Is annoying as hell to deal with as killer and it really just reminds me that a lot of survivors really aren't in it for the fun

This only usually happens when you're tunneling so yeah, stop tunneling.

  • @hardtimefun said:

The DS issue is fixed in the next chapter and so no need to complain about it anymore.

The next issue is Spine chill, a perk that literally tell the survivor "hey the killer is coming, time to hide"

no matter who the killer is, normal or stealth killer, you know the killer i near you so you gtfo before they even arrive and you most of the time don't get caught.

Is it really fair that a perk that require NOTHING for you to do at all, to let you know you will be at risk very soon and it's time you hide? a perk that tells you hey a sneaky killer is on the way even if their power means they can't be detected, this perk tells you about it.

How is having a 36 meters danger warning perk fair?

Just imagine 1 second a ghostface or wraith or anyone other small terror radius or stealth killer vs 4 survivors but each survivors have only spine chill, how long would it take you to ever find one survivor if you decide to look around for idk how long?

As soon as you go away the survivor will go back at his gen and if you double back they will know and go hide again and they know perfectly where you'll come from this time so they will hide properly, 3 gens done looking for 1 survivor.

Spine chill NEEDS a nerf, like it or not, it does, it gives way way too much information for free and it affect every single killer no matter which one it is, making stealth killers totally useless against them

Spine chill should only work in a 16 meters range, and if the perk should still reveal undetectable killers it should be half the range, so 8 meters for undetectable killers, this way the perk will save you from a grab but unless you have sprint burst you will take a hit most definitely.

If a change like this happens, survivors might consider premonition a better option at this point since it will tell the survivor precisely where the killer is with a cooldown, which is still 32 meters, so premonition should also be changed a little bit because since it's spine chill little brother, nerfing spine chill will fix nothing since premonition will take it's place.

Premonition should be 24 meters, and reveal the undetectable killers in 16 meters range, that gives the survivor an extra 2 second to run into the pallet or window to avoid a hit, the cooldown however should be tripled so it can't be spammed too much since it reveals undetectable killers further than Spine chill.

    thanks for reading

Pls don't nerf spine chill. I'm hearing impaired and it really helps me because I don't hear the terror radius that well.

As someone who loves the healing perks, I tend to run WGLF, Empathy and Solidarity along with Autodidact. If you’re not a fan of Solidarity then We’ll make it tends to be a good choice (although can counter autodidact as you have less time to get skill checks).

Borrowed time is a great substitute if you don’t have Jane Romero or you just don’t like the perk which I wouldn’t blame you for.

I would use Solidarity in the place of BT....

    IF I HAD IT.

I don’t really care what people think but when you play Bubba, use the chainsaw as a crutch, face camp, NEED NOED and still can’t get the job done, you’re just about the worst killer there is.

    Change my mind.

I literally got bubba for bbq. Had a game where I didn't face camp, didn't tunnel, didn't use NOED, and a survivor still had the audacity to complain, messaging me I'm using an OP killer and have a baby peen. This just proved to me no matter what you do, survivors will be salty.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

For me Slingers cool, Nurses not the best usually, and Freddys makes me 😔😔😔😔 i see them the most also Bubbas also cool usually.

On the other end Twins, Hillbilly makes me sad I like Hillbilly, Hag haven't faced a true good Hag always the Noed campers, and overall stealth killers. Oddly I see Plague commonly.

Freddy and Spirit are usually not so fun to go against but red rank Nurses? I hate them. HATE THEM! Nothing gets done and before you know it, were all dead.

  • @redsopine00 said:

The obsidian goblet instead of making you undetectable when on a trail hitting a survivor with punishment of the dammed torments them

On Midwich, I like to run a long trail of torment down the middle of the map with Goblet so I can stealthily move to the other side. The amount of times I've run into survivors not paying attention is hilarious.

  • Survivors will usually get 4-5 gens done before you even reach tier 3 if they play smart. I think they're faair given the fact you have to completely throw the game at the chance of immediately killing all 4 survivors.

  • @boostedsurvivormain said:

Wait, so you're saying you don't want Monstrous Shrine three times in a row?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1913196#Comment_1913196

If you had taken it the first time it probably wouldn't have shown up the second time, because haha, getting the same perk twice in a row? What sort of fantasy world would that be?

If you had taken it the first time and it showed up again and you'd taken it the second time as well it probably wouldn't have shown up the third time because see above. But if it did? And if you took it the third time? It'd never show up again.

