  • It would be a huge buff. Most survivors heavily rely on fov tech because, well, what else do they have, to be fair?

I am not saying they should not fix it, I am just saying there is a reason they won't fix it.

  • I would be more horrified if they released an A tier killer. Like, for real. Not what the YouTubers think an A tier killer is.

  • Play survivor if you want to play survivor. Everyone knows about how survivor sided the game is outside of the survivor one tricks, but their opinion does not matter, really. Just play to enjoy yourself. It is a party game, fam. Have fun. If killer is not it, you do not need to play it.

Hmmm... Weird how camping and tunneling are now much harder with the new changes. You sure you wanna do that? Numnuts.

I will be fine. You just have to change up the approach a bit. But if there is anything easy about survivors, it is face camping them. They always get so mad and make tons of mistakes as a result of it. I am not too concerned about the changes.

Bubba's with Devour and Noed make me go hmmm

That speed boost is poggy woggy and windows are bad civ. NOED Bubba should be the gold standard, not something to be questioned!

what kind of insults? if its ingame trash talk then theres nothing wrong.

everytime i run killer all game ill send a "gg ez" just for a light jab & nothing more.

if its slurs and of that nature then yes "insults" are bad and shouldnt be in any game community

I genuinely do not understand this "logic." But yeah, generally speaking... Randomly insulting your opponent is definitely a bad look and nothing that I would ever do because I am not a degenerate.

  • The issue is, if they want to make it so camping is not viable, the survivor nerfs to compensate would be incomprehensible. Apparently even now losing Dead Hard has them all crying about solo queue or something? Who knows. This was a love tap and off the record is more powerful than any perk prior. If THAT was enough to anger them, imagine what actually balancing the game would do. Not acceptable.

Personally I don't report because it shouldn't be my job to police their game

If it was as easy "click the thumbs down" button, then yeah, I'm totally on board with reporting. But it takes longer to report a game than it does to play the next game and I'm not using my free time to police their game

So it's not that I'm skeptical that BHVR doesn't take action, I just don't feel like I should have to do all the work to report that BHVR requires me to do so I don't.

I prefer it this way compared to Overwatch falsely banning you because some salty teammates did not appreciate your hero choice. I can guarantee those losers would never go through this process because by time they were halfway through, the baby rage would have disappeared.

Comparatively, a lot of people will go through these hoops to get rid of the blatant cheaters. It is a nice balance that I really appreciate.

And yes, half the reason is because if all you needed to do was report in-game, I would be banned within an hour based on how I treat survivors. Muahahahaha.

  • I thought you meant "completed" as in, earned the charm. I have only completed "completed" like two pages of that thing. I am not good at survivor, so those challenges are painful as hell. The killer ones are mostly done. I am just missing some of the Oni ones as I did not unlock him until recently.

  • Off the record plus three random perks is technically an improvement, I guess?

you don't lose your items with the new prestige, you can't avoid it either it forces you at lvl 50

I meant the news that you have to be p1 before the patch to get p3 once the update hits live. My only prestiged killer is Sadako because I wanted to flex and p3 her day one. The rest are p0. So, as far as I am aware, I will not be getting tier 3 perks for all my killers even though most of them could have gone well beyond p3.

I’ve never seen the show but I’ve heard it’s good? 🤷‍♂️ I’m kind of ambivalent on charms, I like picking them out for my killers well enough but, really, who needs 100 charms in their inventory?

It is one of the only anime you will ever catch me praising. The other two are Stein's Gate and Fate Zero. So if you have seen those and thought they were good, I am sure you would like Attack on Titan as well.

The thing about charms is that you do not need 100... You just need 3 good ones. Lol. And none of these scream must have for me. I am not even sure I will buy any of the skins. I need to see them first, obviously.

  • @Ayamir said:

I am getting that Yui Mikasa skin and Zarina Hange skin on day one.

not really hyped for the Oni armored titan skin don't think it will look good on him Warhammer titan would've probably been better but we'll see.

Did they actually confirm that? I would have bet money that they would use their money printer, Feng Min, for Mikasa. I am genuinely surprised.

  • My hope is that it does not happen. The fact that we EVER got Stranger Things was a stretch. People hate the truth, but Five Nights at Freddy's definitely deserves it more than some Netflix science fiction. I prefer horror in my horror games... That being said, I did love the OG chapter. It worked. Not going to lie. But I do not think they can catch lightning in a bottle once again.

People trying to kobeing when the rescuer is almost there is super common, I usually leave them to die, from my experience its more of a console players thing albeit Steam users also do it from time to time.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060674#Comment_3060674

Hence the "this is going to hurt me more than its going to hurt you" saying...

