I've hardly ever felt robbed being smacked to the floor by an unexpected Devour. It feels like the Killer took a risk bringing in a perk that may be gone within 30 seconds of the trial starting, played decent enough to get at least 3 hooks in AND didn't camp. Devour Hope can win games, I've seen it happen from both sides. But only ONCE in my two-and-a-half years of playing has it made me go "oh sod off". I can't even remember what that match was like.
I like how the match comes to a grinding halt for the survivors, while the killer gets to capitalise on their EARNED momentum for as long as DH stands. By the time DH falls (if it indeed does), the trial could have shifted entirely into the killer's favour. And I cannot express this enough, it feels like they earned it.
Compare that to the times I got hit with a NoED that won the killer the game...
You understand.

Why do people complain about noed but not devour hope? Survivors decided not to clean bones and the killer earned his instant down. If I win with devour it's good game if its noed it's that perk is so cheap🤣
Do I really have to explain it? Okay...
Devour encourages the killer to do their job and rewards them for doing well. It promotes a healthy way of playing on both sides and it's lit up the entire match, giving survivors a real chance to counter it and faulting the killers for not defending their totem well enough. Like all other Hex totems (Besides NOED), It's a risk v reward.
NOED on the other hand has no real counter other than cleansing every totem on the map in hopes the killer actually has it and if not, you wasted time for no reason. It's a hex that rewards the killer for playing badly and has almost no downsides/risks, not appearing lit until the very last gen is popped. It provides exposed to all survivors and a 4% movement increase during the endgame with absolutely no work, usually leading to cheap, unearned victories and dissatisfied survivors. Even on red rank killers who do very good, I can't help but feel cheated when NOED activates and I die cause my team doesn't want to find the totem.
I will always commend a killer who uses Devour. They worked for those stacks and if I fail to find the totem before they reach five, that's on me and I accept defeat. Plus, getting mori'd is cool. NOED activating on good or bad killers always leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Both hex spawned right next to gens, like, literally, and both got destroyed on the very first minute of the game before I could even hit someone or do anything.
When are they gonna fix Hex spawns?
They need to make it so totems do not spawn directly in front of gens or in line of sights of gens. That's a inevitable cleanse no matter what you do.

A good idea is to actually use stake out. The timer will tick down when in terror radius so you’ll know if the killer is somewhat close
When you don't have stake out and patiently waiting for it to appear in the shrine.

I've got your back i guess should be like this:
I've Got Your Back - You have their backs and they have yours. When unhooking another survivor or being unhooked, both survivors will gain a 10%/15%/20% speed boost If they stay near eachother within 16m
And first aid spray should be 200/150/100 secs tbh
Thats just an infinitely better blood pact.

@Dragonshensi said:
If people want to leave the match forcing them to stay a little longer isn’t going to help change their minds or help your team. Your team is going to waste their time saving the hooked person cause after they are unhooked they will more than likely just wait till the killer comes back to hook them again. So all that time you spent off a gen getting that person will be a waste. I don’t think the hook change will be effective or worth it.
This was not for hook suicides. This was to prevent the destruction of many spacebars and buttons from constant smashing. Not only that, it makes it less likely to immediately die on hook of the game lags.

Has the same energy as "If I have to explain, then nevermind".

Imagine being so upset about tunneling kinda sad.
Yeah, that's not gonna work cause tunnelling is a problem that needs to be dealt with.
-
@Shenshen said:
This would be way to broken against certain killers. Imagine Nurse not be able to blink, you would give your team 30 seconds of literally no threat. This is a hard no from me.
Imagine punishing a killer for tunneling. Couldn't be you.

I was just in a match as the Twins and a thought came to me while a survivor was kidnapping Victor, they shouldn't be allowed to drop pallets. It would fix the kidnapping issue in a big way.
Thoughts?
The survivors should not be able to be downed by Victor, period. It promotes slugging and that's no fun to go against, especially against twins. He should only be used to latch onto and locate survivors. This is just my honest opinion.

