...cool, you get corrupted and you take your anger out on 4 survivors who didn't do anything to you... that's what we need
That cycle is the weirdest one that I will never understand. One survivor or killer pisses you off, so to teach them a lesson... You target other survivors or killers???
Whatever floats their boat, I suppose. Seems weird to me. I usually just beat the toxic ones on hook and call it a day. It is not my life mission to ruin a random survivor's day.

Wasting perks slots to counter game flaws
That is all I ever do. On both sides. I just cannot stand some of the mechanics, so I run whatever the counterplay is. Lightborn being my major one. The day I got blinded to the side of my head when I faced a wall was the first (and only) time I rage quit, and I do not leave home without my faith. Never again. Lightborn is our lord and savior.

I bought the chicken clown cosmetic solely for the joy it brings me to farm with survivors in it because it's a wonderful pun. I literally play chicken clown with no perks and just the party bottle addon and only go for direct hits on them with the yellow bottles. It makes me happy. I've odne it for years. I also play every PTB as said chicken clown to meme on twitch players. These things make me happy.
I refuse to quit because the devs are only interested in listening to balancing advice from sweat lord killer mains who wake up every morning and look themselves in the mirror and say to themselves "you HAVE to tunnel and camp to win!"
You dont have to tunnel and camp to win. If you do you just suck at the game. Also, you dont have to win every game. You dont have to play to win. You can play to have fun. Remember fun, Jimmy? You used to love having fun.
But I can win either way, by camping and tunneling or playing like Otz. Killer dependent, of course. I just CHOOSE to face camp because that is what makes ME happy. I do not sweat at all, I actually am usually playing Fate Grand Order while I do it. Extremely easy. Once I was eating ice cream WHILE responding to a salty survivor who messaged me on PSN and still got a 4k. If that is not skill, I so not know what is...

games have been dragging for ages and killers are camping gens too besides slowing them down and regressing them...
As for Dredge, when you play against him, the number of lockers multiplies by a fair amount so you find a locker in almost every location with a nearby gen
Not when I play Dredge. I swear, playing him makes me so frustrated about where lockers spawn. It is like they purposely chose the most ridiculous areas.
-
I mean, I just teabag the hatch whenever I get it because that is survivor etiquette. They always do it and I would hate to feel left out. This is a tradition as far as I am concerned, like waiting at the exit gates when I could just leave.

Yeah, honestly, a lot of my games I already had to do 3 or 4 gens by myself and NOW? That extra 10 seconds feels like an eternity when you are in a 2v1.
Conversely, I low-key couldn't even tell when someone had the Dwight perk that makes the gen go faster if there are two of you. It looks extra zoom zoom now. I might start running it. Prove Thyself, I finally remembered... lol.

Hey, at least our "split" community will remain unified. Check out Overwatch where the split basically killed the game. Luckily DBD developers are not THAT inept. Heck, I do not believe there is much wrong with our community or developers at all, actually. I love them. One of the best I have been a part of. Sure, survivors are a bit entitled and killers are a bit whiny, but if that is the worst of it, I can live.

Killers that keep letting survivors win are doing nothing but messing with the numbers. When killers do this they just pad the metric that the devs are looking at to decide how to buff or nerf things. I personally will waste a killers time instead of them allowing me to escape.
How do you waste their time? If they are letting you live, realistically the only thing you can do is let the entity kill you during EGC. Is that what you are talking about?

A Leon with default perks? Ash? Kate? Yui? I didn't know those were default survivors... and that means that this person has at least p3 on other 4 survivors to play Leon with those 4 perks at t3.
The new Claudette was pretty bad I have to say... the other 3 were trying to be cool but got stomped.
He is only p1. You got that after the update if you were level 50, I believe. I mean, maybe Leon was the only survivor they had with all the sabo gear? It is not a super optimal playstyle regardless, it is more for trolling newer killers. Which is more to the point. Because clearly it did not work. Lol.
-
Ah, yes, you can tell how sweaty they were... A new Claudette, and a Leon with most of the default perks with 11k points. Strong survivors for sure.

