More killers thinking that hexes should only be positives, if you don't like losing perks, don't use them.

More "but my totem" yes, it's risk vs reward. Hopefully they make hexes more viable by making totems more stealthier, but stop trying to make hexes into reward + reward.

Could you name me some survivor "risk vs reward" or "high risk, high reward" perks?
Because killers can´t really destroy survivor perks.
Unlike survivors, which just have to hold m1 to remove a perk.

  • Can we just turn hex perks into normal perks, please?
They are not really that strong.

    1. Being Hookswarmed is now punishable. FOR THE KILLER. How is it that i risk my pip when survivors are circling around the hooked survivor like flies to a turd? Why do i have to let them get away with it?

Remove the chaser penalty or introduce a punishment for staying to close to a hooked survivor as a survivor.

lol Then nerf/remove Barbeque & Chili. This is literally why people run towards the hook, so they're inside the deadzone for it.

Oh yes, nerf BBQ. The number 1 perk that reduces camping.
I mean, what could possibly go wrong...
  • I wasn't expecting a Freddy buff this mid chapter. The devs had already mentioned before that they need more time for it. As far buffs for the killers are concerned, the healing time nerf is a buff for all the anti-heal killer perks. Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher are all insanely buffed now. It'll take upto 120 seconds to self care, if all these perks are used.
No survivor with 2 working brain cells will self heal in the terror radius of the killer. So coulrophobia would never apply.

Btw, I would like a buff for coulrophobia. Make it's effect map wide like thanatophobia. Which also needs a buff on its percentage.

Well at least they nerfed hook distance, buffed sabotage, and basically removed slugging.
This will be so much fun!
    /S

they changed hook distances so you wouldn't get gaps in the map that had none making it nearly impossible to hook, but I guess you'd rather have areas on the map that have no hooks so you can have multiple hooks needlessly close together.

buffed sabotage, I don't like this change honestly, we'll see how it plays out but I don't often see sabo in game any more so making it a little more relevant might be fun.

basically removed slugging, wat? It takes longer to heal on the floor now, except you can heal a little more, which doesn't at all prevent slugging?

Hook distance: survivors have to sabotage lesser hooks in order to create hook less areas on the map.

Sabotage: toolboxes will be more efficient, even without the perk.

Slugging: if there are no hooks left, the killer will be forced to slug. Unbreakable will be new meta. Because it increases the heal time while slugged. Other survivors don't have to stay a few seconds to heal, they can do a "drive by ".

Hail the devs for the great idea to make queue time insane for beginner players. Who thougth again that this would be a great idea?

I think it was a good idea. Since I proposed something like that. But I also proposed that there should be a barrier, where people could decide to be matched with the normal pool or stay on the easier noob ranks.
  • I don´t understand why his chainsaw works this way. He even can cancel his chainsaw by pressing m1. Why on earth would it reset the charge if you release the button to early?
This also makes all charge addons useless, since the muscle memory will ruin everything.

  • Prestige does nothing apart from giving you bloody skins.

  • To use Insidious effectivly, Beast of Prey would have to be changed to always active.
But as is right now? It´s only for meme games and some basement plays.

The problem of Insidious is simply, that the killer is under constant time pressure. He can´t waste time to stand still, while the survivors complete gens left and right.
Maybe if they take the initiative away from the survivors and give it to the killer (like the horror movies). Maybe then the killer could afford to play more relaxed.

    Meh...

When you mock deranking killers, but play SWF with noob ranked survivors to get matched against low rank killers.

I play with anyone that joins, that’s the fun thing, I could have someone join who’s rank I’ve never seen before, but obviously intentionally going against lower ranked survivors Is exactly the same as not knowing which ranked killer you will go against.

if you can’t see the difference between intentional and accidental then you don’t really have a case tbh.

ive had a team of three green ranks going against rank one killers, ive had it all. I don’t specificslly target any rank and I don’t specifically ask certain ranks to join.

But hey, it’s you and you just like arguing.

You don´t have to justify yourself for playing with randoms, which happen to be at a lower rank than yourself. But don´t try to mock others for doing basically the same thing, with switched roles.

Another thing I think is hilarious is they are bitching about getting penalized for the chaser emblem but they think survivors just swarm the hook without punishment when in all actuality your benevolent emblem suffers if you hook farm and more than likely it’s more than one of you getting injured/downed and no one gets gens done if they are swarming so in a sense its emblem for emblem, an eye for an eye on this situation, both are punished equally. Let’s not pretend like hook swarming happens on every single hook.

Only suffers if you don´t equip BT.

No, i'm not. I've played this game for a long time so I've prestiged all surs and some killers to P3-50 with some full of perks. When reach the BP cap (1M), I don't have other better way than "purchase" item and add-on in most cases I never use it.

Maybe, just maybe, the killer camps, because he can´t see anyone with BBQ? Thus he assumes that the survivors are nearby?

  • I actually agree with the OP. So you get D-striked once in a game. What exactly keeps you from going after the survivor and downing him again?
I feel complaining about DS is the same hapless thing as saying NOED is a crutch perk and it should not exist. There are multiple ways to counter both of these. None of them guarantees a free kill/free escape. Plus, obviously, killers need tools against survivors and survivors need tools against killers.
If you're silly enough not to expect it, then they look oooooh so broken, but with the proper play, they make little difference.
Of course, it's easier to demand nerfs/buffs instead of adapting.