I was running Freddy for a game, and the moment i loaded in a survivor dc'ed. Then the second one did the same. Then the third one suicided on hook, and the other also suicided.
I will play against Freddy normally until my second hook (First if he's mowing my team down). I don't want to stick around for a game I know I won't win.

I don't understand the whole point of cage of atonement was that it was slightly harder because of skil checks.
now t hat hooks have skill checks why bother with cage?
Do you really think Cage of Antonements purpose is to have skill checks instead of button mashing? If so, I feel very sorry for you.

@HuDawg said:
Now if you get hooked you cannot die you only have to struggle which means the player will
A) forced to take a dc penalty
B) go afk because he doesnt want to play anymore
C) run at the killer again and die on hook in the process
I think its a step to the right direction in my opinion getting rid of the option of killing yourself on hook
Game lag won't kill me on hook anymore. I'm happy with the change

@MadLordJack said:
With these changes he should be able to reliably deal damage. His speed and accuracy were ethe biggest reasons he was having to play tiles as a 110 m1 killer - now he's faster, has no spread and drastically reduced recoil.
I really hope these changes help him out. I really want to like this killer but getting stomped multiple games in a row becomes unfun real fast.

I take one perk from every survivor and build around it like it's their special power. For example:
Meg: QaQ, head on, deception, Dance with me.
David: No mither, Resilience, spine chill, dead hard
Yui: Any means necessary, Smash hit, Power struggle, flip flop.
Adam: Autodidact, empathy and WGLF.
I have fun doing this and keeps playing survivor fresh. I don't have a "main build"
-
Once I got BBQ unlocked on Bubba, immediate prestiged and started leveling up Legion (My main). I didn't get it until 90+ levels. I know how it feels. Currently trying to get smash Hit on yui but the bloodweb hates me.

Mine have to be because I kobe they facecamped me for the rest of the game and because I was playing claudette. I literally asked them why they hard tunneled me (teammates tried to take hits and they ignored) and they said I was a black monkey good thing it wasnt in the in game chat so I cant report them to BHVR and they are probably playing to this day.
Because I was Gen rushing despite the fact I didn't get to do ######### that game cause you kept coming back for me. When I pointed that out and said she should go after survivors who are actually on gens, she stopped replying to me. Typical.

Ok did he have his ultra rare add-on that makes you absorb blood while injured or healthy revealing your aura to him or did he have either of the perks Bitter Murmur or Rancor?
Maybe when a gen was completed near you he seen your aura or if a teammate completed a gen Rancor revealed your location to him.
If none of these are possible and he was playing on pc then maybe (just maybe) you probably versed a cheater.
I don't play oni but one was purple and the other was green. Idk what they were.

What perks did they have? What addons? Were you injured or healthy?
Healthy. He wasn't running BBQ, retribution or undying. I was so confused. Wanted to ask him how he always knew but he was on another platform so yeah.

@Aven_Fallen said:
No, he does not have Killer Instinct.
Then I have no clue how he kept shooting to my location even when hiding. It's like he just... knew o was hiding behind that tree or pallet.

@Zeus said:
Isn't that the perk that rewards survivors for getting hooked?
This it being called a risk vs reward perk. If no one's getting hooked, I get no stacks but that means we're winning anyways.

So I wasn't going crazy when I stunned an oni twice in one game and still got down. He looked around like, "No way that should have hit.'

His point is that it's been less than a day since the killer joined the actual game and it's too early to adequately judge. Otz thought that Spirit would be weak when she came out, and now look at her. She gets more hate than Taylor Swift (which isn't saying much but I just wanted to get that joke off of my chest).
Shake it off, shake it off, I-, I-, I-,
Thank you! someone who understands what I'm trying to say instead of repeating what's been said.

I've ran into some tricksters who just destroyed us. On the other hand, I've ran into tricksters who posed NO threat. Take your time to learn him, not complain he's bad after three games.

