So yeah. But if it is as simple as repair speeds are hampered for 60 seconds I think that'll be alright but a bit boring
-
@daLenster It isn't that I hate DS I like the idea of a brief moment where you can fight back against the killer. But the way it is currently set up, it is just ripe for abuse outside of what the Devs clearly think it should be. They either need to change their wording on the stance of it being an anti tunnel perk or focus it harder into BEING an anti tunnel perk.
-
I mean, I see DS being used as a safe guard to finish a gen RIGHT infront of the killer at least in 33% of my games since my return. Clearly not what it is intended for. Which is why I made the thread because I find it annoying.
-
@Nescau That is fair enough. I just wanted to make a point that I don't like either Devs, but one is able to pretend to save face. But after some time to sit I know BHVR is no where near as bad as Blizzard. Which I am STILL boycotting until april
-
@Zonedymo Why not?
-
Just because it isn't likely to happened. Doesn't mean it hurts to ask. I mean other Battle Pass Track offer the less worth while rewards. Like in games like Paladins. The free track has dead zones but nearly as many as DBD does.
-
@Claudettethesavior
If you're an American citizen then you are American. Any one that tries to add anything else is either trying to feel special or is trying to sell you a form of snake oil. The same applies to just about any other country as well.
-
did you also notice Davids Lion Tat on his I believe left forearm? Turns out David is very much into his home town.
-
I have to say. I think you're on to something with the chase thing. But I think 30 seconds is WAY to short. Good survivors would eat killers alive if it was just get chased for 90 seconds get a free hit.
My suggestion would be every 45 seconds you run the killer or every 1 protection hit you gain a token, It becomes active after 4 tokens.
-
Agreed. The hiccup for me is...What is the other condition. If they make it too easy we circle back around to it being a major KILLER problem, rather than a minor survivor problem. We don't want that lol.
-
Good point. I was thinking about it anyways and I think Wraith and Clown shouldn't get deep wounds but Oblivious when they strike survivors with their power effects. Just fits theming for them a bit better.
-
@T4ank3d I will give the guys above a bit of credit. One thing BHVR has shown is that they are very very very very bad at picking 'safe' responses to even safe topics lol. Unless we want to forget the Civ 4 and pretty good job so far.
Don't get me wrong I more agree with you than them.
-
@Pulsar It is more of a beaten in cynical nature. The games community as a whole really has made alot of just nervous about anything
-
@Nhekii There were several leaks that is on their todo list, and I'm inclined to believe them as every other part of the leaks were right. If I had to guess the leak made them double back on that as it had back lash.
-
@Aven_Fallen Did you purposely ignore the whole context of my post?
-
Dude, You need to calm down. I'm not saying the game is going to die. But that doesn't mean I agree where it is heading. You're also actively ignoring the biggest of my issues and that is how much control a very bad company has over our beloved BHVR
It is more than just the ruin change. The ruin change is just a cherry to top off all of the issues.
-
Instead of addressing ruin properly with a change to gens like so many people have been asking about they just nerf ruin into the ground
Instead of properly addressing match making they want to hide rank all together to obscure it not working at all.
All they ever throw are band aid fixes in perk slots. The whole of the long standing community have been wanting proper fixes for awhile now but it is just we're working on it or here is a perk that kinda fixes the current problem with the game.
-
@Nhekii Well it doesn't seem to be in a bad state right now. But just looking at the direction the game is starting to take I'm starting to feel like long time players are actively being ignored in favor for new more temporary blood.
Plus as I said Netease is NOT a good company, To know they have any type of say in BHVR and DBD scares me.
-
Makes more sense than a lot of other killer skins.
Candle Wraith, Several Nurse skins, Santa Clown, Day of the Day legion, Ballroom wraith, Strong Man Trapper, Mad Max Trapper, Bird of Prey Huntress. Plenty of skins which borrow from other cultures apart from where they come from.
Knights and Samurai played VERY similar rolls in their respective cultures.
-
Thank you. Sorry for posting with out reading the whole thing. Was a bit tired and just skimmed. I'll wait a bit longer.
-
Update, It has Now been 9 days since I've opened my ticket and no one has even looked at it as far as I know.
-
@TheBean Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. Charms a stupid and Survivors get the short end of the stick when it comes to Charms.
Battle pass is just dumb by default, but Archives are good.
-
Okay. I'm confused. Is BHVR functioning on like...a five man team or something? I don't know that much about how many people they have working for them but this is getting out of hand. This patch offers up NOTHING. A buff to perks NO ONE RUNS! Those buffs aren't nearly good enough to change that...Maybe. The Tap perk change might see it getting more use
But right now this is just ######### gross. This Drizzle of adjustments is NOT enough. They need to take more extreme approches to their their PTBs. Anything that is CLEARLY a bad idea during can be cut, anything with merit can be put on the shelf and worked on over the next few months. It is like this company is too scared to roll back ideas or try adjusting a lot of things at once. But if they do it on the safety of the PTB, it could go through some cleaning before hand and filtered out!
-
Also thought about reworking it all together. The idea of like making fire up more like classic tinker.
I.E. Every finished gen improves your powers Charge time, Cool down, setting time, etc by 3% and that be Fire up.
-
I'm already made a thread about this. But behold!
First
Ping: using the ping button while looking at a Gen, totem, pallet, or trap, snare, or locker in 12 meters you'll reveal the aura of that inject for 3 seconds in a 36 meter area to all other survivors
Perk change for this
Vigil: the range in which you can highlight objects is increased by 3/6/9 meters and you can also ping fellow survivors allowing their aura to stay visible for 30 seconds
Object of obsession: you can now ping the killer; alerting and revealing your aura to the killer for 12 seconds; if you're not the obsession you expose your self for 10 seconds. This can only be done every 120 seconds
Open Hand: states it works with sense pinged auras
Deja'vu: Anything you ping besides the killer, will get automatically ping another 1/2/3 times every 30 seconds after the first ping.
Street Wise: Anything you Ping will stay highlighted 1/2/3 seconds longer and keep the standard effect
Detective's Hunch: You gain five tokens, you and use one token by hitting the killer with the ping key to cause all other survivor's to see an alert of his current location
Bonus side effect: Blind status will be treated as more powerful thus buffing it
Second
Communication Wheel
By holding down the communication button or pressing the corresponding hotkey the survivor will say 1 of 10 voice lines beatable clearly at 6 meters, faintly at 12 meters and unhearable past that while heath, injured, and not in chase. While hooked, dying, or in chase voice lines can be heard from 24 meters clearly and 36 meters faintly.
Voice lines are

