  • I would only view that as a positive if this were true; however, I agree with the guy who was creative enough to call you Nancy Drew instead of Sherlock Holmes.

What... exactly is "sjw" about that RE3 remake Jill? Do people just throw this term around for any change nowadays?

Over the Hill Valentine is not the SJW, she was bait for SJWs. If you thought that maybe she looked a little off, they would swarm you like #sharkweek and tell you about how problematic you were and that you were hating on the actress they used for reference) which looks nothing like Over the Hill Valentine, by the way, the motion capture model is very attractive, not her fault Capcom cannot animate).

Even the weird Samus cosplay Jill would have been better and I hate that version too. I miss when Jill was Jill, before her facial reconstructive surgery and Eminem phase...

  • I have been playing survivor wrong this entire time...

  • I am very excited, this will be the first chapter I buy in its entirety. I always skip survivors and even did in the OG Resident Evil (because they used zoomer sjw bait Jill Valentine).

These icons are cute, I like them.

The Leatherface one is the best and I would bring it honor. And hibiscus, because that is what my autocorr3ct that literally cannot correct the word autocprrect was changing the word honor to.

Yes, it's a bug with servers. It sends you to the wrong area.

I have a recording somewhere. I was playing Billy and the survivors and I all had pings in the 290s. And we were all EU. We were probably sent to the Australian server. They thought I was VPN'ing until I told them to check their ping in the tab.

Sounds like a typical survivor. Blames everything on the killer and can't even open their own menu. I believe this story unconditionally.

  • @Gorgonia said:

It was nerfed again because of the meta and because a bunch of killers feel they are entitled to get a hook if they got someone down. That's why they also complain about bodyblock, flashlight saves, etc. They make their downed state hooked transition harder.

If only pallet saves worked as intended (the save fails most of the time even when you get the stun points), they would complain about that as well.

Nah, it was nerfed to prevent free escapes, as they stated. I do not believe they are lying. Heck, barely any killers ever even complained about DS; I was like the only one here and I do not feel entitled to hook if I get a down. No idea where you are getting that from. I have literally never seen that attitude, ever. Not even from the most stereotypical of killer mains.

I think you are just mistiming the stun. There are iframes until the pickup has completed.

  • I am surprised Save the Best for Last escaped their wrath. I guess STGFL is actually better than your average survivor because at least it did escape. Ayy

No. It's ok to alternate between two survivors, hooking them in tandem. It's just that pure camping and tunneling is rather despised, which is fair guess.

Camping a hook can be a strategy, but I know basically no situations were camping the first hook should be the first solution that springs to mind. Normally camping as a strategy is reserved for the later game, ie when there is just 1 or 2 gens left.

Every situation is where camping your first hook is an elite strategy. It never fails me.

  • The problem is that some of these hacks can imbue other players with their hacks. So the new meta would be getting innocent players banned which is even worse than it is now.

More than anything im confused why MoM was on the devs minds before literally any other perk in the game. It just seems so unnecessary ? Within patch ive only seen ONE MoM.

That is a great question. I did not even think about it. I just wrote it off as classic Behavior, but yeah... Why the heck IS MoM on their minds? Lol. Strange.

  • @PapiFelixPSN said:

I agree. Everyone should be jumping for joy at this patch, because the changes themselves don't even matter. The fact that they're willing to make changes this quickly, as well as the fact that they're doing perk changes more frequently, is absolutely amazing.

Well, I am still waiting on Sadako buffs and they are apparently still waiting and seeing? Maybe they will figure it out near the mid chapter of Project W. Two perk nerfs and an interaction change are not good enough for me to jump for joy. We even have to wait for the update for them to... Um, turn off the killswitch?

Yeah. No. Glad you are happy, but I am not impressed.

  • They could perhaps do what Overwatch does and put them in a "penalty state" where you get 75% less bloodpoints until they finish x amount of games to completion. It does not work there, as exp gives you nothing except for humiliation in that game. But in DBD? People might stop doing it as frequently.

You want a grievance? I got a grievance.

Nobody used Overcharge because it didn't do the single thing it was supposed to do: force survivors to actually stay on a generator for a few seconds to revert regression and punish them if they tap it and run.

So they added a regression mechanic to it.

But it turns out that its regression stacked with Call of Brine's effect, regressing the gen too quickly.

So rather than removing the interaction, they nerfed Overcharge's regression to be worse than just NOT BRINGING IT, unless you ALSO use Call of Brine, just to get back to the baseline level.

And nobody is going to bother bringing both when you could just use Call of Brine by itself and have the other spot free for a real perk.

Rather than turning off the undesirable interaction, they just nerfed the perk back into uselessness, exactly like what they did to Thanataphobia.

