It's not so much SWF killers are worried about, imo. It's the advantages people stack on it.LegitAdventurer said:Both sides have written this invisible rule book for the opposing side:
Killers be like: survivors arent allowed to use SWF, or flashlights, or fireworks, or cosmetics, or Decisive Strike, or toolboxes, or Dead Hard, or...
Survivors be like: killers aren't allowed to use No Ed, or camp, or tunnel, or use leather face, or the nurse, unless they're a noob, or use Mori's, or...
I don't get it lol.
If there was no SWF survivors would just lobby dodge until they were in the same lobby as their friends, and still stack the advantages.
These advantages are largely chat that isn't included with the game to organize into something the game isn't balnced for.
The game is balanced around 4 solos who don't chat with the others. The game is supposed to be anti social, and it's why we have perks to communicate with eachother like Kindred, and Aftercare.
I'm sure if the overwhelming majority of SWF played without organization, and chat, we might not have as much of a problem.
But they don't. So they get dodged.
-
Yeah, I refuse the pregame invites, too.powerbats said:@Rebel_Raven said:
They probably shoot chat invites on PC, too.
I've gotten voice invites put into lobby chat pregame before but I don't ever join since those are almost always going to end badly. Those are also pretty rare on pc at least I've seen may'be 20 in all my time playing.
Now postgame I've seen around 40-50 and usually those are flamefests waiting to happen and they arrive just before Steam friend requests do. I've actually met some nice people via Discord that way but most of the time it's COD chat.
It seems so wrong, and slimy. I wouldn't talk, and would try not to use any info to my advantage, but I'd love to know what they're saying.
I'd love to think they're rare on ps4, but honestly, I don't know. My trust in people is slim to none, though. And it's really easy to send a chat invite.
Post game I get the rare one. Weirdly of the few I got, most ended pretty ok even though it was because of people complaining I was camping when the last gen was up, or the gates were powered.
Or the odd instance when I have to tune my wifi. -
Yeah, it really doesn't help stealth. But the wild hair with the face with the red marks on the burial kimono looks pretty intimidating, IMO.
-
That is similar to my usual Huntress build. Beast of Prey, Thrill of the Hunt, Distressing, and Whispers. Don't have bubba, nor BBQ. Other killers haven't had the luck in RNG.Speshul_Kitten said:

Maybe let people go if you are going to depip. Hook, but don't sacrifice, or something.
No need to bully them.
Frankly going down just to merc less prepared survivors, and you have no chill, it is kinda scummy.
And I honestly cannot think of one good reason you should go back to rank 1.
8, 5, maybe so you're not annihilating people looking for fun and still having some, maybe.
Distressing
Thrill of the Hunt
BBQ
Bitter Murmur
at least two people escape my games, best of all I’ve had one t bagger since the rank reset. Everyone else is a gg message or don’t start anything.

Why is this such a problem? Lol. I mean I do this, the faster I ready up the less time the killer has to dodge me. Unless i'm up taking a bathroom break, washing dishes, vacuuming my house, cleaning, etc. In my 20 minutes of down time hanging out in lobbies between games lol.
Well, some survivors, there's always one, It's virtually guaranteed there's one, that will run the clock.
Some wait until just before the 6 second mark to switch characters so the killer gets locked in.
Knowing that at least on ps4, they can use the time to party invite to use PSNs (see 3rd party) voice in that amount of time, I get a bit paranoid when they run the clock.
They probably shoot chat invites on PC, too.

Would be nice but they blew the budget paying John carpenter to follow Myers with a keyboard.
-
Double edged sword.
With base survivors it's arguably slower when they gang up on a gen because they get less skill checks.
Most gen rushes have the survivors spread out, and the gens go off rapid fire.
-
That and it would throw balance right out the window.megdonalds said:Ingame voice comms would literally kill this game the same way F13 got killed. Nobody needs 10 year old kiddies who permanently yelling in their mics. And it would be also annoying to have to mute everyone in every match.
Jason is leagues better equipped to battle people on voice comms than any killer in DBD. -
And the survivor should come with a Hispanic mom killer armed with a chancla.feechima said:@yes said:
Maybe an African American girl? The only black girl we have rn is Claudette and it's nice if we had some variety.I'm hoping to see a Hispanic girl. If DBD is looking to include multiple ethnicities , it's about time.

