I was taught as a child to say gg. After little league, we all lined up to shake the opponents hand and say good game. Then snacks!
I'm console and refuse to message anyone anything or read messages lol if they say it cool if they don't, well also cool. Not something to write home about.

But seriously, yeah, this is really annoying. I prefer to down AFK survivors so they don't really progress towards leaving the game but I still profit off of their vulnerability, but the constant banging in the distance gets on my nerves and I always cave and hook them. By the time they've got crows again and it's their second hook, I'm past the grace period where I expect them to come back and I have no problems yeeting them out of the game, but the first 90s could easily be someone in the bathroom or getting a package at the door.
I had a demo do this to me.... Only I wasn't afk, my controller somehow desynced from my Xbox and it wouldn't allow me to sync back together. Needed to hard reset. I didn't want to DC though because the demo looked so cute with a nea backpack. It was a 30 minute meme game lmao

Endgame. I'm on hook, killer leaves and is chasing a survivor at the exit gate, the survivor is stalling for someone to save me.... The other two, one with BT at the other exit gate just standing there... Can see the obsession is getting chased and even got hit and then escaped but didn't move a muscle. Gates were equal distances away from hook. I died..... Cherry on top? I had kindred 😭

Killers get a weapon. I want one that allows me to throw a hatchet at the killer and stun them for 5 seconds.
"But survivors have DS, flashbang, flashlights etc" those are perks, they are not given to survivors by the game for free.

I honestly don't get this narrative that it's impossible to cheat on consoles. Gamesharks were a big thing and consoles are just very specialized pcs.
I think it's because it is rare and perhaps more difficult (I dunno im guessing lol) but not impossible.

i dont know why you think crossplay matters to PC players? PC players are the ones who cheat. its literally impossible to cheat on console. iv never faced a single, solitary cheater until crossplay was added. go look at the websites that sell cheat services and software as well as the forum sights that post cheats for people. every single one of them will tell you that console cheats for any game dont even exist. Since i posted this i turned on a movie and left my survivor in que with crossplay off. a match still hasnt popped. its been like 4 hours. Stopping cheaters on PC would cost the developers a lot of money so they wont go that route. If they wont remove crossplay then i think Behaviour should give me a refund for my game and DLC purchases as well as all the money i spent on cosmetics and rifts. Befor you jump the gun and say they shouldnt have to, remember, they added crossplay and ruined my ability to play their game in the name of making revenue. If they arent going to give me the service i paid for when i bought the game then they should give me my money back.
Hello! Fellow Xbox user here. It is not impossible for console players to cheat. Before the devs did their most recent ban hammer round I had a Pyramid head (Xbox) with speed hacks. After the Ban hammer I ran into another Xbox killer who once hooked you, immediate death. You had 3 seconds to unhook or it skipped struggle completely and boom you're out of the game.
While cheating is more common (like killer bots who I've had several times) on PC, no one is safe with cross play on or off.
If you're encountering them as often as you say you have, unfortunately the only way to avoid them is not play. I went against 5 bots in 2 days, decided it was Stardew Valley time and took a break from dbd. Luckily since leaving my farm for the fog I haven't gotten a cheater.....yet.

Cross play means nothing. I've had 2 cheaters on Xbox, one with speed hacks (no perks/add ons) and the other insta kill on hook (No attempt option given and skipped struggle phase completely)

It's interesting you say he landed his far shots and missed his near ones, because I'm certain it's much easier to program a bot to land close-range hits than long-range hits - and this is why the bots focus on M1s for the most part, or powers that work with M1s. If you're 30m away from a survivor as Huntress versus 0m away; 0m is just swing and hit, whether it's an M1 or a hatchet. The bot executes an action and the expected result happens. At 30m away, even if the bot correctly predicts the trajectory of the survivor and throws at the correct height/power/angle to intercept them, there is time for the survivor to react and move in a different direction. The same shot from 15m has less of a margin to miss, but is still up in the air in a way that the killer teleporting to your position and going "omae wa mou shindeiru" is not.
Hitting up close is binary, but being able to land skill shots requires much more complex judgement and pattern reading (unless the shot is instantaneous, which Deathslinger was the closest to - but now that he can't quickscope, this isn't the case.) A program that could do that with even above-average accuracy would be incredibly sophisticated, because it'd have to be able to mimic a lot of things resembling human judgement.
I thought the same thing, you can see in my clip he shoots at me (up close) but there's no chain? His long hits were out on the open, but we could have reacted just shocked with what's happening, I'm probably crazy but I swear the chain went outside his TR at some points. There was also a few times where he shot through the corners of shack but couldn't actually shoot through walls idk if that's a feature of the bot or lag of dbd.

