If someone is on hook, and I KNOW the other two are going for save, Ill 99 but stay at the gate to open. If I dont have that knowledge, its safer to just open and go for save. Closed gate kills me more than EGC

I am glad for this extension. I have family in town for most of its release and I always enjoy dbds game modes and was afraid I wouldnt be able to sneal away and play. Im also a survivor main, but due to the play while you wait feature I actually q up for killer with a friend 🧡

I went for adept and I was going nuts with her volume… and then I went against a plague, dc'd because what a NIGHTMARE. Yall did my girl dirty
-
I dont play much anymore. In the last year Ive hopped on maybe 3 times. I play to be the sacrifice, randoms and friends Im going to make sure you get out and use myself as a meatshield. Thats the only way I have found this game enjoyable. Bringing an item would be in the wrong hands

If you think killer is weak now, you're welcome to go back to launch day DBD, where hook sabotages were permanent and trapper could have his traps disabled forever. Not to mention that survivors could infinitely loop you in about any map.
Compared to many, I don't miss old DBD. Maybe I miss the looks, but the gameplay? Absolutely not.
Shoot, even 99ing hooks, double pallets, vacuum pallets, actual infinites. And that's not even half. Old dbd was wild

Iron will comes to mind.

2 hours and 4 hours
2 hour match, body blocked in basement (before stairs were changed) camping doctor got mad that I syringed a 2nd state survivor, went afk on stairs. Due to madness animation, was able to eventually glitch through killer and escape
4 hour match, got stuck in hook. (Basically a hatch stand off, whose gonna dc to continue)

Bought this game when I lived overseas and when mixer was a thing. Ended up watching this guy who was brand new and offered to swf for help. Our group grew to a 4 man scattered on the east coast of America (except me)
2 years later I move back to the states (east coast as well) and the 4 of us rented a cabin that was roughly the same distance from all of us and we got to meet for the first time after roughly 3 years of playing everyday 🖤
Flash forward to now, they are still my besties. Many are now "uncles" to my new(ish)born, one is getting married where I will be attending etc etc.
We don't play this game anymore but I'm thankful I bought it at release for this

*laughs in Xbox party chat*

While this does suck, they're not obligated to.
I was once hooked in basement with old hatch mechanic, Dwights on the way to save me, sees hatch instead and leaves. Could've easily saved and we both gotten out but it happens.

I think it is supposed to be online now. It was kinda part of the latest chapter update iirc.
though to be frank, I feel like matchmaking doesn’t really use the MMR correctly and is still prioritizing shorter queues over anything. I am also a pretty bad player and get matched against people that definitely are not (eg got matched yesterday against a blight streamer who had a streak of 30 games with 4Ks/3Ks+hatch - same problems as killer from my side)
i mean.. rank based matchmaking didn’t work as well and was pretty much random and felt worse but this system doesn’t seem to be doing anything differently…
Thank you so much. I didn't consider the queue, or the awful mmr... I guess I just have to hope that it'll all get sorted cuz it's hard to come back

It's a fine line between what's breaking the rules and what isn't. From the two clips I saw, the Dweet is working with the killer, both refusing to participate in normal gameplay. Falls into the category of bannable.
It's one thing letting a survivor die on the hook, its another to stay round the hooked survivor, start the unhooking animation then stopping midway, and trolling the hooked survivor that can't do anything about it.
Did you know it's bannable if a survivor tries to unhook themselves, and then you refusing to unhook them after they've done that? This is no different.
Bonus clip from me
That's the point of my original comment, and what I believe the other commenters were trying to explain. That it is a very fine line. They weren't defending him, or applauding the Dwight, but merely trying to help where the line falls between memeing and working with the killer.

So basically you're saying the killer and the survivor should already be co-operating before the game even starts?
No, I'm just giving full details of my experience and that involved them being actual friends. However the situation of how they actually teamed in game to block me, farm me, kill me and the other survivors until it was just those two is a very classic "teaming with the killer" because they are actively body blocking me, trapping me and giving away my location.
-
Maybe I can help with what the other two are trying to explain.
Years ago before cross play I knew two people (I ran into them in my games often) one was the killer and the other was the survivor. They'd find each other in rounds and then the survivor would run to me, drop the pallet, spam pallet, spam my gen, lockers until the killer came. Killer would ignore that survivor and chase me, all while the survivor tried to block my loop. When I was eventually hooked, I was immediately unhooked, downed and repeat until I was dead. Repeat this for the other two survivors and then the killer and his survivor friend would farm and leave.
I would run into them dozens more times. Probably have old Xbox messages if I look hard enough calling them out only to get "ggez"
I've had games with my swf where the killer spares me because they liked my character or skin or whatever. If there was a random yeah that'd probably look sus af.
Long story longer, you got trolled. But the Dwight doesn't have to unhook you, and the killer is free to give someone hatch, BUT if it's cut and dry like my example then heck yeah! Report!