I don't want to buy the DLC.
That means bubba will pop up on daily rituals. I don't want to play as bubba.
-
I like the characters. All of them. Some more than others but all of them. Especially the originals.
The variety, the customization, the back stories.
The lore is nice.
I like progression.
I like the game in general.
I feel like once properly balanced it would be the only pvp game I like. So far it is also the only pvp game I feel at all interested in.
The hunt, the chases, the stealth. -
Hell yeah, I'd do it.
I might chase them, and injure/slug (not all of them) to maybe make things interesting and get more points all around, but in the end, I'm likely to just let them go.
Of course that can change if they want to be a dick.
-
DS removes a lot of pressure the killer has in general.
The threat the killer poses at that moment to the goals of the survivors drops sharply. -
Believe me when I say I feel for you. It does suck when you can't play with friends.micsan said:@Rebel_Raven said:

Basically never. I'm not some hardass killerI might get a sacrifice or two. 3? maybe. I do need blood points, you know.
Like I said, I'm not 4k crazed.
I'd rather let a person have the hatch unless they've been toxic. I'd rather avoid a hatch standoff.Like I said, I'm a goofball casual.
Well, getting a 4k is the equivalent of everyone escaping...Not to be a dickhead, but...If neither of these things happen in your games or seldom do, what are you complaining about? Your games sound like they are exactly where you want them to be, getting two maybe three kills.
What more do you want?
Sidenote, if you have been lobby dodging every SWF, then you will most likely be in a rank where even solo survivors are extremely strong compared to your skill level. A rank 20 SWF is like a rank 15 solo group etc.
You are doing yourself a disservice by ranking up too quickly, because you are dodging SWFs which is one of the main reasons most people lose pips.
I am complaining because SWFs are usually tryhard as hell, abuse match making to get easier games, and abuse external help (I.E. external voice chat) to gain an unfair advantage. This proposal is geared towards making me play these people, or I get longer wait times.
The fact that SWF is getting more and more common is making things worse. They will make me regret every Auric cell I ever bought. Or make me survivor only.SWF tilts things badly towards 0k-1k. I may as well AFK against these people. It makes it really hard to earn decent blood points, or do anything. Zero fun.
And being in lower ranks, I'm a prime target for these people.I'm not doing anything to look for easy games.I'm not some depipping rank 1 veteran, here.
I'm looking for -fair- games. Once I know the deck isn't being stacked against me, I don't care too much about what happens win or lose. That's what I want. Problem is SWF taints that badly.Yeap, I slowed down playing a lot lately. I don't even consider trying to outrace rank reset.
And I agree, SWFs often do play well above the rank/skill of the killer they vs. Usually because they mix ranks to the point that they have several colors in their team.
This is problematic because I have a crap amount of perks, a near insignificant arsenal of addons, and almost zero Mori.
It's not a matter of improving skills, it's more getting fair games, and seeing what happens. SWF basically makes that goal a joke. I know what will happen. They will have a big brother runner, or two, likely a full color or two of rank above me, they will get super immersed by broadcasting my location so they're hard to find, and they will coordinate like hell to make sure I get stomped. In short, I'd like a lot of fair games. I play casually, not sweaty. SWF is often not fair. This proposal is deciding I get punished if I dodge unfair/SWF games.

