The other perks aren't actively harming you for taking them.

Really don't see it happening, but that would be cool!

What would help players more is if they just showed numbers instead of vague, meaningless words.

Your phone freaked out and decided to say all that? Okay. Have fun.
It just sent the word "You" and nothing else, fixed it.

Then why did you say it in the first place? Seems like you don't have a good grasp of your emotions.
Phone freaked out.
You are starting to go off topic, careful.

The difference is this. Yes those survivor ones could be hard, but can be easily done as SWF.
- Its really easy as a SWF to do 4 generators. Also it was finish 4 generators not do a total of 4 generators
- I play quite a bit of trapper, I didn't have a problem with any of the trapper ones.
- And there wasn't a challenge that was get 6 pallet stuns... It was get 6 stuns. Which is easy with head on and pallets.
Yes all of these were hard, but something you could realistically get done within a few matches and most of them could be in your control. I will admit, the finish 4 generators one is a lot harder as a solo then it is as a SWF. But you can hit up the discord for SWF friends and know out most of those survivors ones fairly easily.

So spend 7 million to perk out plague to do one challenge. I have Brutal, Dark, Infictions, mindbreaker, predator, spies, whispers, agitation, dying light, furtive chase, devour, noed, make your choice, monstrous shrine, Pop, rancor, BBQ, corrupt, distressing, hang mans trick, insidious, knockout, play with your food.
Yeah, the strats I sent were assuming you had Plague maxed out and are trying to save bp.
For casual players / people who don't play Plague, this challenge is expecting way too much to go right.
-
You could try and cheese this.
- Equip Discordance + Tinkerer
- Use both Apple add-ons
- Sit near a fountain
- Use fountain when you think Tinkerer is about to proc then go to the gen
Alt.
- Discordance + Tinkerer
- Iridescent Seal, the one that gives corrupt when a gen is completed
- Go to gen when Tinkerer procs, wait for them to finish out of sight
You won't win the match with these strategies, but if you are at max bp and are trying to save for next chapter you could do this.
I agree though that this challenge is ridiculous.
-
I think they could be fixed very easily.
Lethal Pursuer
Add a 10% haste effect that lasts as long as the aura reading.
It still only works at the start of the match, and still serves the exact same purpose, just does it better.
Hysteria
Remove the cooldown.
It's too weak, too niche, and too restrictive to require a cooldown.
Eruption
Remove the cooldown.
The setup time required to get this perk to function is the cooldown time.

I love to see killer mains moaning that one of his perks are 1 time use. You now see what it's like to have a 1 time use perk. There is a bunch of these on survivor side and most of the time survivor has no control over the activation. Don't forget the aura read is guaranteed to give you a "huge" benefit. No input required, just be in existence! The perk needs nerfing, 7 seconds is too long.
You're not putting in as much effort as you used to.
Is everything alright?
-
They already need to be buffed, but I like the ideas behind them.
-
Who would have thought adding a barely noticeable cosmetic would give the mods this much work?

Really? I thought the more a survivor stays Contaminated, the more the tentacle can be used on them
You can only gain Mutation from survivors that are not Contaminated.
If the survivors never use vaccines, you need to get Mutation from killing zombies, which could take an excessive amount of time.
-
Broken Recovery Coin is a bad add-on.
-
Smash Hit
I like to go to Home Depot and hit people with wood
-
Whispers and M&A aren't really necessary, they are used for efficient crouching. Crouching as pig lowers your movement speed to 90%, so these help you know when to crouch at the perfect time.
If you are having trouble with generators, feel free to replace W + M&A with 2 slowdown perks.
Thanataphobia is actually pretty good on her. Survivors with hats on don't have time to heal if their trap is active.
-
You don't need a code.
-
I see people say this all the time, but I have never seen Blight rated outside of S or A.
-
100% < 50%??????????
Also Stridor isn't the problem, Spirit is literally the only killer in the entire game that uses the perk. Removing Stridor wouldn't fix anything.

Doesn't fire up go up to 25%, 5token x 5 gens?
Fire Up right now is 3/3.5/4% for each gen completed. This means max level Fire Up gives you
- 4%
- 8%
- 12%
- 16%
- 20%
-
DS should work on both hooks.
-
The point of the perk is to help you turn the game around as the survivors complete their objectives.
I like the idea, but its effect only just becomes useful when every generator is repaired. Fire Up only reaches 20% pallet breaking speed once every gen is done, Brutal Strength has 20% all game.
I think it should work the same, but just get a crazy buff. Like going from 3/3.5/4% to 4/5/6% so it surpasses Brutal Strength late-game instead of just matching it.
-
I had an idea for a survivor perk that makes you play in first person for some kind of benefit.
First Person
You lose awareness of your surroundings and focus more on what is happening in front of you.
Third person camera is replaced with first person. Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 3/6/9%.
Yes, it's just Resilience with a different drawback.
-
Legion is one of my favorite killers at the moment, this is what I have been using:
- BBQ & Chili
- Thanataphobia
- Surge
- Infectious Fright
I use BBQ on every killer and WGLF on every survivor because the grind in this game is horrendous, but the aura reading can let you know which gens are being worked on.
Thana, Surge, and Infectious Fright all serve the same general purpose; punish survivors for staying injured.
If the survivors stay injured all game, they repair generators 20% slower. If they do decide to start group healing, you can instantly undo it with Feral Frenzy and also make them waste time mending.
The small amount of progress they do make can then be regressed by Surge. I prefer Surge because you don't need to waste time kicking generators (like PGTW) and its effects can't be cleansed (like Ruin).
Infectious Fright is a good perk on all killers, but it works best on killers who can one-shot survivors to snowball pressure. If the survivors refuse to heal and only focus gens, Legion becomes exactly that. IF is amazing if you are ever in a tight spot and need some emergency pressure.
Legion isn't an add-on dependent killer so I just throw on whatever. Like right now I have 2 common add-ons, the smiley face pin that somehow makes people blind and the piece of paper that somehow gives you more endurance.

