Ugh... Without BBQ, I just feel like progress is SOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOW. I was spoiled by the majesty of grilled survivor meat.

I bet if every killer tunneled they would fix it. The problem is right now only 1/3 do so BHVR doesn't think there's a problem. If every killer started tunneling they would finally realize it's a stupid tactic they need to get rid of.
Already ahead of you, fam. I will join your cause, I have lots of experience, so I feel I am perfect for this position.
-
The emblem system was outdated when they came up with it. It is so ludicrously counterintuitive that it is ridiculous. Why they decided to keep it while overhauling the game is anyone's guess.
-
I misunderstood, ignore the first post. I do agree that the perk could use some dramatic changes.
-
I would be fine with 10 seconds base endurance from an unhook. 5 seconds is barely enough time for anything.
-
It is not that funny, or related to the game entirely. But I was playing, and my cat meowed really strange, as he would before regurgitating. I turn to comfort him and I get jump scared by a rabbit. He chased it and it unplugged my television. From the head phones I can hear the killer beating me on hook. Lol.
Funny to me at least. I am always on edge when playing survivor and I jumped out of my seat at the sight of the bunny. It genuinely scared me. I may have screamed. Just a little. A manly scream.
-
You do not need to play a perfect game to get a 4k. All you need to do is tunnel someone out early and play end game properly and you should get at least 2 kills from that. The other half is team and map dependent to be fair.
You only need to play a perfect game if you 12 hook, but if you are 12 hooking, the survivors are WAY below your level to the point where a perfect game is relatively easy to play out.
That being said, from a pure theoretical point of view, I absolutely agree with you. I just feel in practice there are a lot of factors that make DBD far from an ideal experience.
-
The gap between baby survivor and average survivor is extremely small. The gap between an average survivor and a good survivor is the size of our collective salt at this game. Once people understand the game, it is genuinely so one sided. I have no idea why people refuse to accept it other than the fact that they genuinely have no experience on it.
I understand an average killer will wreck average survivors. Of course. Naturally. But man, once they start playing to win, you will start seeing the BLATANT design inconsistencies really fast. And when mmr was at its "best" all of those streamers you are praising were crying more than your average forum goer as they were violated game after game after game. There is a reason Behavior loosened mmr and it certainly was not for average killers, I can tell you that much.
-
The last time it happened to me, I went to cook some dinner, by the time I was back, they had JUST canceled the game. Lucky timing for me that is quite uncharacteristic, but we take those.

I played her a far bit more this patch and am doing okay-ish. Not there yet were I would call myself a competent Spirit-Pilot, but I am learning! And IW not being on every second survivor also is a tremendous help. I wish it were as easy though as some survivor mains make it sound, ie "omg just equip Strider and thanks to nerfed IW win if you got 3 functional brain cells left."
Clearly you need a better headset. You need the "Reaper of Baby Survivor" series of Turtle Beach headset. Rumor has it you can hear the faintest of survivor breaths from over 32 meters away even when they are not injured. Get that and you will 4k all of your games regardless of survivor skill.

As a Bubba one trick, I have no idea what you are talking about. Homie already has the drip.

I got to boop Demogorgons too; a little perilous with all the teeth, but still boopable. I have also booped Ghostface as well (and gotten boops as Ghostface as well).
I did try to boop an Oni recently, we were in the exit gate and I crouch walked back to Oni standing at the doors and stood up and booped... he went into a Blood Fury, bonked me and sacrificed me...I learned my lesson that day that warriors of such imposing stature as the great Kazan Yamaoka do not find humor or amity in boops lol
How do you know that this is not just how Oni shows affection? Perhaps accepting the boops would be a greater offense to your honor?

