At some point in the future, I really do want to see a 2v8 mode in KYF, or maybe even for public matches. I always wanted to team up with another friend and play some killer!
I would love to do that, and for killers it could even be semi-competitive on who can get the most sacrifices. That way they don't just gang up on one survivor at a time.
-
Or give Nea a scooby costume, against all logic (She's a cat person). XD
-
Well, it certainly fits the name.
-
Well, he is getting a teleport nerf, so I guess you won't have to worry about that so much...
-
If you're asking if they would just put on a blood layer for each cosmetic... not going to happen. They've explained why: It's not just just a layer they put on the default, they had to actually remake the cosmetic with blood on it. Imagine doing that for every one... it'd be a lot of work.

Oblivious only applies when a survivor is asleep, right? So if you are awake, and you unhook someone within Freddy's terror radius using BT, wouldn't it still apply the effect? (In other words, I'm saying that Freddy only disables BT for sleeping rescuers.)
Yes, absolutely.

Why don't require adept to be executed at Rank 1? Would make the achievement feel like you achieved something..
Because not everyone can get to rank 1... that and the emblem system screws with killers at that rank, since Gatekeeper is essentially in the survivors hands. Same with all of them, really. It takes a lot of killer skill to be able to accomplish that...
...and survivor adepts are just to escape. Double standard much?
-
I would describe him as a mid-high tier killer, one that you have to get used to. His shred attack is very unwieldy, but his portals give a high level of awareness at certain places.
Couple this with the ability to break pallets in the upcoming patch, and he'll be in a good spot.
He's one of those killers that it's easy to get Merciless on, at least for me. I got my adept two days ago against 2 rank 4s and a rank 5 and 6.

Nope, it's not most of the time. But if the survivor repair gens alone then it's useless :/
There are very few times when survivors would actively do gens alone.

They're all just situational like the Legion's perks.
One could argue that Discordance isn't a situational perk. I'd say Huntress's perks are very situational.
-
This is a survivor's wait time. For me, it takes 10 minutes to even get a lobby, and can take 15+ just for 4 people who stay to get a game.

that's Poised. It activates after you complete a gen, and at level 3 hides scratch marks for 10 seconds. It totally would work good with the speed boost, but as some have said it'd basically be sprint burst with only one way to use it.
I agree with @GeneralSpudmuffin that it should clear exhaustion effects/reduce the cooldown.
That's what I was thinking of.

Sure, sure keep telling yourself that.
If you all think it's useless for anything but BPs, then it's fine to nerf the aura reading, right?
The aura reading isn't useless, but a lot of people know how to counter it. If you can't, then that's on you, not the perk.

So all of the maps in the game, example for the original maps they all exist in the real world?
Yes. Or at least the Entity's misunderstanding and reconstruction of it. That's why new maps are added, because they are places of true horror.
It will then try to build them, but since it doesn't understand the real world, it fails and so we have multiple maps.

I see. You are definitely more nuanced then the only post that caught my eye. Thanks for clearing your position up.

I think this could work. Especially with the Entity like arms from her back like that. Very interesting.

Not true at all, for example I've met countless people that play both Killer and Survivor that could possible be the most entitled, toxic, and obnoxious people I've ever encounter in a game period.
This community really does foster some of the most entitled players I could've ever come across in my life time... And I've played A LOT of games. Most toxic people here are worse, due to them just being overall childish and without reason, at least some people in other games had some sort of care or reasoning for what they do/did.
Of course, this game can also have the nicest people you could come to know, its just unfortunate that it also can have some of the worst...
Well, you can't have good without bad.
-
I play both sides, and I've seen this to be true. I don't act toxic naturally, and after seeing survivors act that way to me, I refuse to do it to the killer.

Second Wind because I love anti-tunnel perks, and in general, perks that encourage better gameplay such as BBQ.
For me, I see that perk as a tunnel perk. If you see someone broken after getting unhooked, it's either Deliverance or second wind, and there is no way I'm going to let second wind get activated.
-
I'm actually a fan of Better Together. It encourages survivors to run to the gen to help, come for heals, or avoid if they're being chased. It's a decent all around perk. The kindred effect with downed survivors is a nice touch too.
It's made Solo survivor better for me. : )
-
Not really. If I'm killer, I love them, if I'm survivor, I hate them, but that's standard, really. It's all RNG.

