I'm left more with the impression that MMR is (2v8's destructive influence aside) not working in a meaningful fashion to begin with. I regularly see full lobbies of P100's sweatlording through me like a diaretic when I try low-tier killers for some fun. But the moment I switch to my main I typically see lobbies of P3-P30. While Prestige doesn't necessarily mean anything, it is one of many possible indicators.

By example my Main killer holds a personal kill rate of around 65%, average of 8.5 hooks per match. My secondary (Trapper) has a kill rate of 41%, average of 5.47 hooks per match IIRC. I will consistently see higher prestige players and a higher prevelance of SWF's on trapper, than I will on my main killer Huntress. I tested it across the last few months and found that of 30 matches played on each, my Trapper faced an average prestige level of 72.3, while my main Huntress faced an average prestige level of 33.95. I couldn't record the confirmation of SWF's but common indicators (matching names, swarming, bullysquading) did favor more SWF's on trapper as well by a margin of nearly 3:1, but again take that data with salt as it cannot be confirmed to any comfort.

Unsurprisingly I see a much higher loss rate on Trapper, not just because it's Trapper but also because of these indicators. This means my Trapper should see considerably lower prestige and groupings. But it's the inverse. Huntress meanwhile I regularly see chunks of fresh installs.

I'm beginning to suspect that killer MMR might be weighted in some fashion. That, or as you say, survivors leaving are given MMR penalty that drives SWF's who often do as you say into lower MMR than where they belong. It's hard to say. I should run a more comprehensive analysis on it but don't know that I care enough to devote that much energy to the process, given the result would be negligible in use.

I personally subscribe to the pure randomness theory.

  • If a screen offends people that much, we may have bigger issues, respectfully.

I don't think it be a negative to remove it, I just don't think that it would help that much.

I play on various servers, sort of have to during the times I play. Not many people are spending time on dbd between 3am and 7am.

Weirdly I have been told many times I play like an Asian player... I used to think they were being racist or something but it does seem to track right. People on those server play very different to other servers and the escape rates show it...mine is more in line with their escape rates due to me playing more like them?

    Possibly.

Important distinction is that this is the HK server, which is basically a separate entity which I know nothing about.

I know more about JP and other Asian servers, which have very objective-oriented Survivors and not so great Killers (imo). But I really can't comment on HK players since I've never seen any.

  • @runningguy said:

Pretty much backs up the sort of experience I have had and what I have been saying for some time. SWF is more common than others like to admit, the escape rates of these teams is far higher (probably due to comms) and soloq isn't actually that bad...

Do you play on that server?

If we're willing to believe BHVR's own wording (shocking, I know), Spirit Fury was always MEANT to only work on gaining tokens by breaking pallets through the standard action but due the way it was coded, that not only wasn't the case, they probably never bothered to properly patch it.

But now that they did make the new code for breaking pallets, the perk code is reading the 'break pallets' code line as the standard action only by the default, hence, why they say its -unchanged- from base even though the perk's actual effect is now different.

And given BHVR doesn't play killer, let alone play a niche perk like Spirit Fury, they probably didn't even know of this interaction to begin with. That's a very generous narrative I'm willing to give, if in the PTB, another perk like Thwack is also affected by this, then this is probably the case.

Ah, just like how Ghoul's bugs were features, then bugs again.

Or how Blight hug tech was a bug, then a feature, and then a bug.

No, actually, that sounds right. Probably did start out as a bug, but they've finally managed to code pallet breaks separately.

Wonder if that has something to do with an upcoming Killer.

Okay, it's time to end this
The entire thread has devolved into you literally spitting bitterly over the theoretical concept of SWF only playing in a theoretical, separate ranked mode
You're bringing up the invite-friends button again, even though I've already written a million times here that simply playing in a team and using a third-party program to gain an advantage are not the same thing

I propose we agree that we disagree and need return the thread to the MAIN thread

I'm glad you admit the folly of your argument.

    Also a good point.

You have directed more on topic with your replies, but the initial post was about nerfing Nurse and Blight as if they were the cause of perks like Spirit Fury being nerf needlessly.

