I play solo so I completely get it. It sucks but I get it
BHVR has given them zero incentive to stay. They can either hang there for the two minutes twiddling their thumbs and not playing in order to potentially help three complete strangers they'll (probably) never see again get a few points (since you're not getting a ton of points in a camping game anyway) or they can just cut their loss and jump back into a better game.
I really wish BHVR would give you SOMETHING in terms of points when you're being camped like that. Give people a reason to stick around and maybe some of them actually will...
I have to be honest... Where the heck are you guys getting all these survivors who leave? My victims make me stay and watch them die.

Bring all the busted add-ons friend, there's no shame in using iri head, recharge/range on nurse, pinky finger, engineer's fang, just do what you gotta do to have fun.
Having fun is hoarding... I can't bring myself to waste them. I am the type of person to play RPG without any healing items "just in case I need them later" only to keep saving them against the final boss. It is definitely a problem.
-
Hopefully the anniversary hands out some shards. They did that last year, so luckily I got my first new killer very quickly. 56 hours is stupid. Even right now I am struggling to scrounge up the 9k just in case the leaks are true.
-
I actually agree with your idea, they should delete the fake Legion impostors and just rename the killer Susie to avoid confusion.
-
Scooby-Doo is the way. We could have the entire gang, and a map, and a killer. Would be poggy doggy, am I right?
Other than that, we need Friday the 13th to save this game from an early grave and Five Nights to piss off... Well, everyone besides Five Nights fans.
-
Hot take, aura reading perks are already pretty useless to begin with. As are 90% of the perks in the game. Maybe just rebalancing perks would go a longer way than change for the sake of change.

Because you are more emotionally invested in it?

Jason Voorhees. I suppose any licensed killer would be exciting, but we "need" Jason.
-
I more or less agree, however, shaming people who want to play by the survivor rulebook is obviously a contradiction and highly unnecessary.

I've gotten crows from hiding from a killer in a locker in a normal chase. It's only like 30 seconds or something like that.
That is part of the reason it is so bad. It activates when it shouldn't and does absolutely nothing to stop them from taking the game hostage in a 2v1. Dreadful.
-
Big surprise, but the game is basically not even a competitor to DBD. I wasn't expecting much, but I didn't expect it to feel like that big of a cash grab.
-
Mmr just doesn't work in a game that is not properly balanced. The game is heavily killer sided early on and obscenely survivor sided later on. It doesn't matter if the games are balanced via mmr as it will never be fair depending on the role you chose relative to rank.
I am not saying to get rid of it. I am just telling it like it is. The game worked better with all kinds of skill levels because you would rarely run into 4 high level survivors outside of swf which is why people STILL hate them even though in a post mmr world, the difference is negligible.
-
@gendoss said:
Yeah I think the crows spawn too quickly. I don't like them in general.
Too quickly? What in the world? That is a VERY interesting opinion. Personally I feel the afk crows are more or less the worst afk system I have personally seen in any multi-player game. I rarely complain about much, but this is one of those common sense problems with the game if you ask me.
-
Back on the menu? Was this a bug before? If so... Well, yeah, I guess they didn't fix it. Wouldn't be the first time.
-
They do not want us to max the new killer in one day. That is pretty much it. You have to save up hella codes and tome challenges as well as time a grade reset and very likely waste more than you saved.
-
@savevatznick said:
If all survivors were good at the game, the game would be unplayable.
Fortunately, there are not many good survivors.
This man is very wise. First time I have seen someone else who shared this extremely rare common sense sentiment with me.
-
Probably to throw the game, I imagine. Not EVERYONE is trying their best to win, in case that was not plainly obvious given how many people are at a rank where they genuinely believe the game is killer sided. No offense to anyone who enjoys eccentric strategies such as this one.
-
Survivor players would never do that. They are very respectful members of this community and I resent the fact that you would suggest otherwise. I have you know that is against the forum rules.
I digress, I suggest that you camp and tunnel from the start. Do not even bother giving them a chance.
-
Leatherface is one of the best killers in the game. But people here think Sadako is strong and that Artist is better than Nurse or that Pinhead is top tier. Best not to take their opinions too seriously.
-
A licensed killer... I kind of want to be excited, but the only thing exciting about the leak is that the next killer would be licensed. Ayy!

