try it to see how it will work.