Granted you are free to complain about these killers, I just felt the inclusion of them in this discussion was unwarranted.

They are there as a contrast.

People complain about them all the time.

People did not complain about Spirit Fury.

Firstly, if this was always there, then can you tell me which button IN GAME you press to turn on voice chat?
Secondly, blight tech was also in the game for 5+ years, but they were removed

And you still haven't answered why they shouldn't be in a separate ranked mode. Please try to stay on topic for once and answer the question posed. Why can only one side gain an advantage using out-of-game software and please don't be hypocritical. You either allow everyone to get 30+ free perks, or no one

This supposed massive advantage correlates to oh yeah, Killers still killing more than Survivors escape. There is no massive advantage to most players. Like I've been saying, if you think every team that beats you must be SWF comp squads, that's sort of on you.

The button is called, "invite a friend." Can't get a friend code without using "external software."

"Yes, I believe that people who are so sweaty as to form teams and use an app unrelated to the game to gain an in-game advantage not intended by the game should be considered competitive mode

Please give me an example of why I'm wrong"

Can we get back to my question that you still haven't answered?
Why is one side allowed to go beyond the game to gain an advantage?

    Because it was always intended.

Likewise, it's a potential advantage, not a guaranteed one. Most groups goof around.

Consoles have built in voice chat. Discord is also free and included on consoles, so it's hardly a third party application.

It honestly just reads like you've been getting smoked in matches and are venting.

  • @CatFish said:

Yes, they can, but it's a temporary mode, and if it bothers you so much, why not add a rating and not a rating (unless, of course, you consider the increased game wait time)
Now, back to your message: you literally said that simply playing as a killer in 2v8 is equal to playing SWF, which is stupid comparison

And comparing SWF to cheating or not intended gameplay was equally dumb.

  • @CatFish said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058423#Comment_4058423

Are you comparing simply playing as a killer in 2v8 with downloading and using third-party software to gain an advantage?Oh my god, how can I say "I survive main" without actually saying "I survive main"?

Killers can use VC too lmao

"Survivor main" he says to the Killer who is likely better than they'll ever be lol

You know, console doesn't have to download a VC? It's included on every game. Oops, gotta find a new argument lol.

The game was always designed to be played with friends. If you can't handle it, that's on you.

Very true but very off topic and not really what you said with your first post.

It's on topic? We are discussing the perk nerfs, which are not what people have been asking for.

Instead of touching actually problematic stuff, they go after stuff that nobody talks about.

  • @CatFish said:

Yes, I believe that people who are so sweaty as to form teams and use an app unrelated to the game to gain an in-game advantage not intended by the game should be considered competitive mode
Please give me an example of why I'm wrong

So people who play Killer 2v8 are sweaty too?

  • Because BHVR refuses to implement server side checks.

  • @runningguy said:

not sure why they left out most used and deadliest killers at high MMR but included most used and deadliest killers for mid MMR. High MMR indicates sweaty players that play to win, im curious what killers are mostly used in this area of the game and what the kill rates are for the high MMR killers such as blights. i would be surprised if killers like freddy and pin head that are relatively easy to counter in a team would be in the high MMR list.

Another interesting point is how mid MMR escape rates are generally the same regardless of SWF but high MMR escape rates improve the more they have SWF…..This suggests mid MMR when people just goof around and meme, being in SWF does not improve escape rates. While high MMR where people play to win, the escape rates do get higher the more thats in a team which indicates SWF with comms with the intent to win can aid survivors considerably. It goes from 37% solo to 45%. 4man SWF.

Its also interesting that there is actually an increase in the amount of SWF players in high MMR. Many people claim "your not getting SWF teams that often". These stats show that high MMR do have higher chance of getting SWF teams compared to mid MMR.

I also don't know why they left that out.

As we've been discussing elsewhere, we apparently cannot tell if people are using comms or not. I find it ironic you do the exact thing you just spent a whole thread railing against.

I mean, nobody complains about Duos or Trios, so I assume you mean the 4-man rates which do go up….by a whole four percent. Which gives you a grand total of…fifteen percent of the total playerbase. You have a SLIGHTLY higher chance of getting a full four-man, but there's actually more people playing Solo than anything else.

