Survivor mains act like they are not toxicity incarnate until you recommend voice chat, a feature that would solely benefit them, and out of nowhere, they all of a sudden know what you are talking about and want nothing to do with other survivor mains.
I hardly blame them. But it is always funny to read them inadvertently admit that it would be a deal breaker even with mute options. Lol.
-
I doubt it given the developer recommends to prestige killers that have just reached 50. If it did it automatically, they would probably just warn us to not prestige until the update.

Feel free to call out people by name instead of generalizing all anti-DH players as hypocrites.
How many people do you expect him to call out? Does he need to make a word document so he can copy paste dozens of names every time he wants to talk about the anti-dead hard crowd? Ha ha ha...
-
I just give hatch to whoever. Even the toxic ones. If I want to give hatch, I will. Or if I am forced to. Like AFK Pig games. I respect the rules. They get hatch if their team knows the counterplay... And sadly, unlike the forums, I only run into survivors who actually know the counterplay. Not that it takes much to figure it out. But I guess the mmr system works! Big shock.
-
Your dream is my dream, fam. Or a real Evil Dead chapter. Either/or.
-
The bad ones that nobody use... So, basically all of them?
-
They need to rework the medal system for so many reasons. It is SO bad and I wonder why people preferred matchmaking based on those arbitrary values over actual mmr. I mean, I know the actual answer. But still, I am surprised they hate getting crushed that much that they want killer and survivor cooperation to be how people are matched. Lol.
Des-per-a-tion!

My experience with NOED as killer that it will guarantee you sometimes 1 down 1 hook late game so basically if you already did good you won't need it but if you have 3 or 4 survivors left it's useless because they will quickly find the boon and they will come for the unhook usually it's 50% 50% then either they all escape or you can get someone else instead.
As a survivor playing soloQ it's usually not pleasant because you can't trust anyone I can't count how many times I get left hooked while everyone escaped after I saved them or distracted the killer so searching the whole map for it is not worth it because other survivors will escape the exit gates as soon as they see NOED activated so killer got that kill but everyone escaped they won't even try to rescue.
Well, you are complicating the issue a bit. NOED'S value doesn't depend on how well you did. It depends on two factors. The hook state of the survivor you down, and the spawn location of the totem. It can be infinitely helpful to secure a kill, set up a snowball OR completely useless to a beginner who struggled even if they already got a survivor or two.
That being said, a guranteed down and late game pressure is more than what basically any killer perk offers. It is very good for that alone.
-
Bill counters killers who camp and killers who slug and killers who are your teammates. Very pog spread.
-
I assume if you already have it equipped and decided to highlight a killer or survivor exclusive challenge that the multi challenge would move to the opposite area. And if you had another multi challenge, it would overwrite the specific challenge. That would be a relatively simple way to implement it.
-
They did not mention that they would remove the bloody cosmetics.
-
As long as it has no viable competition, people will play DbD. The Project W chapter will bring plenty of people back. I am going to be real, I am not even sure this anniversary puts us in the green, but it does not have to because we have lots of improvements coming after that. Kind of weird they didn't time the update properly, but what's new?
-
My fingers are just built different. I can easily open bloodwebs all day effortlessly.
The point is to establish a skill gap.
-
She is our first cute killer. That's a win in my book.
-
Borrowed Time is becoming base kit. So, technically it is a slight nerf to tunneling. It all depends on how they rework these perks. I doubt they will go too crazy to be honest. It should be fine.
-
Lightborn, people think facing a wall prevents ear blinds for whatever reason, but it does not. They also believing self consciously hovering around someone they want to pick up is efficient because that survivor that was never going to do a gen is not doing a gen. They are, of course, wrong.
-
That would make it a lot stronger, in my opinion...
-
Hitting a survivor on hook? Or do you mean a slower bleed out time? I am confused by what the problem is.

