I guess bloodpoint events are always like that because people believe you need to perform better to get more bloodpoints, even though, honestly, I feel that is pretty debatable given the caps.

Killer mains... Killer mains would play solo queue without friends. 😢

My first game of the Blood Hunt and I'm farming as Doctor. Do the usual to let the survivors know I'm just playing chill and farming. Some don't get it or don't care which is fine. I hook them for my BBQ stacks and let them go. Open my messages and it's "Thanks for the bp gay noob" lmfao. And I'm very serious. Eh, it is what it is.
That is called a Tsundere. They make for great waifus. I am really jealous you found a survivor like that. I want one.

Easy, I'm competitive by nature and the thing that frustrates me the most in games is feeling like my skill level didn't matter (the deck was stacked against me too much so I was screwed no matter what).
Fair or not, this game is the damn definition of "sucks to be you" where there are times your skill didn't matter and you got screwed. It also doesn't help how many just ######### peeps gravitate towards this game and take every opportunity to rub it in your face how you got screwed and it's easy to see why people get frustrated playing it.
I'm happy for you if you are fine and don't get emotional when these things pop up but some of us like me are dum and let this ish get to us far more than it should :D
Believe me, if I could just flip a switch and not care, I'd do it in a damn heartbeat.
...I should quit this game :D
I did not mean it as an insult. I personally feel really bad about some of it because I do not feel people should be put down over this. It makes me really mad when I see streamers making fun of people or sending people over to harass players because they were tilted by the game itself and attribute that to the other player, or as you said, the players who deliberately use the game as a tool for their toxicity.
It is not as though I have a switch that I can just turn off. It took me a bit of practice and a pinch of narcissism. Part of it is trying to recognize what the issue is. Sometimes it is map or game mechanics, other times it is that the other player is really good, and at times, I am the one messing up.
I feel sometimes people do not make that distinction and always feel it is their fault. Or always blame the game. Or always get mad at their opponent. There is a lot of nuance to it as well. Which can often make it difficult to self reflect in the heat of the moment when you are busy trying to play.
The weird kicker is once the match is over, and there are no distractions, people tend to latch onto those frustrations without revisiting them. That is not healthy per se, but if it ended there, it would probably be for the better as they feel a compulsion to drag others down with them. Blame their teammates, berate the killer, have a fit with their keyboard. Whatever the case, they make their venting public and contributes to the cesspool.
I digress, I am really surprised to hear you struggle with this Tippy. I have always considered you to be a beacon of positivity and perhaps the most kind member of the community. If it reaches you... I guess it could happen to anyone.

You'd be surprised, I've heard people for mic crying and/or screaming after a loss.
It is not THAT surprising given the messages I receive post game. But I still just cannot get into the mindset. I play competitive games relatively casual myself, but I can observe what causes it and whatnot. I actually did an academic paper on it as well with a lot of research to the point where I am even MORE confused why this effect persists with DBD.
Obviously the only explanation is that the player itself perceives it to be competitive. But where I am lost is: HOW? With all the RNG, I just... I have said it before, and I will say it again, I have had a more balanced experience playing Mario Party. The things that happen in this game are more likely to put me into a fit of laughter as opposed to rage.
-
Absolutely not. Swfs are the most fun punching bags.
-
I more or less agree, but I really do not see how a party game could have that effect on anyone. This is more relevant for competitive games with "stakes."

"They look like Horror Characters"... Are you my grandma?
I am also not really sure if Slipknot are even interested to appear as Killers in a videogame, considering the band has some history with accusations that their music was a (or the) reason for some shootings which happened in the past.
Huh? One of them is a tengu and another is a killer clown. That is pretty horror. I think maybe you are confusing horror with horrific or something, he is not literally scared or he does not literally believe they are killers which seems to be your concern with the last paragraph lol... talk about Grandmas.
Myers is a horror icon, and yeah... It is just William Shatner's face. Pretty much every Slipknot mask is a little more embellished. Hope that makes things a little more clear for you, Aven.

Survivor behavior in general. Not going to lie, half the reason I play is just because I want to see what crazy antics they get up to.

They did try it, a couple years ago. And Huntress was literally unplayable for a month until they reverted it. Survivor hitboxes are so bad and BHVR's netcode was so jank that hatchets just...stopped working. Survivors would be animation locked and hatchets would just fly thru people.
Well, surely there is a middle ground between hatchets flying through people and hatchets hitting survivors 3 meters away?
I do not really care too much either way. You learn how to play around the projectile as is. Whether killer or survivor. I just feel that perhaps a compromise is possible.
-
And they eat a 5 minute penalty (probably more than that given their habit) like a pampers model. I would say that you walked away with the bigger win and you didn't even need to exert any effort on your part to achieve it.
-
No idea why they ruined boil over just because of console, but then leave Trickster as he is. Signature inconsistency, I suppose.

currently iri head is still strong but not broken as it used to be , and the 115% movement iri addon is Ok not insanely good but not bad either.
Yeah, this sounds like it would be a relatively healthy change both ways... which is why it would literally never happen.

