Can we talk about how with 2 survivors on a gen the time goes from 80 to 40 secs. Reduce the speed bonus from multiple survivors working on a gen and there we go balance.

Except you're wrong, as they've already done that. It reduces the time from 40 to 60 or something when 2 survivors are on a gen

Ok 3 games on from the last game I mentioned.

    Game vs the spirit.

    1 person instantly rage quits.

2nd person kills themself on hook.

Spirit goes full trthard against us last two. Tunneling hard.

    I depip. Escape cake wasted.

Was I meant to just "git gud" and carry a team of 2 to victory?

Still think survivors have it easy?

At least killers lose under more fair circumstances. Because the opposing team played well. Whether thats looping well or being optimal on the gens. Survivors get royally screwed over. Its no wonder they're always so salty and only play SWF.

So you blame the killer for survivors playing like jerks?

Yeh as they should have shown some mercy, if i was the killer in that game, i'm not saying i would have farmed but i would have left the hook the moment i hooked someone and gone to the other side of the map

  • though the reactions are often ridiculous, sometimes people will get annoyed at people doing at least 2 of the 3 big things (noed, camping, tunnelling) as though they are vaild, it's obvious that they are very powerful, and because the devs have never addressed this, they community deals with it by being cruel to people who abuse the power. Like i said before, its fine in small bits, but if you're doing all 3 to the extremes, you are abusing broken mechanics, the same why how your probably going to camp someone using ds and insta heal paired together, as in reality it's a broken combo that's too powerful and shouldn't be in the game. If it was up to me, noed would only work outside of a hooked persons 32m radius

Devs need to balance game around swf cause people will find way to communicate anyway. All that genrushing and other sht has a counter ( Ruin and other perks) if all survivors brought toolboxes just take mori whats the problem? People just like to whine about it the same as they whine about legit ways to play such as camping , tunneling

Legit, but not fun for either player. Anyway you don't always know what they're gonna bring, especially perk wise, so how is that a counter. Your simple statement doesnt really cover all my points. SWF can be balanced, i'm not saying it shouldn't be allowed and i dunno where you got that from. As for gen rushing, the entire community will disagree with u

@No_Cluie_Louis If you mean on console, as I said I think they're working towards implementing the same ban system as on PC. If you're talking about PC, that's just not true.

is it not? i didnt even know

  • i hated these objectives. They were no fun and only made it harder for survivors. Instead there needs to be some kind of alternate objective, that you don't have to do, but by doing so will gain something / make the killer lose something, similarly to hex perks, but not a perk and instead of the challenge being in finding it, the challenge would be in removing it.

  • @Fibijean said:
Isn't there already a ban system in place for people who commonly DC on purpose? I think they're working to implement it on consoles if they haven't already.

There are only perma bans, nothing inbetween

  • lol i've been trying to use it too, but it feel like i rarely works enough. Maybe they should increase skill check difficulty when using the perk but make it also more likely to trigger skill checks

Is what most of the "Killer Mains" asking for nerfs in this thread look like.

See that's the majority of killers replies to a killer arguing for the survivors side, which is my exact original point, most killers complain so much the survivors are op that they are getting overly nerfed, the original nerfs were mostly fine, but as we all saw from the event, adding extra objectives ontop of that is too much

Honestly bring back all the survivor changes (except for the exhaustion one because that one was extra stupid) and just straight up increase the time to do gens. I don't get why it's that hard to do. Sure they'll get backlash, but they're getting backlash either way so they might as well say [BAD WORD] it and do it. Instead of a gen being done in 80 seconds make it 120 seconds and then see how it works out. Maybe remove items like bnps or even toolboxes in general so gens don't pop left and right.

The game is horrible for solo survivors and super easy for tryhard swfs now because they know that the game can be over in 3 minutes so they become super sweaty to try and piss the killer off. Solos are usually there to have a bit of fun playing the game, cleanse a totem, open up a chest etc which will most likely make them end up on a hook and that really is no fun. This is pretty much the main reason why I haven't put any effort or bloodpoints into survivor.

    No, just no!
Gens are one of the most boring things that exist in a video game. Making it take longer would be terrible.
Just give survivors a new objective and then see how that turns out.

I actually don't mind that either. But if things go back like they used to then the game won't be boring because you'll be able to get chased without going down in 10 seconds. And if you happen to escape you can go back to a gen and keep going back and forth between being chased and working towards the escape.

Basically the main problem is the objective itself, it gets done way too quick and this game only needs something that would extend the time it takes for survivors to escape.

Yes, gens get completed to fast. But increasing the gen repair time is not the solution.
One or two more objectives would slow down the game pace.

I'm one of the survivors that doesn't mind doing generators. If they want to extend the game, they could add 5 more generators (require 10 to power the Exit Gates), but reduce the time needed to 60 seconds, I'd be fine with that. It would make gen rushing have a lesser effect in the overall game. Instead of 60% of the generators being completed at once, now only 30% of them are being completed.