Ok calm down I'm just asking a question
Ok calm down I'm just answering a question

I think survivors will pretend he does, just as they have done with Artist.
-
No offense intended, but you do not need perks on any killer if you are at a level where you 3 to 4k them consistently. In fact, you could afk for 30 seconds and still do it. Lol.
-
That is great and all, but I am not sure how far empathy will get you. Some people just cannot be reasoned with. People unironically believe the game is killer sided because survivors throw games. How anyone can have empathy for people with that logic is beyond my compassion. It is so nonsensical that it makes me want to face camp myself to death, just to spare me from a little bit of cringe.
-
Why would they address such skillful play? Face camping is here to stay so killers can express themselves.
-
The worst is Midwich, but that map is survivor sided regardless. The only map that was genuinely killer sided was the map they refused to reskin (surprise, surprise).
-
Sadako is my only p3. And my only prestige in general. I just wanted to p3 her day 1 to flex (and wrap up those achievments). Heck, once the new system comes in, I doubt I prestige anyone but Bubba or Wesker depending on if Wesker is as "op" as Dredge.
-
Absolutely. If you do not gen rush and they are running triple or quadruple regression, you are going to have a bad time.
-
Yes, there literally is. Maybe not if they are caught in less than a minute, I suppose. But, like, what more do you want?

While yes, its always worrying when survivor don´t complain about a new killer. But we´ll see.
I am actually surprised. Especially with Dowsey claiming she is 10x better than Sadako who he placed at A tier for whatever warped reason. Hypothetically this should make her above Nurse with the Artist. I am surprised survivors aren't up in arms about this travesty.
-
I am actually not sure, I rewatched the anniversary stream to see if they mentioned cakes... But they didn't. Despite listing off so many other details.
I would assume the cake is a given, but it might just be a bloodhunt this time around. No kap.
-
Nemesis is much better than Doctor or Legion. Those suggestions are hella outdated. Just trust in the Bodhisattva.
-
My dream meta this summer is playing Wesker. I bet I can predict his perks too.
Hex: Why Run This
Circumstantial Utility
Worse Version of a Preexisting Perk

According to MandyTalk, there will be some base game changes along with the perk changes that addresses why the current meta perks are used so much. Therefore even if some perks like ds and bt get changed, in theory the new base game mechanics should help balance it out as well.
I am not sure I trust them to balance the perks. I am sure changes will be made, but I am also certain they will not be the correct ones.
-
Yes, survivor players do generally make the killer experience much easier than the other way around.

There is so much going on with the game at the moment. I've noticed in some recent matches the hatch barely makes any noise anymore whilst open even when right next to it.
The clowns bottles can be heard all over the map by contrast.
Yesterday I had a match against a Pinhead whose chain hunt carried on after the box had been solved, later on didn't work despite the chain hunt being visibly active on the screen and when it did kick back in again it was way faster than normal to point of not being able to break all chains before more attached.
Stopping healing people makes a noise as if you've missed a skill check even when you haven't (I don't know if this is part of a recent rework though)
The most egregious one I noticed is that you now have to be within 5 to 10 meters to see if a gen was tapped as the sparks are barely visible.
-
Survivors gonna survive... By any means necessary. You didn't kill them if they DC. Or at least that is what they believe.

Dunno, when I read this forum, the game is broken because the survivor is too powerfull ...
According to people who actually know what they are talking about. But trust me, there are plenty of people who oppose it. Just as there are plenty of people like Amber Heard who will lie under oath without any shame. They exist, and why? Nobody knows.

It is meta defining. It's one of the most used perks, making it by definition a meta perk. If you want to change the meta, you have to change the meta perks, even the ones that aren't actually causing any problems on their own.
But like I said, if I were them I wouldn't bother changing it beyond just taking the extra BP off it and making that basekit. That seems like the most logical choice to me, and I'm sure that's at least been discussed at BHVR.
No. Barbecue does not define the meta. Maybe it defines the BP farm meta, but that is not the meta of the game. I guess from a certain point of view, lol.
The problem with nerfing off meta perks that have high pickrates is that you would REINFORCE the actual meta. It makes the problem objectively worse.