@Crowman said:
DH objective did get nerfed. It's no longer a generically good at extending chases. You actually have to time the dead hard to get the extra health state and it doesn't work when you are already in deep wounds meaning some killers are good at countering dead hard innately.
Eh, I will call it a buff for the same reason people pretended the Pig changes were buffs.
-
Eh, whatever makes survivors happiest within reason. I only draw the line at a complete DS revert. The free escape was ludicrous. They can have the stun back, though. I would not mind if they kept every killer nerf and reverted every survivor nerf outside of the aforementioned DS.
-
Huh? It is literally the opposite. The grind was reduced heavily for people who already invested a lot of BP. New players are BEYOND screwed with this new Titanic grind they have ahead of themselves.

If you're not enjoying the game at the moment, don't play it. I don't understand why these people queue into matches they obviously don't want to play at all while dragging everyone else down with them. It really amplifies how horrible the solo survivor experience is at the moment. Nobody is forcing them to play. I don't get it.
Well, I kind of want my battle pass items. So while I am not necessarily thrilled to play, I am probably going to just to grind hours. Papa needs that Jane recolor. Even though I did not buy Jane. But I did not buy Jane because her base cosmetic is bad.

I swear survivors are like Goldilocks, they don’t want to be on gens, they don’t want to be chased, they will only be a little satisfied if they can do all of the above and have a 4 man escape every game. That’s the only perfect porridge for them lol.
I can hardly blame them. The most fun games are where you can sort of just chill and still win. I do not mind doing around one gen by myself in addition to the gen we spawn on together and having a quick chase with the killer where they either hook me and go somewhere else or give up and chase someone else.
The games where you have to do literally 4 gens or get tunneled for 5 minutes straight are kind of cringe.
-
To prevent a free escape. Why WOULDN'T it be disabled during end game? Developer incompetence was the excuse before, but they finally realized that design was ridiculous and fixed it. So now there is LITERALLY no excuse.
-
So what you are telling me is that I should start my archives on the survivor side? Lol.
-
You want me to camp someone for 7 minutes? I mean... I can do it, but I thought the goal was to make the game MORE fun?
-
You know, survivors always ignored reasonable points from killers as well. It is just the nature of the beast, and now that the tables are turned, you expect me to care about your petty grievances? Absolutely laughable. Especially knowing the devs will bend over backwards to make this right for you guys. You expect it over night when surely, by now, you know how their update schedule works...

People keep touting "iT's oNlY 10 eXtRa sEcOnDs".
Completely ignoring:
-Reduced distance after hit
-Reduced CD after hit.
-Adding STBFL to the above. You can hit a survivor, continue "chase" and get another hit within 4 seconds. Intended?
-Slow down perks (Pain Res, Call of Brine, Dead man's)
Honestly, I would not mind the gen speed to be reverted, myself. I feel 10 seconds, even in a bubble of "iTs OnLy 10 SeCoNdS" to be a bit extreme. No idea why they made that anti-fun change.
Save the Best for Last is fine, in my opinion, because it is conditional. I guess they could normalize it in conjunction with the new cool down. Whatever.

@Marigoria said:
We can blame both. People who farm you from the hook and the killers that are still tunneling and camping.
Blame me for what? Killing you? Oh no, not the blame! Please save me from it. I can't handle a survivor telling me that I am responsible for killing them in a game where my goal was to kill them. Image the horror! Have some decency, Margarita. Please.
-
There is Dying Light, or whatever Myers has. Do not remember the name. I think it is kind of an interest soft slow down off meta perk.
-
You would think it is common sense to play a party game for fun, but most people purposely ignore that this is more or less the goal.

It's even worse on the suffocation pit now.
Hell even coal tower seems to have a similar layout now.
I do not see how it could get any worse, but whatever, it was already one of my least favorite maps.
-
Well, then play survivor? Or a different game. Nobody can help someone else's boredom...
-
It was definitely an odd nerf. The end game one is a common sense change that should have been addressed years ago. The stun duration was fine, however...
-
NOED is still the best killer perk...

I agree, I believe Mathieu Cote is doing a pretty good job so far. The rest too, but especially him. Love that guy.