Thank you. Every time I see this posted people go "BUT WOW IT SLAPS IT GOES SO HARD"
Which yeah, it does. But I would really rather hear the game and what survivors are doing. I'm not listening to Spotify, I'm trying to kill folks.
If they made it a setting, that would be great. I care more about the music than hearing their moans. If anything, it is not loud enough.
-
If you want to make survivors happy, Hillbilly is the only one universally loved, cuh. Get to learning those curves and I will send you a copy of the rulebook so you do not mess up.

Yes, and mine too. Now it is less racist which is good. People now know I am face camping them just because I do not like them and not because I am racist, hurray!

He plays himself kind of, his box gives him super free slowdown which is enough to win against most teams even without trying unless they're all top 10% of players. He's like old Freddy
Um... You do not need to be a top 10% player to play around lament configuration. I admit he plays himself at very low levels. But you are not top 10% if you are getting crushed by an m1 with a secondary objective. What's next? Pig requires you to be a top 10% player to beat? Lol.
-
To be fair, it takes a lot less time if you play killer. I have no clue how much less time as I GRINDED archives and a lot of my early game was during Anniversary where I got mad cake, bruh. But 2600 is around how long I have played Overwatch over the course of nearly 6 years. That is absolutely absurd and shouldn't take nearly that long.

You have no way of knowing that.

What has lead you to the conclusion consoles are the smaller platform?
Consoles being larger or smaller is largely irrelevant. The fact is that the steam charts are a large enough sample size that we can more or less assume similar growth and decay on other platforms relative to their sizes. And that is what this topic is about, albeit, as someone else pointed out, it is quite disingenuous given the Anniversary has yet to happen.
-
Perhaps? I was once just chasing this guy refusing to down him because I was only interested in chase time and wanted the game to end relatively fast. After that, he started messaging me about how it was free content. He didn't have TTV in his name, so maybe it was a YouTube video? No clue.
-
I guess that tournament level players are just incompetent. I wish we all asked Sulaiman before jumping to conclusions about the game balance. Oops.

It's just visual bug. If you notice when someone reaches 2nd stage, when they are unhooked, sometimes its shows like they were hooked just once.
Yeah, but I can barely avoid tunneling WITH the UI. You know how many people I have accidentally killed since whenever this bug started? As if I know, the whole problem is that I am NOT keeping count. Ha ha ha...
-
Just hit them with a "you did really well for a beginner, but I think you should try to sabotage the hook so that I can't camp it next time, gg and gl in your next!"
-
To be fair, solo NOED is legitimately stronger than most 4 perk builds. No kap. I need my lord and savior, Lightborn. Praise the light, hallelujah! But yeah, that is my comfort pick. Far from necessary, just face a wall and get blinded anyways because you aren't protected by The One.
-
If you want the actual answer, and I hope I can say this without getting suspended... Bad parenting.
I am not saying members of this respectful community are anything but amazing. I do not even believe your OP. No one acts like that in game at all, least of all survivor mains. But, hypothetically, if they did, the answer to your question is that they never learned better.
-
I suppose we need to wait and see. The anniversary livestream should reveal what they are working on and what of that, will be coming in the actual chapter.

The map should've been a location from SH2-3, but no, instead we have a SH1 map, a SH2 killer, and a SH3 survivor.
That is actually a really nice spread if you think about it.
-
DBD hitboxes. Am I right, or am I right?
-
Um... It is another idea, I will give you that. I am not particularly fond of it and feel it might actually be worse than live.
-
Because killers have individual mmr...
-
If they care about survivor fun. That is the only reason not to. Oh, well, I guess if you have low self esteem and let other people influence your opinion. It is like those Hillbilly one tricks who refuse to run Bamboozle. Get lost in the sauce and believe they are inferior for using the perk. That is less a reason, and more a consequence, but still.
-
I would still face camp even if it gave the survivor more blood points, to be real with you. I am sorry you got the teammates you got, truly, I am. If it makes you feel any better, the ones who farm their homies are usually my next target as they demonstrated they are likely not a great player.

