No 'Both' option? That's the one I chose!

It's not about getting the actual refund. It's simply just sending a message. You either get a refund for all the content you bought or you keep the game and uninstall it while watching the storm brew as Steam is notified of the practices. If you get a refund, that's even more of a bonus.
I sent a refund. Not sure if anything will come from it, but it's done.

Hey look everyone, another code!

Just changed my Steam review to negative and am permanently uninstalling the game.
DbD was not worth the time and money I sank into it, and I am extremely disappointed.

Ghost face was more of a buff than a nerf. They just took what 6-8 seconds out of the add ons and just made them base kit so your less reliant on those add ons.
His other add-ons are still not worth using, so everyone will still use Chewed Pen and Address Book. But now after the changes, the lowest cooldown possible went from 16 seconds to 17 seconds, which is a slight nerf.

what i find funny is they buffed judiths tombstone so you only get the slowdown in tier 3
it's weird how people always complain that tombstone is op so the devs buffed it?

No one complains about tombstone, actually. The problem is tombstone piece. It also lets you kill a survivor very early, but the requirements are much smaller.

so you’re saying circle of healing is potential counterplay to the most boring strategy in the game?
I'm saying this is absolutely nothing like Inner Strength.

if your boon is miles away from the generators the Killer wants to protect. you’re wasting an awful lot of time to walk to it every time to heal
In a war of attrition, the killer will lose if the survivors have infinite healing.
If you repair a gen 10%, it takes 40 seconds for it to regress after being kicked. That's enough time to run to circle of healing, heal for 16 seconds, then go back to the gen and stop regression.
If multiple survivors are still alive, the killer will lose eventually. If the killer goes to cleanse the totem, the other survivors are now free to pressure gens while the killer wastes time.

Blessing takes 16 seconds, healing takes 16 seconds. On top of the time to find the totem. The perk only becomes high value if it stands for more than one heal or if teammates also use it.
If you’re getting a single heal and its getting snuffed, its worse than self-care or inner strength. So its a bit risky
If the killer wastes time going to the opposite side of the map to find and snuff a totem, he's not pressuring gens.
-
Like Inner Strength, it also gives infinite self-care and 100% healing to all survivors in a small area around it, and can be used an infinite amount of times as long as the Totem stands.

I dont have these perks on the killer im currently practicing 😅
You can't really counter BNP without regression perks or CI, so good luck I guess.
-
Corrupt Intervention to stop them from using BNP on the first gens they see, Hex: Ruin to force them off gens and regress any progress the BNPs make. May need Hex: Undying to protect the Ruin.

It's not an aura perk, but it's definitely helpful. You are basically saying that seeing more of your surroundings isn't helpful, which makes zero sense.
You seem to be directly opposed to Killers getting a higher FoV. Can you explain why?
-
Instructions used to increase gen repair efficiency, like a weaker Streetwise.
Was much better.
-
I would be fine with Survivors also getting an FoV slider, if that meant Killers getting one.
Dead by Daylight is one of the very few games I know of that don't have a FoV slider.

They don't. I played comp killer/survivor for close to two years. The comms you hear from most SWFs on streams are borderline useless. They aren't actually communicating anything most of the time. Good comms take time and practice and were a thing we had to constantly work on and talk about.
They don't need to be extremely specific exact callouts with the killers exact coordinates.
Just something simple like "killers chasing me at shack" tells all 3 other survivors that they are completely safe to do gens and what direction the killer will come from if they break chase. Survivors were not meant to have this much information.
-
His lullaby and flickering are completely separate from his terror radius, there are no interactions whatsoever.

Partial Auric Cells refund, charms and bloodpoints considering that the tomes are connected to the rift, so in completing the rift you are incidentally completing the tome which gives you bloodpoints.
Charms are cosmetic and you don't need to pay to access the bloodpoints. So aside from cosmetics, you get back a small amount of Auric Cells.
For some one like OP that cares so much about cosmetics to the point of getting angry, I can understand why they would think paying for the rift isn't worth it.
-
@SlothGirly said:

Uhm, I feel like that is some serious gatekeeping mentality, You realise that the rift isn't all about the cosmetics? You get a ton of other goodies along with it and on top of that it's a huge discounted price compared to the stuff you can buy in store on their own. If it angers you over the fact some people can buy cosmetics at a much higher price than you payed for out of some sense of being a veteran, than I gotta say. That is hella elitist.
What goodies are there other then cosmetics?

