Hopefully Dying Light will be patched, and fixed so you don't lose your tokens if the obsession dies, at least not all of them.

Its their Feral Frenzy effect, this effect is given to The Legion when they hit someone when FF is active. Once they hit someone, it gives them a semi-accurate aura reading wherever other Survivors are.
This is why he finds you in lockers when he hits someone first before coming to you, its because you're giving off a aura reading when hes in Feral Frenzy mode. He can only see this aura once he hits someone first during the powers activation, he can't see it when he just activated it.
It's technically not an aura. If it were an aura, you wouldn't see them in lockers.

No, it should be a alternative colored top for either survivor :) It only comes with purchasing the DLC off the steam store.
Oh, so it's only steam that has that? That sucks.

She is shattered due to how she was killed, and the glass shards were her after she fell through a window.
She is also mostly naked because she was killed late at night after bedtime. The inference is she slept without clothes, but... they couldn't put that in a game that children could potentially play, could they?
The sword is more of a metaphor for what the father did. It's all in the chapter name: Shattered Bloodline.

I really want the devs to consider adding addon's that change her playstyle/kit. things akin to the Mirror addons for myers, or the alternate traps for hag. I also hope they consider lowering plaid flannels rarity to brown so that people can learn the nurse easier.
I also hope that if she does finally get ultra rare addons, that they are genuinely useful, yet change how she's played. Something like adding full blindness and deafening during a blink, but pushing her to instablink levels of power or something crazy like that.
That makes sense. I've suggested an addon that increases movement speed, at the cost of blink range, making her a goddess at loops but not at map pressure.

In my opinion, the new map is just too loud. I can barely hear the heartbeat as survivor, and it's hard to track survivors too, even with the chase music. Granted, Demo's chase music is kind of muted, but it still effects the rest of the killers. Especially Spirit. If they turned down the sound just a little, I'll be happier. : P

Wow can you tell me one of them? Not kidding, I really want to know it. Every streamer I know says he's the worst killer and I don't know anyone (on twitch) who mains legion right now.
Well, their kit is very limiting, but you can make it work is all I'm saying.
Sure!
Devour Hope, Thrill of the Hunt, PGTW, and Brutal Strength is one I'm fond of right now, but it's hit or miss. If they spawn close to each other, it'll work. Sometimes I replace DH and TOTH with Haunted Grounds and STBFL so those who've seen me use DH before get bamboozled. : P
Another is Mad Grit, STBFL, Ruin, and Thrilling Tremors. This punishes altruistic survivors, allows you to pinpoint priority survivors on gens, and give you enough time to get a snowball. STBFL is one of the better perks for legion, since you can get a lot of stacks with Frenzy.
If you want a stall build just use Thanatophobia, Ruin, PGTW, and Corrupt intervention. Preferably with Fuming Mixtape, which I find to be more consistent than thrilling tremors because of the shorter cooldown of FF to TT. Legion by themselves is good at stalling with Mending, but you have to know where to go (why you bring fuming). Corrupt and Ruin is to stall for time, while Thanatophobia is to create a lot of slowdown, since people don't heal against Legion.
Although, if you want a build where you don't want to waste time, you could run Surge, Surveillance, STBFL, and BBQ. Not only do you get more BPs, you also don't have to worry about kicking a lot of gens, since Surge'll do it for you. STBFL reduces weapon cooldowns, and Surveillance will let you know which gens they're on.

Actually, while awake you only hear his terror radius (heartbeat). While asleep, you will only hear the lullaby.
But now it applies the oblivious effect as well, which is nice. : D
-
Thanks for the warning. I knew it was a weaker perk now, but to crash another's game? Now it will be the worst perk.

Doesn't matter how good you are with legion you will be completely destroyed by good survivors unless you play scummy. Clown is trash too. But I agree with all the others, if you are good you will 3k-4k most of your games.
Not true. Legion has some really good builds that aren't toxic. I've gotten them to red ranks all the time.

Trapper should be at least B tier and Demo should be B tier, in all honesty.

.... what?
How is that an excuse for the perk to only work while healthy?
You miss the point where I say other applications could've included sprinting, right?
-
Actually, they do have a lore thing, because they are the souls of other survivors. You sometimes see that as the killer when you sacrifice survivors (a bug, but one that is kind of interesting).