Most cases killers are maxed out on chase points and it doesn't really give you anything. More can often be earned by breaking stuff and spamming powers than going for that one hit.
Some people only do it so they can dead hard in your face out the door and deny you the hit, this happens often enough to make any real benevolence of offering up a free hit at the gate a waste of time for all and better to just leave than sit around waiting out the timer for nothing.
Its odd to me how angry people get about a 4 min bleed out timer yet are really happy to wait out the 3 min egc in its entirety every game just to button mash.
By all mean chase people out who cares if they are BM'ing but with basically every mechanic in this game perceived as malicious by the other side why bother even waiting to begin with, even to give hits.
It is all about agency, pseudechis. If you bleed them out, they move at, well... Slug speed and cannot perform any action outside of recovering. At the exit gates, they can do whatever they want.
As with all things in life, there are sweet survivors and there are sour survivors. I never get mad at the nice ones just because there are a lot of clowns. If they want to give me a hit, I take it, even if I am maxed on hit points, because it is the thought that counts.
-
I enjoy it because they need to more or less be perfect to down me compared to most other killers that will eventually catch you regardless of how well you do. Good Nurse are obviously slightly frustrating to play against as they are more consistent, but it always feels earned at least.

Picking up an item is worse than tbagging?
I do not care about either, myself. I am just saying, if instead of creating distance, a survivor decided to double back to grab the item I just knocked out of their hand, with a perk I purposely brought so that the item would stay on the ground, it is a little BM.
The message sent is, "I believe I can keep my item, invalidate your perk, AND get away with it." But for obvious reasons, they rarely do, in my experience. If I were, hypothetically offended by it, I might camp and tunnel them, smack them on hook, give 'em a little nod. Why not?
If I am being perfectly honest, I do tunnel them, not necessarily because I want to, but because I get a secondary objective to make sure their item stays on the ground and they are persistent, mang. You leave them for one second, and it's gone! Genuinely impressive stuff. So you need to stay on them... To get Franklin's value, of course.

I agree, OP should have a gen while his team was getting rolled and smoked.
-
Better start looking for a new game, fam.
-
Honestly, I can see where he is coming from. Picking up an item after getting hit with Franklin's is more BM than teabagging, in my opinion. Personally, I do not care, as they give me a free down and show me they are SUPER desperate to keep their item, which helps me exploit them. But I could see why it would annoy someone else.
And clearly, as he said, he is tired of getting messages from salty survivors. I can empathize with that. It is just every time with them. Over and over and over and over and over again with the tears. Like I get YOU usually send positive messages, but you didn't this time and he is usually getting negative messages. The man clearly just wants to play the game in peace, he knows he is not the best at it and you gave him an excuse to tunnel you.
I also saw you said you wanted to report him. For what? No offense intended, but you are kind of a 1 to 1 survivor that lowkey deserves the message you provoked. He wasn't even particularly rude.
-
I definitely agree. I feel dirty using my shards on a survivor. And it takes so much. I wait for sales that let you use shards, recently got Yun Jin for almost half off! Much more reasonable.
-
I agree, it is very cool. They are just mad jealous that they do not understand the art of the basement.
-
I dodge TTV as a survivor because they usually suck. I feel that way as killer, usually (which is why I do not dodge them), but today I went against someone who invited me to a tournament they were hosting. Lol. Best survivor I played against in a long time, I wasn't too surprised to learn they were a literal competitive player. They are the exception though. Most of them are lowkey, midkey, and highkey free content.
-
Sure, I love watching Leatherface games. Not necessarily to watch them fail, I prefer seeing killers do well. But I do get a bit of schadenfreude watching the Bubba haters bump walls, not going to lie.