I've started to suspect that most of the SWF squads that are left are the most toxic ones, I know our swf group is dying. None of us have the time to spend 15 mins in queue only for someone like you who think we are a toxic sabo squad dodge us and we spend another 15 mins in queue, just hoping that the next killer won't dodge.
The whole dodging thing, is making the SWF squads you meet, more sweaty. Because only sweaty people are willing to spend 15 minutes in queue for the off chance they get into a game or another 15 min queue. I also want to play casually, both survivor and killer. But these swf queues are making me not want to play the game at all, killer, solo, duo, whatever.
That being said, I was beyond extremely disappointed and sad that they did not fix the queue with yesterday's patch. Either they didn't fix it, or it is simply too late because most people stopped playing already. I'm not playing this game until they fix the queues and I know I'm not the only one. I've stopped purchasing anything in the game, I bought Legion and Jeff with shards just to save a pretty penny. I refuse to support this game when it will not let me play it with my friends.
I recognize the necessity in SWF, and don't want it gone.
I can definitely see your point in SWFs getting sweatier because of the long wait times, but I feel like they put themselves in that position to begin with by being sweaty, toxic, etc.
If I didn't constantly run into squads looking for easy games I wouldn't have a problem with SWF.
I do recognize that not all SWF are like that, but at the same time, I don't see enough that aren't.
It's not fun to vs them, and it isn't worth the low blood points after. Basically kills my 2 motives for playing.
15 minutes is awful generous.
Most SWFs just want to gen rush, and get to the exit so they can teabag me until I chase them out.
And they get salty if I do anything that offends them like camp when the gens are done.
They're shooting for easy games, and if it isn't easy mode, they get upset.
Too few actually want the game to last.
I'm in a similar boat. I play killer and survivor. The queue time for survivors are rough. And I only solo which is weird.
The killer games are full of SWFs looking for quick easy games.
I don't look forward to spending more auric shards either.
-
Wait until your team dies, or escapes if you need to know it that badly.
Iirc, there is no flag for solo, and swf so the game can't tell apart solos and swfs. -
Huh. Thought it was just a free hit to put someone into dying state.
-
No. I would probably have seen a bare boob that didn't belong to the Hag, and survivors would be able to fight back.
I tried watching it, but it was just a bit too brutal for my liking.
DBD is inspired by old slasher flicks. 70s and 80s stuff.

Would he become Panini man, and team up with Taco man?

Sadly, it won't happen. SWFs would not get as many matches. They know it, and live in denial why, usually.

I read your opening post. It's very much a punishment for me. You'll either force me to play in matches where the deck is stacked against me, or increase my wait times. How is that -not- a punishment?

A punishment would be a ban of one or more days: I speak of seconds or minutes of forced waiting. It is not a punishment for the dodger, but a relief for the other players, who will not end up repeatedly with them.
Nah, it's punishment. Either I have a stacking wait time, or I go against people who are likely going to be toxic, or at the least play above my rank.
There's absolutely nothing in this for me when I play killer. I only solo as survivor so it doesn't really do anything for me either.Frankly if it's a relief for the people who want to make my killer games hell, and/or low on profit, then to hell with it, and let them suffer.
Let survivors suffer as much as they'd make me as killer.I'm not giving them the satisfaction of smurfing, or taking advantage of the matchmaking just so I can get Merc'd.
-
Doesn't bother me. It's just more transparent survivor tactics.
I only use it to try and bait campers. I'd prefer to do a gen in sight of them though. -

Yeah, before I took my break they got a bit more common.
They were still here and there before that. -
Nobunaga's ambition: sphere of influence. The ascension spin off. Wish officer and free mode were permanent fixtures of Koei games.
Steep.
Sims 4.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
Spiderman
Looking forward to senran kagura reburst, Rico, and Genesis alpha one.
A few more I don't know off the top of my head. -
None of the above. I like a killer somewhere between average, to just short of really good.
I feel like I have a chance right up until the end. Win or lose, I like that best. The chaos. The uncertainty. Can I possibly stealth well enough? Can I sneak to get the gen that opens the hatch?
Mystery. Chaos. These are the best in games.
I don't like curb stomping killers.
Out of those, though?
If they're goofing off or farming, though, I really like that, and will let them hook, or even sacrifice me if the mood strikes me.
Outlast is a refreshing change of pace, even if I am not the last.
Really hate 1s. Usually no fun. No chill sorts that, frankly where I am probably depipped like hell, or rank reset hit.