I always make sure to plan out my Bloodweb buys so that I can always get at least one perk when there are two on offer, prioritizing ones I actually want like Whispers or BBQ and so on, but if my choices are between two perks I don't really care about I'll take which ever is already the higher tier and if they are both the same tier them whatever add-ons I like best along the way.

When there are three or more perks on offer I make my plan and put them in and order from first to third slash fourth. Get the first one first of course, then if the second choice isn't consumed I go for it and if it was work on getting the third. Learning how The Entity eats up choices is key to getting what you want most out of each Bloodweb. Sometimes I can ever get everything I want but that's rare. Also important to realize when Perk hunting is if you buy tier three of something that's one less Perk to randomly show up so I've often bought Perks that I'll never use just to get them out of the way to give other Perks the chance to spawn.

It finally gave me Ruin and BBQ after reaching level 49. Now to pray the bloodweb let's me level em up quick.

  • @Mr_K said:

    Might as well go P3

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

I played a game that wasn't going so good for me. I get pointed and teabagged at every opportunity. My breaking point was the whole team body blocking me when I finally got someone down. Now I hate facecamping but I went full payback mode against these survivors. Hooked An Ash and watched as the rest came to me like moths to a flame. Got them all down and got the 4k. Thing is, they only had to do one more gen and coulda escaped but instead wasted their time doing unsafe hook after unsafe hook. It was stupidly hilarious.

  • @NoObzBoiYT said:

Trapper is boring to go against and barely have counter playing during chase. Plz nerf

Basement trapper is the way to go. You'll laugh at how easy it is to secure kills because survivors can be stupidly altruistic.

I'm fairly new to the game, but I've been a fan of it for a long time. I don't have a character above level 21, so I don't have access to any teachables yet.

I don't have many killers, so I would like to know which ones to power level for their perks.

Some basic strategies for killers in general would be appreciated, and strategies for good ol' Pyramid Head would be even more so.

Don't send survivors to cage unless you absolutely have to. For example, you can immediately chase after another survivor and get them down. I find it better to hook them until I can Mori them on the ground. It only takes a second after all.

  • Sometimes it better to live to see another day than die trying to save someone.

  • I always let the last person escape as a congratulations for being last survivor.

  • @Kazim said:

it's very sad when you die for noed it's true but that means you only know how to repair and you don't know how to loop

I do know how to loop. Just not very good at it yet. I wouldn't be a red rank if I wasn't at least somewhat competent. There are games where I do successfully lead the killer on long chases. I just hate NOED ruining those chase by letting the killer getting me down for free.

You need to go. Stop gen rushing. NOED is there for killers that never had the opportunity to get a sacrifice due to gen rushing survivors. Get over it.

I never mentioned gen rushing??? i specifically talked about actually working hard to survive games only to die to crutch perk.

I hope you realize with matchmaking the way it is no, you can't just "Do Bones". I'm red ranked and get matched with all sorts of people. Usually very low ranked survivors and killers. Brown ranks don't know what totems are and they're way to scared to actually go into the open and cleanse them. If I'm running around making saves AND doing gens because everyone is self caring on the other side of the world in what universe do I have time to do bones? You don't.

NOED needs a change. Don't remove it, but change it. Rank 1 on both sides and I never use NOED. Even when I started playing I never used NOED. It's a cheap perk that rewards bad play and everyone knows it. If I play badly during a match how is it fair to anyone that I get 2+ kills because of one perk? It's not.

Had a game last night against a Huntress with tier 1 NOED. 2 consoles and 2 PCs. Consoles died farming themselves off the hook and not knowing how to loop at all. Me and the other PC had to do 3 gens by ourselves. We literally Ping Ponged her between gens just to get them done. The game took over 35 minutes (Consoles died in less then 6). We popped the last gen and went to separate gates only for her to M1 the other guy and facecamp them on first hook until they died. We played as best we could and 1 perk screwed the other guy over. Now granted, we could have done bones after that gen had popped, but we'd been in that one match for over half an hour. If we spent time looking for all of them we would've been in there for lord only knows how much longer.

That killer did not deserve the last kill she got and in no other PvP game (Feel free to correct me) is there a system that allows that.

Finally someone with a brain. Thank you for explaining it better than I did.

  • I'm a red rank with only a few months experience. Try again. I just really hate NOED in general.

  • @Momentosis said:

You're super new to the game(going through your post history). You just gotta get better.

