The killer mains with severe pride issues make me really cringe. There is this YouTuber who always makes fun of survivors, and one survivor who was frustrated with his team identified himself as "the one that ran you" when te killer asked and he want full ballistic hissy fit mode. Projecting about dead hard, and ranting, spamming the end game chat with his salt. It was really pathetic and I hate that I am associated with people such as him. No idea how someone so toxic still has a Twitch account.
Do not get me wrong, I have a bit of a pride issue myself. You try to clown me, you get face camped. But, like, I am not throwing a temper tantrum over it. I just return the favor. If anything, from what I have heard, that is what these survivors want anyways. So I am doing them a favor.
-
The win is all that matters in a practical sense. And it is easier to design.
-
It depends. I am usually pretty chill about it unless I am on a challenge, however.
-
I have seen survivors like this in my lobbies. They just exist. I am not trying to team with a filthy survivor. It just happens. I will go for them instead of the person they are sandbagging, if it makes you feel any better.
-
DS literally gives you a free escape if you use it end game. That is objectively as unfair as it gets. I have no idea why this is not more commonly understood. There is counterplay, fortunately, which is to tunnel.
They always use the excuse that it counters tunneling when in reality, it creates an incentive to tunnel. You do NOT want to eat it late game or you immediately lose whatever progress you had on the survivor unless they were already 2 hook. But that loses you late game pressure regardless. So I wouldn't call it ideal, either.
Now, I am NOT saying it needs nerfed, or that I hate it, or whatever other straw man survivors come up with. It is just a fact that the perk is quite broken. No, it doesn't matter that they nerfed it years ago. What matters is what it still enables, which nothing else does. No, not even Dead Hard.
As for the other ones? Whatever. They are potent, but they shut down undesirable killer strategies and make for a healthier experience. No idea why anyone would bring them up as unfair. Especially when they have genuine counterplay to the point where you will never see them if you play well.
-
I never wait at the exit gate during those challenges. That way, if the killer pushes them out, I get all the glory.

Saying GG after you camped every single survivor and tunneled for early 3v1 is definitely toxic.
Saying GG even after you got stomped is respectful.
There are differences
I cannot have good manners based on my playstyle? I am being toxic by exhibiting sportsmanship, because you, LegacyColt, got offended? But you rejecting it is not toxic, no. You are just throwing a temper tantrum with dignity, of course. My bad!

It should only show Bloodpoints offerings, and only the ones that affect the killer as well.
But then it becomes "pay to win," or burn an offering for a mercy escape (if it comes down to it)
----
Just finished a match as Nemesis and had the opposite result. 0 kills, 2 hooks, and barely 10k points. But hey, at least the 4 minutes it takes survivors to finish all 5 gens was enough time for me to find the Purple Glyph...
Good, maybe the game would be healthier if survivors actually helped out and killers stopped relentlessly treating all of them the same. Sounds like an ideal change to me.
-
I love this intelligent game. So it all balances out, cosmically.
-
Yes, you will still be able to earn the bloody cosmetics after the update.

"cant apply enough pressure on the entire TEAM so they have nothing else to do then gens obviously."
AKA map design. This issue is map design.
The reason why for most killers it's literally impossible to generate enough pressure to slow gens down is because most maps are way too big and loops are way too safe.
Like 90% of the games maps could use just a flat 25% reduction in size for starters.
The game should realistically have like 90% of loops mind gameable if the killer is good enough when the pallet is thrown. Currently like 80% of the games loops are just flat out safe once the pallets thrown and you're just forced to break unless the survivors plays really, really bad.
I have no idea why this dude goes out of his way to try and rephrase that map design is the issue. I guess he wanted to feel unique, like he came up with something never before addressed.

Actually there is counter, do not tunnel. If you tunnel, that's your risk. If they remove locker part, everyone will just slug survivors. This will not be healthy change for game.
And DS is already band-ait because survivors have not any mechanic against tunnelling.
Maybe opening gates should deactive DS too but except this, DS does not need any nerf.
You can still get hit by DS without tunneling, it is much more intelligent to counter DS by eating it immediately and rabidly tunneling them out of the game to make up for lost time, actually.

I think pyramid head is well designed and fun to play as and against
It is fun to play against because if I get hit by his ranged attack, I know it was 100% my fault. I sure do love that as a survivor.
-
I bet I am having more fun than you are doing all those gens. So, who is really winning???
-
At first I thought you were talking about me until I read "from Bioshock."
-
The game would probably flow a lot better if Brutal Strength was base, maybe a little faster to kick-a-roo the gen that survivors tapped? Or better yet, get rid of tapping. One second minimum to stop regression, that would be pog and we do not need the faster kicky feets.

I still got a question... why would you want to unhook and extend the game even further.
Um... Blood points? Never give up, trust your instincts?