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4057928#Comment_4057928

The actual problem is Nurse and Blight having Spirit Fury and everything else would be good and balanced without Nurse and Blight having Spirit Fury.

I know you have issues with Nurse and Blight, (and most likely a few more killers). But coming into a post about Spirit Fury, a perk not utilized by the specific two, is disingenuous. If any killer is affected the most by this change is our resident face camper, Bubba.

My point is that people were not complaining about Spirit Fury.

People are complaining about cheaters, about server issues, about Killers like Ghoul, about Killers like Trapper (for entirely different reasons, tbf) and we get vintage BHVR, changing something nobody was complaining about.

  • It is more difficult to spread hooks, but certainly not impossible.

Players will always choose the path of least resistance, and the Devs need to account for that. If you gave Survivors old BNPs, of course, we'd see BNPs every single game. Why? Because it makes the game easier for them.

No difference for tunneling. Tunneling is always the optimal play, unless there's a massive skill gap, but that's more of a matchmaking issue, imo.

It takes vastly more skill to "prevent" (I don't necessarily think you are supposed to be able to stop a tunnel out, merely delay it so your team escapes) than it does to successfully execute. You have to rely on RNG, your own skill and the skill of your teammates, which as I'm sure we all know, varies wildly.

To your point, I agree, I think. There is no reason, for someone who wants to win, to not tunnel immediately. It may impact your "skill" as a player, handicapping you in some areas, but if you win 90% of your matches, why would you care?

That's my issue with it as well. It's easy, it's effective and it's very difficult to counter. BHVR refuses to do anything to change this reality, and I ultimately can't really blame the player (unless they are doing it because it gets reactions or people upset or something, then I can) for wanting to win.

I think the anti-tunnel PTB had the right idea, it just needed a bigger reward and slightly more forgiving system, you shouldn't have been penalized as hard for killing before 6 hook stages, I'd say 5 or even 4 would be more appropriate. Still, give us a tradeoff. You can still tunnel, but it's more difficult and you're giving up a great reward for doing it.

Ultimately, my fear is that there will never be anything even remotely as good as killing someone off ASAP. Even Old Eruption, CoB, Overcharge and PR wouldn't be close to the amount of slowdown you get from knocking someone out. Taking that tool away from some people greatly upsets them, but I'd still like to try another version of that PTB (with better rewards/less strict) and see.

Killers seem to be doing very well across the board, so I think we can play around with some stuff before we need to worry about them as a whole.

    first off

Why the hell does Vecna, Freddy and Sadako have such a high killrate??
I rarely see them and there so easy to counter how the hell are they more deadly than Billy and nurse?

Vecna has a lot to his kit, plus secondary objectives, kind of.

Onryo also has secondary objectives that are not optional. She's also pseudo-stealth, which is a problem for anyone without good headphones/hard of hearing.

Freddy also has stealth and hindered. Plus, he was changed semi-recently with the new blood exploding pallets, which honestly, I don't even really understand either tbh

Ah yes, those same "goofy" genrush and bully SWF that make up 90% of SWF. I understand the idea that your bully squad will be facing tournament-minded blights and nurses, not baby trappers/pigs, that scares you.
I find your hypocrisy amusing. You happily run to SWF and use third-party programs to gain an advantage, but don't want to face strong opponents. So either give every killer 30+ free aura perks, or separate SWF and normal players.

They clearly do not make up the majority. God squads do exist; I'm not denying that.

But you can't have it both ways.

If God Squads are so powerful that they break the game, then they cannot be common. The stats simply do not accommodate that point of view. At their absolute best, SWF are escaping less than they are being killed.

If they ARE that common, then they cannot be that powerful.

My hypocrisy? In what? I've played Killer for eight years now, every friend who I used to play with has quit, over the years. I'll get invited by people, on occasion, to run customs or event queues, but I mostly stick by myself and play Killer.

