I think a lot of people think that'd be a good buff for him, myself included. It'd improve his early game, and make it so that survivors can't tell if it's a trapper immediately if they see an unarmed trap.
-
I once ran into a bare chested David on the way to my hex totem by accident as a billy. He was crouching in the corn, and I was just chainsawing my way to my Devour Hope to check on it when I just stop and see blood cover the screen. It was the funniest thing. XD
-
Personally, I think Micheal is fine, but then I'm on console... GF and Plague need those buffs I think. Their inconsistencies are their biggest weaknesses...

It isn't for no reason, the survivor got to hte hatch before you, they should get the escape. If you get to the hatch before the survivor you would win even if the survivor prompt had priority because you can just stand on it in a way such that it blocks the survivor from attempting to enter and closing it as soon as it opens. If the survivor reaches it before you though, you didn't earn the kill the survivor got to it first.
But the killer is supposed to be the power role, they are supposed to have a major advantage in 1v1s.
As well, this issues really isn't about who got there first, but latency as @anarchy753 points out.
-
I usually flap them when the killer is coming to me and stop when they leave.
-
At least for survivor. Lighting is fine for killers right now, but survivors shouldn't be able to see so well. The Entity gave killers enhanced senses, not survivors. It's in the Lore.

Think of it like this, because this is how I processed it.
Adiris was deceiving everyone around. While promising to cure everyone, she was spreading more of the illness. While everyone saw her beauty, she was starting to fall into decay. Rather than getting help for herself, she kept going out into public, spreading even more disease. Finally, she led several of her most devoted followers to their deaths.
Whether she was willing or not, her actions are evil. She was so desperate to save others, that she became what she wanted to destroy. And the Entity picked up on this.
That's why I believe she was taken. She was a servant to the gods, and the Entity is godlike in power.
Also, wickedness isn't a prerequisite for Killers. Take Leatherface. He just wanted to protect his family. In fact, the people he killed were done so in self defense. If it wasn't for his cannibalism, I think he might have been let go.
If you want the best argument for killers not having to have malice to be a killer, look at the Huntress. She's effectively a 6 year old kid in an adult body. She thinks she helps little girls by kidnapping them and chaining them to a wall. She doesn't understand cause and effect, nor the repercussions of her actions.
And yet she was taken by the entity.
-
I think for survivor having the old atmosphere would add tremendously, since in the lore, the killers are given enhanced senses. Not the survivors.

FnaF in-general is horror bait, jumpscares doesn't equal horror, idc what mediocre story they made out of that concept.
Its still a no, its not a good fit for DBD at all, and the community for that game is omega toxic, we don't need that here...
the First 3 games had a good story, but it's been diluted to mediocrity over the 3 that followed. The Nightmares and Springtrap could easily work in terms of a gritty and hyperrealistic aesthetic, although I'm not sure how their mechanics would work for this game. The best fit would probably be Springtrap, because he is a psycho undead murderer, who could probably work in a slasher flick if Scott really tried (we have yet to see how the movie unfolds, as it's in production).
The games in general do a good job of creating suspense, even though the jumpscare mechanic just isn't a good one to rely on. In this I think we agree.
My point is don't just diss it because it has mechanics you don't like. There are definitely mechanics I don't like in DBD, but that doesn't make me disparage the whole game just because of them.
-
As much as I'd like to see a crossover (Springtrap in particular would fit quite well, I think), I don't think it will happen because of their... reputation.

@SkeletalElite said:
I'd argue it would be fair if survivor's prompt took priority because the killer already has the advantage when it comes to finding the hatch as it is. If the survivor manages to get on to it before you do, they should win.
But survivors have to earn an escape, like how killers earn their kills. If the killer manages to kill three, he should have it easier to earn the last, because of how close a game it is.
The main thing though, is that if a survivor's latency allows him to escape when he shouldn't without killers having a grab or something to compensate, then it just screws killers over for no reason.

The only really powerful one is being added to basekit, while the extra portals and extra speed are nice. Haven't tried the cooldown reduction ones though.

They don't, because We'll make it says it doesn't stack with anything else.

Or on console, Pounce: LT+RT
Portal: LB

Isn't the psychic kid from Stranger things pretty much bald like that? Makes it look like a different character at that point then.

I saw a bald kate once lol
Kate, Jane, and Nancy all suffer from this. I haven't seen any other survivor suffer from this affliction.

The emblem system for killer is just broken, and I don't see it worth it to try to rank up anymore. The Adepts being based on this system is just stupid too. It punishes killers for absolutely smashing a group of survivors that deserve it.
You can get iridescent gatekeeper with Corrupt intervention. That perk guarantees it since it blocks the closest gens to survivors and you can keep them from completing a gen for 1 minute 20 seconds.

