  • MOM needed a buff, but what the devs did took away any uniqueness from the perk and feels like even another nerf to an already very situational and lousy perk. Here is how to properly change it: 1. Revert it to 3 tokens. 2. Allow BOTH protection hits and safe unhooks for gaining tokens. Hold on, hear me out before yelling at me that it was already tried in a PTB. Add a cooldown of 10-15 second

  • "Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the size of this mid-chapter, the change to The Spirit which would cause her to kick up dust while phasing needed to be pushed until further notice. The directional audio will be in the mid-chapter PTB as planned. We’ve seen some mixed feedback to the dust change specifically, so we will monitor feedback closely from the PTB and subsequent release to

  • It appears there is some serious bias inside the dev team regarding killer vs survivor perks. The norm for survivor perks is to either have an activation condition, an effect that's not terribly bad or good and a penalty for using the perk or just an effect that's bad so no one even uses the perk. Case in point, Deliverance. You have to earn the perk by performing a safe unhook, then you have to

  • Passive: Each time your aura is revealed to the killer, the perk icon lights up for 3 seconds. This works for the entire duration of the match, regardless of tokens/state of the perk. The idea is to add more value to the perk, so you don't play with 3 perks for most of the match, if the killer has a heavy aura reading build(or just BBQ for that matter). Active: press a button to activate the per

  • When you take a hit near a downed survivor you are protecting them from being picked up: -they may have unbreakable/soul guard/no mither, thus you are buying them time to recover. -they may have flip flop which will translate into easier wiggle once being picked up -they may have power strugger which may activate because you distracted the killer long enough for them to recover -the killer

  • It's past time to buff this perk. You panicked and over nerfed it and then just let it be trash for years. There is absolutely no reason to have such a harsh penalty after activating the perk when it basically requires you to throw the game to get stacks and it takes a considerable amount of effort. Or, you know, keep the penalty and do a proper nerf. Peanits said the PTB version didn't go thru

  • What is even the point of buffing something if it's still not going to be used? When are the designers going to stop being scared by killer backlash and actually give something time to see how it ends up working before gutting it? Why wasn't the same "we wait a few months before doing changes" that's applied for killer powers & perk changes applied here?

  • So new Lucky Break is now 45 seconds. A Self-Care heal is 32 seconds. That means you effectively get 13 seconds of use out of this perk. If you don't self-care and use a teammate the heal is 16 seconds, but you still have to find someone which usually takes more than 16 seconds. Any way you put it, you get less than 15 seconds of actual use. Great, devs! You really showed how scared you are of

  • The change is fine with the exception of these 2 things: 1. It shouldn't deactivate if you heal. It is possible to bring a very fast medkit or a medkit with a borrowed-time bottle or insta heal. You can be chased, drop a pallet, heal a tiny bit, loop some more, heal a tiny bit etc. This DOES NOT MEAN that you aren't being tunneled and it's a risky play by itself because you trade distance for a

  • I know Almo said they are going to rewrite the networking code to make it work with the client-server architecture. But he also added that they are going to make changes to how it functions. So what exactly are you going to change? What's your goal? Nerfing, buffing it or something else?

  • Just like the movement extrapolation system, but at least they tried that one in a PTB. Pretty good job so far.

  • Again and again and again: 3 trash survivor perks that no one will use and you will promise to buff them for a year until you actually make a very small change that doesn't actually change anything. 3 killers perks that are either decent or will be buffed after the ptb to be decent. Why do you keep making survivor perks if you have no intentions of making anything unique, fun or decent?

  • Yes, yes, I know, you are already yelling at me for daring to say something so offensive, but bear with me for 5 seconds. I will make this extremely clear and short. The following scenarios can happen: 1.You were planning to camp: BT did it's job, nothing more to say. 2.You don't camp and leave the hook: the hooked survivor will get unhooked and BT won't come into play. Now you have 1 healthy

  • Devs, what's up? You basically did 3 changes to Hillbilly in the span of a few weeks(+Leatherface addons changes and only killer perk changes in the PTB) but you can't seem to be able to find time to fix some of the garbage survivor perks after they've been bad for years, not even the changes you announced like 6 months ago for perks like Any Means Necessarily, Vigil, etc. It's very refreshing t

  • We know MOM is a kinda iffy spot, where we can't have it be easy to activate since it's strong, but in it's current state is way too unreliable, requiring players to completely throw the game just to get the stacks. Chances are if people just did gens instead of hunting MOM stacks they wouldn't need to tank that hit anyway. People proposed several changes for MOM, where the most common one seems

  • I feel like people are way too resistant to change in this game. It's a live service game, everything is bound to change. People always act like only their side gets nerfed or that the developers have some kind of personal grudge against their side, but if you objectively look at every single patch notes across the 4 years you'll see both sides got nerfs and buffs. It's also probably because mos

  • Why didn't you buff some survivor perks too? Most of them are bad and in desperate needs of serious buffs. Plus, it's only fair to give some love to both sides, not just one.

  • The perk description should be changed as follows: Or you know, acknowledge it doesn't work and fix it already .

  • Since we are in a "no heal meta"(more or less) I thought of a new, interesting concept for a healing perk. Something different than holding M1 for 32 seconds or getting healed over time(it's actually the opposite) Here it is: Every time you or the last survivor you fully healed repair the equivalent of a full generator, gain a token, for a maximum of 1/2/3 tokens. When you have at least one t

  • I'll start with the changes and then explain the reasoning behind them: 1.Distorsion is disabled when entering the trial. Survivors have to press a button to activate the perk. After it is activated it works as it does right now. To be clear: this is not like "decide which aura readings to block", but it's "from now one block 3 aura readings". 2.Distorsion gets a new passive: every time your au

  • The question: I am curious what is the official dev stance on mettle of man. Is it going to be adjusted again seeing as how pretty much everyone agrees the perk is extremely unreliable(or "bad") right now? I'm not using a hyperbole here, there were quite a few questions on steam forums asking if MOM is viable and I didn't see at least one positive answer. @Peanits, please. I understand this may

  • As title says, this topic is about some balance changes to existing perks. This topic will focus only on survivor perks, mainly because killers got decent/good/useful perks since Huntress dlc, while survivors mainly got situational/underwhelming/straight out bad(looking at you boil over) perks. Of course, there are some killer perks(mainly the old ones) that could use some reworks, but I believe
