More killers thinking that hexes should only be positives, if you don't like losing perks, don't use them.
More "but my totem" yes, it's risk vs reward. Hopefully they make hexes more viable by making totems more stealthier, but stop trying to make hexes into reward + reward.
While all the strong survivor perks are just reward with no risk. I got it
The devs once thought about a perk named "fools gold" or something like this. Which basically was a hex totem that uppon cleansing would remove a random perk from the survivor. They really should introduce this perk. Remove a random perk from all 4 survivors.

You can play matches with 250 ping and even beyond. Up until 250 it still plays smooth. Beyond it gets noticeable when there are spikes.Nerex7 said:There are a lot of problems with the match making these days.
Today, surprisingly, I had instant lobbies. But for what price? I'm living in EU West and most of the people I got into my lobby were either japanese or american, which means their pings were beyond the 250s which is unplayable. So I had to dodge and re-open. I actually gave up after the fifth lobby of only red pings.
Edit: And yes. I was playing killer. In these 5 lobbies, there were actually 20 red pings in total.
I sometimes play at unusual hours and get players from all around the world into my lobby. For example, I once had people from NA, Russia, Thailand and Japan in the same lobby. Everyone clicked ready. Wasn't as bad as I expected. -
Yes, they have to change the swf matchmaking. Since survivors abuse it to get easier killers. They should be matched with the highest rank. Not the lowest of the group.Warlock_2020 said:@Tsulan said:

The devs created the noob ranks to make it a save place for new players. So veterans can´t depip and bully or stomp them. But in doing this, they messed up the matchmaking for the noob ranks, which results in extremely long queues like yours.Unfortunately, survivors have found a way to do just this. They just join an SWF with their rank 20 friend and torture low rank killers. Been seeing a lot of my rank 11-14 games filled with multiple rank 2-6 players in each. My wife gave a stab at playing killer at rank 20 and faced 2 rank 6s in her group with 2 rank 20s.

Hardcore mode would be easy enough. Remove terror radius and aura reading perks and maybe remove the use of some perks altogether. I know I'd play it. Not sure how I would like it in off-hours though, when it takes a long ass time to get people in my lobby. I guess they could list player numbers per mode, but I don't know if that's possible without dedicated servers.

Survivor has never been easier than now. Last summer, survivors still had to pay attention on what happend. There were no indicators or big warning signs that told them that NOED is active or that they are affected by UP.
Now we have all those indicators that take the surprise factor away. Survivors just have to read what perks affect them and they know what build they can expect.
Killers are way to underpowered. -

Played ninja claudette on a darkest moonlight map. I was hiding in the high grass before the shack and the trapper came right into my direction. I didn't move and he stopped in front of me to set a trap in the high grass before the entrance. I didn't move, he turned around, started walking away and snap. The trap caught me. However the day of the party the cake decorator says the cake is not ready. Do you blame your friend? In the end they were the one to throw the party.
I do not think behavior is responsible for this, it is technically out of their hands.
You order a car from the car dealer. The day when your car should arrive you get a notice that they can´t give you the car, because they haven´t brought the tires yet.
Are you angry on the car salesman who didn´t do his job in making sure that everything works out, or at the tire salesman? -

Wow, all the people in here who don't even read the actual post.Anyway, I like the idea but feel it's too similar to dead hard, dead hard basically fakes a hit and so they get "stunned", but also dead hard is more bateable, if this is activatable a killer wouldn't be able to counter it and because of that I think it might be a little too strong, maybe a safe unhook + injured to activate?
(I realise you stated somewhere that they have to be injured to activate but has multiple charges which I think is just too strong).
Also, would an injured survivor be able to stun a killer carrying a survivor? There's lots of things we need to figure out.
I don´t want it to be OP, but an alternative for other Exhaustion perks:
- it could either be activatable while injured (like DH) or not. IF it gives a short invulnerability, it would be to much like DH. So i think it shouldn´t make the survivor invulnerable and it should be usable whenever the survivor wants (while he is not exhausted. Exhaustion addons can disable it.)
- killer can down the survivor while he uses it.
- it should require a pre chase timer. A survivor would have to be chased 15 (as obsession) seconds before its use. He then has 60 seconds time to use it (lower levels could be 40 and 50 seconds).
- non obsession survivors would have to be chased 30 seconds to activate it
- it can be used to free other survivors from the shoulder of the killer.
- it can be used several times.
- the stun is the same stun as a pallet stun. Endurance would be the direct counter.
-

Tsulan said:So i was thinking about a DS rework that would make both sides "happy".
To keep true to it´s name, turn it into a "defensive weapon".
The survivor would be able to hit and stun the killer (exhaustion status applies) like a pallet would hit and stun him.
No free escapes from the shoulder, but a small stun during a chase.
What do you think?
EDIT: It would be usable like DH during a chase, when the survivor is injured but not downed.
I like it but I feel like it makes dead hard pointless, what if it was usable while the killer was carrying another survivor to the hook like be a stick or something that breaks on contact with the killer, stuns them and frees your teammate, I feel like it would make it less cheap because you have to have at least two survivors to make it happen and it’s a decision on using it at the moment or a waiting On a better opportunity
It could have a timer like the pebble. Survivor had to be chased for at least 10 or 15 seconds in the last minute, to be able to use it against the killer. It would only make DH useless, if it gives a invulnerability like DH does. Otherwise it would be like a portable pallet with the risk of getting hit by the killer.

