The thing is, VHS has so many Tools that help you with all of this Stuff. You get so much Information. But the difference between playing Solo and with Friends is till so Huge.
I learned that after playing VHS a lot since its Official release. It wasnt as big in the Betas since there were less players so you would run into the same People again and again and there was way more Communication between Players.
I have talked to a lot of People who stopped playing DBD and it all comes down to the same thing: MMR
since the introduction of MMR Games have just gone from Casual Fun to playing as efficient as Possible on Both Sides. The Fact that you didnt go against Good Players every Match made the Games more relaxing and not so Stressfull. But since MMRs Introduction playing well is just punished with getting "better" Opponents and thus making you Sweat harder and harder every Match.
I want DBD to bring another Casual Gamemode in wich you get paired with Random Players for a quick Que not looking at any of your Stats.
And then Ask after every Match how fun it was. Then Compare Both the current MMR and the Casual Gamemode in therms of Fun against each other.
Sure. DBD is not gonna be as beginner friendly. But at least its fun. And thats what Games are for: having Fun. I dont wanna come Home after Work and do a second Job. I just want to play some Casual Rounds.
Yeah I forgot about MMR. That's a problem on its own, though. I think this changes will be good regardless of MMR. Of course, they would be better if there were separate casual and ranked gamemodes (and tweaking how MMR works in ranked).
@TheWheelOfCheese said:
I don't have a problem with these changes but they also aren't going to significantly fix solo q. You can't information-buff bad survivors into good survivors.
That's true, but it's a matchmaking issue related to MMR. But I think these changes will be good at any case (obviously, they would be better if they also fixed MMR).

Why is deathslinger not there? Most annoying killer by far. Out of the ones on the list, I'd say the artist

Could you please tell me what AWS stands for? I´m sorry
Amazon Web Services. DBD hosts the games there. To be fair, games are playable with 100 ping. I'm from Argentina and I play with that ping sometimes (although I mostly play with 60 ping). It was way worse before we had dedicated servers (that was really unplayable). Anyway, there's no solution unless we stop having ######### economies. Brazil is the only country big enough to be worth investing on.
-
Surprised no one mentioned monitor & abuse on myers. That's a must if I'm playing him
-
It would be quite confusing to play a right-handed killer and then a left-handed one. It's unnecessary.
-
With dedicated servers this could be avoided. Just make it so you instantly join the game when you search, like almost every game. If you disconnect, you are penalized with waiting times for playing, like LoL. This way you are forced to play fairly.Peanits said:@Tzeentchling9 said:

People would just leave lobbies and requeue to play with their friends.

Since you're new and don't know a lot about the game, I'll try to explain how to play against the things you mention, I hope it's helpful

1) You have to grind a lot to get good perks, I recommend you to level up Claudette for self-care first. You chose a character with mediocre perks, the best Kate perk is dance with me. If you combine it with Lithe and/or Quick & Quiet you can get away easily. There are useless perks for killer's and survivors, too. Another thing, I don't recommend you decisive strike, it doesn't let you improve by giving you an unfair advantage. They will nerf it soon, too.
2) So you're saying that there should be 7 hooks on each map? That's ridiculous, the killer couldn't be able to hook anyone before they wiggle out. Remember that generators are not destroyed, they just regress slowly, you can touch the generator to stop the regression. Also, remember that it's 1v4, the 1 has to be more powerful.
3) Generators are already done too quickly in high ranks, this idea would be really unbalanced. Besides, the killer can't insta-kill someone, even if they have a motor, they must hook at least once.
4) The crows are there to prevent afk people, you have literally no reason to camp as survivor, even if you do, crows only appear after a while. Camping as killer is punished, if your team is intelligent, they will do at least 3 gens while the killer camps. If you don't want to be camped, wait until someone's injured to repair a gen.
5) You actually run faster for a bit when you are injured, I don't know what you're talking about. Remember that you can lose killer's or gain distance with pallets and windows, this change would make the killer useless.
6) Again, remember that the killer is the powerful one, as a survivor, your job is to run and make him waste time. You can dodge a killer attack with a perk called dead hard.
7) This is ridiculous, freddy is the worst killer in the game, and pig is quite weak, too. Everyone agrees on that.
My advice is that you play the game more, you will slowly improve. You should also play killer, it will help you to understand the game better. By playing both sides, you will learn how to play against them. When you reach rank 1, you will realize that the game is actually survivor sided.
-
You can't regress a gen after it's completed.brokedownpalace said:I would be okay with the delay after one gen is completed before another could, IF when survivors 100% a gen it stays at 100% and can't be regressed.
It would be pretty lame if you did all the work to complete a gen, move onto the next one and the first one is sitting there for 18 seconds and then the killer comes over and kicks it at second 19. Now you're halfway across the map a third of the way through another gen and you have to abandon that one to go attempt to finish that gen again.
This would be especially problematic on small maps, with Tinkerer, and against Nurse, Doctor or Hillbilly. -
It's a situational perk but it's really good if used with Lithe, Quick and Quiet, or both.
-
You shouldn't be a "main", just play both sides, many people who post here do that.
-
From my experience anything below 400 ping is playable, but it may seem unfair sometimes. Anything below 200 is really good.
-
You click on your name on the top right. That will take you to your profile, at the right there's a button to change your picture.