Oh very smart I love the way you broke it down. Are you a legion main? Got any other killers you could break down in a similar fashion? Any and all would be great! Again thanks for your time!
@WTBacon or do you mostly play Legion
Sorry for the late reply, yeah I mostly play Legion. I think Legion is severely underrated. Keeping survivors injured the entire game is essentially the same thing as having them permanently Exposed. They also have Feral Frenzy, which causes slowdown while also being a good tracking tool.
I also found that this is a good Killer for people who have trouble with the "sunk cost fallacy". By this I mean Killers that chase a really good Survivor for 5 entire gens, because they feel that if they don't catch them then all of the time that they put into chasing them will be wasted. If you find some one that seems impossible to catch you can just stab to find some one else, which also forces that good Survivor to mend and waste a little bit of their time.

Why though? Delivering pain as soon as possible, before people spread around the map is a gamebreaker.
This is less about Lethal Pursuer, and more about Legion. I love Lethal Pursuer a lot, I use it on literally every killer except for Legion and Doctor. Their powers are very efficient when it comes to finding Survivors, so tracking perks are unnecessary on them.
-
Imagine buying a game then using only 50% of the content.
-
BBQ is really just for the bloodpoints, but a few select killers can use the information to good effect.
I'm not bringing up the usual Blight, Nurse, etc., but Legion.
BBQ has the downside of only revealing the auras of survivors outside of 40 meters, Legion in Feral Frenzy gives Killer Instinct for survivors in your Terror Radius +8 (within 40 meters).
Hooking a survivor and then stabbing some one in FF has the potential to give you the locations of all survivors on the map. Because of this, I like to run chase oriented builds.
- BBQ
- Infectious Fright
- Surge (Jolt)
- Thanataphobia
BBQ shows you survivors outside of 40 meters, Feral Frenzy shows you survivors within 40. Infectious Fright is there to replace FF if all the survivors choose to stay injured. The 2 next perks, Surge and Thanataphobia, further punish survivors for staying injured rather then healing.
I actually recommend against using Lethal Pursuer on Legion. His power is literally just to find people, so Lethal Pursuer is a waste of a perk slot.

Does your build change with the new circle of healing boon? I've had your build saved for awhile now and I was wondering about it just now getting around to asking lol. I imagine u change self care for it but idk you may keep it the same!
Anywhere I can msg u about builds on like discord or something? I'd like to ask for some killer builds too without filling the forums with it lol
If Circle of Healing comes to live the way it is now in the PTB, self-care is being replaced immediately. I don't care if it is less time efficient, I play for bloodpoints.
You can just make a discussion for builds and @ me if you don't want to spam this one.

I was about to vote "too strong" because of Trickster, but overall this is actually a good buff.

Killers currently have a 62.5% win rate. And that includes SWF.
What is a "win" though?
-
Thanataphobia
No cooldown, no weird restrictions, works on special attacks, and it just works.
I know it isn't powerful, but it feels reliable. I run it on every killer.

ADS Slinger is a thing so speed is not an issue for Slinger. Slinger can get shots in before they reach the pallet. Nemesis has a secondary power? You mean those 2 things that get stuck everywhere? That's a secondary power? RNG is the secondary power you want for a killer? Deep Wounds at least forces you to Mend, meanwhile Contaminated does nothing for Nemesis.
Nemesis better than "Nerfed" Slinger? What add-on combos does Nemesis have? Cause i'm already counting 6 combos in my head for Slinger and all i can think off for Nemesis is i gotta tier up fast to get any use out of my Tickling Feather.
Btw Nemesis Tickling Feather only works after Survivors are Contaminated. That M2 down potential means 3 hits per hook. Slinger with 2 shots has a hook. And can even deny an unhook from a distance greater than Nemesis can.
Stop trying, Nemesis is a mix of mechanics from other killers and he doesn't do any of them better than the killers that he is borrowing from. Slinger reels Survivors in for the hit while Nemesis gives Survivors a speed boost with his Tickling Feather.
You REALLY love the slinger nerf, don't you?

Black Box
- Press the Active Ability button to place Dream Pallets.
- Increases amount of Dream Tokens to 10.
- Disables Dream Projection.
Replacing his teleport ability with Dream Pallets would trade his map pressure for chase potential.
While you could just use this to get more Snares, that's not worth the downside of losing your Projection, so you would need to use Pallets and Snares together to make this worth it.
-
I understand the logic behind nerfing gen regression perks, but the specific changes you mentioned are all awful.

Why upset? Tunnel and face camp key user or another player in the lobby, i don't think much will change. Despite i rly enjoy interesting games but when it comes to swf teams and key abusers game is not fun at all so i either stay afk and let them go, or tunnel one guys away.
Some one hasn't seen the changes.
-
I can't believe they would do something like this!
Now there's going to be 4 No Mithers in every match... 🙄
-
Excited, but worried.
The last add-on changes they've done didn't go too well. (Freddy rope/chains, Hillbilly)
-
It's easier to pay for a nonfunctional anti-cheat and call it a day.