I think it would be lovely because i'm a huge Stephen King fan but at the same time with the whole entity thing it still wouldn't work lore-wise.
I feel like The Demogorgon is for sure weaker then the entity and Pennywise. So, Entity could take Demogorgon to its realm but since Pennywise is basically a chaotic God/Cosmic evil IT would be stronger then the Entity unless the Entity is something much greater (which, lets be honest, Cosmic evil is hard to top). Unless Pennywise, perhaps, came to make a deal with the Entity. You know? like a deal betweeen two powerful forces.
But i really hope they can find a way to make it work. I'd love to see 2017 Pennywise in DBD.😁
The Entity has been growing stronger, according to dev interviews. That's the reason the abilities are getting more and more crazy (From Nurse to Spirit). Theoretically, there could be a point where it's stronger than Pennywise.

That may be, and I'm not opposed to atmosphere. I think this map goes kinda overboard with how loud everything is, though.
Absolutely. The ambient noise is way too loud.
-
The point of that map is no safe pallets. It's their new philosophy on map design. It's how they did Bedham, it's how they plan to make every map in the future.
-
1) That would be awesome.
2) Nah, it's too funny sometimes. XD

In my opinion it should go like this...
Surge: Is attatched to the killer's TR and stays and is a 6/7/8% for tiering
Cruel Limits: Is again also attatched to the TR but decrease the time it affects vault locations
MindBreaker: Just hard buff it and make it 100% for the entire gen duration or above 50% because survivors are much more likely to commit to a gen when it is closer to being done instead of father away.
Why should Cruel limits be attached to TR? It's attached to a gen radius.
The other two I agree though.

I can guarantee that the report system does something. I used to be an ACM before becoming a community manager and I can promise that there are people looking at those reports. They didn't pay us to stand around and look pretty, sadly.
For the switch roles button; this is a side effect of the lobby changes in 3.2.0. Since the SWF option has been merged with the solo option, the button needed to be removed. Otherwise, you could have a friend join your lobby, switch to killer, and then be able to play killer with your friends in a public match. That's not something we could have.
These changes also allowed us to automatically regroup people with their friends after a match, something that we've been requested for a long time. When we look at the two options- delay the whole feature so we can update that one button, or remove the button for the time being- the choice was pretty clear. We opted to add the feature that people have been asking for sooner rather than letting a single button hold everything back.
I've noticed that the invite system is sorely lacking, specifically, it's a lot harder to invite people you want since they don't show up in the list... because they're not given priority. Are there any plans to increase the size of the list, or at the very least, limit to only people who own the game? A lot of people on that list didn't even own the game in the first place... and took up slots that others could have.
For clarity, I'm on Xbox, and the invite system seems very counterintuitive to the previous one, imo. I know that I can invite from my friends list from pressing the Xbox center button, but that isn't always reliable.
-
That's comparing apples to grenades buddy.
Survivors (When bullying): GG EZ.
Survivors (When beaten): You a trash camper, noob.
Sounds like you don't play killer a lot. XD

Something like that would be fun, convert her blink into a rush attack or something.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/696903#Comment_696903
Same here, but I'm more interested in things that would change the game up and make every nurse feel a little different as atm it's just ruin /bbq on instablink/3 blink nurses
That's what I thought. Maybe not a rush attack, but just a really, really short blink.

So you want to be matched with new, inexperienced survivors just because you don't have perks equipped?
The matchmaking is already putting absolutely new & experienced players together and I don't think this is a lot of fun for anyone.
It's not just about no perks, but trying out an entirely new killer for the first time. My first game as Demo was against a similar situation with only level 1 surge. It's rediculous. You shouldn't get white or green survivors, granted, but then they shouldn't have a reset before the update, should they?

