Why did they freak out about Inner strength?
Why did they freak out For the people?
Why did they freak out about Any means necessary?
Why did they freak out about Built to last?
Why did they freak out about Deliverance?
Why did they freak out about Desperate Measures?
Why did they freak out about Soul guard?
Why did they freak out about Flashbang?
Should I go on? Because if a perk does not look like complete garbage, the sky is falling.

Or...punish the ones ruining the games against her?
I personally think that if someone DCs too much in a short amount of time they should be banned for a month or even a year. Too many people are ruining games now, it's getting out of hand.
The Nurse is the one who is ruining games against her. No matter how we spin it, being slugged for 5 minutes is not fun. Pure and simple. Note that we are not arguing about how balanced it is or whether it is not. I am saying that games against Nurse are boring and annoying, leading people to DC'ing.
Now, I am not supporting DC'ing, at all. Say you punish people for it, without addressing the root cause (yet another bandaid). What will happen is that instead of DC'ing, people will stop playing and just go AFK. This doesn't make the game any more playable and enjoyable. The only way to fix this is to address the root issue of how boring it is to go against a slug Nurse. There is next to no interaction between the killer and the survivors. People don't play games just to look at their screen for 5 minutes being able to do nothing besides waiting.

Boons have no downside. Hexes are supposed to be high risk, high reward (even when they feel high risk, low reward). But boons are low risk, high reward. So i don´t get why survivors can relight them as often as then want. Especially since this was an issue with Undying:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Y81L1HFRL52U/undying-jpg.jpg
So can survivors defend their boons? No, killers can.
Are boons map-wide? No, hexes are.
If you really want boons to be hexes and make them single-use then also make them map wide and add a way for survivors to protect their perks.

If those cowards believed in hit validation, they would add it to vaults. I wonder why they won't. It is so hard to figure out! Come on, just let the "server" decide what happened.
The server decides what happens. That's how validation works.

16 seconds its a good timer for a hex. Mine staying 3-5 seconds after start. Its most useless perks in game
It takes 14 seconds to cleanse alone. I seriously doubt they get cleansed in 3 seconds.

I posted my own discussion about it, after trying out Hex Pentimento. Would be cool to get a Hex perk, that'll rekindle your destroyed totem, so you get the Hex perk back, that was bound to that totem.

Disagree.
She's the same power level as Doc, just harder to use.
Naturally. You only agree if it's a killer buff or survivor nerf.
-
The vaulting time already got decreased from 3 seconds to around 1.6 seconds. That's already fast enough, to the point where tier 3 Myers can vault as fast as survivors with fire up.
-
Only the first one makes sense.
You can still be tunneled right at the end and you may be dodging the killer and going in for a tiny bit of progress, then another survivor does it etc until the exit gate is opened. Touching an exit gate does not mean you are not being tunneled.
You can also down 2 survivors very close to each other, it doesn't mean you didn't tunnel them.
-
Kindred, yes.
BS, no.

The problem with what you are suggesting is that by seeing the Killers profile you can work out a lot about the player in advance. For example from a Steam profile with their achievements you can usually work out which killer they're the most likely to play and change your build accordingly.
It used to be that you can see the Killers profile a long time ago (on Steam), and this led to players being effectively "blacklisted" because they were known for being a fantastic Nurse player for example, so they were dodged. That led to a lot of queue hopping, which affects matchmaking as well as players waiting an extraordinary long time for a match, just because they chose to play a character or that they were good at that character. So it was removed for very good reasons.
Then why the same argument is not made for killers being able to see survivors profiles? Killers lobby dodge too based on the info they can find on survivors profiles or change their build or killer according to that.

Ye well averaging potatoes with jet fighters... smart
So 10 potatoes and 2 jetfighters have an average of 6 😂
You are averaging the number of kills, I assumed this was obvious for everyone, but maybe not for you. Your post made absolutely no sense, but if you want to average jet fighters and potatoes be my guest.