@Woodywool said:
I'm starting to notice that quite a lot of people are using hacks so sneaky...
For example, I had a match when in the middle of the match 1 generator was done w/t sound notification. It only happens when hacker complete a gen or at the beginning of the game if 4 survs repaired 1 generator in the first 30 seconds of the game.
Another situation, I saw on the stream that survivor failed a gen's skillcheck, after it in the next 2 seconds streamer that I watched teleports (he was playing as Nurse) to him but he managed to complete a gen. I think it's impossible to repair the gen that was blown up recently in the short period of time.
Here the clip about it:
I checked in the end game lobby that nobody hadn't Red Herring.
If no one had Red Herring, that was 100% a cheater.
Not only does failing a skill check make the gen lose 10% progress, but you can't repair for a short time after.
-
It wasn't just a 50/50 of getting hit as survivor, it was also a 50/50 of hitting as killer because Spirit can't see #########.
By giving directional audio and dust that let's you know the exact position of Spirit, they have essentially made it so that you can see her without her being able to see you.
This change is completely survivor sided, as they don't address the killer's side of the 50/50.
-
None of what you just put is true, especially the part about easy anti-cheat actually doing something.
-
@latinfla4 said:
Doing gens isnt fun🙁 the fun part is looping...faster gens means we waste less time doing the boring hold m1 and get straight to the chases😎
As soon as gens are done, Survivors leave.
There's no chases, unless you count staying in the exit gate to tbag.
-
Corrupt Intervention
Your prayers invoke a dark power that meddles with the Survivors' chances of survival.
At the start of the Trial, the 3 Generators and 3 totems located farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 80/100/120 seconds.
-
The sound of Freddy's finger claws after hitting a survivor is just too good.
-
What really helps me, is using the several minutes it takes to find a lobby to watch funny meme videos.
If you go into the match already laughing and smiling, it's a lot harder to get angry at what happens in-game.
-
A combination of old and new Freddy would be cool.
CTRL for gen teleport, RMB to put survivors to sleep.
Keep alarm clocks so waking up against him isn't as frustrating for new players, but remove the 30 second sleep immunity.
-
I've been running it with Thanataphobia and Agitation.
Thanataphobia means that if they waste time healing to get rid of the 5% slowdown, the healed survivor now gets 9% slowdown. If you then avoid hurting this survivor again, they recieve 5% slowdown per hurt teammate on top of the 9%.
Agitation guarantees you can get your survivors to scourge hooks.
-
The build I'm using right now.
- WGLF
- Self Care
- Botany Knowledge
- Desperate Measures
Why I love this:
- Take a hit for some one for free stack, heal very quickly for Survival BP.
- Very fast pickup of slugs because of 3 healing perks.
- Botany Knowledge combined with Desperate Measures allows you to heal teammates very quickly, especially when multiple people are hurt.

So according to the ingame description of Elodie's perk - 'Deception' says it only hides your scratch marks
However, according to the DBD wiki/some posts I've seen on reddit people say it also hides your pools of blood as well.
I was wondering if anyone knows this for sure?
Deception was changed to also hide blood.
If the in-game description doesn't say this, BHVR must have forgotten to update it.

Kinda have to agree about MYC. It's not that uncommon for me to see people who run MYC go straight back to hooks mostly as Nurse/Spirit or Wraith with Windstorm to get another easy down. You're not able to hide most of the time because they like to stay just in range for MYC to proc and immadiately return. I don't really think that it's problematic but a playstyle that's extremely boring to go against.
Well... Yeah?
Of course they are going to back to the hook? MYC activates when some one is unhooked.
I really don't understand the problem.
-
Franklin's Demise makes survivors drop their currently held item, the Lament Configuration just happens to be an item. Then, being in range of the Lament Configuration while it's on the ground causes Pinhead to pick it up automatically.
This isn't an interaction with his power, just a happy accident.
-
I haven't tried this yet, but this is what I'm thinking of trying next. (By next I mean, when the bloodweb gives me my damn perks)
Perks
- Hoarder
- Franklin's
- Agitation
Add-ons
Liquefied Gore / Larry's Remains
When the survivors notice you have Hoarder + Franklin's, they start to play it safe and only solve the box when you down or pick up a survivor. Agitation combined with the add-ons that slow down solving speed should give you enough time to hook then teleport.

Blight is easily one of the most popular killers right now. I see him more often then Pinhead, who just recently came out.

There are no inherently useless perks in this game there are just perks that do a lot or too much even. The 'weaker' perks usually need to be used in a combo with other stuff. Boil over can be used with flip flop so that you can edge out that last 25% if they slug you a bit etc.
But why combo weak perks when you can just bring 4 strong perks that are guaranteed to work?