I tried spamming, also my concern isn't to just vault, I am vaulting, but I want to SLIDE over the pallet, fast vault basically, while I'm looping killers, or while I'm in a chase, I don't want to slow vault. I tried holding RB and also tapping it on other occasions and it is not working properly, I am not sliding over the vault in chases.
If you're holding LB and spamming RB the only thing I can think of is you need a new controller
Edit: try a different keybind and see if that works
-
Hi! I'm on Xbox as well, instead of holding RB, try spamming it instead. That way if you barely get the vault prompt but you're also almost outside of the prompt you're more likely to still vault.

Me and all my friends are on series x. Same issue, one day we spent more time fixing the lobby and loading in than playing the actual game

Yes and you're making people feel bad. You are selfish for letting everyone go. You and all killers need to stop it immediately to get rid of this culture.
Culture lmao if I want culture I'll visit another country.
-
I let everyone go... Guess I'm breaking the rules of the game
-
Tried to use navigation but my Google maps can't find the map I'm looking for
-
*Gets yelled at for using resources to stall the game*
-
Must. get. 4k.
-
"I'm the only person doing gens!!"
Yeah because you leave your teammates to self-care forever.
Stupidity indeed.
Now if it's the last gen I understand
-
It's the first found and hook that ppl don't like more. Just played a game, it's nurse. Dwight is on a gen, nurse blinks and he just gives up and kills himself. Thing is the nurse was still in training so we got a 3 man escape.
Another game I was found first and went down really fast cuz I made potato plays. I get hooked, one gen pops, one person slugged, legion camps til I hit second stage. This is where someone might get annoyed and give up, but I'm petty. I get saved, run across map, heal and do a gen. 3 gens left, I get found because of frenzy and decide I need to waste time cuz she has no reason to leave me. I drop every pallet, just absolutely stall until gens pop. By the time I go down all 3 gens are done and I get my team out with more points than the killer (except me obviously) but I take that W.

can we dispel the myth that people only play SWF for competitive advantages and just accept the reality that the game is simply more fun with friends and most SWF squads do not have this god tier coordination and perk synergy some of yall claim exists...
My friends and I literally spent an entire match talking about pizza and maybe made one call out the entire time about where basement was. We're more focused on our convo most of the time than the game itself
The call-out "Sorry I wasn't listening I was doing a dull totem... PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA?!!?"
Cheaters /s

Playing a full 4 man. One friend goes down to noed, he's dead on hook, we acknowledge noed but everyone is near the exit gate, except for me. I make a run for it, I jokingly said "Take a hit for me"
Friend who doesn't listen or pay attention to symbols on the screen dashes behind me and goes down. *Insert surprised Pikachu face*
Me and other friend get pushed out and are hysterically cry/laughing as he tries to piece together what just happened.

If you knew a survivor had unbreakable you never leave them slugged. What would be the point of the perk?

Black Cat Christmas onesies for nea. With cute pink ears and nose ❤️

Hi! Sprint burst enthusiast here, from day one. Although Ive never said Sb is better than DH I can say why I always use it as my exhaustion perk.
1- 3 people on a gen, I Sprint burst away, killer usually sticks with pressuring the gen/remaining survivors.
2-Doing a gen in a dead zone, have a chance to make it to a jungle gym.
3-Love me a good 99% either endgame or mid chase it is beautiful
4-I don't Sprint burst into and wall or tree unlike DH
5-Its automatic (if not exhausted obvs)
6-I don't end up exhausted on the ground like DH once did
7-You can't bait out my SB cuz I've either already used it or haven't
8-I don't have to be injured.
Sure there's killer perks that trump sprint burst but with careful planning you can still get some value in the match.

I joined an LFG to play my first round of Among us, instantly was met with slurs, sexism, sexual comments directed at myself (didn't even get to play a round)
It took me a few Lfgs to find a group that wasn't nasty.
So Among us is more toxic than dead by daylight I 'spose lol
-
Lilith omen once complimented me for running poised lmao it only bamboozled him once and then he continued to slaughter us

Same. I'm pretty sure it's bugged and just gives you the mask regardless.
I do think it's unfair that they intend to make things harder for survivors than killers, even if I see the logic behind it. It's better than last year's restrictions, at least.
Oh I agree! There should be a "Do 1 event gen and unhook 1 survivor from an event hook to unlock" kind of thing. That way events aren't so sweaty because then survivors might chill on genrush, and killers won't tunnel and camp, thus maybe ending the vicious event cycle that everyone hates lol
-
You don't. I just had a few games that never made it to endgame but I still got the mask.
-
This makes me think of the thread (it was a bug) where the killer mori'd someone with bloody party streamers lol
-
Any chance you were playing nea with aftercare yesterday? More specifically against a bubba and on gas heaven?

Conceptually it worked much better that way but too many people complained about how stealth killer could hide near hooks waiting for you and then it wouldn't activate.
Which, while frustrating, is kind of the point of a stealth killer. People were mad that they couldn't just blindly run up to the hook and grab someone based solely on not hearing a terror radius.
It made sense, I agree. I also liked that you had to be smart with it since it was a one time use perk. However I get why it was even more frustrating for killers with 4 bts endgame.
-
My hot take, I miss old BT. It's probably the nostalgia though lol

I will gladly take your problems so you can play dbd

Probably around 400 USD. Give or take.