As a console player, yes. I do enjoy hopping off hook. I do not intentionally do it when someone comes to rescue, that is just a coincidence.

  • The return of the only killer sided map in the game. Survivors everywhere shriek at the mere mention of its name, so to be respectful, I will not type it out.

  • It is honestly not too relevant because if you had to slug for that long to get someone to a hook, you were already behind. If it is a last survivor, you can just bleed them out. If it is not, best to just cut your losses and chase someone else.

  • I feel the same way about Hex perks being survivor perks. You know what I do to remedy that? I do not use them. I might be some evil genius or something... How did I ever think of that one?

  • If anything, this is not good enough. I was lead to believe our progress would count regardless of bloodweb. But now we need to prestige? Nah, screw that. I will just keep grinding the traditional way, I am already more or less caught up anyway. But then they nerfed BBQ just to try and force my hand. I do not care though, I am not about to lose my items because they are incompetent.

  • @Nathan13 said:

Nah i’m fine with 2 million being the cap.

I am sure you were fine with 1 million being the cap too. I think this matters more for people who care.

  • The absolutely bonkers ones should definitely come with a catch. But most perks in this game would not qualify, in my opinion. The vast majority of them suck. And if they have the tiniest bit of synergy, they get nerfed before long.

  • The exact same as they are now? I would be extremely shocked if I was wrong about this one. Lol.

  • @Wampirita said:

But after the update I feel like it's kinda too much towards survivors...?

Idk, I might be wrong on this one, we can't really judge it until it hits live, but I can't get rid of this feeling that it's not quite right.

I'm fine with mostly all buffs and nerfs in the 40 perk changes, but the recent rebalance doesn't sit right with me.

I'm KINDA fine with DH change, cuz it would be nice if people tried out something new, instead to sticking to the perk and trying to make it work like a stubborn baby.

Endurance needed to get bonked, it would be way too good if it stacked, but it should be revisited. It was not a good approach, since Legions are going to have a field day with turning off every endurance status.

Also the change that doesn't sit with me THE MOST is the DS.

The ONLY DS problem there was is the free escape during EGC. Why the stun duration nerf? It was perfectly fine, and IMO, could be longer. It's supposed to punish killer, but now it doesn't do crap.

Idk, any other killer player feels like me?

If you know, you know I was the "DS is the best survivor perk" and always laughed off survivors who pretend it was "overnerfed" because they could not heal or whatever to get their stun. That being said, even I was shocked about how far they went with DS. Until I saw off the record and was like, "oh, so that's why!"

  • I am actually really surprised, with how much the community complains about the most mundane "issues," how the actual anti consumer approach to the game gets ignored and defended. It happens in plenty of games really. Oh, no! A perk is imbalanced. Waaah waah. Game is a paid game using a free to play model? Nobody blinks.

It took me awhile to notice because the game WAS free for me. I downloaded it for PS Plus awhile back. And I believe it is on Gamepass. So console players low-key have an excuse, imo. PC players that just take it? Well, you know, that is the reason they can get away with it. But it looks like they love it that way, so... No harm, no foul?

  • Nah, with how greedy I learned survivors were, I refuse to give them anything. They will rot in my inventory until they add a pre-screen showing what offerings people bring. I would bring a cake if at least 2 others did.

  • I would say it happens more often than multiple mistakes costing a game as, honestly, if you can get away with multiple mistakes, the other side is low-key bad.

  • @catkillsmouse said:

New perk Angry Camper -When Killer Stands near hooks grants immunity to Survivor against Killer chainsaw attack for 1,1.5 and 2 seconds.

-Deactivates if more then one survivor is near by during the rescue

-Also grants %1 to repair and healing speed for the remainder of the trial (stacks for each camp rescue)

We would still just grab you off of the save you think is free and then you will be parroting Otz about how there should be no counterplay to unhooking.

  • @CaulDrohn said:

So? It's their right to keep it private. And it's their right to write salty messages to you, if you allowed that for all steam players. That's got nothing to do with cowardice. What does it change to you that the salty ones have a profile you cannot look at? How does it make their salty comment any more brave if you can look t their profiles?

It does make them more brave with an open profile because most of the toxic weirdos are beta as hell. Irl they are that guy getting annoyed but too afraid to speak up. On the internet, they are finally free to be who they really are without the fear of a pimp smack.

  • Basement Bubba is good balance.

  • Well, thank you for the spoiler in that case, I honestly didn't ask... But I am really glad you gave it to me regardless. Very thoughtful of you.

