  • BNP got its necessary gutting.
A flashlight rescue should take some risks to be performed, which is exactly where it's at right now. Either you take risks of a killer's feinting and eventually take a hit, or you don't risk it.
It shouldn't be a garanteed try in open areas.

  • The best idea EVER, we totally want people to basement camp with LF anyway.

Survivors shouldn't be able to turn.

The classic non-argument of a surely non-biased survivor main, right ?
Next time, pick one of the list :
"What am I supposed to do ? Run in a straight line ?"
"Killers just want an easy 4k"
"This game is killer sided because devs spoonfed them"
    "Looping is a mindgame"
    "Killers can pallet loop too"
"Just pick Enduring, it counters DS and Pallet looping"

    We love non-arguments like that.

I don't understand why everyone says he's fine... isn't he low tier?

He's not low-tier. He's actually rather mid-top already in proper hands, along with Myers and Huntress.

    Hello everyone!

I as a killer main would like so see pallets being reduced. I want to see more skill in this game and have a question, Why was 360 juking removed or nerfed? Did something happen to it making it harder or impossible right?

I would like to see 360 juking again. It was a fun skill people could have and it wasn't buggy and it was playable. I'm pretty sure that reiterating 360 juking would mean a lot to survivors and give them actual means of escape without getting toxic killers in the after-chat. 360 juking means getting a ''wp man. Nice jukes'' in the after-chat

360 is exploiting latency to look like you're teleporting from the killer's perspective to make it harder to aim for him. Not an actual intended mecanic, as the game is supposed to tell you to STAY AWAY from the killer, not to "dodge his hits consistently".
Not sure how it has been nerfed, didn't see much difference lately, but if it has been, it's a good thing. The killer's FOV is confusing enough as it is.

  • I'm not sure why you think this guy needs a rework in the first place.
He's actually rather allright as it is, and slowing him down in treatment mode would kill most of his shocking plays to block pallets and vaults, which would make it WAY LESS interesting to play.

An actual rework would be to give him some add-ons to slightly speed up his zapping so he could actually have proper uses of it in chases.

@Runiver can you post that magical "...K" gif here please? :')

I usually use that one for threads with 0 arguments just trying to force things out of nowhere because "reasons", or pure bait threads lol.
This guy actually tries to make sense somehow, even tho he doesn't seem to fully understand (like most surv mains) why camping is a necessary feature in this game, that already has a counter and such. Camping is one of the only situation where the killer has some kind of control over the game, while the rest of the match is basically in the survivor's hands. Allowing survs to "freely rescue" would truly turn the game into a benny hill fest of toxicity.

  • @douggie123 said:
This post goes out to all campers if you don't like to be camped then why do you camp. I have just been in a match with somebody who when one of my friends camped them they didn't like it but they have just legit camped me hard. What the hell is wrong with them.

I camp and don't care about being camped.

    Tinkerer ain't super strong anyway.

lol hes super serious about this game and thinks hes an insider. All the things hes saying come from the dev streams that you can watch yourself if you are bored.

I'm far from serious about this game honestly, I play this very casually.
I just dislike people saying bullshit.

  • A camping killer is supposed to hand a free wins to other survivors.
But most survivors try to force it their way by refusing to simply let the guy to die. And that's what makes camping powerful.

Camping is actually rather annoying, but also a necessary part of the game sadly.

Since i've seen people asking :
The last TESTING ITERATION OF DS devs had was basically a 3 seconds stun while being grabbed, that DOESN'T MAKE THE KILLER TO DROP THE SURVIVOR, STILL ALLOW WIGGLING, and LOCK THE CAMERA IN PLACE for the killer, allowing a friend to eventually flashlight save if he's around.

It's still in the testing, and they NEVER said it would be the version of DS going live, however.

    Are you a secret developer?

I just talk to devs on a daily basis on our discord servers.
We got 5 of them on our servers now, and some of them like hanging around since we made it to be a friendly place for them, and they can actually ask questions to people and having quick feedback about it without toxicity and such.

I have a question for the devs and survivor players. I also play survivor but don't use this tactic and got to rank 1.

When is pallet looping getting a nerf or are pallets going to be lessened? Something against pallets would be nice. Brutal Strength won't do since it got nerfed to the ground. Would be nice if the % went back to 30% or 40% like it used to.
Only Nurse, Leatherface, and Billy don't really have issues with pallets but the rest of the killers do. Ok maybe Huntress as well but that's it.