If your own friend is trying to tell you that you are being toxic, it is probably worth listening to. Most "friends" are sycophants, or not friends at all.
It would probably be a good idea to inner reflect instead of deflecting.

I love how everyone instantly labels you as one side or the other on these lovely forums.
I, personally, do not care if you play killer, survivor, or both. Anyone that believes the game is killer sided is a survivor main by my definition. It is the only way anyone would come to such a conclusion despite evidence to the contrary, after all.

"This is why I get really iffy when people say the game is one sided, it can be depending on how far you're willing to practice and go full nuclear." Please read the entire post before you comment, the game is unbalanced and it's up to whoever is lamer to tilt the game in their favor.
In other words, you agree with me with exception to Nurse and Blight? I will take that. It makes you one of the most reasonable survivor mains I have spoken to despite the fact that you feel some compulsion to question my reading comprehension just because I disagree with you. Ha ha ha... The state of things.
-
Eh. Close enough. Realistically, what makes the game killer sided in practice is that most survivors are throwing for one reason or another. Most are valid, even. Archive challenges, bored of gen rushing, they care more about getting a teammate out than getting themselves out. Add in some salty survivors rage quitting and the game is, as the kids say, ez mode.
That being said, game design wise, you might be on some blighted serum if you think it is literally killer sided.

You said three were slugged. There is no reason to do this at all other than being greedy and relying on a game flaw that caters towards you.
It is not really a flaw as long as unbreakable exists. 3 man slug means survivors messed up BAD. It only "caters to killers" because you managed to get a lobby of potatoes.
-
If you thought she was strong before, she still is. But realistically she was never actually that good to begin with. Yes, yes, I know, survivors walked into her and now they do not. That is about the only difference.

Doubt it, they already ruined it. It would be weird to fix it after they went out of their way to replace it.

Pretty sure COH got nerfed to 50% which is the same as Self Care. On top of the time it takes to find and bless a totem, self-care is just a better option. Especially in solo.
Nah, Circle of Healing is objectively better. Self Care is just more reliable.

Will these changes address why everyone is using gen slowdown perks to prevent gen rushing or it's just to punish killers ? if DS , DH , BT are becoming lowkey basekit ( aka new solutions ) I hope as equally perk killers will have basekit alternatives too.
To be honest, second chances basekit versus regression base kit would HEAVILY favor survivors. So, I guess it could totally happen.
I would hope their solution is not that simplistic and shortsighted, however. That would be tragic.

@MrMori said:
With the Mori rework, most people are assuming it's not just a scenario that happens when there is one survivor alive, but rather the moment the last survivor that isn't hooked or downed gets downed. After that they will be Mori'd and the game ends. That's just an assumption, but it seems to be what most think after reading the blog post.
I like this idea a lot, but I feel like this Mori should not happen if there are second chance perks in play that could bring the game back, not counting self unhooks. So the following:
- Unbreakable
- Active Soul Guard
- No Mither
- Boon: Exponential placed on the map
- Decisive Strike
- Deliverance
Anything I'm missing?
Either way, I know this is a buff to slugging for hatch, but let's be real, if you slug the last two players and neither have unbreakable or deliverance the game really is over. Sure you can't down them and carry them to hatch anymore, but so what? I'd rather have the final part of the game cut down drastically. Think of all the time that will be saved! Think of all the times you'd get bled out by salty killers, this will no longer be possible. This means more time playing the game and less time walking around the map, picking up survivors and then standing in front of them to endure they don't get a 4%. It also means faster queue times as matches will last shorter on average.
Now all we need is to give killers the option to surrender somehow after 5 gens are done, and the biggest time waster from survivors, waiting at gates would be fixed. Of course you could always just force them out, but I like a surrender option more. Having the last 2 survivors hide for 20 minutes is also a problem, but that only happens with 2 players, and usually you can catch one of them and make hatch spawn.
Nah, it will counter second chance perks. Careful what you wish for, I guess. You wanted faster games, this is faster games, bro.

I thought this was a real thread, couldn't believe why someone would be mad at counterplay at first.

I kinda feel that I should point out that while it's true that survivors need to step on the trails of their own volition, this does not mean the killer has no control over it, or at the very least, that it cannot take advantage of its use.
I main pyhead and I can separate survivors into 2 categories, based on how they behave when you use your trails on the loop they are using: those who will step on your trails and those who would rather get hit to avoid them. Either way, you profit.
Or you can just drop them on it.

Same... But I do that a lot. His daily is rigged or something and there are a lot of Wraith friendly challenges in the rift. I play him so much despite the fact that I do not really enjoy him that much. Wasted slot in Hooked on You, if you ask me.

Leatherface is too easy an answer. What about, AFK Pig? Has anyone using up their add ons before the nerf noticed that survivors get REALLY mad at AFK Pig. Like, I face camp, tunnel, slug, bleed them out, beat on hook... Anything goes. But I am getting some REALLY mean survivors on my AFK Pig journey. I can't believe I am saying that I am not used to this level of toxicity as, well, I get a lot of it as is.
Anyways, I digress, I will forever be an AFK Pig main until next update.