And do bones. Doing bones isn't inefficient. If your team is decent you have way more than enough time to do bones. Try running a full hex build as a killer. You'll see all your totems blowing up minutes into the game(unless again, you're against bad survivors).

Also you say it rewards the killer for being bad? It also rewards the survivors for being bad. If they're so inefficient against such a "bad" killer that they can't even do bones during that time, then they ######### deserve to get hit with noed.

I'm a green rank disguised as a red rank with only a few months into the game (I can't make it past rank 4). I'm good but not as good as the game thinks I am. I provided my reasonings why just "Doing the bones" isn't an efficient strategy. I play solo so how good my team is a roll of the dice. More often than not, they suck.

  • @tariousx said:

    Do. The. Bones.

100% Counterplay guaranteed. Every single time.

You have time. If you don't think you don't, y'all need to learn to be more efficient.

We all know NOED is strong when it's up but it's not that good.

    I'm. Solo. Queueing.

This means it's a roll of the dice if my teammate are any good or not. More than often, they are not

Not really if everyone spreads out then at best he can teleport to 2 gens in the time it takes for the other people to do 2 gens possibly 3 if he chases and gets a down and hook on the first teleportand that person can keep him busy for 30 seconds.

Then my teammates bare ######### incompetent. Far too often does he always spawn to a gen I'm at when Im just about to complete it while others are doing ######### all.

  • @SaltyNooty said:

Yeah, you read the title and i'm not going back on it. Unfortunately, Freddy is too powerful and makes this game P2W. It's grown so bad because his whole entire GAMEPLAY is a crutch and rewards bad tactics and behavior.

Personally, I hate it when I get camped, tunneled, slugged or any of that BS because it leaves a sour tatse in my mouth but Freddy is the ONE killer I cannot STAND because they do EXACTLY this and there's nothing you can do about it, he's quite literally God if god was a nightmare. It's everytime I see him, I literally want to quit or DC; that being the only thing that keeps me going is to avoid the DC penalty. I know everyone else has felt this frustration of Freddy. He's the literal EPITOME of "Lol, easy character hurrdurr." I cannot being to explain how many low ranks i've seen playing as Freddy demolish the floor with people.

Before I go on, I want to state that it's not a skill issue. At this point, and this not me being cocky either, it's that I've looped almost every killer for 2+ minutes straight and they were all in high ranks; like rank 1 and 2 but then when I get into a match with a rank 17 killer, somehow they do better then those red rankers which I find impossible to believe. Suffice to say, I have confidence in my skill TO play the game and loop killers, inb4 the trigger happy people want try and put me in my place, i'm not taking challenges; I might be confient but i'm not going toe-to-toe with some people that just emanate "I will beat your vss six ways to Sunday in 5 seconds." Back to the main topic though.

Those low rankers USUALLY play as freddy which leads me to believe Freddy is completely Brainkek'd, he takes 0 skill to use and is a complete crutch for newer players. He can TP cross the map (namely to a generator which is OH so annoying.) Place dream pallets and snares which do jackshmt for us; allowing him to cut off looping in seconds and which certain perk and add-on's it becomes a living hell to even get one generator done.

Not only am I confused on how Freddy can be this powerful but i'm also infuriated. He easily eclipses MANY killers just by base Freddy alone and with perks, he stands at number 1. He's the hag if the hag was a literal god. Inb4 the entitled 'I want my 4k/Killers show up' before you say anything, do not say 'Skill issue' or anything along that line; what I want is pure criticism on why Freddy should be nerfed or removed from the game. I know for a fact i'm going with remove him as a goddamned total cause i'm really fed up with him.

His teleportation is free map pressure with no downsides. That's what I hate about freddy. All he needs to do is run any tracking perk and gens will never get done.

  • That the tracks we left behind while running were bright red scratch marks that could be seen across map. I thought I was leaving behind faint footprints.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    I really hate this perk.

    I hate it a lot.

    I don’t care about DS.

    I don’t care about Unbreakable.

But Head On needs to be deleted because of the absurd, disgusting ways SWF on comms can abuse the ######### hell out it.

You truly can’t understand how abysmal it is to deal with a constant barrage of coordinated Head On stuns until you come across a team doing this to you yourself.

    Every chase? Interrupted.

Every down and pick up? Saved by a Head On stun.

“oH bUt aT LeAsT tHeY’Re NoT dOiNg GeNs!” It doesn’t matter. If every chase takes an absurdly long time, and so many hooks are denied, then the survivors can take as long they please to do the damn gens.