Something has to happen. And infinites are still in the game. Take mothers dwelling and then take the front door, I think. There are 2 windows on opposite sides in a small room. That's called an infinite.

Pallet looping needs, indeed to get limited to some extent, because it's basically a pure waste of time while not providing any interesting gameplay. More mindgames should be involved in the chases.

Brutal Strength doesn't deserve a buff. Especially since it doesn't fix looping at all since looping happens BEFORE they drop the pallet. Survivors DO need the extra distance/vision breaking time.

Infinites aren't in the game anymore due to bloodlust, however, some juking spots are a "no no" for killers because they basically just waste too much of a killer's time for being worth chasing at, aka Coal Tower window, Rancid abattoir side window, and such. These have been reported to devs and are being looked at, at the moment.

Would Coulrophobia and the new sloppy butcher work together? or would it not make a difference to the healing speed if i only chose Coulrophobia?

Coulrophobia is mostly useful on killers with a huge terror radius, which aren't legion. Mostly only viable on Doc, and possibly infinite T3 Myers with Dead Rabbit + Distressing.

  • Devs didn't state any date, so there's no way to know.

  • I prefer the design of Trapper, but the gameplay of Hag.

Hag is way stronger in proper hands.

Way too strong. Would make Ruin basically a pure bonus, rather than a bet, considering its strength.

    @Ihatelife said:
Or maybe the survivor who destroyed the totem is affected by the ruin for the rest of the match

As usual, I dislike this idea.
You shouldn't be affected by destroying the totems yourself.
Others, however, could be affected. Example :
Cleansing the hex totem could give the cleanser a repair buff speed (like 30%), and would put a malus on all other survivors (for example, 10%). It would force people not to clear totems in front of the killers, and it would make the totem to be an actual objective to find in the early game for survivors.

  • The point of it automatically activating as you sprint, rather than on activation, is intended for it to have a downside.

  • Used to be like that, before patch 1.3.
Guess what ? It have been abused heavily by survivors just staying in the trial, exploiting the speed buff to farm evader.

7% movement speed is actually huge as it nearly doubles (and even more for slower killers) the time the killer needs to actually catch up with a survivor, allowing them to loop for extended durations.

Basically : No thanks, it has been nerfed for a reason.

  • Longer fatigue, yaaaaay! Fun times!
I dislike nurse in the current state, but making her more tedious isn't the solution.

I've just bought the last 3 killers I didn't have, because I want to try them, and to get their perks. Who sould I level up first? And do you have any advices for using them? I've already have ruin btw.

Pig : Ambush can actually be used in chases.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Di_ixvw19mU
This guide is actually really good for getting decent at her.

Hag : Don't trap gens. Trap juking spots exclusively, and hooked person (1 trap). Learn your trap placement. Get a good strategy, do not try to cover the whole map with traps. Pick a side. Get good perks (Aka Monitor and Abuse/Nurse's calling, eventually Make your Choice) for her. DON'T CHASE NORMALLY UNLESS YOU'LL QUICKLY GET RESULTS, use your TRAPS nearly exclusively in chases

Clown : Get Brutal Strength. A lot of people early drop pallets against him due to the slow. Don't forget to try to slow them as they drop so you can reduce the distance they cover after dropping as you break the pallet. Don't aim for survivors directly. Aim for juking spots/ways the survivors are gonna take.

This video is a decent basis for a beginner killer.

  • Toxicity is a pillar of that game.
This game lives from abuse and shaming for the most part. And memes, alternatively.
    Doubt it's gonna happen.

  • I kinda like this idea. Would be nice to see what you did wrong as killer, especially, and what you could have done/Where, or to understand where/how you lost that specific survivor.

  • Has been suggested several times. Not sure why it's not in-game yet. Just losing a few BP (sometimes close to 0) and 3 pips (while most people do not care about rank/actually want to rank down) is just unsufficient.

  • I blocked survivors in the basement today again.
    It didn't change at all.

  • @Zet395 said:
I wanted to ask another question today to my fellow killers out there. What do you think of the Clown? Not just as a Killer, but in general. This means lore, weapon, personality, model details, perks and playstyle. I want to know what you all think of him in general! What do you like and what do you dislike?

    He looks good.
His playstyle is rather fun, but lacking heavily in the pressure department.
He has one of the best chase mecanic in the game. Possibly THE best chaser in the game after Nurse.
Very low map pressure and not a great camper tho makes him rather weak competitively talking. But for casual matches ? Pretty good killer.

