The moment speed addons absolutely do not help you.
The reload speed addons outclass these so greatly its not even funny.
Thick Cork Stopper > Fingerless Parade Gloves >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> VHS Porn > Smelly Inner Soles
The reload time ones are definitely better, but green movement speed with yellow reload is good.
-
Trapper: Logwood dye needs to be changed. Tar bottle is perfect as is. Also, the coils and jaws should both be changed to be not useless.
Clown: Tattoo's middle finger is ok. Not great, not bad. Movement speed addons help tremendously with reloading in chase.

Candyman is a series with only 3 films released, the first film is acceptable, not good, not bad, just acceptable, 2 and 3 are AWFUL beyond words, Halloween Season of the Witch levels of bad, good acting by Tony Todd tho.
Im not against Candyman but its a bit of a stretch to call iconic such a small series, we are very close to enter the tacky, campy, very poorly done B-movie grounds, those films that are more funny than horror because how poorly done they are, what would be next?, Maniac Cop?.
Yes! And then we can have Bruce Campbell as 2 survivors!

You got the wrong Candyman there, TAG!

It will be perfect when they actually make it an anti-tunnel perk, i.e. no more survivors hopping in lockers, unhooking, or doing gens in my face because they know they have 60 seconds of immunity.
-
Had someone last night message me about how good they are because they managed to escape with 4 meta perks on Fractured Cowshed against a grey add-on Clown.
They spammed me with messages for about half an hour before I finally gave up and just blocked them. The messages mostly consisted of the typical "lmao ur so mad gg ez baby killer" and "you really thought you could camp me lol" (I only camped in EGC. I'm not an idiot.)
THAT'S toxic. Clicky clicky-s and the rest are just annoying.
-
These are really well thought out and explained ideas. Kudos, bro!

Umm no. If you can't a kill against your average solo que red ranks than thats on the killer.
Also I don't why you even bring this up as survivors literally have no defense against facecamping besides ds. If your teammates aren't using bt than you pretty much doomed.
Umm no. If you can't survive against yout average red ranks killer than that's on the survivor.
Also I don't know why you even bring this up as killers literally have no defense against looping besides moonwalking.
See how silly that sounds?
-
For one, trapping indoor maps is hard. You basically have to only trap pallets (unless you're someone like Otzdarva who knows ALL the good spots).
Otherwise, Corrupt Intervention is your best friend. Bring it and use that 2 minutes wisely.
Don't put traps all around the map. Pick an area with a lot of gens, trap it up good, and defend it. The only traps you should put away from your defense (assuming you don't have honing or diamond stone) are ones used in a chase. For example: trap the window if someone runs to shack, trap one side of a dropped pallet, etc.
Next, put traps in grass around loops instead of at the pallet itself, then chase the survivor from the opposite direction so they step in it.
I would also recommend you watch Otzdarva. I found him a while ago and I went from a garbage Trapper to actually maining and hitting rank 1 with him. Now I'm sitting there soundly.
P.S. Always bring a bag. Always. The other add-ons are up to you, but Tar Bottle is the best besides bags. Then setting speed. The rest are situational at best.
Uh... good luck! I'm out of tips from the top of my head lol

I kind of have two buffs for my boy Myers. The first is make the required stalk required to get into tier 2 smaller. And the second make it so Michael can 100% his different levels of Evil Within, and then at a button press activate it.
I always kind of thought it was a bit annoying that Oni could absorb blood and go straight to 100%, and hold it until he chose to activate it. Though Oni also lets a noise out when he has the power ready.
Also in the last game I played as Myers I went up to 75% while stalking someone and Evil Within 3 just activated and the bar jumped to 100% thanks to dedicated servers. Really frustrating.
110% with having the active ability button control when you go into t3.

Change the wax brick to be a green bag instead of a useless hunk of wax outclassed by an item that has its entire upside as just a side bonus
My thoughts for a green bag were
Increases trap carry capacity by 5
Start with no extra traps
Hmm.. I don't mind this, but I'm not sure how useful it would actually be. I think reversed it might be better - start with 5 traps, only able to carry 1 or 2.

