  • the distance between hooks is unreasonably short, i know that a while ago they’re wernt enough but many feel that you over corrected that problem.

Most of the time, survivors will try to block the killer and force them to go through pallets and flashlight blinds. Often enough, a survivor will wiggle free due to this interference, and often you'll only barely get to a hook. It's why I run agitation and mad grit.

I've seen four Petrified oak offerings against me every so often. So do not complain about too many.

Maybe we should limit the amount of pallet he actually has and maybe by looking at the pallet, if it is a dream one we can simply destroy it?

He only has 10 to start with.

  • "yoU hAvE tO PlAy tHe MeMoRy gAmE" yea because when the match starts and freddy is coming over me, placing 10 fake pallets, I can know that theyre…

Just as it's fun to chase a survivor around a pallet until you can get just close enough to them but then they drop a pallet on you. Maybe you should be punished for not paying attention to your environment for a while.

Boy, survivors can be entitled. Entitled to survive, entitled to rushing gens, entitled to rescues... Meh. : P

This is a symptom of that.

Can we please just change the rarity of the dream pallet addon. Why the hell is an addon as powerful as this common???

It's only powerful for those that don't know how to counter it. Honestly, give it a few months and we'll see how powerful they really are. Besides, the only real downsides of being asleep anymore are no TR and the Traps he places. I think things that change gameplay style should be lower than common, since it always makes you have to change the way you think with them.

@Rydog Im all for killers being able to have a higher skill ceiling to do more. Huntress and Billy come to mind as great exanples of when this is done and still feels fair. They both provide clear cues when theyre using their powers, which allows the survivor the ability to counterplay them. Neither of them also requires a particular perk to counterplay. If I get hit with a Huntress hatchet, its because my positioning was off. The character has a high skill ceiling in when you should pull out the hatchet as well as of course...aim.

There was a reason why the original Legion was so unpopular to play against. Even though the character didnt have the highest of kill counts, the person he was chasing didnt really have much say in how the chase went. At best, you would just stun him repeatedly with pallets to avoid death by a thousand stabs and hope he didnt have spirit fury. To compare and contrast him to Billy...While he has increased movement speed while using his power like Billy, the total control of his movement made it so activating his power at ANY time really had no downside. The character wasnt particularly powerful, but the survivors IN the chases actually could feel like participants rather than timers and targets when against a Billy as opposed to Legion.

The reason I bring up Legion is because Spirit shares something with him: Increased movement speed and total control. While Legion can no longer use it to get the down, making it abit more interactive during the 2nd half of the chase at least, Spirit doesnt have that restraint. She still gets to mad dash at you and down ya in the next hit. While it may feel skillful to get those hits in, it feels completely random and uninteractive on the receiving end. Unlike a Huntress' hatchet where you can duck behind a tree when you hear the audio cue of her taking out the hatchet, theres not that kind of counterplay to Spirit.

Someone brought up how sounds are kinda rough in some maps, but that has nothing to do with the player playing survivor. An echo throwing you off isnt me being skillful about avoiding your hits. Other ppl argue to just bring iron will, but realistically... It shouldnt REQUIRE a perk to counter any killer. Doc for example gets soft countered by Calm spirit, but running it isnt REQUIRED and the ppl NOT using it still have a good chance of winning their chases against Doc (Side note, I am completely in favor of buffing Doc to make his basekit beam more usable for skillful chases).

Anyways, thats pretty much my rant in a nutshell. If you do reply, make sure to use the @ function instead of just quoting me.

Well, yeah, it makes sense. But I disagree about Legion. Legion could only down you if they were able to get the hits (multiple). You could also stun them with a pallet more easily... Legion isn't the perfect killer, but he wasn't broken. Not as much as everyone said he was. Sure, nerf Frank's Mixtape. I don't care about that so much. But all legion games just feel the same now. Spirit games don't. Do you use your power to get close to the gen? Do you use it to catch up to them? Do you hit them now, or wait for a better position? So many questions Legion doesn't have the luxury to ask.

And I think having three killers where the Killer's control the chase instead of the survivors was a nice change of pace... but survivors are really used to the power role, so.... I'm not surprised this discussion about spirit exists.

Just a reminder that the main point of this post is theory crafting solutions.

So far I've just heard the collision thing, which is great but I'm sure people can come up with more idea's. Or does everyone think that would be sufficient?

I've heard a counter-argument which would just make people mad again. So, I think everyone's back at square one...

...or that most people just don't know how to counter spirit. Against spirit, you have to be stealthy, but most survivors don't like being stealthy...

  • That should be what mad grit is like normally. It'd make me run the perk more.

  • Why? It's a risk/reward system. You would delay him exposing you immediately, but you should be able to lose them by the time they get it back.

Here's the thing, survivors can already expose him from behind objects. Getting rid of any progress would be salt in the wounds. He's already weak to survive with friends, and pallet's force him from his power.

Him being able to save stalk is actually one of the only unique strategies he has, to take that away would make him less useful.

He is physically incapable of camping, because the hooked survivors can knock him out of it.

You're also forgetting that the Pig and Wraith should be a camping royalty too, since they can also hide terror radius! XD

Oh, and Kindred exists... and can show where he is regardless of his power.

DS/Borrowed Time can really make them regret tunneling anyways...

One last thing: Camping reduces points for the killer regardless.

He needs adjustements, its broken now.

The range for the tp should be 32 meters or less not infinite. And he should either place snares slower or look down and stay in place like the other killers that puts traps. Being able to do that while moving and super fast its unbalanced.

Freddy's teleport is very underwhelming. Nerfing that would just make him even worse.

And why would a master of dreams need to bend down in a dream to place a dream snare? Makes no sense when you think about it.

  • I did think that was interesting. No other killer had anything like that.

Personally, I like the Sloppy/Thana combo over Enduring/Spirit Fury. It isn't really chasing that's bothersome, but keeping pressure. Sloppy and Thana does that if they choose to heal, if they don't then I make them pay. :P

Then the typical BBQ and Ruin. Pretty much just run a slow-down build since Legion is good at chasing (could be better). I use to use overcharge before I got BBQ..... people dc'ed because I patrol more than get baited.

Add-ons, whatever works with your style really. I don't really use them so I have a stockpile.

Maybe add Dying Light for extra Pressure. XD

  • I find this build works for Legion best (At least for me):

BBQ & Chili (Finding people is a weakness of Legion.)

    Discordance (Locating the first survivors)

Brutal Strength (You get looped easily)

Remember Me (Stretch out the endgame for a few more seconds. Most of the time I don't get to this. This could be switched for Ruin if you want, but I don't have Ruin unlocked yet.)

I use Ruler addons and Julie's Mixtape.

  • Not a glitch but a feature. It's letting you know who knocked you out of Night Shroud. It makes survivors have to choose, will they let him stalk, or will they show where they are to him? I love it. : )

  • In a game earlier, I was able to take GF out of stalk from behind a tree. He couldn't see me, but I could see him. It's ridiculous.

  • @Tsulan said:

New killer released. Everyone is testing the new killer. That's why they queues are longer

This happened the last month before GF. I don't think it's the new killer that's the issue. I think it's just compounding it.

  • Well, I can say on Xbox it works well, but then again, auras are currently disabled through a bug so maybe it was a hit & miss?

  • Well, he does encourage that, but then again, Make Your Choice exists.

I had a problem with tunneling GFs on top of that though...

  • Infectious fright is good for if they are rushing a gen but you find at least one of them. I'm not good enough with that perk to say much yet, but the other three are good choices.