@AngryHobo2 said:
To be fair, with the recent killer changes, I don't think you're getting an 11 second heal off mid-chase anymore anyway.
To be fair, that genuinely sounds better balanced.
-
Why? People still cry about Oni. It would do absolutely nothing to solve their issue and only make her infinitely more frustrating to play. Unless she got a one shot while in her power. Rofl. I HIGHLY DOUBT that is a compromise any survivor is willing to make.
-
DCs do not even count toward MMR. If they wanted to influence anything, they would hypothetically want to die on hook instead. Albeit, I am not encouraging or promoting this. Lol... Just to be clear.
My point is that I believe they are just genuinely frustrated or there is an internet connection epidemic. Either/or. I doubt it is malicious.
-
You already took the two best answers... So I guess I will just round out the top three with Ghostface's sigh.
-
I feel as though face camping with Doctor is a bit better than other m1 because his power can sort of stun them a bit to cancel the unhook animation, so if they decided to wait too long and you bodyblock a bit and fish for a grab, sometimes they just do not have time until the player on hook hits the next stage.
Also you can use your ultimate to see where everyone is on maps where there is a lot of cover so you know what to do more often. Especially if you stack Save the Best for Last and realize someone is coming to save alone, you can exert a lot of pressure with him.
That being said, there are still better options. I only really do it for his daily challenge because I am sick of his power never working on pallets.
-
I really want the cute carousel; but bro, it is just so hard to level up. The 1000 bonus per role was so helpful and now it is gone. I believe we had double rift fragments too? How was THAT double? Ha ha ha... The grind just feels extremely oppressive. I want teh horses that spin round and round, that is it. A humble request.
I hate battle passes. Darn you Fortnite, or whichever game popularized this nonsense. I do not even know who to blame.

No hate to you but I hope facecamping is utterly obliterated in the next patch.
It's anti-fun and takes away player agency.
But it would make me cry, Pulsar. Do you really want to see a grown man cry? Without face camping, I will be without a purpose. Just a wanderer going from gen to gen. That sounds depressing...

The amount of Toxic Killers have spiked.
2 games not 5 games apart
A bubba that tunneled and camped AF.
And a Wraith(who thank you developers, getting boldness points vs him is irrelevant) who did the same thing.
They were doing fine gameplay wise, chases weren't long, generators were doing fine hook/gens wise,2 hooks per generator...
I don't know if the others were't toxic to them.
I know I wasn't..no tbag or pointing or flashlight clicking
And what do you think, hooked and proxy camp by them, followed by them 4K and me as a last slug getting nodded and hit on the hook followed by a "gg ez"...
The level of imaturity in this game is beyond beliefs,it was bad before but now?
Why do you come on this game to take your IRL issues on random players?
What justifies you taking your frustration on someone else..
It's a switcheroo from 2018 toxicity survivor sided.
It was easy to be toxic as a survivor, there were so many pallets you could do whatever you want,on a few maps that is...on others it was tad harder.
I remember on my one Bubba game where I counted 26+ pallets in Blood Lodge, counted like 3/4 didn't have time to count the rest of the map..
I am not taking out my real life issues on you by camping as Leatherface homie... I am just chilling. Like???
There is no ill will, fam. It could be you, it could be the Jane, probably definitely the Jane. I love chasing Jane. I digress, or even Shirtless David. Unless that is a hate crime... Felix? Whatever, you get the point. I do not discriminate. No need to take it so personal. We out here just vibin'.

So I am guessing we are never going to get the name of any streamer that stopped playing solo queue, are we? You made me skim through 30 messages just to end up as disappointed as ever.

So, if you have played 24 hours a day for the 9 days the patch is live, is a total of 216 hrs, if we average...... 7 minutes game and 30k bp just to say numbers, in this time he would have earned 55.542.857 bp.
So basically you would have to play the game for like 23 days, 24 hrs a day to be able to reach prestige 100
Wow, that long? I was thinking about taking someone to prestige 100, but that is absurd. And I plan ahead 2 years in my gacha game, no kap. I remember back when I was obsessed with CoD, it took me 2 years of playing constantly to get 24 days played in Black Ops 1. There is no way in hell I could do that again, starting this late, after I have been worn down by over a year of survivor clownery? Nah.
Thanks for crushing the dream. Someone had to give me a dose of reality and I am glad that it was uuu.

