I tried to face camp once and it didn't work so I am pretty sure I don't know what it actually means.
-
The only friend requests I get on PS4 are people wanting to tell me my sexual preference and that I should consider ending my life.
-
I play on Playstation and once I DC'd because the wife was going to mori me if I didn't help her bring stuff in from the car.
Other than that, I take my medicine regardless of how badly I am doing.
-
It's Survive with Friends not Survive with some 13 year old who is gonna tell me I suck the whole game. I don't need him to tell me that. I already know.
I'm solo 90% of the time. When I get some friends to play it's a treat. But we all suck and it's a laugh to play.
Anyway you slice it, the game is based on isolation and swf breaks that but if it is as bad as everyone lets on it will get addressed.
And, like every thread in here, it doesn't matter what your experience is.
The plural of anecdote is not data.
-
Let you flip through the tips as the game loads. Lots of info in those but there are only like, two or three per load.
-
I got the mori daily with the hag using devour hope once. Best game ever.

We need both of your suggestions in this game so bad. There is no reason not to, since swf survivors already have this information, so why shouldn't solo survivors have this information as well? Just makes their life a bit easier, which is only fair.
One other advantage of swf survivors which solo survivors need big time is knowing whenever a killer is camping or not. It makes such a difference for swf survivors to have this information, and it's not fair that solo survivors are left out of this as well.
That's what arm flapping is for. Arms flap? Killer trap!

The terms were made up by players in the first place, so it's not shocking that people don't agree on the exact definition as it evolves as times goes as well. Like when I started, flapping your arms on a hook meant the Killer was camping. Now either new players or Killer mains have completely screwed it up as people use it for both.
Also people get self defensive about being accused of running a loop or tunneling... in which case they usually respond "it's not my fault you don't know how to mind game or hide" when the person was just looping or tunneling and don't want to admit to it.
I'm a flapper! I'll flap til I quit playing. It just makes good sense.
-
It was really his only pitch and he is in the hall of fame because he negated whatever momentum the opponents had better than anyone.
I'm just saying that if you have an add on or a perk and you use it to your advantage then good on ya.
So you face a mori. You're probably gonna lose that game. Why waste time getting bent?
-
I'm a survivor main and I say leave it alone. Keys, too. Sometimes you lose.
These discussions are like people complaining about Mariano Rivera's cutter. If he threw it right, it was essentially unhittable.
If the Yankees had a lead going into the 9th, they were probably gonna win. But you didn't see other teams crying about imbalance.
They took the loss and moved on. And yes the cutter was a skill, but the principle is the same. You can't mori what you can't catch.
Suck it up, everyone. Can't win 'em all.
-
Lol is this a joke?

Another thing is that we Phoenix in every scene of the movie... I thought that was very impressive on his part...
Excellent point. Hadn't thought of that!

They could make the Battle Pass, the game, and all the cosmetics free if they charged the people on this forum a buck to post a complaint.
If the company makes money they can keep working on the game.
Maybe someday they could even market it!
Sheesh

How do you activate it? I don't know what to press!
Not sure what I pressed but I managed to unlock the paid tier.

I don't play killer that much but inventing rules seems to be a survivor pasttime.
If you died, the killer didn't fail, so failure was not rewarded. Full stop.
-
NOED stands for No Open Exit Dancing. Want to escape from the noob who never touched you all game? Then leave the map.
-
I saw it and liked it. I think it was beautifully crafted and the message was well communicated.
Definitely one of the best movies I've seen all year.

I actually really like this idea a whole lot better than Pennywise. I fell in love with Stephen king at the age of 14, and IT happens to be one of my all time favourites, I enjoyed both of the movies.
But I really do not think they could represent Pennywise anywhere near accurately. I strongly feel it would just be a cash grab for something that is currently popular. But I'll admit, I'm not on the marketing team so my opinion is biased towards the faithfulness of the character.
Annie Wilkes (God bless Kathy Bates for nailing that role 10 times over) Is simple, very easy to create and you'd have to try very hard to mess up that character.
Thanks for the vote of confidence in my theory! And look how good Lizzy Kaplan is in the trailer as young Annie!

Yes, I there are some toxic killers, but I am pretty sure if survivors were not the group that goes out if it's way to be toxic (not all, obvi) they would not have had to put in end game collapse to counter it, no?

You're most likely better than you think. You got 23k against a combination of red/purple/green ranks this particular game even though you were playing Wraith who is arguably "one of the weakest killers" in the game with no stall-perk (Ruin, Pop Goes The Weasel, Corrupt Intervent etc).
They brought multiple toolboxes, too (albeit one's just a sabo toolbox).
Thanks! I had the add on where there is no bing bong and i could see them when they were within 12 meters so I at least had a fighting chance. :)

The sum?
Nah, everyone knows its broken. I had two rank twos, a six and a eighteen on my girlfriends fresh account.
Anyways they kniw the matchmaking is trash, pull through
The sum part was a joke. And yeah, it happens a lot but meh. Game is still fun. But someone starting out would be put off by it, I bet.
-
@Yamaoka said:
Well, at devotion 3(+25) you're not a legit rank 16/15 anyways.
The highest I ever got was I think 13 on killer. I play a lot because it's fun but I am not good at the game. And that was a daily I was doing.
So I can see where you would think that, but I am at the rank I should be at.
-
Claudette's should be squeaky shoes so you can hear her.
-
Make it a Google sheet so you can add as you go and we can see.

