You have some really long showers, maybe next time you have one, you should think of the counterplay instead of how annoyed you are by it?
-
Yes, please... Stop complaining about killer, put your money where your mouth is. It is hard to believe killer is such an oppressive experience when my survivor queues are instant.
-
5 minute games are the opposite of boring. They are very fast-paced, obviously. I am sure losing to amazing survivor players was "boring." But it is up to you to prevent all of us from splitting onto 3 gens for your first chase.

Sounds like a lot of killers who highly utilize camping don't actually LIKE playing Dead by Daylight, they like ranking up. Because the main gameplay design of the game is to be chased and to chase--thats why theres so many perks around that. If it was designed for camping there would be perks that make camping better--"When standing within 5m of a hooked survivor all survivors within a 10m radius will have their auras revealed" yet we never see perks like that do we? Sounds like killers who boast the face-camping strategy just want to rank up and gather blood points, not play the game. Because if your TRUEST form of enjoyment is just standing in one spot watching someone die on hook, you'd really enjoy watching grass grow.
You get into more chases by camping, in my experience. It is easier for them to come to you because they have to save or it is a 3v1; where those types of survivors would not stand a snowball's chance in hell. It is cute that you think patrolling generators of immersed survivors is more compelling than literally just standing there, but I would argue it is about the same.
If it were up to me, I would prefer finding a new target and getting into chase, but most of the information perks are booty. I do about as well with or without them because they never really help when it actually matters. Except for Lethal. That is the only good one.
-
Rebecca in her cheerleadering outfit... I guess Resident Evil Jill if we are pretending not to know who the survivors are.
-
I know right? We pop the gens in less than 3 minutes only to realize, oops... All of them were near each other. But anyways, gen speed is too slow, so I find this to not be a huge problem very often. It is more likely that you get a team who refuses to touch the gens!
-
It is just impossible. If you do not have an entire group playing perfectly, the killer basically gets a free 4k. I do not want to play in a swf, but without it, I never escape.
-
He would be pretty pog if survivors didn't have more control over his traps than he does, I will admit.

Math is not biased. It does not "go both ways".
For that to be true, the departing players would be on relatively equal numbers.
And they are NOT.
Not even CLOSE.
Look at the survivor/killer population numbers for two seconds.
You are correct. More survivors are leaving than killers.
-
Dead Hard is fair because the game is so killer sided that we need Dead Hard to even have a chance of survival.

Nurse should not have slugged if she has a problem with Unbreakable (or Exponential, in this case). No reason to slug 3 people with 4 Gens to go.
Do you actually count gens before you decide to slug? That is so thoughtful of you. I wish more killers were as skilled as you.
-
As a survivor. I will still be angry even when the last killer leaves. Nothing can stop me from this battle rage.
-
All I can say is that camping at 5 gens is the least sweaty style by a long shot. We be chilling, fam. Not even playing, realistically. You can text while you do it. Rofl.

I honestly Think Adrenaline is the worst exhaustion perk.
Corrective action should of been made into a default perk.
Inner focus is crap just because of the fact the scratch marks aren't color coded. no using it to find a specific teammate.
I have no idea what perk E3 is
Really? Maybe I overrate it a bit by placing it second... But worst? Like, worse than Head On? Or that Yun Jin beat drop one. Lol.

I can say with absolute confidence this has never happened to me.

Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears will actually get you more kills automatically with this change, because the average number of searches has increased.
Not me. I play add on less which is why base killer nerfs frustrate me. But whatever, it doesn't matter too much. If I want my head pop, I will get my head pop.
-
Nah, you are alone. All the killer mains outlining this issue are just bots. Killer is fine. Realistically survivor is the role the game is rigged against. Have you ever played solo survivor?
-
No, she can keep her best maps and lose her worst maps. Survivor main, BTW.
-
Okay, still a nerf. Lol. If I need to explain why a guranteed key is a nerf, we have some major issues.
-
I miss frantically trying to slug everyone to death when we had three key lobbies. It was not even that long ago, but I feel nostalgic.

Mm.
I think a lot of it comes down to the bizarre positions of the devs themselves - who, on one hand, pride themselves on being ultra-progressive, but on the other hand will literally defend trash talking and nastiness as an integral part of online gaming. This is how you get a community that is both shaved-bear levels of touchy and BM as all hell.

I think it comes down to the bloody archives this time around, some of which are pretty fiddly on the survivor end. So people queue up, and when they realize they're not getting it done that game just cable pull.
The DC penalty system as a whole needs a look, because it's about as effective as a fart in a hurricane.
They are saying the opposite in that post. Trash talk is what is toxic, and they suspended me for calling survivors rodents, I think? So they are technically consistent about it. Lol.