They categorically did not ignore feedback from the PTB, some pretty significant changes were made that were explicitly because of feedback from a lot of players.
To your point, I'd imagine they're silent because it supposedly being a disaster is a pretty huge claim that isn't really backed up by reality. For a lot of players, myself included, it's been a pretty noteworthy success!
Eh? The reception to this seems very negative. Like, the Overwatch 2 beta that had tons of negativity after we got screwed for 2 years and they charged people for access to a game going free to play was less poorly received than this patch. I, like many others, believe the reactions are blown out of proportion. However, objectively, the feedback could not really be worse.
I believe they are silent on the matter as they do not have a response prepared as they were likely not expecting something as poorly received as a Blizzard update. I do not blame them, really. No way they could have seen this coming.
-
My Bubba was at p4 going on 5 despite never having been prestiged as I owned most perks. I was missing a handful because I did not buy certain teachables as I wanted to do that during the anniversary and then I forgor to level him up. I think he would have been prestige 5 had I actually gotten all perks on him.
If you were stuck at p1, you barely had any perks on that character.
-
It honestly does not seem to be particularly different than the direction we have been going. The reaction to the changes are quite extreme, but I do not believe this indicates a change in direction, realistically. I bet they are just as shocked as I am by the response.
-

AHS hasn't been relevant for like 5 years
They are apparently coming out with a new one. That being said, I am not sure I want Lady Gaga in DBD. LeBron in Multiversus is enough for me.
-
That pallet one gets me every time because I always disrespect pallets. Lol.
-
I want them to appease survivors so queues go back to being instant and games stop being thrown. Whatever they want, give it to them. I do not even care what it is. Just do it.
-
Sure, but the people ruining my games are doing it arbitrarily. I am not even counting the people who rage after a tunnel. Heck, even the people giving up against Legion (regardless of perks). Those are common, but I am more frustrated at the actual problem. Survivors ALWAYS gave up against annoying killers or when being tunneled. The people now are just doing it for no apparent reason.
-

Jesus christ just suck it up, it only lasts for 1 (one) minute and you can still see at a reasonable distance to be able to correctly loop. I have no reason to put up with your tantrums and yet here I am having to play with people like you who give up because they can't take one match against a killer they don't like.
It is really hard to see, not going to lie. I actually like playing against him though for those locker bloodpoints. Lol. That being said, I will probably run into a wall before I correctly loop him during nightfall.

I rarely run DS because I don't always get tunneled and I hate missing the skill check. That said, if you don't have to use it until end game (or purposely save it) why should it shut off?
I see a lot of people saying what you're saying, but I just haven't heard any reasoning other than "I get why it stops at end game", which isn't really a reason. Again, not saying specific to your post.
To prevent a literally free escape. That design is horrendous. There needs to be counterplay to an "I win" button for the sake of fairness.
-
Nah, I need to get to the end of that rift. The cute little carousel is mine, and honestly, once they add matchmaking incentives back, I will be on killer again. I can tolerate it for the time being.

