it only stops oblivious, undetectable hides the killer still.
Oh, really? I did not realize there was a difference, I just used them interchangeably. Lol. In that case, I definitely love the idea.

Naaaaah.
Trapper is a relic from the past.
Nurse is what an interesting killer should be. Has some skill ceiling, is fun to play and changes the game mechanics in a fun and unique way.
The only other killer thats on her level in terms of being interesting to play and changing the rules of the game is the Twins.
Less basic M1 killers, more of those please and ty.
I more or less agree, every killer nowadays is an m1 with a teleport... Or an anti-looper. We have not had anything slightly different since Twins, which is from before I even started playing this game. Lol.
I hope I did not forget someone obvious, but I do not believe I did.
-
That sounds nasty for stealth killers. But honestly, I feel we need more perks that are actually worth running, so maybe...

Im still struggling with the new system myself.
I've unlocked alot of perks via the shrine, now perks i've already bought before are on sale at a lesser rank, but yet i thought i already owned them.
If you bought a perk from the shrine before the update, it converts to tier 1 of the perk. So now, hypothetically, you would need to buy it two more times to get tier 3 on every killer or survivor. It kind of sucks. I would not recommend doing that. Just grind them out the old fashioned way, Imo.
-
If you have a condition, skip it. I will admit it did not bother me in the slightest, but it is not worth the risk if you might have a reaction. I believe they are looking into it, so might as well wait for the updated version as it is better to be safe than sorry.

Yeah, probably.
Except for that facecamping Bubba I played last night. I asked him why and he started berating and laughing at me.
To be fair, what is the answer you are looking for? What would satisfy you? Probably nothing. I doubt there is a justifiable reason that you would accept.

I am alright with Blight on console, but Oni flicks? Ugh. I just keep hitting walls... And rocks. And barrels. And hay. Anything but the survivor, really.

Preventing a hooktrade isn't toxic. But I guess this is that legendary killer hypocrisy.
Bodyblocking me with BT is going to get you tunneled. I do not care if it is toxic or not. You want me to go for you instead? I will.
-
If I am on a gen challenge, no shot. I will grab literally any gen in my LoS.
-
Please not "The Snake." Why not just "The Gorgon." Medusa is not a snake...
-
Well, the cap was increased from 8k to 10k, so if you are stuck on them, you do technically get more.

Very likely a bug as it hasn’t been mentioned in the patchnotes (i think)
i Hope they are finally working on a feature where you can view multiple not-bought pieces instead of doing something backwards like this 😅
Yes, I would love something like that. I have been wondering about mixing and matching, but never really buy anything because I am not sure I will not accidentally create a monstrosity.
-
It is starting to annoy me a bit, to be perfectly honest. With everyone throwing, the game is not really fun as a survivor or a killer. It was alright at first, but it has been happening in literally every game so it is starting to get to me slightly.
-
We could do that, or we could just... Not. That is my vote, by the way. Let's not do that!
-
I feel that it is very loose, but still technically present.
-
Yeah, survivor is a bit difficult to get a decent amount of bloodpoints as you have to adopt a "do everything" playstyle on top of also escaping to even hope to get as many points as a struggling killer. That being said, even more reason for a survivor incentive (when queues are bad). Killer always had BBQ too, and now that is gone. So, for me, they seem pretty similar. I just get way less because I am not escaping. With an escape, they would be more or less the same, I believe.
-
I want to achieve world peace.
-
It is so bad that now people are giving up as soon as they see Legion regardless of their perks. I had one just now where I had to do 3 and a half gens, but that was all I could do before the survivors were done throwing. And he beat me on hook for some reason. 😢

@ThiccBudhha Tag me when the game no longer has Favor the Killer, lol
@Confused_Senpai sorry to hear, but I understand why; wishing you and your wife the best.
There was that time when hit validation was taking away literally everything. I do not complain here much, but you should have seen me back then. I would cry about it every day and tell them to add vault validation to seal the deal. Not going to lie, I am pretty glad we went back to favor the killer. But I am obviously a wee bit biased. Just a teeny tiny bit. Muahahahaha.
-
I do agree, bad matchmaking is definitely the root cause of why the survivor experience is trash. But if they fix it again, high end killer is basically unplayable. It is a tough problem to solve.