  • @CatFish said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058144#Comment_4058144

Just SWF/no SWF. SWF is the most powerful force the game has ever seen. If you want 30+ free perks obtained using third-party software, bypassing the rules of the game, fine, no problem, but only in ranked mode, where every killer will sweat If you want a more balanced approach, play casual solo mode
This way, killers who don't want to sweat won't encounter swf, and swf will get opponents equal to themselves in ranked mode
    It's very simple

Except, not all SWFs are competitive. Most just seem to goof around.

Even in the stats we see above, a full four-man has a slightly higher escape rate than Solo, but not by much.

If the most powerful force in the game is 2% stronger than Solo Q, I'm not sure that force is very powerful at all. It's weaker than Killer, apparently.

  • @CatFish said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058116#Comment_4058116

It's simple: if you're a sweaty swf, ur swf can play only in hard ranked mode against same as u 9999h sweaty nurses. If you're a regular solo player, you can play the regular casual mode, or if you're bored with it, play the hard ranked mode if you want

That's a nice idea, but how do you determine who is a "sweaty SWF"?

  • @runningguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058066#Comment_4058066

majority of SWF use comms? you have figures to show this being as you like to provide evidence? Cogsy has said himself "not all SWF use comms". So if not all SWF use comms then how many dont? We dont know do we, so why would count all people in the stats when they dont use comms? if say 50% use comms, thats half that dont and as such could likely be dying more thus lowering the escape rate for ALL SWF.

These figures you present as evidence is entirely speculative and based on assumptions that ALL or MOST SWF use comms…. You might throw around stats with assumptions and claim they are fact but thats not actual evidence no matter how much you try to claim it is.

This one is easily solved via logic, so Let's try together.

People want to play with friends. They like to be able fo talk with them. Not much of a point in grouping up with zero communication. In fact, you can't even do that, since you need to send someone an invite, which means you need their account name. That's external comms. Ergo, almost every single SWF uses it.

So what is it that you want? You insist everyone else is wrong, because they aren't God and can't give you exact data on every minute detail but you simultaneously can't even live up to your own standards.

    Just another contrarian.

  • @runningguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058054#Comment_4058054

once again you are talking about SWF and soloq…we are not talking about that we are talking about comms. Showing evidence that shows ALL SWF its useless. its like talking about Nurse and showing you stats that include ALL killers including nurse. Its meaningless.

So like i said, if you dont have ACTUAL evidence that highlights COMMS impact on killers then its probably best to not show anything or it will be debunked. unless we are agreeing that anecdotal evidence is now valid?

Without actual evidence then it is just purely anecdotal which has been considered invalid in many arguments. assuming individual killers kill rates were never shown, if i was talking about Nurses kill rate then i show you evidence of ALL S tier kill rates it would not be valid as it it would incorporate stats outside of Nurse. This is what you have done, we are talking about comms being used and the impact they have on the killer and you take stats that show ALL SWF escape rate and expect it to be valid? sorry but no lol.

Oh? Solo Q uses comms? Do tell me more.

SWF's, the vast majority, use comms. Solo Q do not. Ergo, we compare comms vs no-comms. Quite simple.

  • @Fixthisgamebad said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4058054#Comment_4058054

Yea 100%. But until the whole narrative comes out it's rlly anyone's guess. It's just andoical evidence at this point. But I feel like the skill gap in the game is also very brutal and nuanced. We all can counter some killers better than others there might be a universal trend like m1s just being being easy to counter but every survivor interacts with every killer differently too. But yea I'm come to see it isn't rlly an us vs them thing rlly for me both survivor and killer seems repetitive but that's also ig because the metas are kinda stagnet.

Now, this? This I can agree with.

There is nuance, there is context. But still, we do know Killers are doing very well as a whole right now. So when I hear people like runningguy claim that comms are ruining the game, or that they are somehow OP, I look at the data we DO have.

And that data does not support their argument. It isn't perfect, but they are asking for something that cannot be proven. They want to prove intent, basically. What did the SWF INTEND to do. Were they goofy? Competitive? Silent? That's what they want to know, and that's ridiculous, quite frankly.