Why would it be broken? I haven't gotten the chance to try out Fixated yet, so I don't yet understand what the controversy with it is. My assumption is that it would be a pretty benign quality of life change to make it work while injured, but what is the argument against this?
Imagine that speed boost when running. That would make you faster then the killer.
-
This isn't a bug. The speed boost was always when in the healthy state and walking only. Any other application would be broken.
-
Aww... this made my Amanda's Letter build useless... : P
(Pair Amanda's Letter, Lery's, and Devour Hope.)

Pretty much this.
It could come back one day, but it wouldn't work with the way lobbies work right now. We would need to accommodate for the fact that you can invite players to your lobby and then switch. This is also why the button wasn't available in SWF before.
You could have it where it kicks you if you joined another or kicks everyone else if you invited them. That could be a solution.

It feel useless unless you have to combine Thana/Sloppy or use Plague
Why can perk alone itself can't be useful?
Why need keep obsession alive while they have free buff?
"Obsession is alive" thing should be remove
I think that'd be a decent change. Make it so it works similarly to Save the Best for Last, where you can keep tokens you have, but you can't gain any more.
-
I would like to see just one quality of life change to this perk, that you can keep some of the tokens when the obsession dies. That way it still works with its' name.

I should point out Demo's lunge works similarly to Nurse's blink and Billy's chainsaw. The longer you hold the attack button, the longer the lunge.

Even though its weak i still like the concept of it. I get bored of running pgtw, bbq, ruin and a random 4th perk every game.
True... but it no longer works with it's name now. Since... well... you have to keep the obsession alive. : P

Yeah, I see what you’re saying about the quirks. They were a good idea at the time, and maybe they still are and just need tweaking so that they’re small and don’t have a huge impact like perks do. I have another proposal to make in a thread I’ll be making later that applies to both sides, so we’ll see about that.
As for Sole Survivor, I definitely agree. I still think it needs a rework, but what I did is way too much. I realized now that it completely negates BBQ no matter what, and it requires no skill to use. Not only that, but there’s no drawback, which is what all obsession perks should have.
Lastly, this isn’t really that relevant, but I’m saying it anyway. Lauries, maybe, but Nancy’s quirk doesn’t block aura-reading, it shares it. So if Nancy runs Windows of Opportunity, then everybody within 8 meters also sees the auras that she sees, which in this case are the vaults and pallets. Laurie’s on the other hand, her quirk does absolutely nothing as long as everybody is alive.
But yeah, I still agree with what you’re saying. I just felt like saying all of that.
._.
I was referring to Nancy countering NOED and totems in general due to aura sharing and maps. : P
No worries. I prefer discussion. : )
-
And this is a problem because...?
-
Monto and Otzdarva for me.
Otz's builds are interesting to watch, and seeing how two rank 1 killers work from rank 3 is insightful. They incentivise different builds.
Maybe it's because I liked Dark Souls a lot before finding DBD, and seeing Otz here made me happy.
-
First off... No. This concept isn't great for the health of the game. @Mat_Sella and @TAG makes all the relevant points about this from the survivor side.
Secondly, Your change to Sole Survivor would make it a better Disruption. You might as well make that Disruption instead, and come up with something different.
Third: Killers would have to take this into account. Seeing Dwights on Gens would force them to go after them, for fear of a gen rush, and perks that are already counterable, like BBQ and NOED, would be useless against Lauries and Nancies. Too many things to take into account with all the second chance perks in the game.

More lucky than anything. It’s an outdated achievement. Nobody is gonna fix a generator once they are the last ones left.
I’m lucky enough to have gotten that Myers achievement when I was pretty new. I was Rank 18 I think.
True, but it's still true. I got the Myers achievement a few months ago, so I know what it took to get stuff like this.
I would rather it be something like this if it were going to change, though: Go open and escape through the powered gate as the last survivor in the match. Still hard, because you can't leave via hatch, but still more doable than now.
And, if we're on the topic, maybe a tone down on the Where did they go? achievement in some way would be nice too.
-
Again, this is more of a case of: this is an actual achievement for survivors similar to Evil Incarnate for Myers. Having this means you were either: very skilled, or very lucky.
-
I have two clutch escapes:
One as Adept Ash: We all got downed because NOED Nurse + Grim Pantry. Fortunately, I was downed away from any hooks. Flip Flop saved me because I was able to wiggle free before she could put me on a hook, and I was able to book it to the open gate. I got the achievement for that. : D
Another was one where I was wearing the new Ace fighter pilot jacket. Another Nurse with NOED, but not as good as the last one. Everyone else escaped via hatch, but I couldn't find it, so I was forced to open the gate and leave. That nurse made me miss the Where Did They Go? achievement. They were a camping Nurse too, so I don't feel bad they couldn't hook me once.