Why not both?
No I'm kidding. I only evert teabag if I'm trying to distract or if the killer is a huge camper. I will, however, 100% complain about NOED on The Game, because I can't find totems in that map to save my life (literally).
Small game exists, but totem spots are really consistent, I've found. If it's not in the bathroom, it will be in the freezer, there is usually an even split between upstairs and downstairs, check every corner of the map, as one will be in a corner...
I don't like to Tbag the killer in general, but I agree they deserve it if they camp, not just chasing a survivor around the hook, because dumb survivors are dumb survivors, but because they're actually just camping.
-
Sounds like it'd pair well with that jane perk (I don't remember the name right now), where the scratches disappear after you (or someone else) complete a gen.

lol that was NOT the entire point of my post, but sure. Let's run with that. -_-
I'm a survivor main and I don't think Mori's should be removed. Ebony Mori's maybe. Those are trash and there is nothing even close to being that powerful on the survivor side. But Mori's definitely have a place in DBD. Always have and always will
My rebuttal to your Ebony argument is DS and Keys. Until those are fixed/balanced, Moris are fine.
-
Hahaha... Sorry, but you don't even have an argument here.
Survivors in high ranks ruin games all the time, with their instaheals, instablinds, keys, DSs, BTs... etc. There are far more second chance perks and items that cause frustration for the killers then killers that use moris a lot... but you have no idea, because as you've said, you are new.
Mori games are few and far between, and with the Dying light changes, will be even fewer. It's unlikely that you will be suffer a lot of them.
Another thing I just thought of is that Killers get punished for using moris anyway, less points, and perks that are strong that require hooks as conditions to use (PGTW, BBQ, and MYC for example) don't activate, so it's putting them at a disadvantage. There is a time and a place for a mori. Sometimes mori'ing a person at the wrong time will put you at a disadvantage in game.
Most players who run moris do so to have a fun round instead of a sweaty one (if they're at purple and higher rank killers), so it's best to just let them have fun and find another game.
-
Nope, BBQ does not need a nerf. It's already not great in anything other than BPs.
-
Lol, that'd be funny if it was actually a thing... but that looks like a visual bug. : P
-
The cosmetics are expensive, but I think they wouldn't be a problem if you could get all of the non-lisenced ones for shards. (Because Licensed characters are really only there for the other companies to make money as well as Behavior).

Exactly, it helps a lot with grabbing Survivors out of lockers, and in-general FF chain-stabbing. Without it, it'd be really hard to chain-stab Survivors.
Yep. I like that mechanic a lot. Wouldn't want it changed, with exception being maybe on corn maps. XP

Technically, they have the capability to create simple AI, since the tutorial exists, but they probably won't since there's no money to be had there.
I for one would love an offline mode. : )

I do like the fact that it was introduced with Legion, because boy does it work, especially with Susie's mask.

Hold up - someone write a timeline of events please. :) I’m glad this thread exists I was curious myself as to how the survivors end up in these “trials”.
So, we have 4 random people who don’t know each other show up in a trial.
Yet they have time to prepare by bringing flashlight, medkit, etc.
So I haven’t read any backstory in the game about the survivors.
Are these supposed to be every day people who just * poof * end up in these areas?
Like Bill is at home enjoying a beer when * poof * he ends up at whatever map? Yet apparently he must know he’s going there hence preparing perks / add ons etc.
They're abducted by the Entity into it's realm from the real world. Everything you see in game that isn't a killer or survivor is the Entity's form. Think a lovecraftian god.
However, the Entity can only interact with the real world at places of extreme pain. That's why you have the maps you do in game.
The campfire is the survivor's only safety, the only one the Entity allows.
The entity feeds off of survivor hope, and each time a sacrifice happens, they lose a part of themselves.
Eventually, survivors will lose all hope and either:
- Die for the final time.
- Become a killer if broken enough.
We have yet to see or hear of either happening yet, though.

In that case, it could be nice to have a "waking up" animation for all survivors when the map reveal sequence occurs at the start of the match.
That would be nice.

Its a type of aura, a sub-aura. Tbh, it could be a notification honestly. Like how people fail skill-checks or fast vault, etc.
It's really a unique thing that only Legion has. I call it, the "Spider web aura effect" but saying that above is a mouthful lmao.
It's misleading to categorize it as an aura because it doesn't work like one, that's all.
Calling it a notification would be a good description.
I just call it heartbeat, since it acts like it.
