  • The emblem system is even worse than MMR. MMR is not even tight now. No idea where the complaints are still coming from, the game feels similar to how it did during rank based matchmaking.

I’m so sick of survivors DC/giving up on hook, like go play something else if you can’t handle getting found first or going against a killer you don’t like. It is absolutely cringy.

Nah, if I get found first x amount of games, I am going to want out. You can only take so much of that trash mentally. I will not DC, I never do, but do not put me on a hook and camp it if you want me in the game. I have no obligation to not wait while my teammate is crouched near a bush. I will try to 4% (or whatever it is for Slippery) for another chase. Why not? And then if you put me on hook again, well, I guess you are just an amazing killer. Not any of my business.

  • It is still technically quite strong, but I do not know, with how much counterplay it now has... I wouldn't personally use it. I rarely used it to begin with unless I was playing a killer without my favorite perks unlocked.

  • I do not know, none of the survivors really talk at all besides Ash to be honest. I have never heard anything.

  • @Laurie268 said:

I think they should revert the endurance duration to 1 sec because 0.5 seconds when everything depends on the killers ping is ridiculous. I've been exhausted on the ground so many times, this is the only change DH needs to make it good again.

Eh, maybe .75? I feel .5 might be too harsh, but 1 second is REALLY forgiving. There is a middle ground to be achieved, in my opinion. Albeit, I do not care too much. I like the new Dead Hard. So it works for me either way.

  • Honestly? With how they made the grind worse and increased the BP cap, I find I am spending them WAY less frequently than before. I just wait until around 2 million and queue for killer so the queue does not feel wasted.

  • For the bloodpoints. Assuming you can escape afterwards, obviously. Albeit, with the glitch right now, even dying would be fine. Might as well attempt escape.

  • I think there is a server bug. I got booted but have no penalty. I am actually not sure as many survivors are genuinely rage quitting as I initially expected.

He’s not even out yet how am I supposed to know

He will be D tier like the last few killers. I just know it, because it is obvious. If he has anti loop, there will be a group that calls him A tier, but it will be obvious to everyone else that, "nah."

  • @dugman said:

Oni is way easier to control and get hits with during Demon Dash than Hillbilly. He doesn’t go into tantrums when he touches an object, has better steering, and even if he’s not dashing his normal lunge in Demon form still does instant downs. Also on top of that he doesn’t have that really loud chainsaw noise in your ear during Demon form, and the blood orbs can even be used to help track injured survivors.

I’m not that great with either Oni or Hillbilly honestly since I don’t play either of them that often, but Oni is definitely more user friendly.

Eh, I have a WAY easier time playing Billy to be honest. But I prefer Oni because of his weapon swipe animation and the Billy lore I did read was cringe, more cringe than Oni, somehow.

  • You can escape with less than 10k? Now I want to give this challenge a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • I am excited for the spike in players again, and Wesker sounds very interesting. No idea how I am going to level 2 survivors without BBQ though, that will be literal torture. Really happy they picked Rebecca for the OGs, most of the other survivors left a bit to be desired, honestly. I wish Over the Hill Valentine was her Resident Evil 1 version, or at least an option to buy it. They could rob me if they wanted, but instead they decided to butcher Claire? Sus.

While nurse exist this system cannot exist, sorry

Why not? The gens would only be blocked for about 20 seconds before one of you goes down. Lol.

  • @squbax said:

They won, they wanna show you they beated you, and if they didn't cheat they are on their right to show off they bested you, now how do you avoid this from happening?

You practice, start learning and if you get good, there is no way anyone can bm at the gates if everyone is dead before the last gen pops.

I mean, they do it even if you blatantly let them live. It is just part of the culture. People are reading way too much into it.

Survivors as a whole were the power role. Solo queue would lose because of teammates, but that's quite literally a skill issue. Solo queue was survivor at a low level most of the time, so it wasn't seen as the power role. But four good solos back then...yeah they were a part of the power role.

Teammates throwing the game is not a skill issue. However, yes, survivor is STILL the power role with the caveat that most survivors are quite bad and unorganized which makes the game FEEL extremely killer sided. People always blame the killer for their and their teammates actions. It is like some coping mechanism.

  • Exactly. Back in the day, Dowsey even believed she was Nurse's replacement or something. And that Sadako was A tier. Like... Good grief. I digress, whenever content creators hype them up, the sheep start complaining. People actually wanted her nerfed. Luckily that blew over. It was pretty yikes.

  • Apparently he is getting twice the blood which is insane as it still feels awful unless you find where an injured survivor was chilling.