Okay real question. ######### is this garbage? He is painfully slow like huntress with one exception, huntress has a power that is fun to use and effectiv. I saw gameplay from the ptb and nothing changed. Thanks bhvr for making 2 ######### killers in a row.
I he just released and you're already expecting to be goldly with him?

I'm always exited to try a new killer. Though it will take some time to get used to his appearance in dbd as he is nothing like the other killers at all.
Its because he lacks any sort of mask. Out of them all, he's the most normal looking killer in the game. Put a mask on him and I'm sure people would shut up about him not belonging in DBD.
-
Legion will be unable to vault pallets while irisidcent button is equipped
-
I'm excited to play him. Gonna level up the survivor first and play as her until I get at least 500k BPs to level up Trickster.

Well, Freddy is a reality warping killer (within the context of a dream) and is not the best killer in the game. Soo.. there's that. :P
Freddy not the best killer in the game? You're funny.

Spine chill is the way to go. An early warning the killer is coming and 6% increased action speed during chases (with Resilience 9%) are life savers.
-
You'll never get skill checks for it until endgame collapse.

Starstruck, agitation, mad grit, and infectious fright.

Dumb Tech Lithe- Vaulting a pallet with Lithe after stunning the Killer will usually allow you to make it to another tile. The Killer is most likely to leave the pallet unbroken and continue the chase.
Smash Hit- Stunning the Killer with Smash Hit will allow you to make a ton of distance on the other side of the pallet. The Killer will usually drop the chase and break the pallet.
So which is more powerful? A perk that lets you extend a chase and preserve a pallet (or use it in a more normal way as a budget Sprint Burst at standard vaults). Or a perk that ends a chase and loses a pallet. If you're remotely interested in using Smash Hit, just use Lithe. It's way more versatile. Especially, if you're going against a Killer that ignores pallets (Nurse, Spirit, Pyramid) or just heavily respects them.
I feel with the extra one second they added, you could still do the dumb tech with smash hit if you want.

That's just admitting to being a bad survivor.
I've won (and lost) games to every single killer, player skill is a much larger factor than what killer they chose in most cases. And even so, you can still pip without escaping a match, which I'd consider a good result.
Whenever I have a fellow survivor give up, I never blame the killer, even if that's what they want me to do. The Killer is a player too. It's the survivor who DC'd/Suicided that screwed the rest of us over.
Maybe some games you know just aren't going to be fun and gas nothing to do with skill?

Is it the one on Midwich in the corner by the stairs? to mindgame that I think you'd have to moonwalk to the opposite corner of the map, up the stairs, back to that corner, down the stairs then turn and hit.
Or have any of the pallets on the new meat plant outdone it?
How about the unsafest pallet? There's one on Gideon meat plant that leads to a literal dead end. I laughed my ass off when a bill threw it down and realized he was trapped. Stayed there staring at him for a solid minute before he tried jumping over and I grabbed him.

It's a Deathslinger scenario.
Per example, we all hated "Deathslinger" on the PTB release because it sounded super edgy and tryhard (still does) but it grew on most people, including me. At least with the Trickster, it doesn't sound anywhere near as self-important. It'll grow on ya.
He literally slings death. ######### are you on about

Think of them as add-ons to existing builds. Like how deception is great with head on and Quick and quiet or appraisal is great in a chest build. They'll add to the experience.

No Way Out requires you to have 4 unique hooks though to get max value, and if you managed to get that with a build with only end-game perks, then you deserve to win tbh
Do you actually think it's that hard to hook 4 different survivors? God, I feel bad for you.

Killer:
- Gen slowdown perk (that attempts to counter the current meta)
- Gen progress detection perk (that will be ignored like 90% of the other gen detection perks)
- Healing perk that reduces the time survivors need to heal BUT while doing so, they have a higher skill check chance.
Survivor:
- anti tunnel perk (DS got nerfed, so we need a new king)
- perk that increases the max uses of 1 time use perks (enjoy getting stabbed for 8 times)
- perk that refreshes the exhaustion timer of the teammates while being close.
Healing perk is a dream come true for Autodidact. Pls behavior.