  • @runningguy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4057986#Comment_4057986

is it any different to someone telling the OP they are lying and SWF with comms are not providing an advantage that solo players get? i dont think so. If someone can say something along the lines of "what your saying isnt true and i have stats to prove it" then why is it not acceptable to call that person out and say "well your stats does not prove anything and heres why".

By all means offer evidence if you wish, but expect it to be debunked with logic and reasoning, just dont get too worked up over it and resort to name calling 😂

Now do you have any other "evidence to thow around for me to debunk? anything that actually has significance to comms and not SWF as a whole?

Yes, quite a bit different, actually.

See, even if you nitpick or disagree, there's genuine empirical evidence showing SWF and Solo Q escape about the same amount. Slight difference in favor of SWF, but not too much. Even if you think that's misguided or out of context, there IS evidence for it. There's no evidence for your opinion, besides completely anecdotal experiences. You have zero hard data.

Considering you name anyone who disagrees with you liar, I think I'll be fine. You never even debunked anything, you just asked for information that even BHVR doesn't have access too. If they did, it'd be Spyware.

No. Unless you want to install Spyware on DBD players systems, listen in on their comms and make a opinion-based judgement call on how serious they are playing. You can nitpick all you want, only one of our stances has any ground to stand on and it isn't the one with zero evidence, data or possibility of proof.

But go off, ig. Hit me with another non sequitur. Might as well get all the logical fallacies too.

  • @Fixthisgamebad said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4057973#Comment_4057973

the thing about stats is that they mean nothing sadly, I remember a guy showed me the japense escape rate was 40% which is what BHVR wants, but the thing is there is a massive step from solo q and SWF no stat can rlly encompass the problem I feel like. Furthermore, stats rlly dont mean anything I feel like due to the vairirty of killers and many people just playing kaneki or s tier killers supress how m1 killers are treatred because they arnt as picked. if we keep useing stats Im pretty sure the game will evovle to everyone just useing blight nurse and ghoul because while that stats make everything look fine the deeper you get you see probelms, a ghostface vs 4 man comms is very diffcult and no stat can present this. Stop useing stats as an arugment they mean nothing in a game so nuanced as dbd. you are ingoring the smaller issues and tryna make seem not seem like an issue due to one stat. Adding on comms will increase the survivalibity in soloques as they can actally plan and coordiante if they wanted too. But yea no more stat talk, until we get a reiliabal stat that shows all the killers killer rate like a better nightlab I dont wanna hear this stat BS.

    I find it amusing, tbh.

We don't like the empirical data because it goes against the narrative. You can hem and haw all you like, but the fact of the matter is that Killers are killing more than Survivors are escaping, and they have been for a long time.

There's something to be said for context, but that's not really your argument. You want to ignore the stats completely, because they prove that there's really not a big difference between Solo and SWF in terms of escape rates AND that Killer, as a whole, is doing very well.

I'm glad you think the game is nuanced now, but somehow I suspect you'd be signing a different tune if the Kill Rates showed 40% across the board.

  • @Xaerdy said:

And you create such a thing for consoles instead of the in game chat. Since the devs decide what goes in there, it could all be some form of positives like "ggwp", "liked that chase", "nice of you", something like that. So people can give props proper and direct, but can't insult the others.

Yes, I agree. I think a communication wheel is pretty much just a great idea. Not really any downsides.

  • @Xaerdy said:

Well, runningguy has made it clear on multiple occasions, that he thinks the game in soloq is basically to be played without any form of altruism. This is pretty far from the majority of the players and on this forum. So I think yopu simply won't find any common ground here.

That being said, of course coordination makes the game easier. I don't want to count the times I lost a hook stage, even in 2v8, just because noone was saving me, despite not doing gens or anything. And there is certain info your char gets others don't see.

However all things are dependend on skill. The game does not suddenly become easy when you have comms. There my two friends and me, where I am certainly the weak link, and there is team eternal.