I am American, I sometimes forget that there are other countries and whatnot, you must forgive me. I only know two Russian words and both of them are naughty no no words. But I imagine I would be able to understand the Russian survivors despite that fact. Not to brag or anything.

Thanks for your comment. I fixed some of my math.
It seems that this change reduces the growth of the grind per new killer but forces players to grind all killers instead of just killers they want to play. I.E. if I only play Bubba with the tierless system I would have to grind SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than the prestige system, but if I play ALL killers equally then the grind is significantly higher.
Would you agree?
It kind of depends on your intent. For me, I am going to p1 everyone once the update drops and my grind will literally be finished, more or less. I am ready for the update now. I can just use whatever I earn to pour into new killers to unlock every tier 3 perk the old fashioned way, but there is no rush as I will already have access to the perks that made me want to invest in the killer to begin with.
-
Is this list upside down or something?

I am one of the three console players. And yes, you should probably dodge if you know what is good for you.

Now that I'm sort of addicted to changing my killer after every match, I've realized that some just get...lost in the shuffle. Or ignored for other reasons.
Plague - I have no idea why, because I love playing as her. But I seldom go 'oh, know what I feel like next? Some Plague!'.
Onryo - Now that people know how to handle her, she's become - in my opinion - among the weakest killers in the game. Her big problem is lacking a 'pivot point' - something you can potentially do to snowball. Honestly, I'd prefer to play on Pig.
Oni and Billy - The only two killers left that I'm not at least somewhat confident on. Both put me off for different reasons, but I'll likely never love playing Billy. Oni...I'll start learning soon.
Clown - I don't mind his mechanics, I just loathe his visual and audio design. He's more 'murder hobo' than 'scary clown'.
Bubba - He's...often rather sad to play if you actively avoid camping like I do, and his audio is awful. He sounds more like a pig than Pig.
Well, as a Roadhog one trick, I feel the pig noises are a plus. But I respect your bad opinion.
I guess I avoid Oni because that poor guy still has yet to be purchased. I bought Kate and Yun Jin before I bought him. In all fairness, one was after they gave us Bubba shards and the other was discounted... But you have to admit, buying a survivor over a killer is probably the biggest disrespect imaginable. And as I approach 9k again... These are for Dredge.
Sorry, Oni. Its not you, its me.

The difference is that in the case of the Killer that is his actual objective. It is job to secure that kill. This isn't some jerk spawncamping instead of doing an objective somewhere else.
And the "not fun" argument doesn't seem to apply when I'm getting chain blinded or kick 17 pallets in a single game. Every game is going to have things the other side does you don't like. That is inevitable in a competitive game.
People who believe they are too good for our lord and savior, Lightborn deserve to get chain blinded. Once they become enlightened, they will be protected from this shameful disgrace.
-
Evil Dead actually deserves a chapter. So while it is technically not a part 2, we REALLY need to revisit that. After the Evil Dead game dies in a month, anyway, I can see why they wouldn't be interested at the moment.
-
Are you sure you are not the one disconnecting? My internet was acting weird recently and the results screen would pretend the killer or another survivor disconnected, but I am quite certain the issue was on my end... Mostly because my sister was still in game with them. Ha ha ha. Made it pretty obvious.

@Carrow said:
It's so funny to me that the same folks who thought the original COH was fine, that the initial buff to Boil Over was fine, are now going to overhaul the basic gameplay in an attempt to make tunneling, camping, genrushing less attractive AND change 40 perks all at the same time in accordance with that, and people are taking for granted that this is somehow going to be an improvement. This is BHVR we are talking about, either the changes are so minuscule it will literally change nothing or the whole balance (I know, I know) of the game will go out the window even harder than before. When Sprint Burst has a 20 second cooldown and Jolt regresses every gen to 0% on each basic hit, I can't wait to see the complaining.
I am not taking it for granted. I am praying 🙏
There is a difference. Hope is not confidence, lol.
-
Wow... I am surprised most everyone here knows what's up. I guess I will be a parrot and say there aren't any dedicated Pyramid Head one tricks and the reason is obvious. You just have to hope someone requests him to a variety streamer and then watch them ignore all his unique mechanics. Pog.
-
I like all of Kate's perks... They woo me.
But yeah, I wouldn't buy Laurie with the Anniversary Shrine update upcoming. Just grab DS from the shop. She ain't worth 5 dollars.
-
I do not run meta, and I do not care if other people do. My only pet peeve are those DS apologists pretending the perk is useless just because it was nerfed once. It was nerfed BEFORE my time and they are STILL on about it. I respect their commitment, at least.

@GoshJosh said:
It does nothing to help the grind for those that need it the most: new players. And for that they should be ashamed.
All it does is lower the grind time and cost for someone already committed to grinding just because anyway.
It is probably going to be worse given they are, for whatever reason, going to nerf Barbecue. New players are going to have quite the grind ahead of them for Wesker.
