That was a different thing, the rank reset happened earlier than planned for many players, they received the rewards as well and a compensation too.
This is just a visual bug that reverts after a match.

If you want to report a cheater, you need video evidence and a Support ticket (https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new), the in-game report is not enough for this kind of offenses.
When the ticket asks you the SteamID64, you can simply type the name they were using in game, being them from a different platform, and explain it in the description.

Sadly no, technically if you still receive points from a match, you are not at the cap, but I understand that's not a great way to check it.

As you know, on steam you can change your profile name whethever you want, so basically if you haven't played any bubba game with that specific name you wouldn't been recognized elegible for bubba shard despite having played him.
Just a theory, hope it can help figuring out the problem.
That's not at all how it works, this game is on multiple platforms and there is a CloudID linked to your account, why would they use the username of only one of the many platforms?
I'm sure they will find the issue and you (and I as well) will get your shards.

You will get your progress back, yes, and when relinking, it merges the progress.
To be specific, when merging, it keeps your highest level characters, so if you have for example a level 20 Meg in your original account and you get her to P1 level 32 after unlinking, when you get your progress back it will keep the P1 Meg.

You need the SteamID64 only if you are playing on Steam, consoles and other platforms have no way to get to the profile by clicking on the name, so you just need to put the nickname on the report and mention in the description that you are playing on a different platform.

I'm trying to find a mute system in there because all night survivors from cross play have been sending complaints like using billy's saw and I'm not joking.
But as long as you have the name they will continue.
I'm sorry, but again that's not BHVR's fault, usually those systems have a way to either block incoming messages or mute them.

This is through xbox social, Idk what that is if that is the microsoft store or xbox since it says xbox I assume that.
I don't think that's the case, but if there's actually a messaging system between Xbox and Steam that I'm not aware of, then that's on the platforms, not BHVR.

They do eventually come to the store, it's at least 6 months between the rift and the store release, but could be more than that.

The team is indeed investigating the issue, I'm waiting for Mandy to start her work day to know if we need more IDs or not, so in about 3 hours.

If that makes you feel better, I haven't received my shards either.
That said, the process couldn't be prepared before the removal of the masks, that's why they waited for the patch, I'm sure they will solve the issue for those who still haven't received their compensation.
