Eh, I don't see pinhead working that way.
The cinobites play by certain rules.
Largely that it takes desire to activate the puzzle box. You basically cannot be tricked into activating it.
You also cannot trick someone into doing it for you.
But if the survivor feels like the puzzle box will free them from the trials, and entity, or they prefer it, they might want to use it.
Maybe the couple from hellraiser one, or two looking to use blood to revive someone? -
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm saying I seriously doubt that the level of mistakes survivors have to make are on par with the mistakes killers have to make. I really do.Vietfox said:
There are a few videos on YT as well where you can see killers ending the match with 4K in so little time, the key is to slug them all first and then hook them. It's not that difficult if survivors make mistakes, same for the killers when they get genrushed.@Rebel_Raven said:
That's a horrible comparison. The difficulty between gen rushing, and killing 4 survivors in 3 minutes is astronomical.@Vietfox said:
Would you say that killers are overpowered because they can kill all 4 survivors in 3 minutes? Probably not. If killers can do that it's because survivors screwed it up, same with the gens.@Rebel_Raven said:People complaining that he made mistakes, well [BAD WORD], we are human.
Blaming him for ot playing ultra optimal at all times?
So a killer has far less margin for error?
Yes we are all human and everyone makes mistakes, no one is discussing that, we are just pointing one of the reasons why he got genrushed like that.
Yeah, maybe if the stars align you can kill 4 survivors in 3 minutes, but gen rushing is vastly easier.
The survivors would basically have to charge the killer in a suicidal frenzy, and kill themselves on first hook practically .
Point out the reasons all you like but that doesn't change that it happens, and a lot of the reasons are more common than you would think.
I feel bad for anyone that feels like they have to play that optimally.
Slugging survivors requires certain builds, or certain killers to do decently, I imagine.
And some of these things pointed out as doing them wrong? Some killers can't avoid it thanks to RNG. Perks, I mean.
I've plenty of killers lacking ruin, for instance. Or monitor and abuse.

People making excuses for the gen rush saying he wasn't running perks, or some such.
You do know there's killers out there that don't have optimal perks on all killers, right?
People complaining that he made mistakes, well #########, we are human.
Blaming him for not playing ultra optimal at all times?
So a killer has far less margin for error?
Also hindsight is 20/20.
Moreover watching a game is leagues different from playing it. -
1 good reason? Here is a few.
Cosmetics.
Testing perks before you make them teachable.
The fact that the instant that survivors have any real inherent bonuses some jackass will message you and demand you switch characters to fit their meta, and that garbage can ######### outtahere. -
Yeah, that's definitely one of my least favorite scenarios.
Survivor on hook, gens done or 1 gen left and they've been knocking them out at a high pace.
I'd rather chase, but let's not pretend that's productive.
I don't like camping, but I need the blood points, see?
Blood warden needs a fix to be way more flexible in activation before I want to use it since it usually doesn't help much in that situation. The hook is before the gates are open.
I ran NOED once. ######### cleansed it on their way out, and with SWFs, totems are an even bigger gamble.
Rancor is more fun, but they seem to want to play around it most times.
Not sure what they could do to fix it, though. -
I wouldn't say they take it personal, but you are damaging their ability to score points. Naturally they want to stop you.White_Owl said:Maybe killers don't have to worry about it, but they all seem to take it personally when I do it

Not sure how you generally do it, but 99 percenting a hook, then breaking it last second while they have a survivor ready to put on that hook could put you higher on the priority list easily. -
Min mostly. Stealth gen jockey. Not concerned heavily with rescues. I try to avoid them, too. I'd rather try and make sure enough gens are done for an escape.
Nea coz i just like her.
Especially now with her green hair.
Kate got lucky on the web.

