A lot of people seem to have confused the title (and especially the word "outdated") with the phrase, "tell me everything you hate about this game."

I think wraith is a worse killer than trapper, but trapper is more dated mechanically. Still they both need some work for sure.
Trapper be like....OoO? Well there goes my power. A map? Well there goes my power. Dead hard, okay just ignore all my loop traps okay.....a luck offering that literally only messes with my already dated and ridiculous RNG escape mechanic and makes you slightly more likely to kobe? Of course......
This right here
-
Wraith and Clown are much worse than Legion easy. Legion is much better than people give them credit for.
-
The idea is that it might shake the screen enough to make the survivor miss the DS.

DBD contains lots of sexual connotations.
It´s a game of chase and desire, obsession, submission and dominance, tease and denial. Survivors often sound like they enjoy getting hit, picked up and hooked way too much, most prominent examples being Jane, Feng and Adam.
We have moved away from classic slasher Survivor outfits and got a wide variety of silly, goofy, sexy and cute outfits to make the characters more visually appealing.
It´s no coincidence that this community is the thirstiest of them all, no matter if they´re straight, gay or other.
Bruh... Are you okay? Nothing you said is even close to right.
-
You good? Afraid you'll catch the gay?

For me there is one key difference.
I NEVER WANT TO USE DS WHEN I HAVE IT. As a killer, I want to use Pop whenever I can. The killers is also technically in control of when both perks are used as the killer has to A) Hook someone, B) Down the survivor again and C) Pick them up.
That's just you. Tell it to the tens (hundreds, thousands, whatever) of people who jump in my face after they get off the hook.

@Almo said:
Pop's duration is being reduced because we found you could spend too much time doing other things and still have it available.
God, if only that line of thought was used for DS. Funny how that works, huh?

lol BHVR literally does not care about No0b3, he has a bad history with them.
Like I said, find someone else to watch, someone who actually gives a hell about you.
Somebody is salty for some reason.

If that were the case I am sure Otz would have never got 50 wins in a row with Legion and Hag. I hate to say this and I am saying this as a killer main...get good!
You do realize that 99% of red rank matches are against potatoes, right?
I would know. I've been sitting at rank 1 for 12 months now.
Also Hag is one of the best killers in the game lmao what kind of argument even is that

Remove OoO from my list so I can replace it with Unbreakable.
Just deal with it, next game. OoO is very rare to face. And yes, I'm solo.
I can safely say 99% of killers would rather face the small pp build than OoO.

@Pipefish said:
As someone who has a fair amount of hours on both, here is my opinion.
SWF>Killer>Solo
All things being equal, a great SWF will beat a great killer, All things being equal, a great killer will beat great survivors.
Feel free to disagree but with over 200 hours on this game and the forums, that has been my experience.
Also I'd like to say these advantages are slight and this isn't including multiple factors. Overall this game is decently balanced I'd say. 😅
This is entirely wrong. If you have a killer and 4 survivors at equal skill rate, the survivors will always. Between good looping, pallets and second chance perks it would be easy.

Survivor is not hard for me I'm good at it. But to get good it is hard. It's not just running in circles.
Bro, you presented the question and now you're getting defensive when people tell you it's easy. Like... what's the point of the thread then?

@ToxicMyers said:
Iron will still makes you quieter though. I'd rather have 50 percent less noise than 50 percent more noise
It doesn't work like that.
Iron Will makes survivors 100% quieter. Stridor makes them 150% louder... meaning that at Tier 3 Stridor still makes them 50% louder even with Iron Will.
-
That skin should have never been for Claudette in the first place. It's completely against her character. I think the devs version looks better.

Yeah but looping optimally is by far the best way to buy time and win games. Even against spirit if you guess right and avoid being injured optimal looping will win you the game.
Can you not loop optimally? The way you type that gives me reason to believe so.
Orion is literally one of the most unbias players on this forum and, to my knowledge, plays both sides.
Please keep trying to pick fights lol

I'm actually rank 1. I just played against someone in the forums who can confirm so I totally understand how the game works.
- If that's how your games go and you're taking 3 minutes to chase someone, I got some bad news for you. You might want to worry about your own lack of skill instead of worry about mine.
- The problem is that people think ALL survivors play like that, and they don't. Yall create scenarios of the most try hard thing you've seen and pretend all survivors play that way. They don't.
- Even when they do and they make a play like that, someone is going on a hook. I know how to spread out pressure and make sure I'm not recycling the same 2 people on and off hook.
- I'm just going to go back to point one and say learn how to end chases quicker. Then everything else you mentioned becomes irrelevant because the survivors won't be on the last 2 gens when you've only hooked one or two people
Just because you're rank 1 doesn't mean you're good or that you understand the game though.
This isn't an attack, but literally your only argument is "oh I'm red rank" it's like... great. I got to red rank my first couple weeks of playing.
Also, whether or not you want to admit it, there's survivor bias here. Anyone who plays against good teams at high ranks knows that DS itself isn't an issue, but the fact that it's abusable by nature; couple that with the other meta perks and you get rolled.

Iron Will is pretty amazing although I just rather run a perk to heal myself and not be injured at all but I'd choose that over DS.
And I forgot Spine Chill which is very useful against stealth killers
This response just kind of proves to me that you're not as good as you think.
Even a decent survivor can confidentlt stay injured.

