Im with the op. The amount of times I see a random get tunneled and picked up, and I'm saying pllleaseeee have ds. Nope. Nothing. It sucks

    Thank god someone here understands.

  • My date with pyramid head will end with him plowing me.

    You win. Congratulations

  • Yall need to realize these are WIPs, not the final version.

  • @gendoss said:

Yeah the game has just been feeling incredibly off with pallets and vaults lately. I keep pressing "space" when the prompt is up and it's not dropping and earlier tonight I pressed "space" when the prompt wasn't even there and it super vaccumed me back to the pallet which is not what I wanted to do. Getting hit through pallets every single game is basically par for the course for me tho and I can't figure out a way to stop it.

Even with vault speed build, I vault, run two steps forward and STILL somehow get hit.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

Getting hit through a pallet is intended if you throw it too late, or the killer swings into it and you throw it before their attack animation is over because your hitbox extends back into the pallet. If it's not that then it's a ping issue. It should be harder to get hit through a pallet drop, the stun happens instantly now.

I hate predropping pallets but that's what I've resorted to given my luck. It's not working as well as I hoped but damn if it isn't working.

  • Well, it seems everyone else has had better games against him than me.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

He’s not OP, but his buff was lazy as hell, just improving his numbers to ridiculous degree without adding a single reason to stay uncloaked. This has caused him to become one of the most boring killers to go against.

    @HollowsGrief said:

His playstyle has become boring and dumb, I think his extra lunge coming out of stealth needs to be toned down just a bit. It should absolutely be higher than it was before, just not this high.

    Its hit and run.

  • Ah yes, this screenshot of your one win against wraith destroys my whole post. It's not like you're playing on PC with teammates who aren't absolute dogshit. Yes, I see how I'm wrong now.

  • Well, his only viable way to damage survivors is by bonking them. He doesn't have an instant down and his power is invisibility.

  • @TheMadCat said:

"Just need to learn to loop better against a Wraith imo.."

Exactly my opinion. I'm still practicing and learning how to loop properly, and most of the time I get caught, I feel it was a mistake from me.

He's stronger than before, but I still don't consider him OP.

I'm average at looping and still make plenty of mistakes.

I feel the bait in this but i'ma take it anyways..

Wraith is still weak my guy, sorry to say..

No matter what. Put a Wraith against a Decent / Good enough Swf and he'll lose 100%,

Just need to learn to loop better against a Wraith imo..

Not bait. Genuinely serious. Maybe you've had better games against him than me but so far, I haven't won once.

  • Freddy is not fun to play against. You must enjoy boredom if you find him fun.

  • David can plow me any day. Kate for the female choice.

Stridor makes regular breathing 25% louder and grunts of pain 50% louder. Purple Iron Will cuts grunts of pain down to 0%. I know what they mean, but it irritates me that the description for Stridor is improperly worded. Multiplying zero by any number is still going to be zero.

    discuss.

    Addition is a thing, dude.

  • @CoalTower said:

Trickster is perfectly viable. Just practice more.

Says the guy who's never played him.

  • Lethal pursuer should show auras until you damage a survivor with a basic attack. Just so it's not a complete waste of a perk slot.

  • @Yords said:

Resurgence - you instantly heal 40% (lvl 1) yourself when being unhooked in any way.

WMI - gives you double healing speed after unhooking

I think this is going to be a bit oppressive, for killers of course.

Just when second wind becomes somewhat good, they introduce this.

  • @Heartbound said:

Did you know that even if you drop every pallet on the map early, as long as you don't go down that you've given your team enough time to finish all the generators?

The only time a pallet is really wasted is if you take a hit and drop the pallet at the same time. Even if you end up using all the pallets on the map your team still has window tiles and if they don't have all the generators done by then, they weren't going to do the generators anyway.

It comes with experience. I've seen chases and been like wow I wish that person would have lasted at least a minute. Don't be too hard on yourself.

"Take a hit and drop the pallet at the same time."

The amount of times I've been hit while dropping a pallet isn't funny. I just can never time it right.

Just a neat little buff and also for consistency sake since he disables items so why not disable perks too.

You'll make Doctor the most hated killer up there with spirit and Freddy.

  • I went from rank 4 to rank 14 as a survivor. My games have been painfully easy. I feel bad for all the actual rank 14 killers I go against.