Your arguments are extremely poor. I don't care if I refute them or not because they are meaningless.powerbats said:@Rebel_Raven said:
You just wasted a lot of time saying a whole lot of nothing, there.
I mean that was pretty pointless.
"Wah! Excuses! How dare you complain about an unfun tactic, and defend someone who didn't play robot perfect with a stacked loadout!"And?
It's not full of holes, you're just grasping at your usual "take responsibility, git gud" approach that is basically useless against me because I don't have the sort of ego you hope I do.
I have enough sense to see that gen rush isn't fun, and killers aren't all robot perfect players with perfect loadouts.
I have enough sense to see that this game isn't perfect, survivors aren't all angels, and not everything is entirely the killers fault.Translation you once again CAN'T refute my points so you resort to more of the excuses and deflections.
It's amazing you say you have enough sense but then go the typical troll route and use logical fallacies like they're candy.
You claim you know yet when the killer screws up it's not the killers fault it's the take responsibility deflection.
When the killer does good, it's not the killer was good it's the survivors were potatoes excuse from you.
Each and every time you come up with excuses, deflections or blame anything but where the problem lies in that situation.
Oh and I've faced some rank 2 killers today running no perks and no addons and they still managed to 3 and 4k us because they didn't play like tru did in that video.
Proof that when the killer plays right they win oh and the people on ehre that 4k as perkless Freddy say hi oh and Monto says hi with his over 100 straight 4k games.
If I'm trolling you, then it's unintentional. If you don't like it, stop replying to my stuff. Simple as that.
Killers don't always play robot perfect, and/or have the perks you'd recommend.
Not sure why that is so hard for you to grasp.
I didn't say ######### about survivors being potatoes, or most of the other stuff you heaped upon me over the past few posts, bluntly. I'd appreciate it if you didn't lump me in with other people. I am an individual with my own view.
Your bravado doesn't mean ######### to me. At all. No one's bluster means anything to me.
Infact the better you do, the more out of touch you are with what I run into which really hurts your arguments. We're looking at things at 2 different ends of the spectrum.
Again, your bravado means jack ######### to me. Especially if you can't prove it. Relying on it so much is going to make it harder to just take you at your word.
I've stated my point clearly. I'll do it again.
Killers don't always have the perks you would recommend, don't always play perfect, and survivors are not Angel's and are capable of unfun tactics. -
Agreed. I wish everyone played both sides some, and got more in the middle on issues with both sides.
My fav killer is Huntress. First killer, and she's got an ok base kit that let's me run what I want for the most part.
Spirit is up there. Solid base kit though she is in a bind right now.
Legion/susie. Not great with her, but her super villain colors look rocks.
Pig is a fun pick. She needs to vault, though. She just looks so small, and agile, and has the trench coat to flow behind her while she does it. Kinda weird seeing her smash pallets.
Hag is cool. Not a fan of any of her cosmetics though.
Survivor wise?
Min is my top pick. Minus the competitive streak I can relate in terms of being objective minded.
Nea is up there. Especially with her cosmetics.
Kate gets play time because RNGeezuz was good to her. Her cosmetics are ok, too.
Meg has nice cosmetics, but RNGeezuz wasn't as good to her, and I just keep wasting my sprint burst. -
I don't believe that will do well.
Gen rush is usually faster when everyone is on a separate gen, and they will just do separate gens once they realize this perk is active. -