No, I enjoy the event exclusive cosmetics. They are cosmetics afterwards and them being exclusive to events or specific time, makes them like a badge/trophy.
If anything, they can either release a modified legacy with different colour or do basically nothing.
Yes, I do own 3 full legacy sets (Trapper, Nea and Nurse), I grinded my ass to get them before the deadline.

Ok, i thought that crows would prevent you from hiding at one spot but instead to run around and hiding from the killer would not be since there is a chance to find you. I was goofing around with friend only to hide and run but was not sure about rules about that so wanted to chek it. Thanks :)
I mean, that's true but most survivors know to move (crouch) around and go in and out of lockers to prevent themselves from getting crows.

Really just hiding is that?
Yes. In that scenario the only way the killer can get out of the game is to DC.

Yes.

There's truth in what you said, people will always DC. My bad for misinterpreting it but I do believe if those problems were (mostly) solved it would relieve the issue. Not solve but def help.
Sorry for popping off there, reading stuff on this site puts me in a mood.
Hey, man, I know the feeling. These forums are... something.
But I'm glad we could be civil and have a good chat. :D

I'd like to see that.
You act like you don't believe him lol
95% of DS-es eaten are because of this (or something similar) or survivors being cocky because they know they have 60 seconds of invincibility.
-
Yes, but nothing cosmic/godly like Cthulhu or Dagon. Logically, they're eternal interdimensional beings who are most likely more powerful than the entity itself.
However, I can't remember who it was but someone on the forums recommended a Fishperson from the Innsmouth story and I think that would be awesome. They could maybe even do a Creature of the Black Lagoon legedary for him (in my dreams).

Please. If you’re cool with it then that’s awesome of you, but a coordinated swf can completely screw your game with the right map. As a trapper you should understand this. For the rest of us, say huntresses starting at a Hawkins or nurse’s looking at a Lery’s it’s disheartening and just one more extreme advantage over you.
True. All I'm saying is that people really like to overreact on the forums.

"Killer suggestions" lmao, I play both roles. Oh and good for you for being a rank 1 trapper. I've been Rank 1 both sides sides for three years but I don't bring it up because its irrelevant to everything. If you've played this game for more than 50hrs you would know that anyone can get to Red Ranks, there so many bad players up there that I mistake them for new players all the time.
Here's a suggestion from just a 'player': Fix the bugs, fix the maps that are still unbalanced and fix the busted Survivor/Killer perks. That's what most players would want right? A balanced game and a (mostly) bug free game. I think we all can agree on that. And if you don't want that then, I guess we'll just keep getting players like me who DC and the problem will never be solved and the rabbit hole of problems will continue downward.
Trust me, people who DC will always find an excuse for it. If it's not the perks it's the maps, if it's not the maps it's the hitboxes, if it's not the hitboxes it's the weather outside. Don't kid yourself.
Also, yes I do agree that all those things should be changed. My original comment was simply saying that people overreact like crazy, especially on these forums.

You should experience the horror of a strode key offering in a balanced landing swf match my friend. Or an offering for Ormond with the auras the way they are.
@[Deleted User] said:
They'll DC out of the match if they see the Mori or map offering.
Source: I DC against map offerings even if I missed the offerings screen and check via the pause menu. Flame me all you want but I don't like wasting my time playing against trash.
Only way to fix it is to hide all offerings but they'll probably never do that.
Responses like these are why nobody takes killers suggestions seriously. This is why evert killer suggestion comes from "entitled killer mains lol"
It's not that hard. Just play the game. This is from a rank 1 Trapper main.
-
My build for Trapper (my main) is Whispers, Corrupt, StBfL and Agitation and I do fine.
I get what you're saying though. I hope BHVR adds some worthwhile perks but after the MoM debacle I don't think we'll see them anytime soon.
-
People tend to forget how small of a company BHVR is in relation to others.
I know it's frustrating. But for real, they're doing OK for what they're working with.
-
Objectively, it's Clown. Then probably Wraith.

Well you can't have an Elder Being such as Cthuhlu, Hastur or Nyarlothotep as they are quite possibly more powerful than the Entity, but also extradimensional and therefore incomprehensible to humanity on a fundamental level.
I've said it before, but having an Insmoth fish-person would be actually fit rather well
I agree! Give us the fish!