I'm not sure what I think about this. I like the "Reduce the price of everything by 1000 BPs" part.

But what do you mean by "Perks you don't pick up in one bloodweb do not show up in future ones"? So a perk will never show up again in the future if you don't pick it up?

And also, "More perks appear the higher you level up". That's kind of how it works already. More perks will show op the higher lever your characters are.

For number 2, I mean like, immediately after. So many times does a perk I don't want keep appearing until I'm eventually forced to grab it. It can and will definitely appear again later down the line but it shouldn't appear for a while if you choose to ignore it.

Now that you are reviewing perks and seen the strength of them, Boil Over could use a range increase. 32 meters would be great! That way it actually does something valueable. 14 meters is too small.

    Increase range to 20 meters

    Provide 50% increased struggle effect

    Increase wiggle speed by 25%

  • @dnj510 said:

9/10 times when I get this map, the experience is terrible. As survivor, most gens we ever get done is like 1 or 2. Almost always becomes a hatch game on that map. It's just too small with not a whole lot to work with. All Autohaven maps, being a majority green hue, messes with my perception a lot(I know, personal problem).

Yes, it's probably fun as a Killer to not have a lot of surface area to cover but for killers like Legion or high-mobility killers, Wreckers Yard is a playground for them. I just severely dislike this map.

    Have you played Haddonfield yet?

What's the perk you're waiting to get in SoS?

Infectious fright, Corrupt intervention, monitor and abuse. I don't want to waste my time leveling up killers I don't want to play.

Seeing how plague is the new time killer, I'm heavily considering buying her.

  • @Jasix said:

Yes just like a gen popping - the visual is visible map wide.

    Well then. this is news.

  • @Jasix said:

Well it does send a visual alert as well when you sprint into a locker. So if the killer saw the notification - and then you didn't pop up on their BBQ - they could easily assume you ran into a locker and were still there.

So the visual alert appears regardless of distance?

  • So the visual alert appears regardless of distance?

  • Killer perk: Desperation

As the end draws closer, you grow angrier and desperate at the thought of your prey escaping.

You start the trial with 1 token. For every generator completed, gain a token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 tokens. For each token, after kicking a generator, increase that generators regression speed by 25% up to a maximum of 100%.

I'm well aware this is a weaker version of ruin but I think it would be nice to have a gen regression perk that can't be destroyed within the first 30 seconds of the match and is entirely in your control. Combine this PGTW, brutal strength, and Fire up, the survivors are gonna have a difficult time getting those last two gens done if you pressure properly.

  • @Ink_Eyes said:

I don't get it, we were told this chapter was gonna be lgbt related but I see nothing related to it, is the new killer lgbt or the survivor in some way?

I'm not a headphones person, so I don't use them for this game. I find headphones uncomfortable. But it seems everyone has agreed that using headphones for this game give you an advantage. So is it true? compared to just using your ears from hearing from speakers?

As someone who's hearing impaired, absolutely. I hear everything better not what the sound is directly next to my good ear. Terror radius, hatch, grunts of pain, etc just all sound pounder now.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

At the risk of sounding elitist, but something that grinds my nerves for either side is when people are ignorant/completely oblivious towards mechanics of 'the other side'. Like not knowing what certain perks like Bloodhound do and accusing someone of hacking instead, or walking past bushes on glenvale or midwich for what feels like hours and obvioosly knowing the survivor's around, but the idea they are in the bush doesn't occur to them. (you see this often in 'funny dbd moment' compilations)

I'll admit, I used to be that kind of player when I first started out. In hindsight, I didn't know you could hover over perks during the endgame screen to see what they do for a solid month. I just always left to play the next game. For example, I used to think head on was an intricate part of the game and tried saving a teammate without the perk. Imagine my shock when it didn't work and I accused the killer of hacking somehow. I was a dumb survivor back then.

  • @deckyr said:

that's a normal strategy to ensure you aren't splitting your hooks too much. if you down and hook everyone you see you'll spend too much time and keep people in the game for too long. if you notice it happening then you need to go out of your way to get the killer's attention, otherwise your team's gonna die.

i bet there's a rational explanation for every response to this thread, i'm quite hoping it gets a bunch of traction!

I can how it works but still. At least let me take a hook state for my teammates. I'm more than willing to die for them.