And this, is one of the many things wrong with DBD now. Killers who cannot just take what is given to them and will complain about literally anything. You already got your buff, so what if you cant find a certain survivor, just go catch the other ones and close hatch? They'll eventually make a mistake

Because here's a funny thing about survivors, they're supposed to...I dunno... AVOID YOU? them hiding is a legal way to avoid you, you on the other hand tunneling them out because they refuse to run into your field of view and loop you is insane and wrong. Do you see the difference here? If they out play you and escape, GG'S good for them. If they die cause they got caught and made a mistake, GG's and move on. Stealthing a killer isnt some game breaking bug that needs to be fixed or something that's even a major problem, it's a you problem that you need to get over.

It depends on the team, but they can rush gens fast enough that you are not getting a kill unless you tunnel to be perfectly honest. You sometimes literally have to.

If they are average survivors, sure. Yeah. But I do not believe that is what he is complaining about. Nobody cares about the immersed players in their guaranteed 3k. It is more that when a SWF adopts this style and you do not immediately commit, you lose. Feels bad man.

I think camping and tunneling is a you problem that you need to get over. There is no difference, really. You are struggling with a style you do not like. The only difference is that I am not criticizing you for it. Thats all you, baby!

  • None of them, but if I had to pick one; definitely Artist. She is about as overrated as it gets and not particularly fun to play on top of that.

I might prefer the 9k shards back to get a survivor now that I am playing the role so much more frequently... But it would just be weird not owning all the killers.

  • I do not have the perk and I believe I will be buying Jane next for scientific reasons. But yes, if I was taking the game seriously, I would definitely prioritize Off the Record. Really surprised survivors do not run it.

  • @Sparks741420 said:

So wait a minute.. Stealth survivors deserve to be tunneled and camped because they're using a strat you dislike? so every survivor has to have a "run the killer build" because the only thing you want is chase... I'm guessing you rarely protect gens either you just chase till down on every survivor you see and blame survivors when you're blind... ya ok.. sounds "very open-minded" to play the same boring playstyle because you want chase "or else i'm gunna camp and tunnel"... pffft get real

Why not? If you do not like the strategy, why would you not use a strategy that they do not like? An eye for an eye and all that jazz.

  • I ran into a baby Nurse on RPD. I felt so bad when she DC'd. I was going to give her a free kill, but maybe the others were bullying her? Idk. She chased me for like 3 minutes, but I did not even get chase music because she was lagging so far behind.

  • I have been a lot more aggressive thanks to the bug as I no longer fear leaving the game with no BP. I have gotten so good at the new dead hard. I had some pog pick up into dab bodyblock. He tunneled me after that, but I felt so cool for just a moment, and without conspicuous actions, I would have left that guy to die and searched for hatch which is BORING.

  • @GannTM said:

Yeah we get it, trying to play the game efficiently is absolutely evil. I definitely haven’t heard that on the forums at least 5000 times.

I honestly do not like it either, but that is also how I play survivor because I am not some looping God. I am getting better, but survivor is very difficult in my opinion. I need every advantage I can get.

  • Sounds like a skill issue, cuh. They aren't called skill checks for no reason, you just need to git gud at clicking at the right time that only elite alpha male gamers like myself are capable of doing. I could do it at ten times the speed, with double the console latency, while in the terror radius of the killer headed straight for me because I am a giga chad. Perhaps one day you will get to my level and be able to time the button press at a top 500 level that gets me all the ladies. They love when I push the right buttons. 😉

There's that small portion that wished sheva returned in another game or a cgi film

I am one of them honestly. I only played that game co-op with my sister and she took Chris Redfield every time. Ha ha ha... So she grew on me. Especially in the boat section where she screams, "yOu'Ll CaPsiZe uS1!" if you accidentally bump a rock at low speed. Beautiful.

  • I honestly never play against that "meta." And the streamers I have been watching ran into it once. I feel, that perhaps... It is not meta.

I mean come on, bro. You are complaining about pentimento. That would be like if I complained about... I honestly cannot think of a survivor perk obscure enough to draw a comparison.

You preferred ruin/undying? Really? I find that hard to believe.

  • I just tunnel and camp them out to deter the behavior in the future. And when they get mad and send me a message, I calmly explain that they were being disciplined for their unsportsmanlike conduct. They always understand and apologize and we become friends and queue together without swapping last second.

Just kidding, well, about everything after the hate message part. They never learn and explaining it does not help. They do not seem to have the capacity to comprehend the words.

  • I did not even realize Rebecca appeared in any of those games. Unless you mean Mercenaries or something, I never really play that mode.