We could have a werewolf like sabrewulf from killer instinct. Sorta humanoid.
Would be awesome if legion style cosmetics started becoming common where there's different gender skins.
People obviously want to kill, and do it doggy style.
Luckily there is no voice chat so no one could beat the werewolf like this:

No kidding. It makes playing a bit of a slog.
Between swfs with mixed ranks, and smurfs and killers with no chill, i don't know what to think anymore.
I love the game, but dealing with sweaty people, and try hards in brown ranks kinda sucks.
-
No, no. Can't be.
If i were the entity, i would have moris for SWFs, and there would be more leather and chains... uhm forget that last part. -
I'd rather have technican give objective points, personally, for survivor side.
The problem about running the killer side perks is they're usually not that great.
My huntress and maybe soon legion runs 3 of the 4, but lets not pretend they're that great.
Either survivor perks are kargely going to be useless outside of BP, or the killer side ones need work.
Who realistically runs beast of prey, or toth? Even on my grind loadout, it's not a great loadout for general play.
Distressing might have some use in some builds, but outside of niche? I don't see it.
Bbq and chili is the only really useful one, and to get it you essentially have to saddle yourself with a killer you may not want to buy, play, or enjoy.

With the extra skins -
Nerf Kate, and Meg's booty!
And Spirit's booty! -
Agreed. They have 2 exits as it is. One will be open, most likely. Unless they have Remember Me impacting them, the other gate shouldn't be too hard to open either.
-
A lot of survivors don't understand when you're trying to be nice in my experience. You get BMed anyhow. It's like they flip the chess table over, and scream Yahtzee like they won something.
I generally understand when a killer is being nice so I try to be nice back, but I also understand if I overstay my welcome, I'm ... well, lets say I don't want to overstay my welcome unless I want to give them a hook. Cats get bored of their toys.
The halloween event had me being nice in full force, basically. I just wanted to get my hooks in, then I'd just chase survivors and let them go. Once I got my fuzzy huntress skin I'd just bump up against them, and "no" at them.
I think maybe one or two groups understood what was going on out of enough games to get all 60 vials back when it was survivor killer 30/30.These days I chase, hit, at most slug all but one, and just hope they have the brains to do gens. Or use the Doc Shock. Might just chase. Mostly if I'm doing rituals, or if someone DCs early, or some dumb ######### happens to ruin the survivor's sporting chance.
That's basically my "faming mode." Aka, Grab your friends, Grab yer #########, and GO HOME, KAKAROT!!!
And when they won't:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkOxJF1wiWY -
Yes. I keep trying to tell people how common they are but they don't believe me.

No! Replace it with glomp!
-
Wait, you can't crouch and get by these traps?
Or use a flashlight to get rid of them if you have one? -
Great, now i have a mental image of naked dudes helicoptering and running after terrified killers.Arroz said:NO, we just need naked spirit or shirtless quentin

I mean it would be nice if the devs gave a ######### about killers with limited play time and don't want to constantly get stomped by SWF.
I'm pretty casual here. I don't have a realistic SWF killer build, and I don't want to play it constantly.
I'd like to chill and play other low level killers.
It's pretty apparent they don't give a damn about us.
They're making SWF harder to detect so I'm going to vs people full colors of ranks above me, and smurfs on the regular.
There's this "plan" to make every solo player as tough as an SWF player, then buff killers. I use the term plan loosely as no one knows how the hell they're going to do it, and odds are killers will lag behind for months, or years. Especially with their track record on helping already struggling killers.
But SWF players bitches enough, and now they get to smurf, and break the ######### out of match making pitting under prepared killers against them.
And no, git gud doesn't work here. Not against survivors using the biggest ######### crutches in Dead By Daylight history.
######### outta here with that hypocrisy.
Especially when you delight in going into brown ranks to stomp people.
I swear I have high expectations that they will make me regret every auric cell I ever bought.
Just glad I enjoy solo survivor. Doesn't help i play survivor a lot partly because of the bullshit killers go through. -
Oh noes. Someone doesn't want to get stomped by smurfs, and mixed rank SWFs going down to brown ranks. Can't let them leave!
Also with the new matchmaking in the works every lobby will have all survivors popping in at the same time.