DC and giving up is bad and I don't support it.
However I can see why people like to do it. Forever Legion / Plagues with good addons, Nurse with range addons, Killer who just 3-gen from start and never leaves his area with heavy slowdown / etc. All these things above are super unfun and making game take either 5 min or 30 min. Maybe something should be done about this because in the end you can't force anyone play the match if they see how bad it will go.
Giving up on hook is VERY different than just disconnecting. You eat a 5 minute penalty regardless, and let's be real, the serial leavers are likely eating more than that. Just let yourself die if you want out of the game, it buys the others survivors a tiny bit of time that is robbed from them when you throw a hissy fit and rage quit.

I remember all the posts, YT clips, and streamers declaring the end! I also remember killers' idling or disconnecting once a totem was blessed a second or third time. I also remember some tenacious killers' that started adapting, but it was all over the place. Killers' didn't silent deal with it; it was months of complaining even after a few nerfs to CoH and some complaints persist today.
Killers have been complaining for as long as I remember because the game has always been survivor sided. If survivors were not super loud right now, you woud STILL see killers complaining because the game is still heavily survivor sided.

Thank you for the help, much appreciated.

Hell another killer for killswitch?
Please no. I just started learning him and Clown is one of my favorites. If THIS is double blood orbs, they might as well make it a feature. It still takes forever to get his power unless you go where a survivor completed a gen while injured.

We literally can't have threads anymore without a Killer main bringing up DH lmao. Survivors don't even care, just move on already. It's cringe af.
That is great that survivors do not care, but have you considered that Dead Hard used to exist?
-
Eh, I feel he would work far better as a hype machine pick. Perhaps next anniversary.
-
Solo queue getting destroyed is not a fact. Solo queue was always inherently bad and always will be. Even if they add voice. That is just the nature of playing with randoms.
-

With the changes the DEVs made there is NO need to camp or tunnel at 4 or 5 gens. Since this update I only came across 2 that camped and tunneled. The only ones that camp/tunnel now are
1. That's the only way they know how to play
2.Their playing like that to be a BUTT-HEAD.
I said it before if certain players refuse to change the way they play they will fix camping/tunneling.
Who knows what those changes will be only time will tell.
I do it because I prefer the playstyle. And sometimes survivors are good enough that I need to do it regardless. That is more rare than in the past, but you know, I COULD play for 12 hooks. And I am not intentionally trying to be a douche just because I enjoy camping and tunneling. I fall into option three: Giga Chad.
-
I do not think you want skill versus skill if you are complaining about Pinhead, man. Just don't go there.
-
The queue navigation delay kind of hurts, that was the one I was looking forward to the most. That being said, I thought the wiggle system was already permanent. Ha ha... Are people still using the old one?
Also, somewhat related, when is Project W tentatively scheduled for? I cannot remember the killer release schedule.

>used to play with my friends and wifey
>Solo Q is a disaster as it's always been
lol, ok
Well, you can do both. I swf with my sister and sometimes my homie. Occasionally all three of us, and once we did a 4 man swf with a mutual. That being said, the larger our group, the worse we do as my friend and his friend are pretty garbo. My sister and I are not elite survivors either, but you know, at least we can gen rush. Despite a large portion of my time on survivor being with a swf, the majority of my time was spent solo. The vast majority, really, as my sister usually only does the daily.
-
The issue with killing yourself on hook is that you have to go back to the horrendous load times and find a lobby without survivors dodging, and then wait a full minute after that 90% of the time and then load into another game.
So while I kind of agree, I am not sure sitting in menus is any better than actually playing the game. Especially when you consider the next game is likely going to play out relatively similar.
-
I would normally ask how THIS patch was enough to make any day 1 player want to leave, but then I also remembered every other patch was completely survivor sided. So I guess this is technically a first. Lol.
-
For emergencies. I went to someone for healing, they did not heal me until I started self caring. THAT changed their mind real quick. Lol.

@Nicholas said:
If you're that concerned, consider playing another killer then with different perks. It's a great time to try other killers out. I'm mainly seeing disconnects with a handful of killers that people don't like playing against, especially when certain perks are triggered like Thana. I haven't seen a single disconnect against most killers.
I had survivors give up against Freddy. No idea if he is hated or not, but I was running a dead perk (Lightborn when there were no flashlights), with brutal/spirit fury/fire up. Nothing crazy at all and I do not feel I was doing particularly well. Just a normal game and they just stopped wanting to play. One of them killed themselves on hook (at second stage, not from the first) and the others were just ignoring me on gens. I hit one and they just stood there and got back on the gen. It was so weird.
-
If a killer really wants me off a specific gen, I usually just go and do another one. Albeit, in a three gen situation, that is rarely an option. The problem there is that you always need someone pressuring a gen while someone is running the killer, which, as we know, never really happens in solo queue. So realistically you remain safe long enough for the other survivors to notice we are three genned so that we can work to win the war of attrition. It can take a bit of time though, as they sometimes scour the map trying to find a different gen when there aren't any. That is the main reason it is annoying, you need other survivors to do something and sometimes that just does not happen.