Imma have some fun with the new dying light. Time to bring out the thana, dying light, sloppy and nurses on freddy with a black box + swing chains. Feel bad for all the future games. They not gonna get anything done
I think the new Dying Light is a bit too weak. If you could keep what tokens you have after the obsession dies... because the obsession isn't effected by DL. You can get 8 tokens, but what does it matter if the one person left isn't effected? It's way worse.

Goddamnit, I forgot to save up 1 mil bp for the dlc but you reminded me just now. All those perks I could've gotten are now gone :/
I'm of the belief that you just level up like normal. I also don't have 1 mil BPs because that'd be unfeasable for me. : P
-
I would like to point out the progression is different on portable than on Console/PC. How does this affect the progression system for portable?
-
I'd rather have an original concept, because I would like to not have to buy every DLC just to play the killers. : P
-
Butcher them like the Spirit got butchered. I like your attitude. : D
-
Killers are already faster than survivors. Add PWYF and NOED... you can go pretty fast as the right killers...

Well then I have to bring up my point again of why even have an endgame at all?!
If the consensus is the 5th gen pops then killer has already failed, why should a killer even bother persisting trying?!?! May as well afk or get rid of endgame entirely.
Because you can still make plays for when survivors fail at the most crucial time. I've done that plenty of times, where, through bad luck on my part, I'm forced to face three survivors as pre-rework freddy and make sure they don't leave. Somehow I was able to get them all.
It's not about they've lost, since their prey hasn't escaped yet.
-
I was going to mention Ace because he was literally on the run from the Mob... but these are all pretty good contenders too.
-
Having Deep wounds is considered a health state (Which is why adrenaline works, which I think is stupid). I have no idea why they would make mending a non-healing action except for maybe balance around Nurse's Calling and Sloppy Butcher...
-
Hm, Well, you're not wrong. They are hard to play as is. I can play them well enough in Red, but I'm not like most people. I actively choose to play Legion a lot, after all.
Like @HatCreature, I think the movement speed of frenzy is one of the major weaknesses. But I also think them always trying to balance around Deep Wounds as it is now is also stopping them from properly balancing the kit. If Deep Wounds wasn't a BT timer in the first place, then it might allow for the part people like to actually be balanced properly, i.e. the running and stabbing frenzy... but hey, that's my two cents on the issue.
Either DW has to go, or become something survivors can play around while not just being a waste of an ability.
-
Jake, Adam, and Jeff.

Are they using Feral Frenzy when they find you? Killer Instinct is not an aura, so it works in lockers.
Yep, hitting in Frenzy is the reason for this. I love doing this because it's something most people don't expect.

So you dont know that this is easy outplayed with another cheap way of playing killer? Think again.
Oh look, someone who has a "new" argument.
It's new design was designed with one purpose. Anti Tunneling. If you hook someone, you aren't tunneling.
Slugging just makes it unfun for killers and survivors. You shouldn't encourage slugging because a perk exists.
-
Reminds me of the question: If a tree falls and noone is around to hear it...
But since you've been around for a while, I'm willing to take your word for it.
-
There's going to be adepts, of course, then probably one that requires you to down survivors with Demo's pounce.... because all killers have ones like that.
Other then that, I can't think of anything, but that's my guess...
-
@PyroDude said:
Looping as survivor.

Appearently I am really bad as Ghostface because I just can't the adept achievement with him.
The Adepts are broken. I should've gotten Clown's by now, but nope, rejected. : P
-
I'm really good at stealth as a survivor, but really mediocre at looping. I rely on pallets too much. : P
I'm a good killer overall, but I suck at Nurse, and Huntress hatchets just seem to magnetize to objects they had no right in hitting...
-
Decisive at least needs there to be a condition if someone is hooked before you, DS deactivates. It's meant to be anti tunnel, but it's far more than that.