That was the idea the devs came up with and that was considered not "satsifying"
Come back in 2019 for the DS rework, but maybe it even gets delayed to 2020, wouldnt even be surprised considering that the perk already exists 2 years now with this broken free escape designPlease read again.
The dev proposal was to stun the killer while the survivor is on the shoulder trying to wiggle out.
My proposal is to use it like DH during a chase."The survivor would be able to hit and stun the killer ike a pallet would hit and stun him.
No free escapes from the shoulder, but a small stun during a chase."Thats was exactly the devs idea, basically other teammates were supposed to come and blind the killer during that "DH". the only difference was that devs didnt bother with exhaustion
No the Devs idea was a stun on the shoulder. Tsulan's idea is a stun during the chase, the time you are actively beeing able to do something.
Oh now I understand, you mean like pebble sth you throw at the killer during chase before you even downed him, I see.
But how would this work? Do you have to aim at the killer?
The problem I see with this is that if you make it a "guaranteed" stun, then this can be used to free survivors on the killer shoulder too, just with the difference that the one using the perk is not the guy on the shoulder
Well, they could add a timer like the pebble has. Survivor who wants to use DS had to be chased by the killer for 10-15 seconds in the last minute. Just an idea tho.

I've watched 10,000 other survivors run the same loop as you do... Clearly I've learned how to do it. I'm not that type of player though. I just run and try to survive. If I die.. Then I die. Not a big deal. I mean how could this game even be considered competitive in the slightest. Could you imagine a DBD tournament being commentated. Oh he dropped another pallet. Oh and an instant heal has gone off! In the 1 minute and 20 seconds of this chase already 3 generators finished." After a few more minutes... "The killer is finally going to get a kill. He got him down! Oh three teammates are surrounding the killer with flashlights that instantly blind him so he cannot get a hook on him anyway. And the games over." There's like a lot of balancing issues with DBD before this could ever be considered "Ranked" play. So do your thing. You've only got 20 hours in the game. Well that means you'll improve. Even if you don't want to take it serious. Eventually you'll get really good. It's not a skill thing. Just about putting a little time in here and there.

agreed. the dev tourny was awful. thats what happens when inexperienced devs just pick streamers and randos to compete instead of the top level players, tho there were a few good players in it. tydetymes was far better.
Can anyone apply to be in these tournaments that the Devs host? Could be something 'fun' (used very loosely) to do.

There are some killers that are not addon dependant. Hillbilly and Nurse for example. That´s also the reason why they are top tier.
If you want to lvl up a survivor fast, do it with David King. His teachable "We´re gonna life forever" is great at generating points. Since it doubles the points gained through the match. If you want the killer version, you would have to buy Leatherface for his BBQ&Chili. Also, try to kill as slow as possible. Since that generates the most points as killer. While being altruistic gives the fastest points as survivor. Just don´t unhook in front of the killer, unless you have Borrowed Time (Bill teachable).

You know what killers can do though? they can remove a survivor from the match by killing them.Just because a killer has hex perks doesn't mean a survivor should as well, and even then killers would just moan about wasting time removing survivor perks.
I think because the killer can kill survivor the survivor should be able to kill the killer because you know, the survivors just can't do that and it's only fair because the killer can.
Yawn
Yea lets make devour hope non-removable
lets make noed uncounterable
lets make ruin absolute hell (good luck new survivors)
lets make haunted ground a non issue bc why break totems if hex perks are permI'm not disputing there are issues with some perks, but you're clearly not thinking about balance of the overall game if you just want hex perks to be perm, or them not to be risk vs reward.
Your totems are going to get destroyed no matter how strong they are, so regardless, deal with it.
I've had hexes last the entire game, I've had hexes last for 30 seconds, am I in here crying that I can't do anything with them? no, because it's part of the game, and until they fix totem stealth it's how it's going to be,
Each survivor has 4 unremovable perks. Totalling at 16 perks vs 4 removable killer perks. Why is the minority the weaker side? Why can the majority take away perks from the minority?
Devour Hope: finally a real incentive for the killer to leave the hook. But naaa, that's a horrible thing. Putting survivors under pressure instead of the killer.
NOED: It only halves the required hits to down a survivor. Suddenly I fear the killer and it plays like a horror game. Terrible thing... can't have that.
Ruin: it doesn't reveal your position, it doesn't hurt you it only increases the gen repair time. Something we really need in times of 3 minute matches.
Haunted Grounds is more like a patchwork. An attempt to solve the totem problem. My experience so far with it: killer gets 1 down at max from it. Hardly worth a perk slot.
New players: I can't repeat it often enough. We need more things for new players. A separate queue, a barrier that asks people if they are ready to be thrown into the shark tank, another question after 5 or 10 matches, that asks the new players if they want to stay on the normal queue or if they want to go back to noob queue.
And we need a casual mode.
Btw. F13 allowed survivors to kill the killer. Didn't really turn out into a success, did it.
DS needs a change or a limit. 4x DS is usually a lost game for the killer. Doesn't matter how he plays. -