Ghostface caught on tape is the jelly jams. Outdoors security cam is useless, I would prefer that they made it a tremendously increase nightshroud recovery
Iridescent addons are to change the gameplay style of the killer, not buff the killer overall. That's what purple addons are for.
-
Omega blink isn't even balanced against juking, as you claim it is. With juking, you sacrifice overall distance to avoid a hit, because the nurse has to blink again for her to hit you. However, the omega blink combo nullifies that weakness of the original kit. Nurse relies on predicting her prey's moves, and Omega effectively covers for her mistakes on PC. Granted, it's not nearly an issue on console, but you can definitely tell when you're going against it. It's not fun for survivors and takes less skill than normal nurse.
It not only covers for killer mistakes, but also makes survivors make misjudgements more easily, resulting in easier games.
The difference between 5 blink nurses and Omega nurses is that Omega nurses have basically a better basekit, while there is actually a downside to using 5 blinks: increased fatigue. The addons don't have downsides, since blink accuracy isn't a thing, and the other addons downside is effectively nonexistent.
I think you'll find your position to be in the minority here.
-
Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit = Fun carry build!
Why do you want to nerf it? It's not even that great... XD
I run it on GF just because of how much of a joke it is.
-
I think part of it may be due to limitations on certain platforms and not wanting to get their game banned for overly graphic content.

My bad. It used to be suggestions and feedback. Or at least that was where I used to see them moved to.
That's ok. I'm just letting you know.
-
As much as I like Legion, you really should get Spirit. She's almost Nurse tier when played well with a good set of headphones.
-
I like P3 Julie or Blue Hair Susie.
Favorite combo of different cosmetics is OP's mask and Susie, because of that SirRodin vid.
I think Joey is the worst skin.
-
I'm the odd one out that uses Head on instead of all other exhaustion perks. I just love it too much. Had way too many funny moments with it. XD

Yes and no. The original starting characters are Dwight, Jake, Claudette and Meg. David and Nea are free. Feng and Ace are included in the Ps4 edition, along with the Hag and the Doctor. On Pc tho, these last 4 characters need to be bought.
Feng and Ace are also free on Xbox, so all the Console starter chapters are the same.

I love that addon combo. Put it where they can't see you and they'll jump!

Nope it is intended to balance DH at higher ranks. That's why we only have 2-3 reliable killers higher ups(red ranks).
They are all killers that counter certain perks or actions the survivor do.
Hag, can break loop and jukes.
Myers, can bypass DH and MoM(although it's a bad example).
Doctor, completly destroy immersove perks like UE.
Absolutely not. Dead hard is to bait out attacks and gain distance, as well as being very predictable by people who use it. If one were to Dead Hard a billy saw, say, to the side, then it absolutely was worth it, and the billy was already wasting his time with a saw rev on an injured survivor.
But billy's been in the game forever, since launch. Saying he was designed for that is ridiculous, since David King came out with Huntress.
Hag is dependant on skill and addons, and most of the time is countered by crouching and flashlights. Also only if she has prepared for that loop in the first place.
Myers cannot bypass MoM in T3, and I don't know why you'd say that. Endurance for survivors overrides Exposed every time. Myers can only bypass DH if he expects it (He only gets around four T3s in a normal game, so DH is still viable against him). I don't know why you would say that.
I can't say why doctor was designed or for what purpose, but I don't think anti stealth was the reason. He has counterplay and funny enough, stealth is the best option. Sure, not for your first shock, but if you know to stay in T1, then he has no way of tracking you. At least if you're smart, he has no way of tracking you. Doc is WEAK.

@TheUnendingNightmare said:
Higher ups killers are;
Leatherface, bc he can insta down denying MoM and DH.
Cannibal, same reason has Leatherface.
Huntress, usually running with iridiscent axe to counter jukes, loops and lithe.
Hag, same reason has the Huntress.
Spirit, can easily catch Up to running survivors and find them has easily with add-ons.
The Nurse, I don't meet enough to Say but apparently there's some around ?
Leatherface is the cannibal. And he is not used at higher ranks due to his glaring weaknesses (windows and his tantrum).
It's not because he can instadown, it's because he swings multiple times, effectively overriding MoM and BT.
Huntress' hatchets are unreliable. There are times they hit when they shouldn't, and there are times when they don't hit when they should. Also the environment on several maps is really bad for her (Haddonfield + Autohaven).
Hag cannot counter perks like Lithe, Sprint Burst, or Balanced landing except if they run to a trapped area. She is also very hard to master so not many try.
Nurse on console isn't common, however, on PC she is one of the main red rank killers.
-
My suggestion would be to just make it not a hex perk. Everyone cleanses totems anyway, so having one that governs the slowdown of the cleansing just doesn't need to exist.