That looks pretty similar to what I'd say my spread of game results would look too, if I was to let folks go when their heads didn't pop.
Typically AFK pig nets you 1 kill at best and then you sweat to get the last 3k in the endgame. If you get that kill with 1-2 gens still up which can happen, but not often, then its far less of a sweat to get the rest of the kills.
The majority of AFK pig kills come from chases in the endgame and frankly NOED, much like the rest of DBD games. So when you take that into account I never really saw what was wrong with it beyond usually one person gets the shaft by being unable to get the hat off (This can also be played around by coordinated teams, I've done it and had it done to me more than once).
I'd say yet again we have a very vocal crowd of players who want the game to play out in only one particular way and now that we have the pig changes they can get that again.
At least until the next funny lil quirk build that throws the rulebook out the window comes along. Then all the sore losers who can't stand dying in a computer game act will like its the end of the world again. Even though you see it once in a blue moon, as its not very efficient, and it doesn't really matter anyway because its only a game.
The real issue is there is only one reliable way to get a head pop now, and I am sure survivors will dislike it all the same.
-
@I_CAME said:
Or they could just make the bp gains from bbq and wglf basekit. It's kind of silly that we have to run a perk to get more bps.
That would STILL make BBQ another useless perk in an ocean of worthless perks.
-
It worked for me. But I also ran 3 exposed perks. Maybe Evil Within is what is bugged?

Some of those hitboxes are ridiculous. He is harder to play than most people admit solely because you need to know where all the protruding obstacles are. Lol.
-
Okay, so my main issue with this chapter is they set up this song and dance about shifting the meta, 40 perks will be reworked because they care, or whatever. But one look at these 6 perks contradicts that sentiment, I knew not to trust them; the only silver lining is that Wesker will have all perks for free once he launches so worthless perks do not trigger me as much as they did.
You know what does, however? Dredge. Just because he has some minor, counterable anti loop with map mobility, he is magically better than 75% of the killers in the game. That just bothers me. This guy is already getting prenerfed heavily to the point where they are pretending they cannot code a brightness setting without it bugging out. He is probably going to be the Artist 2.0 where everyone cries about him but nobody plays him.
-
A definition does not matter, survivors will claim they were tunneled regardless and killers will claim they didn't tunnel. Really strange mental dissonance as apparently no one wants to take personal responsibility for their actions. Who could have guessed?

But seriously guys you seem to think this offended people. 1 toxic comment. 25 new followers. Lots of happy interested people.
They are just projecting, probably a victim of getting outplayed so hard, I wouldn't take their salt seriously.

Why ? Again I am a killer main and I don't see any problem with that if they nerf others perks to compensate. For exemple, Iron will not removing all sounds going from 100% to 75%. Dead hard being rework, ect...
Well, yeah, because nerfing good perks would help killers more than base kit BT would hurt them, obviously.
Albeit, I think the basekit BT that is coming will be fine even without compensation nerfs. If anything, it will reduce the temptation to BT check and consistency will be rewarded.
-
Nice try, fam.
In all honesty, I have no idea why they completely disabled Haddonfield. But I doubt they disable RPD. Albeit, they aren't against it. That map is like the reigning champ for most time disabled. Either that or Dead Dawg. Not sure.
-
Nah. I am more concerned that they will mess up Wesker. I do not care about whatever people think the meta is. People have a very warped perception of viability in this game, in my opinion.
-
I feel the same way... About survivor. Which is why I play killer.
Maybe you should play survivor instead if killer makes you feel the way survivor makes me feel.

It is an interesting choice to say the least. I assume they went with forcing the animation so the killer wouldn't bleed you for 3 and half mins before killing but idk. Is the sixteen seconds to hook and sacrifice the last guy really that tedious? I'd prefer the choice. I like letting people go.
It would be easier to just let the survivor commit sudoku if they desire as they can on hook. Taking away the agency of the killer when so many people are already frustrated at the role for that reason is pretty detached.