If too many Survivors DC, then it's time to play stealthily, the way the game was intended.Game is more balanced now, so in a 1v1 situation, the killer has the clear advantage. It's obvious the killer will win if the game is balanced around 1v4. At this point the best you can get is a hatch standoff, which is boring both for survivor and killer. That's why I think the game should guarantee you a black pip, so you don't get punished unfairly.
-
If you want to control when to run faster, use dead hard, lithe or balanced landing. They are situational, but you can choose when to use them. If you could have a button for sprint burst, the other exhaustion perks would be useless.
-
Nurse, hag and clown are better than hillbilly if used well, I don't see why he needs a nerf.
-
If the terror radius only works on one floor, then it's a buff for the killer. You can hear someone working on a gen below and just drop for a free hit. Also, imagine the last three gens are on one floor, the killer can just be on the other floor and hear if someone's working on a gen. The map is actually not that bad, I personally have trouble finding gens, but it's possible to win. You need to know where the loop spots are, there are at least three I can think of right now. I'm saying this as a rank 3 survivor and rank 9 killer, so I'm not killer main xD
-
I think they implemented the store to pay the rights of the game to Starbreeze. Maybe after they finish paying the prices go down.

My idea to to add an item vault for survivor and killer to save those most precious items such as ultra rares and even event items like the spoopy medkit and flashlight and if course firecrackers. Killers would store offerings.
Items can be transferred to the vault for a small amount of bloodpoints every time. These items can be stored for any survivor/killer to withdraw any items.
Or use them before you prestige??
Just another less complicated 💡If you have limited items like the firecrackers, you have no way to get them again. It's nice to keep limited items, at least they should not dissapear.

I always thought that juggling was meant to be done near hook. Didn't know you could do it forever before.Master said:@facundoj said:

Gen tapping is a strategy even devs are fine with it. But is it worth it I mean you complete the gen so much slower than doing it normally hitting those hex skillchecks.
Funny that gen tapping is a strategy, but juggling wasnt considered a strategy, but rather an exploit such that the devs fixed it.
You can still juggle. In fact, I recommend you to do it against DS, if you can.
You cant, the wiggle meter fills so the survivor gets a free escape after the 4th juggle and still has DS. Before they introduced that, you were able to juggle as much as you want

You save 20 seconds with BNP, and then you keep the toolbox to progress faster. This takes the time required to repair a generator down from 80 secs to 55 secs, or even less. I think it's really good.
-
I don't know if it's related, but I've had a bug that made survivors not able to heal me. I was in dying state and died because the killer didn't want to pick me up and noone could heal me.
-
You can end chases really fast, worst of the cases you'll be with 4 stacks all game. Many times you'll get 8 stacks, which is almost the old machinegun build.
-
Save the best for last is really good now. Unrelenting and Play with your food could use a buff, though.

Ok thanks for the adviceMrrgle_the_Mediocre said:On the tier list, Clown is the strongest. Hag has the best perks, Ruin especially. Pig falls behind honestly.
With Clown, your goal with the Bottles isn't always to hit the Survivors, it can also be to corral them in several directions making it easier for you to catch up with them.
With Hag, always place your traps around a difficult loop or in a hiding spot, it can catch them off guard really well.
Pig is interesting, she has a pretty low skillcap imo. Though something really fun to do is to Tier 1 Myers someone by walking up relatively close to a generator while crouching, then turning the corner and uncrouching to pull someone off. It isn't reliable, but it's satisfying.

Some survivor saying he wouldn't rescue me if he saw me again and that I'm a noob and bad player. Just because he was hooked and I escaped instead of rescuing him versus a camping nurse.

I liked an idea from another thread, wherein people who DC'd would lose one perk they had equipped, and so would have to purchase it from the bloodweb again.I think implementing these two ideas would be enough to stop DCs. The current problem with DCs is that there's no punishment for the ones who do it. What is more, they keep their items. Maybe it would be too extreme with just one DC, because you could have had a problem in real life. However, it could be done so people who DC twice or three times a week get this punishment.
-
You can prevent every loop that includes windows, I think you should try it at least.
-
I like this idea a lot! It would be great to analyze the game after it finishes. It could also come with an option to save replays, maybe.
-
Yeah they should release a hotfix update just to fix. All the devs do it on their games, I don't know why this devs are always so slow.

Well the strike post did mention about the killer strike back in early 2017.There will always be toxic people and those who cant handle change, even so both sides are still at it, you have survivors screaming about the patch and giving negative reviews just like killers did when Freddy got nerfed and you have killers posting bait threads about salty survivor tears, those doing any of those are simply children who cant be over 18+ so i dont even know why they are playing the game.
The difference is that this is a little nerf. Freddy's nerf made him useless, noone plays him now.
-
Some lobbies are bugged and you can do nothing about it. Devs have admitted they messed up matchmaking.
-
It is bugged, devs have admitted. If you are one of the unlucky people who have the bug, you have to wait a lot. I also have the bug and I've only been playing survivor.

I think it would change the core of the game too much. It wouldn't feel like the same game. A balance update is a tweak or new mechanic that complements the core mechanic, not changing the game entirely.I do truely hate to point this out...But that is the point. Right DBD could use a true over haul in gameplay. Part of the reason it was in the title of the thread.
Maybe it could be considered for DBD 2, but I don't think it would be good to change the game so much. Nice idea, though

-
I think the hatch should be completely removed. Something more fair would be that when there's only one survivor left, some gens are powered until there's only one left. The three remaining gens would be far away from each other (this could be done unpowering already powering gens, or making special gens for this situation). Then the survivor have to repair one gen, and after that gates are opened automatically. This would be fair because the survivor would have to hide, and the killer would have to patrol gens and guess where is the survivor.