Now that’s quite the unpopular opinion, I think infectious fright is quite good.
That's HybridPanda's opinion on the issue... he stated that in his latest shrinewatch.
-
If I want a challenge while running BBQ, having it instead of death hook denies the aura reading, and costs you time.
Or, as @Attackfrog said, use them up before a prestige.
-
I'd choose Legion, not for their strength, but for their numbers. They'll tick off the others so much that they'll get the brunt of it while I escape.
That, and you know, Julie. Gotta love her. : )
-
@Atrushan88 said:
You can see the aura, but I'm not sure if it's only when other survivors are working on it or not, as most of the time when I see it, another survivor and I are both working on it. I have reason to believe you only see the aura if someone is working on a portal, mainly because I usually don't see too many auras of them.
You can only see the aura if a survivor is working on it. It's to encourage others to help get it done quickly, as well as let survivors know that if it isn't done quickly, that might be where the Demo will go to.
-
Then I answered that. I remember seeing a comment a few days ago from a Dev. I'm searching for it, and if I find it I'll send it to you.
-
As long as most of the crash issues are fixed, then I'd be all for it. : P
-
For what, the nerf itself, or the second part?
If it's the changes, I remember seeing a Dev posting a comment about the general changes on a thread about the Demo, but I don't remember which one. If I find it, I'll let you know.

This is about the lobby lighting not in game lighting.
Ah, well, maybe they wanted to be consistent.

All sounds got a jump in volume. I don't mind for survivor noises, but for killers, some of their action sounds are a tad too loud. That, and the new map has really loud ambient noise too.

Didn't they make it where you can place Portals within 4 meters of an object? (Hooks, Exit Gates, Generators, totems, and etc.)
Only with exit gates, I think. Totems and gens you can place them right next to it.
-
Part of it is because killers have a tougher time finding blendettes with darker lighting... maybe they should make it so you can choose which lighting you like. After all, the killer's are supposed to have enhanced senses, so they should be able to see better then survivors...
-
That actually makes sense. Thank you for informing me today. : )
-
That should be for all survivors because I, too, enjoy steampunk, and think it'd look good with any survivor. Heck, My Dwight looks like a steampunk character right now with the Hallowed Blight shirt and pants with the Headcase collection hat.
Point is, don't just limit it to the one survivor I don't want to spend points on. : P
-
When autoaim makes you hit a wall instead of the survivor in front of you.
-
That's my theory too, since we have no idea what BB has done since Hallowed Blight, and the quotes stopped coming.
I have to disagree about being one of the oldest survivors, though, since there are many, many older than him. Vigo, for one, as well as those listed in the random survivor perks. Do not base his age on what year he arrived, since the realm is timeless.
However, it could also be Vigo, since that name is essentially a legend in the lore right now.

What's the nerf? The only real issue imo is him seeing people destroying the portals. Nothing too over the top.
A cooldown nerf, now he won't be able to teleport nearly as often.
He doesn't see people, he sees the KI effect. If survivors start cleansing a portal after he teleports, they will get one before he can teleport again.

Hey!! Sorry for the delay, I've been very busy today :C
Thanks a lot for the extensive and well detailed explanation, some of them seem pretty interesting, not gonna lie! I still use the pre-rework legion build (Ruin, Thana, M&A and BBQ) but I'm going to start some of the builds you suggested to me.
STBFL seems very powerful on legion. Now that I think about it, you can get 1 more stack from everyone if you stab them 2 times with frenzy. Pair that with the addons which do additional effects on the 2nd hit and you can create a good synergy. I like it!
I also find Corrupt Intervention interesting. You force the survivors to come to the nearest generators and thanks to that you can potentially get more frenzy hits on people. Smart.
Thanks a lot!!
That's ok. Stuff happens. : P
Some of those builds are just theories though, since I don't have Demogorgon's or Plague's perks unlocked yet, but they should work. (If I'm going to be the madman who P3s Legion first, I should try to know what I'm doing.)
No problem. : )
-
@TheDBDCoach said:
The Demogorgon is in a nice spot. I think making Red Moss built-in will make him a tad-bit better. I'm happy to see another good killer!
The next Hotfix is going to give that to Demogorgon already, but at the cost of an increased teleportation cooldown.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
Looking through this thread I feel that too many are too quick to judge. I was a little underwhelmed my first few games too. Then I started to learn. There are quite a few nuances to playing Demogorgon. The lunge is pretty straight forward, but still takes practice to learn when to use. The portals are the tricky thing.
I've learned that Demo is particularly good at tunneling survivors. Hook a survivor, drop a portal and walk away, then try to guesstimate when someone will go for the unhook and teleport back. With undetectable you don't even have to worry about borrowed time. More often than not, I get back just in time to tunnel the unhooked survivor. If you are smart and place portals near the exit gates at the beginning of the match then Demogorgon has an amazing late game.
If you saw Otz' vid on his demogorgon basement build, you can tell just how strong he can be, especially with Make your choice.
A lot of people don't realize he can be absolutely brutal in the right hands.
However, he's also really good with STBFL since shred doesn't decrease the amount of tokens he can have. So you can use it at tier 1 and still keep 8 tokens. Most people don't realize you'd have that perk either.