AND they didn't fix the problem with survivors being to able to tap Overcharged generators, so it STILL doesn't do what it was supposed to do in the first place!

Yep. Wish you were a developer so these considerations could be made, lol. You would think it would be obvious; however, I suppose that is not the case.

  • I kind of agree, perks were never Behavior's strong suit. I would prefer focus on the maps and killers instead...

  • It might be a bug. They rarely give anything for "free." You need to earn it or put in a code in the case of cosmetics that do not cost anything monetary.

  • It is not as though any buffs or nerfs are made because something is gamebreaking. That is what killswitch is for.

These are just made arbitrarily. Of course it was fine, as many other perks were before they got gutted (BBQ being the one that hurts the most).

The only perk that NEEDED changed was DS free escape, and only that aspect of it. It could have even used compensation buffs to get rid of the conspicuous actions caveat.

  • Thanatophobia now grants an additional 10 percent permanent bonus if 3 survivors were in deep wound or infected this game. Can I be a dev, now?

  • Dying Light is low-key the better perk now. You heard it here first... Maybe. I do not know, I just assume most killers forget this one exists.

  • It is a SUPER bad nerf that keeps Plague and Legion annoying as ever and makes the perk a meme for any other killer. Not happy with it, but I expected worse. Can't believe they still give you a 12 stack for having all injured. THAT is the surprise. With how much they grovel beneath survivors, I was expecting 1% regression perk stack and that is it. From a worst case scenario point of view... At least the perk technically has a use.

  • There just needs to be a forfeit option at 10 minutes for anyone. Mostly to prevent being held hostage. But whatever, if a game has gone on 10 minutes and someone wants out, it is not the end of the world.

  • I am confused, what is your point? Do you want them to nerf seeing blocked generators now? I think you THINK you had a point, but you did not really follow through to the the natural conclusion. So, yes, everyone is aware you can see blocked generators. Thank you for sharing...

so you're basically saying that survivors need to see into the future too, why would I throw a pallet early when I know 100% that I shouldn't be hit on the next way around but the game poops you over. its quite frustrating. im sure their is more accurate ways.. like Fortnite has 100 ppl in their lobbies and is more accurate...

Because that is how you properly play survivor. You do not camp a pallet. You hold W. You will keep getting punished for your mistake until you learn. Predrop it. Always. If you can get away with not predropping it, you did not need it anyways. That killer is clearly inexperienced.

  • Honestly, it is worth it. I will never stop putting those killer nerds in lockers. I run the schoolyard.

  • Best to just cut our losses and appreciate whoever the new survivor will be. Rest in Peace, Claire Redfield.

To be honest, even if they fixed her, I am not spending money to buy that zoomer Jill to have the privilege of buying a skin.

  • They increased the grind to push queue incentives. It would not make sense to "fix" it.

  • Eh... Survivor entitlement is definitely an underrepresented topic; however, I think the losers threatening you are not really a prime example of that in particular. Perhaps they were also entitled survivors... But you know, not every entitled survivor is a complete baby raging psychopath. Conflating the two is a bit unnecessary.

The only thing I find off-putting about this game is the community. No update or patch or dev has ever made me wanna quit this game, but the community? Absolutely

Really? This is one of the nicest and most welcoming communities I have ever been a part of. What kind of games are you playing? I want in on them.

  • Reverting DS entirely would be insane. Reverting the stun would be alright. Heck, allow them to keep it during conspicuous actions to compensate.

The free escape is a big no-no, however. But whatever, I am used to it. I guess it does not matter.

  • Project W will carry us. I believe.

If SADAKO almost did it, the second Resident Evil chapter will definitely do it. Not a doubt in my mind. Even if he is a basic m1 with no other redeemable qualities.

  • I more or less agree, but I do not really believe there is anything we can do about the us versus them in this community. It is just human nature. And it is funny.

    Just being honest.

  • Is it that much better that they are not doing it to manipulate stats? You really prefer the alternative? It is just not a good look, period. But I do actually agree with you. I do not believe this is to manipulate stats. This is just how survivors are, in my experience. The problem with the patch is that it has amplified the reaction. While you might get a "DC" every few games, it is not happening literally every game.

I kind of want to use it NOW because of the funny animation.

  • Deliverance should stay a one time use and Slippery Meat shall remain the Giga Chad option to have multiple hook escapes. Heck, buff it so a missed skill check on struggle has a small chance of a Kobe.

people are saying it was a “free escape” pre update. Now it is a “free kill”. The devs changed because they didn’t want a free escape, now it’s a free kill. What did that change? How about just not deactivate my perks. Or deactivate DS when the gates are opened. That has killer counterplay for the killer and isn’t just a free kill nor a free escape for the survivor.