Devs are basically saying they don't care to make killers be fun and skillful, because at the end of the day every killer should only be able to get a 2K.

You conveniently forgot that.

Ironically, yes. It is past time killer mains actually adapted to something instead of screaming until they get it their way.

And the killer's build is not frustrating in the slightest, right?

How do you know your MMR? Or if you lose you are automatically high mmr and when you win the survivors were automatically low mmr. That's how it works?

Let's see. Dead hard and pallet validation, baiting grab hits
Maps, gen speeds, sheer amount of pallets. Making killers feel aweful to play(see twins and slinger)
Do I need to go on....Or ?
So you proved what? That they try to fix their game so it works as it should? DH didn't work, adding validation fixed it. Pallet validation aims to fix hits that shouldn't happen at pallets.
Maps were nerfed and shrank in size multiple times.
"sheer amount of pallets" man you should of been here in 2017 with 30 pallets on asylum, all ultra-safe. I wouldn't call 14 pallets max a "sheer amount of pallets".
Try again.

The killer doesn't get sucked into the totem while snuffing. If you remove collision while cleansing a totem the survivor would get stuck in place.

Was any of these changes bad?
You are completely missing the point. He never said these were bad changes. He said these were changes meant to HELP THE KILLER which directly contradicts the "devs only care about survivors" bullshit.
-
While you are at it, maybe make the perk start active and then have a cooldown of 45/60 seconds instead of needing to be charged.
-
Is this a bug or a sneaky nerf to a perk that was perfectly fine? I really hope it's a bug tho.
-
I'd take DH only because I can figure out where windows/pallets are most of the time. I didn't play the new maps(think after deathslinger) enough to learn them properly so maybe if we only considered the new maps I'd pick Windows of Opportunity,
-
Did you just play on the 2016 build of the game? Otherwise, there is now way you had 30 pallets and big maps. Someone is stuck in time.
-
Make it so you can only insta down people you hooked at least once. This way, if a survivor managed to avoid/escape the entire game you can't get a cheesy kill with noed at the end of the game.
That's literally the only change it needs. If you did well, hooked all survivors 1 or 2 times but you simply need more time NOED will help as it reduces the chase time in half. But if you didn't even see a particular survivor the entire game or were unable to catch him then NOED won't hand you that player on a silver platter.
-
Survivors should be able to see HEX auras.
-
Sure, let's keep focusing on the 3 maps they have not updated yet where the totem spots are still bad and ignore the fact that the majority of maps where reworked and have good spots, especially the indoor maps.
-
How do any of you know you are high mmr killer/survivor? You don't.
-
If you have insurance for the Chainsaw you can send it to a certified entity chainsaw repair center. It takes 1 to 3 years to receive it back because the devs are lazy ... ummm.... I meant the Entity is busy.
If you don't have insurance then it may be time to consider playing another killer. Trying to fix it yourself voids the warranty and could result in serious injury for Bubba.

- "Avoid any damage during the Dash."
It worked fine for me.
The Killer is also supposed to be able to injure you when they hit you, but that sometimes doesn't work either.
"it worked fine for me"
That's a lie. Countless people complained about it not working, you can watch it happening on streams, in youtube videos, everywhere. It did not work.
But, let me ask you one thing. If it worked fine then the change in this patch won't change anything, right? You know, because the change is supposed to make DH invincibility frames work but you claim it already worked. So then literally nothing changes. Why are you calling it a buff then?