At first, I thought the skin was modeled after you had a bit too much fun on the weekend. But now I know the truth, Netflix actually decided Behavior's fanfic was top notch and made it Nick Canon. Naisu.

  • Pinhead is not so random. People allergic to the lament configuration have always despised him.

Nemesis is a bit strange. However, he kind of has a tunnel orientated reputation and he invalidates the two things survivors love most... Pallets and windows. So I wouldn't say it is left field.

Legion is one of the ones I will never understand. They say mending is boring when they created an alternative meta around healing. Like, bro?

  • I will spend the 9k shards on Dredge. I am pretty excited about him even though he is just Sadako 2.0. One of the first killers with interesting lore, and his prison style mori is the cherry on top. I love him already. He is also the last killer I will ever need to grind. So, a bit of a bittersweet send off, I suppose. We finally have the boogeyman.

  • Sounds like the best player is the one escaping. Glad mmr is working as intended.

  • @AGM said:

This game has bigger problems than occasionally having to wait 3-4 minutes to move on to the next game.

If you are genuinely being held hostage (and no, having to wait for the EGC to end is not being held hostage), then just dc and take the 5 minute penalty, because as long as you haven't been abusing dcing, 5 minutes is nothing.

Nah, I am not about to go into time out because some undisciplined survivors want to hold the game hostage. I will be killing at least one of them whether you like it or not. At that point, it is important to assert your dominance. Once you find one of those degenerates, you bleed them out for 4 minutes. Would rather wait 4 minutes for that mofo to die than 5 minutes in a lobby.

  • The same reason people bully the people they bully irl; because they can. By definition, they cannot bully me. They absolutely try, make no mistake. It just gets them nowhere, and they get nothing. They lose the game before long as well as lose the will to try and bully well before the game actually ends once they realize it does not work.

The issue is, in real life, all you need to do is stand up to a bully. In-game, a new player does not have the ability to stand up for themselves yet. That makes them a prime target for these antics.

The better question is why YouTubers are allowed to make money off deranking and harassing new players in-game for a wide audience while being supported for it. And sadly that answer seems to be, "because it is funny."

In this community, it is just some sort of hazing ritual. Everyone goes through it, on both sides. The main difference is the nature of it. Survivors are a more time wasting type, they get off on that. Killers are the opposite. They will not even let you play the game for a collective minute before a new/bad player is tunneled out.

  • @Norhc said:

Pip system is horrible for survivor, people have been complaining about it for years but BHVR simply doesn't care.

It is pretty horrible as killer too. Any system that requires you to cooperate with the competition to earn said medals is obviously intrinsically anti competitive. I cannot believe they used to match make off of this. And people whine about mmr, lol...

  • They are just toxic. No surprise or further comment needed. Stop trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. They weren't disciplined as children, okay?just push them out and move on.

  • I genuinely cannot tell if this is satire or not, but thank you for reminding us that it could be so much worse.

  • Okay, so what you want to do is pick any killer besides Leatherface, right? And face camp yourself. You will learn the counterplay REAL fast. Heck, you probably would as Leatherface too, but there is a percentage of survivors intelligent enough to not even try which is why I recommend going for literally any other killer so that you learn faster.

  • They should buff Dead Hard instead.

  • @Tsulan said:

You should definetly try playing as him! Most of what you said, would be invalidated, if you simply took a couple of matches and played as him.

Eh, I love Nemesis BECAUSE he does as the OP described. Obviously he has counterplay and good survivors know it well. But I would rather play Nemesis than any of the killers survivors religiously whine about. I can't believe they struggle with Artist, for instance. Embarassing as hell, but not as oppressively cringe as the Legion haters that came out of the woodwork.

  • Impossible to tell. The ranking system is garbage to begin with and it resets every month. I am just saying that you do not see efficiency or mmr preservation at lower ranks. And it is very easy to climb as a killer. A few too many 4ks and you might genuinely be playing against high mmr survivors.

  • Ew... If I cared about emblems, I would have quit already. I hate cooperating with the enemy for challenges with the emblems. It sickens me, deeply.

  • Maybe you made it to a high mmr? That is just how the game plays up there unless you have an altruistic group.

  • I do not bully others for no reason. But if I did, I would stop.

  • No, I am saving them for Project W.

  • I do not decide to beat someone on hook based on whether they brought Dead Hard or not. I do not care, fam.

  • I would wager... None of the above. It likely depends on a few different factors. A lot of people misunderstand mmr as some tool to have balanced games when it is also merely a win to loss regulator.

  • I suppose this is goodbye then, we will never see each other again, sadly.

  • The same way that I, as the player, am stunned by how awful these hook spawns are.