So you objectively know what’s good? Oh, and what’s fun too, even though everyone has their own definition of fun. It’s the same story, people suck at the game and call killers boring and unfun, or weak and unfun. Maybe just learn how the game works before posting about how bad something is and being a lazy sack of you know what.
I never claimed that, no.
But I do genuinely believe I have a better idea than someone who thinks Deathslinger is pog, no offense intended. That is just the truth. I have complete and utter confidence in that.
Ironic.
-
I hate to say it, but the only way to address the problem is to find a swf. It doesn't need to be a full 4 man. Just another like-minded player alone will dramatically increase your success. Solo queue is a nightmare if you take it seriously. Whenever I solo queue, I HAVE to go in with an attitude that my enjoyment is not predicated on an escape. I also only play survivor when the queues are fast as waiting a few minutes just to get tunneled is about the most rage inducing thing in gaming. Ha ha ha...

Unrelated but are you on the overwatch forums by any chance?I swear I remember your username.
Also to answer the question.I would run Blast Mine and Balanced Landing
Yes, Overwatch is actually my main game, believe it or not. This is my escape. Rofl.

This is quite possibly the worst comparison I've ever seen.
Just because one side has something doesn't mean the other has to have a direct equivalent. Survivors have exhaustion perks, doesn't mean the killer needs a perk to increase their speed to 150% for 3 seconds. Killers have perks which block the generator at the start of the trial, doesn't mean survivors need a perk to instantly complete a generator at the end of a trial.
You must see some pretty normal comparisons if THIS is the worst. If anything, your comparison to corrupt being a hypothetical free gen finish at the end of the game is objectively worse. So I contend your first statement is a blatant lie. You have seen worse in your own message. Apples to apples versus apples to oranges, my friend.

The problem with this logic is killer player like to just pick the easiest most effective way to win. Why do people not play Spirit as much? Probably because she’s demanding to do well with, same as Billy. Deathslinger takes knowledge of when you can pull up for a shot, instead of just quick scoping all the time. I play all three of those killers after nerfs “gutted and destroyed them” as so many want to claim, yet I still find success with them on a regular basis. Most players here are lazy, they want easy mode killers to carry their lack of skill.
Its the same with dead hard, people who use it are just taking the easiest way to success, and it will hinder them in the future. Nobody wants to build a skill base, it’s just path of least resistance, and when it gets nerfed they get upset because they aren’t as good as they thought.
The problem with your logic is that I can literally play whoever you believe is the worst killer in the game and "find success with them on a regular basis." It does not make them good or fun.

I just went against a killer that was complaining that there was 3 ds' (keep in mind only 1 ds got used and it was at endgame so he just got salty)
Are killers still upset about the existence of this perk? Because as someone who plays both sides pretty equally if not a little more killer lately, I find the perk to be at the perfect state, doesn't need a buff, doesn't need a nerf. Simply if you are chased within 60 seconds of being unhooked and then downed and picked up, you stun the killer and escape and this is only active if you don't progress the game essentially, you can't heal, unhook, do gens, boon and cleanse totems. It really is just an anti-tunnel perk, if you don't go for them you have nothing to worry about or if you do, you don't mind getting a little stun before continuing on so they can't use it later.
Ds is kinda just a necessity in all survivor builds so I always expect it and also always use it.
Dead hard, I can see why people complain, ds I don't.
Upset? Not really. But I also believe it is the best survivor perk in the game. People in this community severely underrate win conditions. It makes sense, it is a party game and not a competitive one. But from a strictly competitive mindset; the one that provides a free escape is a lot better than the stupid dab.
-
I feel they should drop the other 3 and just give us Susie lore exclusively. I mean, they can be there in the background, of course, as good supporting characters.

Homie is seriously leaking our next licensed chapter after Project W? How many leaks are we going to get? We just need the full 2023-2024 schedule now.

That makes a lot more sense.
-
I already run off meta. So nothing would change for me. If anything, it scares me as a lot of survivor perks are busted, but nobody runs them because stacked second chances are inherently superior. I do not want to see any shadow step, dance with me, or that stupid Yoichi perk. It sends shivers down my spine and I would prefer playing against meta.
-
No, those are good manners. I admit, whenever gens are done in 5 minutes and they are gone, I wonder why they feel compelled to go out of their way to send me a gg. I am console, so they actively send me a message as opposed to end game chat. But I never really get offended and just return the favor with a "gg, you played really well." Most of them end up being polite and my initial skepticism is never confirmed. You know why? Because toxic players do not bother with gg. They just get straight to the point.
-
That sounds broken. He actually had that? And pinky finger? And people called him the worst killer in the game. Unbelievable.
I mean, maybe now after they gutted those. Ha ha ha.

I honestly wonder how Nurse would perform if she was 4.4 m/s but only had one blink.
All of a sudden I would be capable of playing her against decent survivors. Lol. So, yeah, it would be a pretty massive performance jump at the low end. Obviously I imagine quite a hit at high mmr. Balance.

they do not all spew blood by base, just on the off chance there may be someone on the gen they're faking they can push them off to scare em and waste a couple seconds.
Oh, wait, seriously? That is an add on? I rarely play against him, but the one time I did, I was impressed that it applied to all gens because I thought it only applied to one. I guess I need to reunlearn that. Lol.

I never noticed if it does or not... If it does, it is purely visual. It goes where you release it.