Those nerfs can be called "needed" by you but survivor got nerfed way more often and also way more significant then killers, thats an undeniable fact. Sorry but denying that is just ignorant.
It goes from exhaustion status nerf to map nerfs in general over most items and addon nerfs, tons of perks got nerfed, genspeed is slower, they lower ammount of pallets multible times, stuff like bloodlust or entityblocker was definitly a big survivor nerf, the game is brighter in general now which has to be considered as a survivor nerf and so on. The list is really long, so long nobody would probably take the effort to even list them anymore.
On top of that i can not remember a single really significant survivor buff the last 2 years beside some trash perks are now mediocre or still bad, while killers received quiet a few very strong buffs (Freddy and Doctor are some good examples). And when devs released something that played in the favour of survivors (MoM for example) it was not lasting very long.
TLDR: The debate which side has the upper hand is still very relevant and probably will always be. A discussion about who got nerfed more is not - its by far the survivor role.
So you're just gonna ignore the vault buff from a couple months ago, huh? And the fact that most of those oh so terrible survivor nerfs were MUCH needed for balance? K den.
-
I stopped reading at "Demo is the worst killer in the game" lmao.
There are quite a few killers in far worse shape than him right now: Wraith, Clown, Legion, Piggy, and maybe even Trapper all things considered. I can't speak for new Bubba cause I haven't played him yet, but old Bubba is definitely on the list too.

I literally run BBQ on killers that do not benefit from the auras and have no way of getting there quickly, like Hag. Because as you say, bloodpoints.
25k becomes 50k, I have used BBQ to get majority of my killers to p3 and am glad its there because I have 1800 hours and still not everything p3ed.
Exactly. If you remove the bp benefits I'd rather use Thrilling or Whispers.
-
@stikyard said:
I'm baffled, if BBQ is so easily countered and doesn't disrupt the gameplay of every survivor, then why do I face it 85% of the time?
My loadout is typically... Dead Hard / Spine Chill / Lightweight / Borrowed time. If I have them.
Sometimes I try to run... Mettle of Man / Breakout / Dead Hard / Inner Strength. I usually don't get MoM to proc and I cheer for joy if Breakout actually helps!
Bloodpoints. Duh.

I mean I can easily. Stop by my stream sometime. I have done all of this and more many times and will continue to do so because these killers are simply not as bad as people make them out to be.
Pyramid Head, when doing his range attack, has such a big tell. You always know when he's going to do it and it's so incredibly easy to dodge. Add to that, it's so hard for him to turn while doing it. And if he's just trying to get you tormented, staying and watching him do it or simply not leaving while he does it just invites him to put you in a cage at best or Mori you at worst.
Deathslinger may not have a huge tell (his gun just comes up to ADS) but it's still very easy to dodge. Easier to dodge than hatches for sure. It's only a real problem when you're very close but at that point, youre already taking a hit one way or another.
Spirit is not a problem at all. She can still be looped. She can still lose you in a chase. You can still vault windows/ pallets and still stun her with a pallet or flashlight. This isn't a 50/50 gamble. This is fact. If she is "too strong" for you, maybe you need to work on your abilities and skills.
Spirit definitely is too strong. My first ever game with her resulted in my adept at rank 1.
I am also a killer main saying this.

No clown has counterplay pre dropping pallets sure its uninteractive for both sides but its counterplay.
Then... why not predrop the pallet vs. Pyramidhead or Deathslinger? MonkaHmm
-
I mean, it would be cool but it's near-impossible to do Cosmic Horror right in video games. Look at the Call of Cthulhu game. It was horrible.
Would it be cool? Yes. Would it work well? Probably not.
Also The Lighthouse is f***ing awesome.
-
He doesn't need a power rework, my guy, he just needs a hefty buff.
-
Your logic with PH and Slinger, by default, also means Clown has no counterplay. You realize this, right?
-
I don't know what's more humiliating for OP:
The fact that he posted this at all and it now trying to pass it off as a joke or how passive-aggressive he's being with his responses.