I would be down with it if exit gate progress regressed, but honestly, still, I would take that over old DS. As you said, it would be more of a coin flip as opposed to "free." Fair enough.

  • Sadly, I agree. It has been ruining my killer and survivor games. To be fair, killers are not making it any better. A lot of these clowns are 100% taking advantage of the baby rage. I got tunneled after someone DC'd, no shot. I can see WHY he was a tunneler as I actually escaped that game, by the way. The fact that he even attempted it was low-key more disgusting than any survivor behavior I have seen, however. Especially when you consider I was being sandbagged by this Meg who unhooked me in front of him twice and didn't take aggro.

  • The patch is not a problem for me; however, the "update" is. I have ran killers for what should have been 3-4 gens, but it just was not, because ain't nobody doing gens. People are killing themselves on hook after their first down. People are afk, or running around and using every pallet when the killer is not around them. I have had literally one game where someone was not throwing or disconnecting. One.

I am not good at survivor relative to killer. I still consider myself a baby survivor. There is definite room for improvement. But the update is very unenjoyable to play.

  • @ElleGreen said:

There are so many times when I get downed during endgame and still have my DS and it makes the games more Intense and fun. I don't see why It should be disabled during endgame. The devs took out a lot of the survivor fun with this patch and it has been really boring playing. Getting off the hook In EGC Is hard enough because of how much pressure is on the survIvors to save and the killer to camp them out so why take away the most fun and rewarding aspect of DS... It has counter-play for the killer and the survivors have to be able to keep it and know when to use it. Endgame has been really boring without this as a strategy.

What is the counterplay? You did not mention it in your post. Go ahead, share with the class.

  • It was overrated back when it was technically viable against baby survivors. I can run no regression and 4k. That does not "prove" anything.

  • Survivors are protesting by throwing games right now. I agree, my games were fine until they started getting pissy and refusing to play matches they queued for.

  • In that case, slug. If I were actually getting focused, however, I much prefer the old hookaroo.

Run Surveillance with Pain Resonance. You get the information and the buffed regression. Pop's still good. BBQ wasn't gutted. BBQ's is the closest thing a killer has to a 2v1 in football or a fast break in basketball; you have a survivor hooked, a survivor going for the unhook, and a survivor on gens to chase. BBQ allows the momentum to shift in the killer's favor. I'm telling you things you already know, though. You're not a survivor main. You're a killer main that needs to have the center of attention, constantly. It's killing the game.

Eh, I thought they might have been a killer main until they took a hard stance against camping. That is blatantly a survivor based attitude. No other way of looking at it, really. A killer biased player is not going to read from the survivor rulebook. Sorry, but that is definitely exclusive to survivor mains. #facts

That speaks to how efficient and quickly BHVR can fix Clown and not to the issue at hand. If something is a problem then you fix it. What you can't do is say "Clown is a problem let's banish him to the shadow realm" and they stay silent when the game changes you made just made the most unfun killer even more unfun. Bubba got a huge Buff by making gens slower, he gets 10 more seconds per gen to camp, he has in total 50 more seconds to camp without worrying. How can this be a change that was meant to happen!?

This impacts gameplay just as much as Clown getting perma speed boost. Are you just gonna let Bubba camp for free and make everything miserable for 4 players?

How is that a possible line of thought?

They can just revert gen speeds next update. No Biggie Smalls. That is not really a reason to kill switch Bubba. As if we even needed the extra time, lol. I am surprised survivors are pretending it makes a difference. Especially now with everyone giving up on hook.

  • Because killer players are just built different. Survivors could not handle it. Not Giga Chad enough.

  • I am more concerned about Clown and how long he will be shadow realmed than removing more killers from the game, actually.

I love how everyone is complaining that boons got nerfed then complain michaela is running self care over the healing boon.

i love how the boon takes 20 seconds to place plus the time it takes to heal. its barely faster than self care and also can be taken away AND you have to stay there. maybe she had a lot of games where the killer was in the boon raidus and got tired of it?

lastly its yellow. the small game is green. and the tiny fraction of perk number four is also green. this tells me she is a new player. we were all new at some point. and 100% of the player base ran self care when they were new until they were told not to use it. period.

this post is just bullying what i assume is either a new player or someone who just doesn't like boons since the nerf happened.

im a killer main and i love boons. take them. take the boons. waste time placing them instead of doing gens, i put the boon out, and then they waste time on it again.

self care in a corner? yeah it also wastes time. but i can't take that away from you either.

I do not even have Mikaela, so... Self care is all I have. I stopped running it, though. I would rather just let people die on hook than spend a literal minute healing. I will take my chances injured, I guess.

  • It is actually way easier to tunnel which is probably why there was a spike in it.