Not at all. A lot of people are just bad players. Rather they like to admit it or not

is there other substitutes, i was thinking of whispers nurses calling or bitter murmur will it be good cuz i dont own all dlc and i think these perks are also pretty good
If you're not already using it, Rancor isn't that bad of an information perk. It gives you the locations of every survivor on the map when a generator is done.

I'm convinced something about dbd brings out the worst in people. I play in a swf and they can be a toxic at times. I don't agree with it and I hate being toxic. If everyone is OK I leave immediately and don't join in on the toxic behavior. But outside the game they are kind and nice people who have been good friends with me. I love them. But I'm always asking what about dbd brings out the worst in them.
I've seen something like this before, but I never really thought about it.
When I finally bought Bubba I played only him all day (this was before the rework) and I was doing terribly. One of the last games I decided to play was against a 4 man SFW that wasn't BMing or anything, except for one of them. After the match during post-game chat he was even talking trash. I told them about his behavior during the match and all of them began apologizing and saying that "he is a really nice guy irl, he's not normally like this".
Maybe this game is just cursed.

Myers is the final Killer in the game with incorrect add-on rarity distribution (3 common, 6 uncommon).
Also, I believe he has some of the worst add-ons in the game.
- 5 hair add-ons that all do roughly the same thing (increase stalk time, increase Tier 3 duration), only 2 of them are worth using.
- The add-ons that increase movement speed while stalking are wasted slots.
- The Glass Fragment add-on that gives aura reading only at Tier 1, which means it becomes useless ~30 seconds into a match.
- Vanity Mirror.
- Tombstone Piece is just straight up broken.
- Boyfriend's Memo is only used with Scratched Mirror, is useless otherwise.
The only Killer that really beats Myers is Ghostface, because Ghostface only has 3 add-ons worth using.

Unhooks follow a binomial distribution. With the base chance and 3 attempts, there's an 11.5% chance of self-unhooking. With the +7% from the offering, it's 29.5%.
You just proved my point about why the numbers are worthless. People simply do not understand the math.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2175310#Comment_2175310
even if i didn't know the math, which like. isn't hard to do because of calculators
The calculations are not the problem, it's the (often incorrect) way in which people do them.
I love how you just assume that everyone who plays this game is so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to see numbers.
-
Wraith has trouble getting sneak attacks because his bell gives away his exact location.
Bone Clapper basekit would be too strong, so I think his bell sounds should have no direction but still have distance. Survivors would still know the Wraith is after them, but won't know where he is coming from.
-
Every killer in the game could chase you for 80 seconds if they wanted to. Removing illusion Doctors, or even Madness, won't do anything.
-
@moraleking said:
Right; survivors now get to reward camping, tunneling, underperforming killers who don’t give survivors the slightest chance, by being forced to stay in the game. But survivors are the “salty” ones who get punished by the devs for wanting to leave and finding a game they can actually participate in.
When you suicide, you are punishing the other 3 survivors who just want to play the game.

"...In 3 months!"

The 90 seconds it had in the PTB was too long, the 45 seconds it has now is too short.
45 / 60 / 75 seconds would be perfect.

@DeRumpRanger said:
Do you know what a soundscape is? Bc that isn't the word you wanted to use
He meant that. This game is REALLY busted.
Survivors make more sounds then just grunts of pain, what Iron Will is supposed to cover up. Survivors also breathe, and they have footsteps. Iron will doesn't just remove grunts of pain, it removes all of these sounds. So an injured Survivor with Iron Will is actually more stealthy then a healthy Survivor.
The reason why every Spirit uses Stridor is because they are forced to. It's a band-aid.

What's wrong with what I'm trying to do anyways?
Dude. You're being baited by them right now.
Look at the Joined date of that person. (April 28th)
-
If you allow that Survivor to keep Victor, and the 2nd Survivor that you are chasing is a looping god, then you are essentially just playing the game as a Killer with no power. Even if it's just 2 Survivors working on the gens, they can still potentially finish all of them before you catch that 2nd Survivor.
Solo Survivors trying to do this are making a huge mistake. A well coordinated 4 man SWF could potentially make this work, though.
-
Every killer can camp basement, it's not bubba exclusive.
But yeah Insidious needs to go.
-
If your orgies are filled with pain and fear there might be a problem.

The system cannot tell whether you're dying on the hook or in the middle of the animation - it can only tell that you're disconnecting from the match. And I don't see any reason to change this.
The animation takes a few seconds and pretty sure that people would then start to abuse the system with an attempt to depip etc. So I definitely don't see anything changing on the DC penalty system any time soon.
It could just check when the death animation begins, and not when it ends.

I don’t cry. If the killer tunneled Someone I kill myself at first hook and find a new match
That's not doing anything to hurt the killer, though. You are just ruining the game for your teammates, even worse then the tunneling killer is.
-
The only time Realm Offerings are ever used is to provide a massive unfair advantage, like the Strode Realty Key to go to Haddnofun.
-
They both don't get used.
The first add-on gets used, then tells the game that the med-kit and its add-ons need to be removed. The second add-on does not have its effects triggered due to the fact that it no longer exists.

why should it have to be fun. there perks on each side, that aren't fun
The solution to unfun perks existing isn't to add more of them.