  • @Damarus said:

Honestly, out of all the things you listed, I think he only needs some more movespeed and to be able to hold onto Main Event. But I kinda understand why it fades away. How easily would it be to camp hooks and turn even safe unhooks into two downs, if you had it all the time?

This argument can be made for any killer with an instant down. Oni, ghost face, Myers, Leatherface can all instant down at hooks more reliably than Trickster at hooks

  • @Mazoobi said:

Ok so there's me and... now I'm waiting for the few others to arrive 🤧

I like twins but my major problem lies with Victor. The amount of times he causes a snowball effect is ridiculous. I REALLY feel like he shouldn't be able to down people. It promotes slugging and leads to an unfun experience but that's just me. I understand it's her best strategy at securing kills playing any differently usually results in a loss. That's bad killer design right there.

  • @K1LLR0CKNR0LL said:

I can't stand the trapper. It's not that he's scary or anything I'm just a mediocre survivor so I have alot of trouble with his traps and how random the placements can be. I.e. I'll run to this loop because it's close, and now I've stepped in a trap amidst my panicked scurry 😑. But I love going against nurse. I play on PS4 and I have only ever run into maybe two console nurses that were actually any good.

I hate Freddy. He's just so boring and unfun to go against. At least with a spirit or nurse I'm constantly on edge during a chase trying to outsmart them.

Some of you make me want to go postal 🤬

Was just in a match on Iron Works whilst running Tenacity. I intentionally went down for a Meg being tunnelled by Deathslinger to buy her some time to escape. Of course he ignored me on the ground and kept going after Meg. Anyway, knowing Deathslinger would return for me the moment he downed Meg, I started to crawl away so I could get further away than expected, and out of the expected areas I know Deathslinger would search.

This dumb ass Ash insists on running up to me straight away to try and heal me. I keep cancelling and crawling away CERTAIN of what Deathslinger would do, and KNEW Ash wouldn’t get me up in time. Ash FINALLY relents after a half dozen attempts, once he spots Deathslinger and lets me crawl away. I get halfway across the map, Ash trails me somewhat, I have pretty much recovered at this point (because of Tenacity), and was ready for Ash to revive me, but for some dumb ass reason Ash decides to sabotage a hook nearby once he hears the periphery of the TR. I try to crawl AWAY from what that jerk just did, but then I’m spotted by Deathslinger as he comes to investigate the hook, picks me up.

I was so blinded by rage I just DC. I’m done for the day. I am exhausted by other survivors stupidity. I’m exhausted from the primary reason I am found or I die is because of another survivor.

    Ugh.

I one time was chased by the killer across map for 2 gens. I died on my first hook cause teammates be dumb.

So I wanted to pitch survivor perk buffs or reworks since I did a killer one and I have a buttload of ideas!  (See other forum post for killer perk buff ideas) (PS ignore how it all says 1 1 1 Theres 17 perks there but it didn’t number them properly when I pasted for some reason)