I dont want to be rude or anything. But that is a very stupid mindset and with that mindset horrible wars happened. please be open minded... for your own sake atleast.
No, wars happen because nobody learns from the sentiment that history repeats itself. Overwatch developers have consistently made mistake after mistake, there is nothing of value to emulate. Behavior are Rockstars by comparison and I refuse to criticize them for minor difficulties that the community holds them to because it could be SO much worse and they at least seem to be genuinely trying. People are just taking have a good team for granted just because they do not like a particular decision.
I am quite open minded, but I have already been heavily invested in that train wreck and if anything like that vaguely happens to DbD I am going to leave.
-
@Devilishly_Rowdy said:
Where's this "killer has become super easy" "every match can be 4k'd easily" thing coming from? So dbd has become killer sided overnight now? Sure playing killer is easy when survivors play dumb, don't do gens and give up on hook, like they now are. Talk about overreaction. The teams i'm going against (not swfs) are still slamming out gens and playing normally. You can just tell they are good survivors who have already adapted, while the ones that relied on second chance perks are throwing tantrums. I'm surviving just fine in solo queue, the only difference is i'm not expecting to survive almost every match like before. The only thing i'll agree with is that Blight and Nurse benefiting from this patch should be nerfed, apart from that it's all just survivor mains overreacting to get the patch reversed.
"Sure playing killer is easy when survivors play dumb, don't do gens and give up on hook, like they now are."
This is where the sentiment is coming from. You answered your own question right after you asked it. That is happening basically every game for me as killer and survivor. It is really taking the fun out of the game at the moment.
-
Eh... I will still (most likely) purchase Project W. Hopefully they are able to mitigate some of these issues regardless, but I am not THAT passionate about it to skip out the better Resident Evil chapter.
-
The goal was not really to reduce the grind, at least not for everyone. That is just the red herring; the real goal was to create a long term goal for players and also push their new matchmaking incentive system. THAT is why we needed to wait for the "grind reduction" when all they would have had to do was adjust bloodwebs slightly.
-
What is "among other things?" Like, are we getting more Hooked on You news? Lowkey need that more than Project W. Survivors can't throw in my dating sim.
-
I am having the exact same experience. In conjunction with the throwing survivors, I can genuinely see why so many people are upset. Killers are playing more mean than ever, survivors are "chilling" more than ever. I joked about it before, but I am living Sluzzy's nightmare world. Every weird exaggeration they have ever made has been coming true on this patch. Lol.
-
I guess I would love these changes to get killer queues back to instant...
-
I am immediately against literally any idea that references that horrible mismanaged game. It is fine how it is now, and I hope our developers NEVER take inspiration from Blizzard in literally any aspect. Except maybe the 6 years too late f2p.
-
Do Bubba's pink add ons really magically make it so an incompetent killer slays? I might need to look into those... Ha ha ha... I never heard about them so I figured they were Freddy tier.
-
I do not feel it sucks because of survivor nerfs, even if I personally feel the only nerf needed was to get rid of the free escape on DS. Believe it or not, I am not sure Off the Record needed that taken away, actually. Just DS.
I digress, the game sucks as survivor right now because I have only played one game without a thrower, afk, someone attempting multiple hook escapes, or a DC.

They doubled your bp earned in a match
Play 3 matches
25k on avarage per match means 75k earned
Bbq earned 75k
You did a dailly for 30k
You completed 2 archive challenges one 25k and one 35k
In one of the matches you used a pudding for 25k
265k bp earned
28% was from bbq
Quite a chunk but nowhere near doubled
That's without rank rewards, any login bonusses and only a single offering. Survivors throwing in bps or cakes and the amount bbq does shrinks very fast. The higher end of archives give 50-60k
A lot of the bp we earn is outside of the match. Bbq didn't affect that
There is a dailly login bonus going on now for 50k. That's 2 avarage matches worth of bbq vallue jusy for login in
Okay, but it still gave you double BP per match which saves a lot in the long term. If they crank up log in events and codes, it will be one thing, but I doubt we will get a dramatic increase in those. Like, I do not randomly use pudding and my archives are done, so your weird and arbitrary hypothetical is more or less completely useless.
The reality is that I now HAVE to use a BP boost to get what I once had and I STILL lose the opportunity cost (which objectively makes the grind worse). All for what? To have a single percentage "better" grind over the long term (without items)? We had to wait years for this "improvement?" Nah. I am not going to pretend to be grateful.
-
I agree with Behavior on this one. No idea why people are still running it. If they want to gut it, I would not even mind. That perk is dead to me. Make it so that it only shows their auras if they are not moving. Lol.

I was going to guess 4 when I clicked on this thread and read the topic... Only now I look like a McLiar because you spoiled the results. Disgusting. And my second place was team 4 because they were all base characters. Why team 6 over team 4 in that case? Tons of noobs play Ghostface. It doesn't even matter that he is paid dlc. I bet you got multiple saves against a Ghostface, even.

It actually is because it’s their game
That is not balance though, that is just their intention. There is a pretty big difference between the two. What they say; goes. But if they are saying that 1 plus 2 equals 5, surely you see why many people would take issue with that. Their game or not. It is just simply incorrect.
The real issue is that balancing a 4v1 game is intrinsically difficult. Perhaps even impossible. Overall, I feel the game is way better balanced than most people will admit... On average. But the outliers are extremely imbalanced, probably more so than a typical survivor or killer would complain about, surprisingly.