Maybe they're newer, more casual, or some such, and thus angrier about veing taken advantage of?If you catch this edit, what's the makeup of your SWF?
Its just my girlfriend and I. We play casually together.
Using a strong perk build, or two?
If you two do well casually vs low ranks it might speak volumes.
I mean if one or two of you are high rank, you're beating up on people who might be more casual, or newer. I'd say the salt is kinda justified.
They see the rank differences, and, well, I wouldn't be thrilled at shoddy match making, and people getting an easy match out of it -
I dunno, people who hit rank 1 or at least fought them are now going against people rank 14 to 8?Vietfox said:Maybe they deranked on purpose to have ez matches and get mad when they die or don't get kills
That's basically red rank vs lvl 14.
And the range is well beyond an entire color of rank.
And pretty into the brown ranks.
Kinda curious about more variables here, like how hard do the lower ranks get competed against, and how many are low ranks.
Kinda curious about the makeup of the SWF.
Salt gets strong in one sided battles. -
Maybe they're newer, more casual, or some such, and thus angrier about veing taken advantage of?
If you catch this edit, what's the makeup of your SWF? -
As long as it's an option, i don't see the harm.
What harm is there? -
Portapotty.
When a killer opens a locker with a survivor in it, they recoil in terror as you shout "occupied!" And the smell doesn't help. -

Yeah, nerf all killer attacks. They're like... 9 meters too long. >.> -
All of them.
-
You will likely run into MORE SWFs at those ranks, IMO, because that's where the killers SWFs want to vs are.
Beyond that, it really depends on your ability to chill vs your desire to stomp some asses.
If it's the latter:
No.
Maybe
Probably not.

Make blood warden have a token to be earned.
Once all 5 gens are completed, hooking a survivor bestows 1 token. When the gates are open blood warden activates normally for 60 seconds, and the token is consumed.
Only 1 token can be earned. -

Clem has one of the best character designs, and is one of the few children in videogames not to irritate the hell out of me.
Would be nice if we got her kid, and latest chapter appearances.
I wonder what sort of killer could even go after her
Haha kidding. -
I like Technician, and Urban Evasion.
I don't mind running deja vu (helps dodge 3 gen strats), or detective's hunch to help take guess work out of finding gens and helps plot a stealthy course.
Iron will is a positive.
Lightweight is cool.
Spine chill, and alert are good additions.
I like pairing dance with me with lithe to help dissuade killers from following me if I am found. Light weight for that added zip. -
Stay safe!

Any word from PTB players?
They're supposed to fix totem placement on that.
Had a hard time not laughing writing that.
Waiting wity low expectations. -
Or we can just funnel them all into red ranks. Purple if they're lucky.
Solves red rank cues which helps killers, and I figure they won't derank then. -
Susie green hair/purple hoodie. She's in comicbook villain colors.
I sometimes alternate between masks. Bought Joey's karambit but I use her ruler at times, too.

Would be great since I wasn't playing then, and the Dog is my zodiac sign, plus these years roll around only once every 12 years, but I don't see it happening.
Plus year of the dog was probably the worst year of my life. Why should this be different? -
Unless you are bad and somehow ranked up, and/or seriously know how to pull your punches, it's pretty scummy, IMO.
I get it if you have chill, and show it happily, but if you're doing it to smash, and grab, or get your rocks off on lower ranks, no.At least killer methods are somewhat beneficial to survivors, but the end result is likely not fun.
Survivor methods generally screw people over. when they use their methods. DCing leaving the rest holding the bag, and such.
Plus they can indirectly depip via SWF. Usually this is just to screw over killers, and smash and grab.
I mean y'all could maybe farm, or something instead of being an ass to killers. Try and be fun, maybe?
There's a reason SWF gets so much hate.