@Huge_Bush said:
Yes, it rewards the killer by punishing the survivors failure to cleanse totems.
If the killer was bad, the survivors should have no problem cleansing totems.
If the killer was applying enough pressure to prevent totems from being cleansed, then they earned it.
How do you cleanse a totem that was blessed by a teammate, huh, Mr. Killer? It is simply impossible. Zero counterplay.
All the killer needs do is snuff the totem at last gen and then guard it. These are very high mmr tactics.
-
@Aurelle said:
Ok, then there should be punishment for camping also. Body blocking is fine and is a legit strategy, and one of the few counters to camping/tunneling/etc.
Huh? How does bodyblocking counter camping? Do you mean when there are like three of them trying for an endgame unhook? You hardly need that. A bit overkill, but I guess if no one has borrowed... If anything, bodyblocking makes face camping way easier.

That's because DBD is def a different game...
Ok you can have 500 hours experience. Let's for the sake of it say it's all survivor...I'd venture a small fragment of that is spent being chased and learning how to loop...Then trying to loop killers who actually know what they're doing. Learning that maps that change every game due to RNG
On the flip side. Your 500 hours can be split between killer and survivor....And then it gets cut even more when you spend 300 on nurse..Then try to play blight. Then try to play Nemmy. All killers who function differently at different tiles.
Eh... DBD does not have that much depth, fam. I got to a proficient level in this game (as killer) far more quickly than any other pvp game I have played. And I play a lot of pvp games.
Not going to lie, you might have a point with survivor. It is extremely hard to learn that role in my humble opinion, and even harder to get good at it, and then the patience you need to not ######### on hook once you realize what your team is doing. I unironically have nothing but respect for good survivors.

No Way Out is more reliable and more satisfying imo
And if you’re a solo survivor NOED is no joke, but if you want you could equip anti-totem perks
also two posts today stop spoiling us Sluzzy
No Way Out actually requires skill from the killer to not tunnel, so of course no self respecting survivor would complain about it. I wish the NOED abusers would get a hook before 5 gens pop. If only!

I started out as a killer main, but I became more and more stressed about it, and now only really play killer to do rift challenges. Every time, before I switch over to killer, I brace myself like it's going to be an ordeal -- I don't look forward to it at all.
For me, the social aspect was definitely the main part of it. It really bothered me to feel like people were ganging up to bully me or like I was being ostracized or shamed for no reason except trying to play a video game. My experience has been a lot better since the new MMR but I still have this feeling like, "Oh, man. Is this match going to be normal, or is it going to be horrible?" every time I load into a killer game.
That is how us versus them works, I suppose. My sister was harassed by killer mains for making fun of a toxic killer for generalizing all survivors as those weird rulebook thumping types and they took that to mean that she was a survivor player. And they act just the same as those generic bully survivors do. It is just you only ever see one of them in the game.

You do not understand. The killer is toying with us. He ALLOWS us to do generators just to give us a false sense of security and let the perk carry them to further humiliate us.

So there's the question and I've been noticing killers never gives hatch well maybe once in 3 months so why? I give it at least half of the times I could 4K. 3K is for me more than enough. Mostly I don't give it when I do rift or adept challenges or if killers don't give it to me so Im more cruel then. But never I close hatch in front of someone I think that's just over limit of toxicity. Lowest kind of people are those who carry survivor to hatch but then close it and they leave survivor usually on the ground to bleed out.
Well, I only drop them near hatch and close it when they are "toxic." Whatever, you know what I mean, when they act like clowns. I have no problem giving hatch unless I am on a challenge that requires killing. Blame Behavior. That ain't my b, cuh.

I would bet on a nerf that everyone calls a buff because it aids some niche element of him that nobody uses him for. Pretty safe wager because I am not a betting man.

It is super common in my games, but yeah, it doesn't bother me, really. Thankfully. I probably wouldn't play this game if it did... Because it happens a LOT when I am not on my precious boy.
-
Nemesis is fine. The only reason he hasn't been nerfed yet is specifically because of this interaction. That is extremely good, he can fly under the radar by players who do not want that drawback despite how ludicrously powerful he is (relative to other killers, anyway).
-
I do not feel bad that they are the power role. Instead, I genuinely feel bad for all the survivor fodder that is forced to endure this role discrepancy.

@drsoontm said:
This situation feels worse when you are a survivor going against a beginner killer than the other way around.
When you are going against inexperienced survivors, you usually notice it easily and can control the flow of the match to make something of it (purposefully ignoring fatal mistakes, feigning to not see someone, going to look on the other side of of the map to watch grass grow, ...) and, ideally, you can finally decide the three survivors to kill.
When you are going against an inexperienced killer, it's not so easy to notice and even if, there isn't much you can do. At best you can finish the gens and leave, at worst, anything you do short of letting him hook you will look like bullying. And you cannot let him hook you (and potentially kill you) or your MMR will drop.
Exactly, even inexperienced killers can seem the same as brutal top mmr killers to a survivor because of how killer sided the game is. I am NOT trying to bully new players, but I cannot tell if they are new or not.
-
Artist is insanely broken, not only that, but she ruins the game for us survivor players who now have to commit to running in a straight line so that we do not get hit by crows. It is ridiculous.

But why? Pig have a lot of perks you want to use on every killer?