When you start to think that this forum is killer - sided, always remember, sluzzy (troll) posts get upvoted here.
Also,we could say that survivors get carried by second chances perks, except that with slowdown,90% of them you need to hunt, chase, down, hook etc... to get it to work, while second chance perks are just free and that's it.
He BARELY had any upvotes. 4 people and who knows how many of those are ironic upvotes. Chances are great that all four are ironic upvotes to be completely honest. But even if they weren't, and 4 people genuinely agreed... That would almost prove the assertion that this forum is killer sided.
And good. This place SHOULD be killer sided. It is a sign that the community skews a bit more on the logical side. Huge positive.

How do you think companies make money? giving stuff away for free? no.
I mean... All the original content is free. I didn't spend a dime on it.
However, I did spend money on the game. Quite a bit. More than if I would have had to buy everything. That is almost why the free to play model makes more money than the full retail model. Lol.
-
I understand most killers hate it, but with the removal of Hawkin's, which was my favorite; The Game has taken over. I play Bubba and Nemesis most often, though, so I do not really care about pallets as much as other killers might. It is just a beautiful map and I am a huge fan of Saw.
Even when I get it as an m1, I do not mind much. It is extremely fun to play. Obviously there are a few too many god pallets, but whatever. I also love all the breakable walls. I know, another killer sin. It just makes it more engaging to me.

These challenges are literally made to throw games, it makes no sense at all
It does make sense when you consider their goal is to make the survivors throw the game.

It is about as dumb as survivors complaining about tunneling. In the same ballpark given they are more or less equivalent relative to the roles.

So what you're saying is "don't bother adepting, just play for fun"?
No. I am saying to lower your mmr and then get the Adept first try.
-
I need games to end fast because my internet is being shoddy and I ain't want to get a DC penalty, ayy.
-
He can be quite tricky to play against competent survivors. I had someone who felt like they had auto deadhard to the point where I just started opting to chainsaw him while he was injured, lol. I am not saying he was actually cheating or anything, I am just saying sometimes the caliber of player feels that way.
But anyways, Adept is more or less impossible unless the survivors are very bad or throw without raging. So I would derank a smidge if that is your goal.

Would disagree.
She has a step learning curve, but once you get used to her Blinks, she is pretty easy to play. Her difficulty is really exaggerated. And so is her Skill Ceiling, there are many Killers in the game who are weaker than her but have a higher Skill Ceiling (Blight, Billy, Huntress, just to name a few).
Huntress? That is a really interesting one I do not see thrown around too much. Is she your main? Lol.
-
Does it surprise you, genuinely? You she gets nerfed every other patch.
-
Um... It is still a nerf? Like, all I care about is the headpop. It is not that difficult to understand why people are calling it a nerf.
-
I will do it first try because I am a No Mither Giga Chad, I do this all the time without the challenge equipped.
-
I do not care about how strong killer is. If I did, I would be playing survivor NOW.
I would be concerned about the health of the game if they balanced around a 75% killrate.
-
Well, no. Because each killer has their own unique mmr. It would be fun though, if I was queued as anyone, got a TTV, I could swap over to Leatherface and give their audience a show. It would probably be easy too as all of my killers are way lower on the mmr scale relative to my chad Bubba.