@DudeDelicious Sure, Sure. But as stated before. That is very vague and very unreliable. The map does next to NOTHING to help solo players keep up with SWF. This way the map is still useful as a much stronger version of the Ping/Aura sharing system in the sense that the time it can share with add ons isn't limited to the base system but as long as you hold down the button.
Hopefully you see that the map is just outdated and useful compared to making it a core gameplay system for the purpose of improving over all balance.
-
I do hope that the Devs see this then. I know it still has a lot to iron out. But it is a good start. As for Speech bubbles. It would be very hard to fit the theme of DBD with speech bubbles. They might just have to call in new VAs the only one that should cost a bust in the Bank is Ash's. Cause that IS Bruce Campbell
-
I was thinking that maybe the base time of the aura reveal could increase to maybe 4 or 5 seconds.
-
@Madjura of course it won't be proper. But it is about narrowing the massive gap.
-
wow, A lot of support going on in this thread. I'm shocked, did I finally suggest an idea EVERY one can agree on lol.
-
@csandman1977 that is what I'm trying to fix with the idea. If solo gets on par with swf with comms then they can balance it around better
-
@DudeDelicious Sure can. But hardly something that allows every solo player to be on par with SWF is it? It is just a glowing beam of light with no context. Helpful only rarely.
-
I didn't say they could get to rank one. I said they are almost never there, and when they are. It is a risk to go out of your way to pick up traps across the map where there are NO gens to guard just for ONE trap. My goal is to increase the number of trappers I see at high ranks. Simply improving the hit box will not do that.
-
So far a lot of good ideas already tossed out in how to possibly fix the totems. I love it.
-
@LordGlint That is very true, But I do believe it things like the limits for that type of thing should be listed in suggestions.
But that is a VERY good point. If you leave the setting of totems in the killer's hands then you can increase how far totems HAVE to be.
-
Sorry, The grind is good. But there is WAY to much. Simply saying the Grind is good because it keeps you playing is like saying bread is good because it stops you from starving to death. But you know what I would like to make a sandwhich with things other than bread and I don't want it to take 30 plus hours everytime I want to make a different sandwhich. Let alone using a new type of bread. See the problem now?
-
@DudeDelicious Just because they are sweaty toolbox SWF doesn't mean they aren't still potatoes lol.
But legit it isn't just for the sake of killers. This isn't fun for either side, I would like to see them add something that made them do more running around. Like make gens over all take less time to repair. Say 60 instead of twenty but add like an extra two step steps to it.
-
@ShrekIsHot I have to disagree, The with the cooldown and other counter play features given to feral. I think this would just be a quility of life and choice of play style change.
-
@Bbbrian2013 That isn't remotely true, It just improves the gameplay for more people and is destroying a barrier to entree it would be so much better for the game's health to reduce the grind. (Not get rid of the grind.) But as it stands it took me well over 60,000,000 Blood points just to get ONE ######### perk I wanted on my doctor. That is WAY to much.
-
@xChrisx that is such massively flawed logic. Just because the grind is the "point" doesn't meant he grind needs to be ######### aweful.
-
@Fab did you have time to post up your idea?
-
The problem with that is you would have to also place it for ever tile set spin about rotation of each map. I think it would be better if it works almost as an inventory thing. You as the killer get five totems and you can set them down much like you would a bear trap
-
@LordGlint said:
Would be nice if Killers had the ability to hide the totems themselves before the match started. Would be kinda reminiscent of adding furniture in The Sims. Give the killer maybe up to 30 seconds to choose totem spawns. Its really painful though when you spawn in and see that the bright burning ruin is 5 ft away from a Gen and within LOS of it. Other games, you load in and see its in an area that the survivors have no reason to go anywhere near...you just KNOW that totem is staying around.
lol. Unless they spawn ontop of it.