That being said, a Sheva skin would be so lol. I think the point of these is that people might want to buy them. She was not even popular in her one off game.

  • I was not thinking it either, but I am glad you are saying it. Fight the power, man! Let's stop Nurses from being able to earn livable wages!

  • @AvocadoPablo said:

The killers started it. You'll notice you didn't see survivors spamming Prove Thyself UNTIL killers started spamming slow downs + benefitted from 10 seconds to each generator, recovery from hits quicker, etc.

Survivors were told to adapt. So we did. Deal with it.

But I do not run any slowdown and nor did I ever complain about survivors or tell them to adapt. Am I allowed to not deal with it? You sure are a mean little Avocado. I thought those were supposed to be nice, but today you have made me realize to never trust an Avocado again.

  • I will only be impressed once I see someone do an accurate Spirit cosplay.

  • He can yeet survivors. I do not even care how good he is. I will use him to BM.

There wasnt as of 1pm Est today, so it must have just started if true.

Yes. Its so frustrating when you are 2 pips away from going up a rank and then meet two bully squads/camping tunnelers in a row and loose nearly all your progress. I thought ranks were just supposed to show how much time you spend playing since the last reset?

I just got two games where a survivor DC'd in the first 30 seconds. And I am not good at survivor, so watching that rank decrease hurts.

As killer, I do not care. It will be easy to climb back up or whatever. But survivor? Ugh. Feelsbadman.

  • It makes the endurance last a usable duration.

  • I regret buying anything killer related from that shrine. Survivor, well, I kind of had to. I ain't buying no 5 dollar skin.

Where did anybody say "no one will run dead hard?" Jfc you can't have a conversation on this forums now without killers still bringing up dead hard.

Killer mains still have nightmares about dab hard. This PTSD will not go away soon. It will haunt them for years to come.

  • Nah, Oni can keep the bug. He is actually usable with it. At least until they get around to adjusting his add ons.

Maybe they will fix Nemesis to celebrate Project W. You never know!

Tell that to the DMS + Pain Res artists I've been encountering since the update.

I've seen your comments and you're pretty killer sided so let me ask you this, imagine if a survivor perk was busted and the survivors said "yea but who's going to run that?" As justification for it staying, you and I both know that people WILL run those things because they're busted

I would believe them. Survivors are boring and never ran any useful perks unless they were HARD meta, thank the heavens above for that. The problem is killer mains are a touch more crafty and will definitely abuse the powerful perks unless they are shamed into not using them... NOED is obviously the one I am talking about.

Heck, I was scared off the record would be in 4 slots every game, but wow did survivor mains surprise me with their... Eccentricity.

  • Survivor does feel vaguely unplayable now, but mostly because everyone is busy throwing the game. I do not think the sloppy butcher buff that happened before this update is why survivor feels worse. Lol.

  • To feed me more bleeding points. I have survivors to level... By playing killer. It's complicated.

  • @Sadako_Best_Girl said:

It's better if you are willing to play the big pp playstyle of bodyblocking when your teammates need it the most. I would dare to say that it is a free endgame escape for a hooked survivor now if you get at least one protection hit and go for the unhook. Unless the killer has STBFL of course

I kind of feel it gets kind of outclassed by DH.

I would not call that free. That right there is earned. And also they will probably die for it.

  • Anyone else feel like survivors taste like cold microwave dinners after the BBQ nerf? I miss the succulent meat falling off the bone with enough crisp from the grill reminiscent of that flavor Texas is known for.

  • Because the game is killer sided and Behavior loves it that way. They do not care about is survivors just trying to live. No, they buff literal murderers. Wow!

  • I am not a Chad, I am a Giga Chad. So much so that your definition of Chad does not fully encapsulate just how much of a superior specimen I am. Your version of a Chad is someone I would pass around for smokes,

  • I do not get why you people insist the grind was improved and then start up discussions contradicting yourselves. Why is this even a trend. Yes, it got worse for everyone but people who already had most of the perks. Same as it has been since they announced it... Nothing changed, believe it or not. Crazy, I know.

  • Occam's Razor reveals all. They never wanted to fix the grind, per se. They wanted to create queue incentives. That is why. It increases the value of queue incentives...

  • @Laluzi said:

They should make the middle of the map stronger and then weaken the houses. The double window houses and the loop in the main building are bogus, but the center of the map is derelict beyond a few scattered pallets and a couple of the lawns are complete deadzones. It's weirdly unbalanced in both directions; a survivor is either doomed or has a free E depending on where they are when the killer finds them.

That is actually technically not half bad compared to some of the other maps in the game.

1 … 10 11 12 13 14 … 131