Ah yes, the good ole “I don’t want anyone to have fun” build.
I don't understand this mindset. Not attacking in any way. Just confuses me.
It's an adversarial game. Survivor 'fun' is not the responsibility of the killer's game play or vice versa.
-
Based on King lore, I don't think they would allow Pennywise as he would be more powerful than the Entity. Same with Flagg.
Some good ideas in this thread.
I say Annie Wilkes with Paul Sheldon as survivor. She needs a sledgehammer and there is no map.
Just my two cents.
-
Man I wish we would get Candyman. The reboot with Tony Todd is on the way and it just makes sense. Hook weapon. Bees for a power. Come on BVHR!
-
Lol. Sorry, m8. That might be worse?
-
I'm excited to get killed a lot, lol
-
I feel all matchmaking woes on the Ps4. Sometimes it's very depressing.
-
Meh. The game is fun imo. I'd rather have survivors play poorly than be jerks.
If people all knew that flapping your arms on the hook means the killer is nearby then things would be way better imo
-
Die quick, go to the next game. What's the big deal?
-
Why would survivors not rush? Gen Dawdle sounds like a terrible strategy.
-
I'd make the perks that people complain about the most, killer and survivor, and make them take up two perk spots.
-
I also got in with PS4 Plus. Never looked back. Also never got any better at it, but I still love it.

Hey buddy, in the real world, something called bills exist. You don't always have money to throw away on a game.
You could start a GoFundMe
-
The game already has rules. Making up new ones is just adding stress. So what if I get tunneled? It's not like I lost a quarter.
-
Noed doesn't bother me when I'm survivor and when I play killer I use it a lot of the time. Maybe I'm the killer being 'rewarded for failure' as is often discussed here but meh.
I'm not great at killer so lots of times it never even comes into play because I can't catch anyone. But sometimes it's fun revenge.
-
I saw that with someone in one of my trials yesterday and thought it was a one time thing
-
Impossible to tell until dedicated servers. But anything else right now is conjecture.
I wonder if they would do away with Chat if they did it.
-
Never tried it before but I'm going to now! Thanks!

Mori spam means starting the animation over and over but not going through with the Mori. Can be done until the survivor bleeds out and there's nothing you can do.
That's unacceptable and is as bad as the survivor antic. They should lose the Mori if they stop it more than once.
-
I think some variation of this would be great, but it does sort of screw the killer.
What if the cleansing sound was unique (has to be as cool as the Hex break) and the killer can always see it.
Or (not and) they see the dull totems in yellow?
But no joke, OP this is a good idea.

"A killer being 'toxic' is killing the survivors."
Lol no. Toxic killers repeatedly hit you on the hook, Mori spam you, slug you and stare at you until you bleed out or the Entity takes you in EGC, tbag as Pig or Ghost Face, ring bell in front of hook as Wraith, chainsaw you over and over again on hook as Leatherface, throw hatchets at you on hook as Huntress, etc.
Survivors can be awful, but they are not fundamentally different people than killers. Look past your own bias.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/619639#Comment_619639
Never in my video game playing experience has anyone threatened me or my family. A few told me to commit suicide but that's just an edgy thing for some kids to say. Sorry you ran into some #########, but they're part of life. What do you think is different about survivors at a fundamental level where they are the type to make threats, and not killers? And what about people who play both? Did you make sure that the ones who threatened you can be officially qualified as "survivor mains?" And by whose standard?
It's like getting mugged by a couple of people of a certain ethnicity and proclaiming that "Only those people mug me! Nobody else!"
Killers who hit people on the hook have stuff going on at home, I think. Bad stuff. I don't think or them as toxic. They are just weird.
Mori's are game play. I just got tunneled after the gates opened. Everyone else escaped. Oh well.
-
Now I wish there was a killer whose power was leaving bubble wrap with paint on it all around the map. It does not hurt the survivor but it makes a fun poppity pop sound and leaves paint on their feet for 60 seconds.
His name could be The Shipper and his main weapon is a tape gun with jaggedy teeth!
-
In my experience as someone who plays both on Ps4 I've had many more toxic survivors than killers.
A killer being 'toxic' is killing the survivors.
A survivor is clicking flashlights, tbagging, hanging in the exits, pointing, etc. None of those things have anything to do with game play.
And as far as I can tell, End Game Collapse was added specifically because so many survivors acted like jerks, no?
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
Yeah, but a lot of these builds are not fun to play against.
Do you think a Wraith would have fun dealing with two or three insta heals?
Or, survivors having to play against an insta saw Billy?
Of course not. These builds tilt the match heavily in one side's favor at the other side's expense.
I see this a lot. But your fun is not more important than the killer's and vice versa.
I don't die because of perks, I die because I suck. But it's still fun. It's a horror movie!
-
Killers kill. If you get camped it's two minutes and you play again.
-
lolololol