Yeah, I'd like some Legion buffs please.
The legion's po power still works according to the specification. Regardless of the fact that you think it is too weak or too strong. It works like it is supposed to work.
DH, regardless if you think it is too strong or too weak, didn't work according to the perk's description. That is fixed now

@Mandy said:
There were already changes made to Boon Totems before they went live, they'll continue to be monitored but not plans that I can share at the moment.
24 seconds to bless a hex, then 16/2 = 8 seconds to heal equals 24 + 8 = 32 seconds and this does not factor in the time it takes to find a totem. which takes more than 10/20 seconds. At this point just bring self-care.
14 seconds to bless a regular totem, 8 seconds to heal = 22 seconds + the time it takes to find a totem which is more than 10 seconds. Selfcare is still faster.
And all this in a small radius around the boon. If you get injured on the other side of the map, assuming the killer doesn't instantly snuff the totem, you still have to traverse the entire map to get to your boon totem. Again, slower than self-care.
I hope monitoring also includes the possibility of them being buffed so they aren't actually useless, but likely monitoring only means let's see if we nerf them more.
Sadly, people don't take numbers/facts into accounts, just feelings. They believe boons are op and roll with it, even tho logically a heal from the boon totem takes more than a self-care heal. BUT the devs seem to respond to feelings and nerf things that are not objectively broken, just because a part of the player base feels that way because they want to feal that way.
-
Only true killer mains can twist a bug fix to something that was literally broken for years into a buff.
I wonder if a killer didn't work 70% of the time for 2 years and it suddenly got fixed, would you be calling that a buff too? Of course not.
-
And the game is better for it.
-
@Phasmamain said:

Devs already tried this, it sucked, won't happen, adapt and move on.
If they manage to 99 the exit gates then you pretty much lost at that point. Stop expecting and demanding the game to hold your hand and give you a win when you lost.
EGC is not there to help the killer or to put pressure on the survivors, it is there to prevent games lasting an absurd amount of time. If they 99 the gates and refuse to do anything else, you can open the gate and trigger the EGC.

It’s rude to say „Who cares?“ in a topic where you already know that at least OP cares. You were directly talking down on them.
no one would have had a problem if you said „I don’t care“. You know, stating your opinion without talking down on others opinions.
Fair enough. I don't care. A portion of the people present here do not care. There are some who care. Is it explicit enough?

How is it rude? Just because I stated that players constantly come and go is not a big event? Well, it is not. It seems that these days if you disagree with something you are automatically rude.
-
Who cares? Everyone is free to do whatever they want: uninstall, reinstall, stop/start playing. To each his own.
-
Playing games is not a necessity. Posting on a forum is not a necessity. You do it tho and don't seem to be mad about it.
NFTs are bad, but the people screaming bloody murder at BHVR are equally guilty of polluting the planet and no one bats an eye.
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2568948#Comment_2568948
It’s not certain right now. Chances are that Steam handles this one differently as BHVR is ‚only‘ indirectly involved by creating the assets and all.
the thing we need to ask ourselves now is, do we want to support BHVR doing this? And this goes to any player -regardless of platform.
"Behaviour worked with Boss Protocol over several months to adapt in-game models for use as NFTs and approved them prior to the release of Pinhead in DbD. The NFTs have a chance to grant access to the #Hellraiser chapter of DbD."
Sounds like they are directly involved since they actively worked on them and approved them.

They will get punished if you do gens and not feed the killer pressure.
As the game designers pointed out, in theory, that works, in practice it does not. It takes a long time for solos to realize someone is face camped so they don't get much gen progress.
-
Yea, heal yourself "super fast". 24 seconds to bless the totem and then 8 seconds to heal = 32 seconds. Same as self care, without factoring in the time it takes to find the totem and if we do, it's slower than self care.
"super fast"
Boons will be OP just like Power Struggle, Deliverance, Inner Strength, For the People, Any Means Necessarily, Desperate Measures, Smash Hit, Counterforce, Flashbang, Head On, Soul Guard, the buffed WGLF and others were OP. Oh, wait...
-
DBD is not a scary game. That's not why people play it. Stop trying to change it into something totally different. Want scary? Play Outlast, Resident Evil, and the multitude of other horror games.
Also fun fact, no matter how "scary" something is, if you are exposed to it for hundreds or thousands of hours it will stop being scary. That's just how the human brain works.

Corrupt doesn't work against swf. They just afk 2 min.
So it bought you 2 minutes. I don't see the problem. Use these 2 minutes to find and chase survivors or for setup(if you play something like Trapper).