    1. Botany Knowledge - You transform plants found around the campfire into tinctures that slow down bleeding.  Healing Speed is increased by 15%/25%/35% and healing item efficiency is increased by 30%/40%/50%.
    1. Self Care - Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without a teammate at 50%/45%/40% the normal healing speed.  Increases the efficiency of healing item self-heal by 15%/20%/25%.  Increases the speed others heal you without a med kit by 10%/15%/20%.
    1. Calm Spirit - Animals seem to trust you as they often stay calm in your presence.  Reduces the chance of worrying woodland creatures by 80%/90%/100%.  Gain a notification when the killer disturbs woodland creatures within a 12/18/24 meter range from you.
    1. Saboteur - Unlocks potential in ones aura reading ability.  See hook auras in a 56 meter radius from the pickup spot if a survivor is being carried.  Unlocks the ability to sabotage hooks without a toolbox.  Sabotaging a hook without a toolbox takes 2 seconds.  The sabotage action has an 80/70/60 second cool down.
    1. Up The Ante - All will be well in the end; you just know it.  Your confidence strengthens the feeling of hope for those around you.  For each survivor still alive, grant a 1%/2%/3% bonus in all action speeds once the exit gates are powered to all survivors.  This effect does NOT stack. (Could be OP could be decent very on the edge)
    1. Sole Survivor - As more of your friends fall to the killer, you become shrouded in isolation and the killers aura reading abilities towards you are disrupted as your own determination to survive grows.  Every time a fellow survivor is killed or sacrificed gain a token.  Each token grants a stackable radius of 20/22/24 meters in which the killer cannot read your aura in a maximum of 60/66/72 meters.  For each token gain an additional 3%/4%/5% action speed increase to healing, repairing, vaulting, cleansing, and
    1. No Mither - Start the trial healthy.  When injured, receive the broken status effect for the rest of the match.  The killer cannot see that you are broken.  You leave no blood pools.  Your grunts of pain are reduced to 0% at any time.  Grants the ability to fully recover from the dying state.
    1. Pharmacy - You have a knack for finding medicine.  Unlocking chests is 40%/60%/80% faster and the noises this causes, along with their hearing distances are reduced by 8 meters.  Efficiency while healing with a med-kit is increased by 10%/15%/20%.  Slightly/moderately/considerably increases the chance of finding a med-kit.  All med-kits found will be Uncommon or higher rarity.
    1. Vigil - You look over your friends even in dire situations.  You and your allies within an 8 meter range recover from the Exhausted, Hemorrhage, Hindered, Blindness, Oblivious, and Exposed status effect 10%/15%/20% quicker.  Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.
    1. Boil Over - You are a battler and do everything to escape a foe’s grasp.  Your struggling effects on the killer are increased by 75%.  While on the killers shoulder and near a doorframe, corner, or edged obstacle, click the activate ability button to hold on and keep the killer stuck in place for 1/2/3 seconds.
    1. Solidarity - Sharing painful experiences had the power to heal.  While injured, healing a survivor or getting healed by another survivor also heals you and the other survivor at a 40%/45%/50% conversion rate.
    1. Poised - Achieving goals boosts your confidence.  After a generator is completed you leave no scratch marks for 5/10/15 seconds and your aura cannot be seen.
    1. Babysitter - While you have a reputation for being self-centered, you risk it all to help those in need.  When you unhook a survivor, the unhooked survivor leaves no scratch marks or blood trails and gains a 150% speed boost for 3 seconds.  You see the killers aura and the killer sees your aura for 9/7/5 seconds.
    1. Any means necessary - You stand up for yourself, using whatever’s on hand to gain an advantage.  Press and hold the active ability button for 3 seconds while standing besides a dropped pallet to reset it to its upright position.  Any means necessary has a cool down of 100/80/60 seconds.
    1. Off The Record - You’ve learned the quiet approach is sometimes best.  Once unhooked or escape from the hook, Off the record activates for 60/80/100 seconds.  While off the record is active, your aura will not be shown to the killer, you will not leave pools of blood, grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 100%, and any loud noise notifications you may make will not trigger.
    1. Red Herring - You’ve noticed people pay attention to whatever makes the loudest noise.  After repairing a generator for at least 3 seconds, it will be highlighted to you with a yellow aura.  The generator stays highlighted until fully repaired or another generator is used.  Any loud noise notification you make will appear at the generator instead of your current location.  Red Herring Can only be activated every 60/50/40 seconds.
    1. Visionary - You’re remarkably focused on your means of escape.  You see generators auras within 32 meters.  Anytime a generator is completed you and all your team mates will see every generators aura for 15/20/25 seconds.

Well those are my ideas for perk buffs or changes survivor edition!! Also keep in mind these aren’t supposed to make every perk like A tier it’s just to give suggestions on small or big buffs. Also camaraderie was gonna be on here but I just couldn’t think of a single thing that wasn’t insanely OP or just as bad as it is now.

Calm spirit becoming SFTS? Im all for it.

God the entitlement of survivors is sickening and gross. "Whaaaa. I don't want to do ANYTHING but stay on gens and get out ASAP ! How dare you make me do totems !" Oh right..You DONT have to. And if you get NOED because you were lazy and didn't do totems. Then so be it..Why do killers have to EARN everything and EARN their killers ? Do you realize how much harder that is then being brainless and hurr durr holding m1 and the occasional W key ?

Wow. Way to completely ignore the arguments made and instead just call me an entitled survivor because you have no real counter arguments other than childish insults.

Even though both do the same thing object is objectively better then distortion since distortion is limited to 3 uses, while object has unlimited uses and an added effect for when your the obsession.

So will object destroy distortion and make it completely useless and obsolete? What are your thoughts?

Buff distortion to where everyone a gen is completed, you gain one token.