Unless fortunate enough to down someone in an open area, Head On is infuriating.

The big problem with this perk in a SWF is that there’s no reasonable way for a killer to work around the perk during a chase or when picking someone up. Lockers are far far too numerous on some maps for a killer to be reasonably making sure to keep a good distance from EVERY locker during a chase.

And those god damn lockers at the foot of the basement. Jesus please, they need to go!!!

Anyway, rant over. Delete Head On so it can’t be abused by SWF anymore.

I got hit by a 4 man SWF during my very first few games as legion on mount ormund. Needless to say, I didn't play Killer for a long while after that. If your fun compromises the others, there's something wrong.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

Even tho in the past I discussed why some times killers must camp, survivors don't seem to understand that, most of the times. I'll give two similar examples:

A streamer played against a controller swf and proceeded to literally destroy them as huntress. After each unhook, the unhooked and the unhooker would eat dust because he managed to predict them perfectly. They came in chat and told him to let the last survivor live, but didn't show mercy and proceeded to also destroy them. They came in chat and said, and I quote: "Play huntress on controller if you want to play huntress fairly" and "controller survivor is far more difficult than pc survivor" and the usual stuff, camp, tunnel, speedrunning games, you know the drill.

I was so impressed with their stupidity, I really was. Mostly because, the streamer started as a controller gamer, so he did have controllers killer and survivor experience. Also, if you think huntress is unfair as a controller gamer, why don't you just disable crossplay? "Speedrunning games" is just a compliment tbf and every accusation of tunnel and camp can be dismissed if you rewatch the vod.

Now let's give a different example. I played hag against an OoO gamer. I hooked one person and proceeded to destroy the cocky OoO user and downed them as well. The survivor was close to second stage, and the OoO user was on their feet. So I naturally camped the hook to secure the second stage, and then hooked the OoO user. Post game chat: the survivors ######### admitted that they ######### up and that this was the right thing to do as killer against an OoO user. Now that's what I like to see!

My point is, that there are the absolutely good and kind survivors, that understand why a killer camps/tunnels in certain situations and some survivors that will flame you for playing on a different device than they are, even tho there is a setting which they can manually disable crossplay

When I work hard to survive a game, successfully evade the killer many times, repair multiple gens while my team does ######### all, only for me to die to NOED while everyone else escapes, yeah, I'm gonna complain. I'm gonna complain HARD.

  • Have you ever played a game that was so bad for the survivors, you wonder what the hell went wrong? No gens and 2-3 already dead five mins in because they got overly altruistic or just suck in general? I almost immediately recognize these players as new. When I encounter these games, I stop playing seriously and let the remaining win cause I don't want to be a dick. It might suck for those already dead which I understand but permabannig is taking it too far.

  • Fellas. Is basement trapper toxic? I've started making trapper and find trapping the basement is my best course of action to secure kills.it doesn't always work but when it does, it's mad easy.

I mean matchmaker is usually bad, but it's not really playable atm without a full SWF group.

I tried playing with a friend, and we keep getting like brown rank 20s with no experience at all, and red rank killers that see this and tunnel the living hell out everyone.

It's impossible to escape other than by hatch right now like this. I didn't think this games matchmaker could get worse; but something seems to have broken since the rank reset/BP event started?

I've seen a HUGE increase of NOED in my recent games. Five games in a row as a matter of fact. It's gotten a little annoying at this point.

  • I used to think this game favored killers over survivors. Then I actually played killer. I suggest you do the same. It's eye opening.

  • Since BBQ was designed to discourage face camping, why not make a perk that discourages tunneling?

    TASTE FOR BLOOD

You have a morbid fascination with the blood your prey spills and crave more. You become obsessed with one survivor.

After landing a basic attack on your obsession, you gain bonus BPs up to a stackable of 8 tokens at 4/8/12 percent increase. Hooking your obsession will cause your obsession to change to another survivor and their aura will be revealed to you for 1/3/5 seconds. Attacking a survivor who is not your obsession will cause you to lose 3/2/1 tokens.

Idk. I thought of this on a whim but I think something with this basic premise could work nicely if implemented properly. A dedicated killer getting 8 tokens with a 12% increase will get a max total of 96% BP increase in all categories. Pair that with BBQ and an escape cake and you're basically rich though the risk of using on with BBQ is that you won't get to see who's your obsession.