NOED can be removed before it even activates.
DS has no counter. 1 DS is not the problem. But when 3 or 4 survivors use DS, then that's a game over for the killer.

Btw. NOED only halves the hits needed to down a survivor. Killer has to find and hit survivors first.
DS rewards survivors for getting downed with a free escape.

  • Trapper still needs some QoL changes.
One being, that he could get his traps from a locker. Or that you can rearm them on the ground.

I like how people assume review bombs meant anything. Like SMH do you guys even know how game dev works? Making knee jerk reactions like that is what destroys a game. Is it really that hard to believe that maybe, the devs decided to change something people also complained about?

This is also why game devs don't like to talk about stuff they are doing with the game behind closed doors. They make a promise, plans fall through, now they look like liars. It's why they keep their mouth shut on everything and instead drop surprise changes. They didn't like the changes to DS, so it's not happening. Yes it was a mistake to make the promise, but would you rather they break the game now and scramble to fix it later, or that we just wait for things to be done right?

Freddy got nerfed 1 week after release, because low rank survivors review bombed the game.
I´d say it´s pretty save to say, that they are scared of review bombs.

So, looking forward to my first DBD event.

Are you playing survivor or killer?

I only have like 16 hours in the game right now, so a mixture of both so I can effectively learn the game. I do, however, eventually plan to main Killer.

I strongly recommend you to finish the killer objective (if there is one) first. Or to completely skip on playing killer during a event. Because playing killer during a event can be very frustrating.

  • We need different clients or installation directions for the normal game and the PTB. So we don't have to patch every time we want to switch between the two.
  • Are there any plans on reworking the bonus Bloodpoint perks/addons?
Right now, We´re gonna live forever and BBQ give the points after the match.
But Distressing, Thrill of the Hunt, No one left behind, and the addons for Trapper, Hillbilly, Wraith and Leatherface give the points during the match.

Which results in weird combinations like Distressing + "the beast" on Wraith gives 2.200 bloodpoints in deviousness per hit. Meaning 4 hits = max points.

There are times when you've no idea where to go. No missed skill checks, no scratch marks, no crows flying away, no locker sounds, no audio notifications, no repaired generators, nothing. BBQ gives Killers an idea of where to go next when all else fails, and provides an incentive (BP) to hook different Survivors.

Just check gens like before. You can't seriously say you can't find survivors if you don't have BBQ, c'mon.

I honestly wish, the devs would remove BBQ for a month. Just so survivors get what they always ask for. Then they can enjoy the result of no incentives for killers to leave the hook.

God knows that if BBQ ever does get removed, my Leatherface is setting up a nice campfire next to the hooked survivor.

Mine too, i would write a macro, so every survivor gets a message after the match. Something like: "this camp was sponsored by the BBQ nerf/removal. I hope you enjoyed my pressence on the hook"

On wraith, distressing is not the best choice, while on a trapper for example that perk can do wonders in terms of points. Or Thrill on nurse since she has trouble getting points there because her chases are that short.
Some killers have a harder time getting points in specific categories than others.
Survivors for example have a hard time getting points in Survival. Boldness is full after one or two chases for example.

Bloodpoint perks CAN give you more points, they don't have to. Like Doc with distressing, since you would max out on deviousness most of the times anyway.
Why not give Players at least the opportunity to rack up points faster while the risk of the perk actually being useless is present. And by giving bloodpoint bonuses to weak perks, they would maybe see some play and MAYBE shift the meta a little bit. I don't think it would hurt the game, so why not try it?

Distressing on Wraith can be a good choice, if you equip the addon that lets you have a terror radius, even when cloaked.

  • Shouldn´t the survivor emblem suffer from running around the hook?
I mean... is the killer supposed to ignore survivors near the hook?

  • Most of the bloodpoint perks (and addons), with the exception of WGLF and BBQ, are worthless.
Simply because they apply the bonus points during the match, instead of after the match.

For example, i can play the Wraith, equip Distressing and the addon that gives me 100% bonus points to Deviousness actions. Result: 2.200 points per hit in the Deviousness category alone.
4 hits = maxed points. Has no one noticed this?
    That´s completely worthless.

    What is MLGA?

It started out as a very useful tool to check the ping in a match before the devs added that feature into the base game. During that time, it was whitelisted by the devs.

It quickly devolved into a method of blocking players and learning the identity of killers before the match started. It was then un-whitelisted.

Ironic because killers can already do this by default. As if being able to check survivor steam profiles adds anything positive to the game.

That´s no the same, and you know it.

MLGA put killers on a black list, for playing as Freddy and other bullshit reasons.

What's stopping killers from manually leaving games with survivors for bullshit reasons?

You have not learned anything from the past, have you?
Survivors shared the MLGA lists where killers names were black listed because they played Freddy, used NOED, killer had skill or any other ridiculous excuse. Then those very people spend their time dodging killers. Which led to extreme lobby queues for both sides. This was only caused by survivors dodging. Not by killers dodging. You want to be able to see killers before the match. What makes you think that this time it would be any different?

Survivors got WGLF nerfed, because they hook farmed their teammates.
Survivors prevented the introduction of camp save hooks, by abusing the mechanic.
Yet you behave like that was the work of the killers.

I guarantee you, if survivors can see the name of the killer, the lobby queue times will skyrocket again, because people just don´t know how to behave.