Two killers coordinating in 2v8 are a nightmare though and Freddy isn't even playable. ^^

    —

    Back to topic:

Ranked is fine by me, however, that would

    a. this only makes sense, when the player base is big enough. Currently 2v8 drowns 1v4 a little bit. So a new ranked mode should not lead to either the ranked or the casual mode having a day of queue time

    b. ranked mode would have to have not just a different and an laways on game chat. Which isn't technically possible btw. It would have to have specific rules in gameplay, like for instance a less strong anti tunnel mechanic etc. Otherwise, people who play competetive and loose too much, would just play casual to stomp others, but with the mindset they have in a very competitive play, making the modes obsolete.

For the love of the spaghetti monster, the invisible teapot and the invisible pink unicorn, spare us from voice chat in game. The community is incredible toxic. I really don't want to play while hearing the some people complain, quite often in russian, what kind ##### their teamates are what #### I am. Besides, the game is quite a lot based on hearing. It's one thing to tell you mates "be quite, I can't hear Vecna-wannabe shooting vines at me" and another to explain that to stranger a few hundred to thousand kilometres away.

But communication should be. It's stupid to think that people who play together wouldn't communicate. When was the last time you sat at a couch playing Mario Kart with friends and said nothing the whole race, especially in a team race? So I concur, that some communication for soloq would be helpful, but not voice chat. Get some form of quick comms wheel or something and test it.

I think a comms wheel would be fine.

Plus, a lot of people don't speak English, which is something a lot of people forget. Comms don't do much good if you don't speak the same language ll

now whos asking someone to prove something? i dont have to prove anything, im stating my opinion and debunking meaningless "evidence". Which you have also done….offered meaningless so called evidence which has nothing to do with comms.

i would be careful….i dont think name calling is tolerated in the forums. could be considered a personal attack, please keep it civil lol

You say that, but then attack a single poster and call them a liar for daring to disagree.

You debunk nothing, you have no opinion, you contribute nothing except chaos and derailment. You simply jumped in to cause chaos and disrupt the discussion. I've seen countless discussions derailed by you, where all you do is say, "No, that's not true." "No, you made that up." "No, that's not real, you manipulated data." "No, those stats don't count, they aren't what I want."

You have no supporting evidence, you refuse to elaborate and you refuse to do anything except sow discord. We have enough of that already, imo. Most of the comments in this thread are you just saying, "Nu uh." When people try to meaningfully engage with your baseless points. Perhaps that's equally on us, for falling for that ruse.

im not asking anyone to prove anything, your the one trying to prove it. The OP posts a thread about how comms can destroy killers, i agree it can destroy certain killers….not all but stealth killers in particular. Your the one trying to disprove it with flimsy evidence to suggest this is not the case….when i debunk your evidence as it hold no baring on comms at all you claim im asking people to prove something lol.

So then prove it destroys Killers.

    Where's your evidence? Your stats?

Also, you didn't post an opinion, you immediately jumped to attacking another poster. The same poster you always attack. Weird.

Tell me how Spirit Fury affects Nurse. Please enlighten me.

It doesn't, they'll do anything but touch the ACTUAL problems. That was my point.

  • This is dumb, imo.

Just killing off perks for no reason instead of nerfing Nurse or Blight.

If I recall their response, it wasn't the capabilities of any of the consoles themselves preventing it.

Apparently there's an issue with their coding that creates a resource bottlenecking problem that's insurmountable. This is why DBD is an unusually voracious gobbler of resources that even the strongest PC's can still feel. No other game I've played has such hitching and lagging within its own menus let alone in-game. 😕

    I believe it's a CPU bottleneck, iirc.

  • I agree.

I think four is one too many. Feels like you play vs Zombies more than Nemesis, tbh. Just really frustrating at times.

Nemesis was so bad and useless in previous 2v8 versions. He needs something to make him a bit stronger. To compensate for one fewer zombie, maybe a shorter cooldown or longer range for his special attack?

I don't care what else you give him.

It feels like I'm fighting the AI more than a player, and that's bad design.

  • Probably get rid of one of Nemesis's Zombies.

    Add Dog + Henry

    Keep Leg out

  • Most likely rust, doesn't really matter how good you were, time dulls all our senses.

Good news is that is that it comes back fast.

Idk man, its because of Tru3 that I learned the most optimal way to use Main Event as Trickster is to wait when there are minimum 6 trees and a rock between you and the Survivor. That way you might get a stack of Laceration!

