THE WORST SURVIVOR ALWAYS ESCAPES
so many of my games there'll be two or three really good players who go for unhooks, gens, body blocks and all that good stuff in solo Q. But in the end most times then not we're all dead and the only one who escapes is the one who did gens and crouched around every time someone got hooked or heard the terror radius.
My last two matches I kid you not, atleast one teammate did nothing but crouch and gens.
BHVR just do something right just ONE & fix matchmaking

Sounds like the best player is the one escaping. Glad mmr is working as intended.
.-. ok i laughed but no
This.
Alturism comes with risks in this setting.
You'd expect the more selfish player to be more likely to escape at the end.
You only need a team so far as the gens are complete, once the gate is open then its every man for himself mentality often pays off better than the try to get everyone else out mentality.
Me, watching the Claudette who let two people die on hook while hiding in basement get given the door.
:(
Watched a stream where the streamer got tunnelled out first, and they decided to spectate. There was a Blendette hiding in a bush. You'd think it wouldn't make for good content but it was actually hilarious, especially when an idle crow would appear and we'd watch them panic run around trying to get rid of it. Sadly they got hatch, but even then they got low bp. You think, they did all that just for 10k bp?
Killers like to make sure to kill the better survivors just because. And all your efforts you made to win the match benefit the noobies because they can just walk out for free. Welcome to dead by daylight :)
Hmm, i have to say, i disagree. Becaue that teammates that rush to the hook just to unhook in front of the killer to then botch a flashlight save but never touch a single gen are the ones that get me killed. In most games, where people do gens, its a win for the survivors, at least in my games. However, never coming to a hook rescue is very rare in my games, usually more than one peopel rush to it to get those points.
Hiding in the basement doing nothing is a different thing entirely.
I wouldn’t say always, but it happens a lot.
These are also the same types that open the gates immediately and dip. It’s one of the perks of playing in soloQ. 😊
Your crouchers do gens? Wow. Nice.
I'm sick of the survivors who hide in bushes and refuse to get near any kind of objective being the ones to escape. I've seen an annoying number of survivors escape with 7k BP. Over 5k of that is from escaping! How do you earn less than 2k during an entire match?!
Escape is rewarded way, way too highly. Having all four categories capped at 8k BP is great for symmetry but it sucks in practice. BHVR should cap Survival at like 2k, let survivors earn about 2k for escaping. Raise the caps for Altruism and Boldness. If someone sacrifices their win to help someone else at the end of the match, that person should be rewarded with points and higher MMR. Encourage getting out of that bush, encourage teamwork.
And also fix matchmaking.
If they were still doing gens why complain? Not everyone want to be chased, as long as they do their share of work those player can stealth all they want. It only becomes a problem when they stay hidden and do nothing but wait for hatch all game.
I will 100% chose the hidden gen jockey over the attention seeking flashlight spammer.
I typically find it's usually the one person I didn't want escaping, is the one that escapes and t-bags whilst everyone else is either about to die or already dead.
If the survivors making skilled plays never escape, then were they really skilled plays in the first place?
Dunno what else to tell you. Git gud at hockey.
Yeah if they are doing generators its 'generally' okay but admittedly the person who has least hooks should be doing saves unless it's not safe to do so and they lack borrowed time against a camper. Or some other form of exposed is in play.
There's a lot in this game on both sides that rewards selfishness or playstyles that are simply not enjoyable for all five players.