I think it is our own fault, if we want any killer on P3. After all we get through the prestiges a higher number of rare addons. So I think it's fair, if you have to grind a lot of time.
But it is WAY to much right now. You missed the part where I'm okay with the grind. But not at this level. It is starting to boarder on Bad Game Design. Also the Prestige "buff" to rare addons is hardly note worthy enough to toss away a full build of great perks.

@Shad03 said:
50%/75%/100% Bonus Bloodpoints in the Brutality category.
Then we would need a Bonus Bloodpoint perk for the sacrifice category.
Monstrous Shrine. Duh. lol

@Rex_Huin said:
I think they have gradually made some of the tier 1 and 2 perks more useful and this helps with the grind a lot. A lot of them now work the same as tier 3 but just for a shorter duration. I do agree though its a pain to go through a whole prestige and not get what you want. But I have to be honest having done so much grinding in this game I would be annoyed if they suddenly made it easier to get what has taken me the last two years.
I mean. That is much more of a personal thing. I don't think it would make you stop playing if suddenly it was made easier.
-
@se05239 said:
Or you could remove perk levels altogether. Would also solve a lot of the perk grind.
But I've had ALOT of people yell at me over the internet that would "ruin" the game. Because what is the point of playing if not for the grind lol.
-
During the match for those who are wondering. We already have a great after the match BP increase in BBQ. But sometimes I just want to rack up BP and it is crazy how hard it can be to get Brutality. At least sometimes. I finish most of my matches with about 3600 out of the 8000

Correct. If your internet / laptop are bad enough that you consistently get the lockout it shouldn't be an hour ban
It should be permanent, if you are consistently ruining the game for four other people because your internet or laptop are garbage then go play singleplayer games. Alternatively you can get it fixed so you are not getting banned for ruining other people's game constantly
I have to STRONGLY disagree, Most people would get the clue after the 30 minute ban and would wait to get things fixed. You're asking for a nuke choice for something that is out of hand of people.

The first half of your suggestion is whatever, I guess you could implement that and maybe it would work, seems fine
For the second one: Blocking people out of queue for 5 minutes is NOT enough
It should be MINIMUM an hour. If you have a legitimate reason to disconnect (for example, something is on fire) then the situation is unlikely to be resolved in 5 minutes. Make disconnecting hurt by having the minimum be high enough for people to care
I've felt the pain of the rare spotty internet before. I've been banned from other games cause my laptop started to act out suddenly and shut down one to many times. I like the start of it being a slap on the wrist. But maybe you're right. The first should be a ten or fifteen minute lock out.