So Otz got frustrated in a match, after getting 50 win streaks. I feel so bad for him.
I cannot really recall if he recently got a 50 winstreak. After mmr was implemented, that is. I recall he got close, or perhaps he did make it, but he was actually dodging high mmr lobbies to achieve it, for obvious reasons. You do not get 50 winstreaks against good survivors. It just does not happen. If he did in fact get one recently, it would certainly prove my claim about the loosened mmr.
A lot of people are apparently experiencing mixed lobbies ever since this update. Literal baby survivors in lobbies with survivors who have been playing for years. Not sure about the veracity of those rumors, myself.
But the point remains, the game is survivor sided when people are playing optimally. The issue is, as I am sure you are aware, survivors rarely are. Not that I blame them. Between archives and how boring gen rushing is... It makes sense why so many try more eccentric playstyles that are not exactly going to work on some sweaty killer playing as mean as possible.
-

Can you give me an example of high mmr?
When the survivors know how to play the game and do not have a weak link throwing the match. Lol.
Tournament level is where you typically see that, and it trickles down. Matchmaking specifically has quite clearly been tweaked since its (mmr's) inception, so you know, getting an actual high level lobby is more rare than it was a few months ago. But it certainly still happens, and it will always remind even the most timid of killer mains that pretend the game is killer sided because of their success against bots just how soul crushing difficult the game can be. I remember watching Otz wildly swinging at shack window where a survivor taunting him like some frantic beginner because of how flustered he got under the overwhelming pressure of competence. And that guy thinks survivors should be enabled to unhook with no counterplay, just to put things into perspective.
-
Eh... Teamwork is not a viable solution in solo queue. Never is, and never will be. Especially not without a proper ranking system.
-
@Marigoria said:

Where is it survivor sided? Please elaborate
At high mmr.
-
Off the record. Nothing else really matters at the moment, it will take time to figure it out, but realistically, they did a pretty good job of shaking up the meta... Besides off the record. I mean, I guess it is technically new, but why they thought that would be balanced?
-
Honestly? I have always been extremely survivor biased and feel the game should have been MORE survivor sided than it already was, solely to prevent my queue times from increaseing; however, after tasting these salty tears, I am actually kind of okay with my queues increasing just for the schadenfreude.

I won something like 30 times in a row. You start feeling a little bit bad after a while.
Nah, I would never feel bad about it, actually.
-
This is a killer sided forum, so naturally when there is a killer buff, you would... Wait a second.
-
DS was a free escape during end game, which is why it got nerfed. I did not read the rest because, no offense, if you needed to be reminded of this fact, I am not sure the other points were going to be particularly valid. I suggest you just play killer instead, you might be happier.
-
Yes, they all left and they are never coming back. 10 extra seconds on a gen and dead hard nerfs will do that. We were a strong group of individuals, but nobody could handle these changes. It is just unfair.
-
Well, Lightborn is the easiest and most spiritual way of doing it. But slugging works too. You have to respect the locker unless they suck.
-
Well, pings and base kit kindred WOULD buff swf. That being said, I have ALWAYS been for the idea. Heck, optional voice chat would be fine by me too. I know survivors are afraid of other survivors, but it would go a LONG way into closing the gap and you could just mute the toxic players. You know? Same advice they give to killers regarding end game conduct.

I hate this whole wait a few days arguyment, you really think people partake in this forums when they play 3 matches a day? i was saying new map was surv sided and bs from the start and guess what people told me?! guess what the truth was?! there is no need to wait to know solo q is gonna be harder, its the easiest and most logical assumption and its just gonna be proven true as it already is. do i care? not really, but there is no point in telling people to wait when its not like its a new killer like deathslinger. (yeah he sucks he is slow and his ability sucks) fast forward and slinger has an oppresive chase just as bad as spirit and forward a year or more and he gets nerfed but still has slight quickscope. like i understand waiting but this mechanic is straightforward
Your opinions being all over the place is actually evidence in favor of waiting and seeing. And I hate that argument, so many survivor mains regurgitated when Sadako was blatantly bottom, and she was always bottom, except in Dowsey's heart. So I get what you are saying, but your examples kind of indicate that perhaps YOU should wait and see...
-
I honestly doubt much changed... But yeah, I would be curious after perhaps a month of data, at least.

Yes they will. The bonus bloodpoints are relatively pointless after the prestige update. Most people are playing for fun, not to maximize their BP.

Yea I don’t understand why they just didn’t leave DH at 1 full second. That alone was a tight window, & if someone was skilled enough to time a hit, they deserved the reward.
One second is EXTREMELY generous for a parry in a pvp game. That being said, I still feel it should have remained at one second. I would hardly call it skill based though. And that is fine, it does not need to be.