And then get mad at everyone but the person who decided to use pop Main Event from forty meters away

  • @terumisan said:

streamers are probably smurfing but if you watch tru3 you'll learn some things

    oof definitely not anything good

I know alot of survivors will be mad about this

1( Make every Killer have there own Maps they go on. For killers like Chucky, Ghostface and Trapper and other m1 to slow killers should get small to medium maps.

While Blight, Ghoul and other Killers with great map pressure tools should get Large to medium maps.

This insures Fair Games where the killer can Keep up while giving survivors the maps to counter them in. So you dont get Ghoul on a very small map. And Chucky doesn't get a huge map that takes him 2 mins go around the map)

2( make it so 2 survivors is the limit per Gen. This helps with Gen speeds and abuse to Gen Progression perks while not changing much. If a Gen is completed gens around that Gen are blocked for 30secs. This helps insure matches donot go to fast. This will be Ajusted to the type of killer and map ur dealing with. Meaning you can still finish 2 Gens at the same time just now it requires splitting up and learning Distance between Gens. This can be Ajusted over time its to much)

    1) Is kind of bad but I see the logic.

    2) is just horrific no matter how you slice it.

yeah the super aggressive anti-camp is another thing that bothers me with this killer. Survivors are practically running to hooks as safe zones. His mobility isn't even fast enough to justify leaving the hook immediately.

Why do similar killers not have such restrictions (Dracula, Unknown, Pyramid Head, probably more that im forgetting)

You can actually use that to your advantage.

The hook delays the attacks, but the cooldown remains the same. You can just place hook bombs underneath the Survivor and get an instant double hit, if you time it correctly, iirc.

  • No.

His addons are actually quite good across the board, but I don't think any are overtuned. He's got a nice spread, and I don't ever really feel like they are unrunnable unlike most other Killers.

Gold standard is still Wraith, but Henry is definitely up there.

Its a shame most of those perks are extremely niche and have very short timers or ridiculous activation requirements or are able to be removed (Hexes).

Now if there was a perk that was like: "When survivors complete a gen for 60 seconds they are all exposed, deactivates when a survivor is downed" then maybe you'd be able to compare that.

    Killer powers have Exposed.

Full Hex builds are actually somewhat viable right now, surprisingly.

There is no direct equivalent to DS on the Killer side of things because it is a fundamentally different game. If you really wanted to twist my arm, I might say that gen regression/blocking is the closest thing to DS, with Deadlock being the closest in that category.

  • @Vtech said:

Getting a single rehook is a valid killer verison of DS.

    Especially since

Survivors can be fully healed initate a chase, get downed from full health then still get to DS.

    So no.

We need a free rehook with a small skill check.

Don't like it? Don't unhook in the killers Terror Radius.

If you are ending chases in under 15 seconds, you really don't need to care about DS lol.

Getting a rehook with no counterplay is not even remotely close to DS.

There is not, and will not, ever be a Killer version of DS because Killer is a fundamentally different game than Survivor. There are very few directly equivalent perks.

    Not Joking!

It's just the killer Version of DS.

    Whats wrong with tha?

    Chained Hook:

If Survivors unhook a survivor in your Terror radius trigger a skill check if you succeed the survivor is rehooked instantly and gains another hook state up to sacrificed.

That isn't even remotely close to DS.

This is either satire or a fundamental misunderstanding of the game.

  • He's fine.

I've been able to dodge them pretty routinely as Survivor.

Killers deserve a Second chance perk like DS.

Something like "Hook Chains" when the first survivor is unhooked they instantly get rehooked if the killer passes a skill check, and gain another hook level.

    That is definitely…an idea.

Not a good one, but certainly one of the ideas of all time.

    Gotta make those sales.

No decent survivor perk...again, i guess survivor barely bring money to justify these changes.

    ???

Dustin's window trap perk is great. Change of Plans is sneaky good as well.

We See You and ESP are both really good perks for El too.

Not a big fan of the teamwork perks, but they aren't quite the worst perks in the whole game.