  • Bugs are usually not bannable.
    Over-exploiting them tho, is, usually.
Sharing them is even worse, and very bannable.

  • DS will get nerfed, in time.

  • David for WGLF is good.
    Claudette for Self-care.
    Meg for Sprint burst.
Then whatever you like the most.

    Most people do it.

The point of the nerf is to literally not have multiple bursts. This would keep the meta the same to give vigil that effect, and would prevent what they are trying to make which is diversity. Dh still good when used twice.

It would help with other Exhaustion perks too though. If being able to get multiple speed boosts in a chase relies on using a specific perk then that's a fair trade. There was nothing necessarily wrong about getting multiple bursts in a chase, the problem was that it was so frequent and easy. With Vigil there would be a trade off at least.

    @Runiver said:
Too bad it doesn't affect the main exhaustion perk issue :
    Sprint burst.

They could have just left the exhaustion recovery and just give a condition to SB to balance it out with other exhaustion perks.

I thought this until I played with it. Exhaustion change really kinda doesn't affect other perks all that much, just SB as far as I have experienced, so it's doing it's job.

I did play it with SB yesterday. I found it rather beneficial overall, mostly because it allows SB to only be available with it matters. You can just run over the map while it's on cooldown without having the risk to activate it again, and you basically now have it most of the time you get unhooked.
The small downside is that you possibly don't get it as often if you keep running into the killer, but it's not that grevious, at least not considering how I play it

  • Too bad it doesn't affect the main exhaustion perk issue :
    Sprint burst.

They could have just left the exhaustion recovery and just give a condition to SB to balance it out with other exhaustion perks.

  • It just depends on my day and mood. Sometimes I don't feel like letting anyone survive, sometimes I just let people to live for no reasons.
The constant being : Toxic Teabag + Flashlight or OoO = Hard camp.

If you want it to be "fair", also give directionnal hooks to killers then ?

lol wut? you wanted vacuum pallet deleted. doing the same to hooks is just fair. hooks are not directional, thats why they are hooks. do you want a carousel or what?

    btw iam main killer.

Hooks are directional for survivors, and not for killers. That's all I say.
If you want "real fairness" without second thinking about actual mecanics, then yeah, removing the vacuum would be nice, and adding directional hooks for killers too.

no why? why would that be fair? look how many hooks you have on map. if you cant get a hook this way youre definately doing something wrong.

That's just applying your logic of "fairness". "If you remove X for survivor, remove it for killers too", so I just say "if you allow X for survivors, allow it for killers too".
If you have trouble accepting that, you're kinda biased in your reasoning, and you just want to nerf one side, simply. There's no "fairness" in that.

ok and why should they get carousel hooks? if i follow your logic survivors should have something thats smiliar to it? even when thats not my logic, i would just prefer to balance it at all and that means it have to be a equal game experience for both sides. i think killers have a safe 95% chance to hook someone. no killer is entilted to free kills. we have to work for it.

Survivors do get carousel hooks. In exchange, killers do have hook vacuum. Sounds fine to me.
Killers should anyway be able to hook once they catch someone unless people come for an eventual rescue since he earned that hook.
A killer is not having a "free kill" since he had to down a survivor first, then carry. It's not "free".

  • Don't directly aim for people. Either condemn windows, or throw them in pathways and loops they are gonna take.
Equip Brutal Strength, as a lot of people do early drop pallets against him due to his slow.
Get BBQ if you can, as he's a decent roaming killer and a pretty average camping killer.
    NOED is also a plus.

  • @Rozenlied said:
So, I used to main survivors for a long time, and I didn't play the killer side for a long time.
I won't lie: I used to and I still loop and abuse flashlights when I play them, but Jesus Christ, I played killed today just to be harrassed by 3 premade players abusing flashlights and pallet looping.

I passed at least 2/10 of the trial time being blinded, and another 1/10 being looped. I was playing Huntress and even with a good aim, I couldn't put any survivor on the hook for the majority of the game because the other two teammates of the one I downed would blind me from both sides.

Also, they started harrassing me for abusing lagswitch. First of all, they started the game with 300+ ping each, and there was only one dude that had a decent ping in my room. All of them except that one were really laggy for me, and the one that harrassed me the most was a Claudette that was almost teleporting. Besides teleporting, she had Dead Hard, so it was almost impossible for me to hit her.

I would like to talk about SWF too, but the Devs don't seem to care about it and they still think SWF is healthy for the game.

Because they think it's part of the balance.
    As simple as that.

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 38