That's a fair opinion. I don't know how you play, but generally I try to 2 hook people because I get more bloodpoints and I don't want to tunnel people just cause I know how it feels. With how I play, I would consider getting 9 hooks balanced because that could mean I 2 hooked everyone and got 1-2 kills. For my win conditions on how I play killer, I would call this a draw, but I totally get that most people do not play like this.
I also didn't call this easy to do, I just meant that it isn't the hardest one in my opinion. I feel like Gatekeeper is harder to get because you basically have to dominate the early game and make sure the gens don't fly too fast and then guarantee that gates don't get opened. It's definitely not easy to have a good game like this when you're going against sweaty survivors, but considering OP was able to mori their survivors, it probably means they have enough games that they dominate where they should be able to get 9 hooks.
That is a really good point in this particular context. I just, personally, hate the medal system. But you are correct.
-
The problem is more that you are not the arbiter on what is problematic or not. I feel that most people genuinely agree with your post at a base level. But also, different people have different opinions on what is problematic or not. AFK Pig is a great example. Plenty of survivors and killers alike find it "problematic." I think they need to get good.
-
No? Who even has time for that? There are only like 3 people here who have consistently bad takes to the point where their post history is burned into my memory. And one is a legend, Sluzzy. I feel comfortable name dropping them because I have a positive opinion on their antics. The other two, sadly, aren't as nuanced or interesting.
-
@amazing_grace said:
Yeah, it seems that you're misunderstanding on how to get Devout iridescent. I don't know how it was before, but since I've been playing killer, it's always been 9 or more hooks. So yes, this is difficult if you are just having a bad game, but this emblem definitely isn't hard to get if you're playing a relatively normal balanced game. Just be careful that you actually hook 9 times. If they reached second stage, it still only counts as you hooking them 1 time. So just make sure you two hook everyone and then just kill one survivor and you should get it. I don't know why you are trying to mori them if you want iri devout, but that's the main place you're going wrong.
If you get nine hooks, the game was not even close to balanced. Maybe if you hyper tunneled the first two and got lucky with the last two cooperating with you instead of playing for hatch. But still, I wouldn't call that easy as it requires the other side to help you...
I would just use a low mmr killer to do that in one try as opposed to attempting it on your main.
-
It is your fault for not running Lightborn, though. They try that on me all the time and take a guess how many times it worked out for them. If you guessed "not once since becoming born of the light" you would be correct!
-
@VaJaybles said:
Wait you have people genrushing? I played MAYBE 5 games and the randoms just kept hook diving me and then scattering the second the killer turns around and slaps my cheeks again.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. I have had to HEAVY slug to extract points out of the survivors. It is harder than trying to 4k them. Lol.
-
They have been slowly making challenges that require more than one game, recently. And it SUBSTANTIALLY increases the time required to finish the battle pass. It was super noticeable last time which is why I needed to take a break from the game. Luckily this rift sucks, so I only care about the Meg top. But still.
-
I only played AFK Pig BECAUSE of the nerf, so for the 45 games I ruined, blame Behavior. Not me. I would have literally never done it if they weren't gutting Pig... Again.
-
Um, they are still collecting data. It is too soon to determine if an m1 is viable or not.
-
It is funny? Like, I do not go out of my way to sabotage everyone, but if you are annoying me and stupid enough to follow me instead of breaking off, I am not afraid to sandbag. And the locker spams a noise notification for the killer, so I do it when I want them to focus on me. It is not that deep. Survivors still annoy me when I am on survivor, believe it or not. Archive challenges need to be done one way or another, and I choose efficiency... So that I play LESS survivor. It benefits everyone. I am so altruistic.

Literally just had this.
Brought pudding, Steve and Meg hid in lockers and tapped gens to avoid the AFK crows. Took me 40 minutes to finally find them and finish them.
Yeah, this is off to a great start. Frankly, stalling things out like that should be bannable.

Also - ammunition...for what, exactly?
I had those stand offs when going for adepts. Lol.
Pinhead was the best. It was only a matter of time before chain hunt outed one of them and I caught her out before she grabbed the box, so it led me straight to the last one. That was my finest adept ever.
And then for Freddy, they finally realized I was not going to get rid of my three gen and had the whole side of the map rigged with traps. So they, not so humbly, admitted dafeets after around half an hour. Freddy has a way of killing survivor morale. Well... So does Pinhead, I guess.
Long story short, afk crows suck at their job, when can I hook THEM instead?

In my first 5 games of the bloodhunt as a solo survivor:
Game 1: 2 DC on first down, 5 gens left. Me and the Nancy just hook suicide. No point in playing
Game 2: 3 DCs after 1 gen done. Hatch game, waste of time for hardly any BP
Game 3: found with Letha Pursuer in the first 10 seconds and immediately hard tunneled and camped
Game 4: 1 DC immediately after they were hit with Legion's Frenzy, a minute later the other 2 DC
Game 5: Killer using hacks, then posts the website for an automated cheating bot in post game chat. This is the 2nd time ive gotten this SAME Bot killer(same name too). Reported it with video over a week ago. Zero response from BHVR. So I find it true when people say BHVR doesn't really care about the quality of their game anymore.
I don't like SWF because people talk too much and/or have open mic/no mic discipline. Then playing Killer, the MMR is still broken. I either get games so easy I feel bad for killing them despite not tunneling or camping at all, or i get Sweat with Friends. I'd rather go back 4-5 years and play DBD when it didnt have all these glaring issues.
I am sure you could find a swf with mic discipline. It could take a bit of effort, but it might be worth it if you are finding the game to not be worth playing as a solo survivor.

No point. Just p3 Dredge and once the update launches, voila. Free real estate.

I'd say that survivors are, on average - even taking the 4 to 1 radio into consideration - more toxic than killers.
However, there are absolutely some nasty killers out there.
Flashlight macros...I still have no idea why these are still a thing, as noxious stimulation+strobing is a good way to mess with photosensitive players.
The devs do seem to be looking into some sort of player rating/endorsement system, which should help out.
I just do not run into a toxic killer one out of every 4 games, that is the truth. I have seen toxic killers plenty, but it genuinely is not at the same ratio as the survivors I have experienced. Not that it matters, per se. But I see a lot of people claiming it is "just" because there are 4 survivors in the lobby, or that killers have more "potential" to be toxic as they can take away your ability to play.
This is not even an us versus them. I have to deal with toxic survivors regardless of my role.
That being said, in regard to the OP, I do not feel that taking away their tools will stop them. Call me a biased Leatherface main, but it just doesn't change anything, they will find a way.