I don't think that making perks to hardcounter tunneling is the way to go. That just means you have to have those perks at all times.
I would rather go for the reason tunneling is happening. Turning the game into a 3v1 assap is just way to benificial.
Give survivors a desperation bonus to repair speed for every survivor killed will make killers think twice before killing a survivor without even hooking the others once.
It will still be a option but atleast the remaining survivors will still have a fighting chance
Wow... That is probably the only way you could ever convince me to stop tunneling. Well done. You are the first person who has ever made it sound unappealing.

@Seanzu said:
The issue is clearly killer queues being so long that they're playing killer and dying on hook instantly to throw matches, while also making survivors look as bad as possible.
Yeah... I definitely suspected as much. Killers playing killer and somehow dying on hook is probably the issue. Just a smear campaign.
-
Yep, I can now play survivor during the night. It is kind of interesting as usually I do killer only during night sessions. My queues went from around 5 minutes to instant and my killer queues went from sub 30 seconds to around a minute. Not too bad for me, but I notice that "night" starts later. There is a lingering bubble where killer queues can be quite a bit longer than a minute if I am starting a bit early.
-
In terms of escape rate, I might be living Sluzzy's nightmare scenario. But the game itself has been really fun despite that fact. Not going to lie though, the killers are definitely taking advantage of survivor clownery at the moment.
-
While you are correct, any more nerfs and they might genuinely leave the game. Rofl. They are REALLY angry at the slight buffs to killer. More than I expected.

Wrong. Survivors are skins; they all play the same. You don't have to play a character to level them up.
Let's just pretend the 20k node isn't there. You're getting perks on every other character you have, for free, once you Prestige someone. How is that less than what we had before?
Well, yeah, but if I want to use a new skin, the grind is objectively worse. No idea what your point is. There is really nothing to debate which is why you lead with "you don't have to." I do not have to do anything. The grind is still worse if I want to...

I have placed a Ticket with support but this isn't a single issue case.. I'm not the only person who has been robbed.. The discussion needs to be had so maybe the issue is properly addressed.. to say, "you could be lying" is flat out ignorant... i'm sorry but I'm not.
Don't apologize to him. The people who always assume the worst out of others, but blindly defend companies are not worth the effort.
-
Same. My survivor grind is going to be several times worse. Luckily I only care about a few of them. Maybe I will buy one of the new RE characters and commit to them. If they look better than Jill/Claire/Chris that is. I would play Leon if RE4 was default.

don't get me wrong, but you do know there are different time zones, right?
No, I forgot about that. I am American, other countries do not exist for us Muricans. Most of us cannot remember our own 50 states, you expect me to remember global timezones? The best I can do is Pacific, Mountain, and Eastern.

I am having a lot of fun. I am off a break specifically BECAUSE it is fun. I could have just kept chilling. I still have to finish my Genshin Event, after all. I am playing more survivor than usual as well. Usually I am kicking and screaming to play that role, but now I want to. No idea why, though. Maybe just because the challenges are doable and there are no cringe ones.

The only think I really hate about something like this is ... that Clown stays in the daily rituals pool and you will have about a 95% chance of drawing "Rite of the Clown".
I would be happy. I love Clown and would save the daily for the return of my jiggly boi. Better than another nasty Artist daily. The game really thinks I want to play that trash. No, thank you.
-
I just take that as evidence that mmr was indeed loosened. Albeit, anyone playing the game could have told you that.
-
The game has a ton of viewership despite its age. I checked it out last night at 2 or 3 am. Plenty of people, it was in the top two rows on mobile. Maybe survivors do not like watching during the day either. The game tends to be more of a nighttime delicacy.
-
If I am in a lobby where I need to "throw the game" to get a survivor out... That is probably why I tunneled. DS does not annoy me, I wholly expect it (I used to eat it early intentionally because of the end game exploit). Admittedly Off the Record is slightly annoying, but it would be even more annoying in a game I am trying to play fair. So the point is kind of moot.
Someone body blocked me with that trash while on stage 2 and just expected me to continue playing fair for some reason, they did not realize I was at 8 stacks of Save the Best for Last and they left the game VERY shortly after that little stunt (queue the Megamind, "no DS?) Maybe they wanted it, idk. I do not understand survivors.