It's distressing how rapidly these things are proliferating, though. A month ago they were barely confirmed rumors, and now they're starting to become pretty common.
I thought the same thing. The death slinger in the beginning only clipped through walls and missed half his shots, the ones he landed were hilariously long chains. He eventually started teleporting to basement and back toward the end (the part I recorded) wonder if that's a flaw in it's mechanic or if the owner of the bot turned up it's skill setting (if that's a thing/possible)

As far as the healing is concerned, you are right. That reminds me- two games before that I had a Huntress bot (I didn’t record). Check this crazy ######### out, Va:
- I didn’t know it was a bot- I thought it was someone cheating
- I got teleported to basement hook like you and I both did in our videos
- I Kobe’d (4%) off hook right before the second to last person was placed on hook (I tried to kill myself on hook and got mad the game gave it to me. Always does that sh!t smh).
- Went into the closest locker because I was trying to hide from Barbecue (Bot actually had it too- but again, I’m thinking this is a human cheater)
- Came out of locker as last person died, boom- Iron Maiden. Figured I was screwed and cheater would teleport straight to me so I just stood still. When I saw they weren’t coming and I heard faint terror radius, I ran upstairs and made a run for hatch. I had CLAIRVOYANCE! Thank gawd the bot had Ruin and I cleansed it at the beginning.
- I escaped through hatch thinking the cheater “gave it to me” (because he would be able to see it like a killer’s Windows of Opportunity with his cheats) out of “kindness” for 4% off hook in the basement. But now I realize it was a bot, I’m confused. But now that I think about it , one content creator did say thats the only way to survive is to find the hatch first, but they will eventually perfect it so the bots will always beat you to it. I know once they do find it, there is no way in hell you’ll get an exit gate open though.
Scary ######### man. Wish I would’ve recorded that one now, in hindsight. Damn. I was just so relived to make it out.
Those were my first 3, but 3 in less than 24 hours is a lot, but then I've had 2 console killer cheaters with them also, to the point that if something weird happened I was instantly paranoid. The report system is such a joke that I'm stuck in this limbo of to play or not to play.

I have anxiety with online games. Too many years of joining voice chats only to hear the same washed up sexist stuff, or belittled cuz I didn't accept said sexist compliments. So when Dbd came out I was beyond excited. I tried to join LFGs where it was a woman host but abandoned that ship because there was always someone being toxic/tryhard (not always but too often than not)
My swf group has been playing together for 5 years.
A Brit I met while I lived overseas whom I invited because he was making me laugh during a trial.
My bestie who I found on mixer streaming his first ever time playing dbd and offered help.
And finally a mutual friend/random of the Brit that bonded with us.
Not always a 4 stack but if one person is on there's probably a duo.

I once saved a TTV from basement, he then proceeded to run into the killer and was downed (oblivious status) and said it was my fault because I didn't heal them in basement.... Against a trapper.

I suck as killer but dabble when I'm bored. Noed is always the first perk I seem to get on my killers. Survivor messages me later "Noed trash" went to their profile and they are
1-A killer main
2- Has a screenshot of them playing killer with *pause for drama* noed
Sent their screenshot back in response and said "Hi kettle have you met black?"

This is going to sound silly, and it is... Buts I suck at spins and this is the only way Ive mastered it.
Zig one way, then the other, maybe a quick crouch (fat thumb syndrome) attempt full spin, run at them but the most important thing is scream like a banshee while executing. It works for me lol

Xbox has a few ways to capture. Most people set an automatic capture to 30 secs, however in a quick couple clicks you can record up to 5 minutes. There is also an option to just start recording but I never use that function so I would have to throw the game just to find it (I'm sure it's right under my nose but I rarely record full matches) I just use the 5 minutes capture especially if I caught the hacker but reporting from console is absolutely awful....