and did you play PTB cuz if you want more nerf for SWF the only thing that i see its bond and kindred not a perk but as a kit
That's not really a nerf to SWF though, SWF players don't need bond when they can just communicate and tell the others where they are.
Tru3Lemon is correct. By giving at least kindred to a basekit for all survivors the devs can go harsher steps to nerf survivors in general cuz the gab is closet a little bit more. We need to allow survivor buffs in order to nerf swf. But a lot of hardcore killer mains don't get it.
The only correct step adressing the SWF/solo thing is implementing ingame voice comms.
The problem with that is killers in DBD are hard pressed to keep up with the speed of voice chat. They would need serious buffs to do so. Especially since a lot of SWFs prey on low ranks.
-
It's mostly the sweaty immersed SWFs that are making me take a break. They're pretty damn constant, and consistent.
Ugh. Just watching SWFs on YouTube is revolting some times. Watching how unnaturally coordinated they are.
But running into a few leatherface that chainsaw me on the hook, and keep it revved that bother me.
Oh, and survivors that just get annihilated the instant someone gets hooked.
Still love the game to bits, though. Not many pvp games I enjoy.
-
Yeah, the people that enjoy going after newbies and making their trial, nevermind blood point gains suck.
Worse is the newbies are precisely in the position to be targeted.
-
I can see him being underrated. Guy has solid addons, and his base kit is good, too.
His perks are decent.
I just don't like playing as the guy. I doof up a bit too much cloaking, and uncloaking thanks to the bar.
... and his legs are weird. -
I'd love bot matches, personally.
The closest thing we have now is splinters on the killer side blood web.
They work like offerings and let you play as a dlc killer. -
Nah. It might look like it, though.
I mean i got into a trial and I was rubber banding like hell. I couldn't escape.
I got hooked, and no one was coming to save me, so I tried to Kobe, then the lag messed up my struggle.
Got accused of rage quitting, but it was not the case.
-
Yeah, hate it when that happens.
As a killer I goof off, and get what points I can. Play at being serious some.
As a survivor, I wish more killers acted that way, but they just treat it like a dog seeing, then eating bacon more often than not.
I mean I kinda appreciate wanting to put us out of our misery, but we aren't getting points out of it that way. -
You just wasted a lot of time saying a whole lot of nothing, there.powerbats said:@Rebel_Raven said:
People making excuses for the gen rush saying he wasn't running perks, or some such. You do know there's killers out there that don't have optimal perks on all killers, right?
People complaining that he made mistakes, well [BAD WORD], we are human.
Blaming him for not playing ultra optimal at all times?
So a killer has far less margin for error? Also hindsight is 20/20.
Moreover watching a game is leagues different from playing it.Speaking of people making excuses you just dropped some big whoppers of ones.
We're not talking about other killers here but nice Red Herring there since Tru has all the optimal perks and he chose to play without them or addons on a mid tier killer.
Well that's funny since quite often you people use Tru and others as examples when it fits your argument but now it's he made mistakes because he's human.
Again you use him and other streamers as examples but when he's doing well as a killer it's because the survivors were potatoes. It's not because they weren't playing optimal or that they're human and so make mistakes.
Oh good grief the excuses are so bad it's funny, stop making excuses for why he did badly.
Also more excuses since if he did that as a survivor you'd use a different excuse.
Lastly more excuses and fallacies because you just can't accept yours and the ops arguments are full of holes.
I mean that was pretty pointless.
"Wah! Excuses! How dare you complain about an unfun tactic, and defend someone who didn't play robot perfect with a stacked loadout!"
And?
It's not full of holes, you're just grasping at your usual "take responsibility, git gud" approach that is basically useless against me because I don't have the sort of ego you hope I do.
I have enough sense to see that gen rush isn't fun, and killers aren't all robot perfect players with perfect loadouts.
I have enough sense to see that this game isn't perfect, survivors aren't all angels, and not everything is entirely the killers fault.

How exactly is running Sloppy Butcher on the Wraith an "exploit"?There is a bug where it will cause the survivor to bleed like a water fountain nonstop. Sometimes the killer sees it, sometimes they don't, I guess.
It also supposedly hits survivors right in the framerate. It's fairly recent. -
A lot of SWFs play above the rank they get match made with, and/or are toxic pains in the ass. Killers aren't interested in getting merc'd sometimes.
-
Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with a 3-4 man SWF looking to kick around a brown rank killer while they have greens, purples and reds in their team. If you're the 4th man in an ed, edd. and eddy, it happens. Happens to me now and then when I play survivor and all I do is solo.
I try not to run items. Might help?
Match making hasn't fully kicked in for everyone to hide SWFs with me.
I mean I don't play enough to out pace rank reset, and I don't plan on getting good enough to be one of those killers that makes life hell on low rank survivors either.
If I do get that good, I'll probably start throwing games, or doing funny stuff. -
Nah. I mean it's not like you've got the same urges towards Tapp, or Adam.
... You don't have Leatherface wearing Claudettes face do you? :P
-
That's tough.
Spirit. Using it with Rancor seems so fitting.
Huntress. For when you ax those burning questions.
Freddy. Leaves survivors feeling gutted.
Myers. Coz he can do it in multiple positions.
Legion. For when you gotta stick around.
Leatherface and Billy are cool. Never chainSaw anything quite like them.
Nurse stops short of tucking you in death bed.

What? I mean once you find all the parts, and where it landed, I'm sure you can repair it just fine.Vietfox said:

Working on the same gen lowers the odds of skill checks.
That doesn't necessarily work in your favor.