I would bet my right arm that no perk on either side comes close to the frequency of use of BBQ. The aura read while seems minuscule to most people is huge amount of information for killers. Map awareness is key to guaranteeing a victory. Killer mains have no grounds to discuss why survivors pick the perks they do when they are stuck in a rut picking the same perks every match.
99% of people use BBQ for the points tho lol

Because Hag can't go for a massive slug, and when you hit someone with borrowed time, you're pretty much done. They sprint across the map and you can't do anything, no slug.
So the only thing you can do that doesn't make you lose the match is hitting the rescuer, maybe even with a good make your choice, and hook him. Problem: the guy saved now has 60 seconds to mend, heal, go straight to the hook, rescue while make your choice is on cooldown, and force you to slug him. And then he gets up with unbreakable 35% faster.
I uh... I think you're playing Hag wrong if you think like this.
-
The amount of people who didn't read the actual thread is astounding.
-
This has to be bait, right?

@Aven_Fallen said:
Havent you got the memo? Only Killers are allowed to run good Perks, as Survivor you will have to use Buckle Up and Deja-Vu.
Anyway, it sucks that this happened to you, but dont worry, most PC Killers are not like that.
Ah, the good old "us v. them" mentality - because it's DEFINITELY what side you play, not the kind of person you are.

@Crazewtboy said:
Gen times are fine where they are. The worst thing the devs could do right now on the survivor end is increase the gen times. Holding M1/R1/RB is already boring enough for 80 seconds. There is no need to make it even more boring. They either need to add in another objective, or dial down on the map size. On smaller maps the gen speed is fine because killers can pressure gens better. The Decisive and Unbreakable perk combo should be fixed and Decisive should deactivate upon getting in a locker. Aside from that it is fine where it is.
Disable it during endgame too and this is perfect.

Don't go down. EZ counter.

First it was constant threads about otz & the 17s gen and now it’s endless threads about 4 gens in 3 mins when quite clearly he played poorly.
Give it a rest guys....
In Otz defense, my man set one (1) trap and went immediately to the gen. That was still dirty.
-
Literally the polar opposite of Claudette. Yui or Meg maybe, but...

Do bones // loop. :)

Hell no.
Spirit is way too easy to play well imo. It's boring to play as and against.

Uh...yes it should. If every killer could easily stop gen progression then why even play other killers? They'd all be the same. Its not supposed to be easy. It's easier for some killers but it's still a task. Just like repairing the generators is a task.
Do you play red rank games? If you do, you'd know 90% of red rank killers have no issue stopping gen progression and applying immediate pressure on survivors. People wanting gens to take even longer will flat out make gens impossible to do against any experienced killers. ESPECIALLY on small maps.
The bias here seems strong.
-
Same reason survivors complain about slugging, "tunneling", NOED, etc.
-
And killers bring pop and noed and whatever else cause of gen rush.
Stop whining.
-
People do complain about BBQ. A lot.
But otherwise, yes, I would love to see Gearhead buffed.
-
This has been brought up multiple times before. Nobody seems to understanding that doing things like this would fundamentally change the game. You're pitching something for a completely different work.

Survivors when killers lose: apply more pressure
Survivors when killers slug/other: StAhp rUinIng mY FUN!

The devs really don't seem to care about doing that, though. Every time something has been brought up to give solos a little bit more of information that SWFs get for free, that never came to fruition. I think part of the problem is that the devs don't want to deal with the backlash.
Just look at the outrage that was caused by simply suggesting a totem counter. The issue is that in reality, most killers don't want to buff solos and killers accordingly. They want to nerf SWFs and buff killers.
Not true at all. Most good players, regardless of which side they play more, want to see the game balanced. Don't make villains out of one side.

@Science_Guy said:
The bias is dripping off this post.
Claiming that Survivors get strong perks all the time but no one ever uses them because "overshadowed" is one of the worst recurring arguments about this game. The perks suck. No one uses them because they suck. There's no special secret that Survivors are too stubborn to figure out. We perfectly understand how those perks can be used and overwhelmingly choose not to use them because they are objectively terrible compared to the meta.
Bar MoM, Survivors have gotten absolute garbage since David. The only truly interesting ones since then have been Inner Strength and Head-On (and Head-On is just a meme). Not one of the new survivor perks are strong.
The Survivor perks you call "strong" are terrible.
The Killer perks you downplay as simply being strong range from strong to busted.
Your bias is showing.
-
It'd be cool if he could make gens explode/regress with a direct bottle hit. Idk how easy that would be to implement or balance but ya know.
-
@Mert_MK said:
Yup. I expect the same.
Only killer mains that never play survivor will disagree here and say you're trolling. PH and DS are simply bs in a chase where you can easily down even the best survivors with not much effort due to lack of counterplay
Spirit too obviously but... yeah 8)
The only people who say this are bad survivors lol

People keep on complaining about these perks, so I figured I'll share how I deal with them.
But then I get smartass comments like the one from @handfulofrain trying to undermine me after I take actual time to write these.

The issue is that 99% of killers are automatically going to try harder against a SWF group BECAUSE of the SWAT teams that we've all dealt with in the past. Their attitude directly effects my mindset when I play against a team, especially one with 4 players.
-
No. Please no. Supernatural is the epitome of cringe, and it would completely kill whatever horror DbD has left.
Like what you want to like, but not everything needs to come to the game.