I'm slightly hesitant about adding a second objective (looking at how the flowers did not affect game play, as in they could be ignored with no consequence), but I'm willing to see what the devs think of. What kind of secondary objective would you like to see added?

Yeh but let's be honest the flowers were just generators that took slightly less time to do, and came with no buffs, so by adding them it was just a massive survivor nerf. New objectives are a good idea but no one wants extra gens that look like plants

same goes for both killer and survivor, pipping is just no challenge any more, so you got idiots at both sides at rank 1, hence the bullying

The healing nerf only increased teamwork.

Now, after defending SWF for ages, teamwork is suddenly a bad thing?

    Like, really?

Survivor is still to easy, still to quick to complete the objective, SWF still OP, the majority of the killers are still not viable on high ranks, etc.

But survivor mains think that the increased lobby queues for killers mean that every survivor left the game. Which is simply nonsense.

It’s a bit dusty, but here

Whoops. Sorry I’m trying a new build

I was thinking more of the trapper or huntress mask meme.
    But ok.

    You mean this one.

See i get that a lot for defending survivors but im just a killer main who has common sense rather than just complaining that survivors are op. Sure, quite a few killer such as freddy are weak, but survivors arent op (except for maybe gen rushing swf), a nurse, billy, hag, or spirit can easily get a 3k at rank 1

On the other hand though. These flowers are the reason no one is playing survivor, it's just too difficult to do 5 gens + 5 shorter gens

That was my point ;), in adding another objective into this event some of the nerf's over the past few months seem like they could be obsolete and need reverting or reworked.

A Fog Whisperer did say on stream the event it was a test regarding more objectives being added into the game, they said the devs want to remove bloodlust from the game and also the healing nerf would no longer be needed, just two examples of changes made which could need to be reworked.

Except that the healing changes were pretty good, taking a hit is a decision now, before this patch I'd just run up and take a hit mindlessly for the WGLF stack. You are being punished for being hit esp if the killer has Sloppy Butcher. Also survivors don't need more objectives to get to the same goal (gates), they need more ways to escape to make the game more dynamic (like make survivors solve up to X puzzles to open a secret exit in e.g the killer shack, just a random idea thrown out there) but I feel like that's out of reach for the devs.

I totally agree with you, the game doesn't need more objectives that you have to do, it needs a bigger variety, meaning there are multiple ways to leave the trial, similarly to what friday the 13th and white noise 2 have done. Also yes the healing changes were great as now it's not as bad for the killer to leave the chase they're in to go fro easier prey.

  • @twistedmonkey said:
What I don't understand is the length of time they took to add in another objective, the event shows it can be done and what happens when they do in comparison to the usual do gens and get out.

How much work have they done over the past months that may need to be reworked if they decide to add them? Just seems like more objectives which lots of people asked for was the over all better solution to prolong the games imo.

On the other hand though. These flowers are the reason no one is playing survivor, it's just too difficult to do 5 gens + 5 shorter gens

Like i said before, the nerfs weren't what done right as SWF is indeed still OP and an objective based team will probably all escape. On the other hand if not SWF and your team isn't too objective based, as long as your against a good killer, one of none of you will escape. As for what you said about pipping, it's really easy to pip as killer, even if you only get 2 kills

It´s also really easy to pip as a survivor. 1 unhook + 1 gen = pip. You really have to be the first to be found + camped/tunneled to depip.

Exactly, where as killers will never de pip, as even if they get no kills, which is usually their own fault unlike a survivor being tunnelled, they can make up for it in other categories

Exactly! I have 900 hours on the game with about 550 of them as killer. I play most of the killers and i usually get a 3k without needing to camp or tunnel (sometimes swf friends or really objective based teams beat me tho). With billy i double pip about 60% of games and i think it's far to easy, i can't get out of the high ranks as killer. There are far too many bad killers out there, i don't understand how their can be so many in proportion to the bad ones but the ruin the game just as much as the toxic survivors if you ask me.

  • @ASurvkillivorer said:
Why is something this easy to fix still a problem?

Simple solution. There needs to be some kind of timer with exceptions of course. A timer that will show the survivors location if a certain amount of time goes by without them ever interacting with a generator or exit gate whatever it may be. Considering the AFK alerts don't take into consideration the terror radius of a killer (which they should) I don't see how this new timer could be an issue.

You're not on Xbox are you? I had the exact scenario happen a few days back. Smoked a team and had 1 survivor left alive with no gens done and no progress on any of the gens. They refused to do a single thing outside of void the crows I would get from an AFK player. After 20 minutes they finally responded to my message saying to come kill them. I made them bleed out. They actually told me to hurry up.

Problem is they weren't even immersed. They just wanted to be a jerk. My ruin was still active too and it wasn't even in a good spot. I stood still for minutes at a time. Nothing.

No i'm not on x-box but i totally agree with you they need to rework the afk system so it applies to players not playing the game

  • the most simple thing to do is use bbq and chilie. It's a great perk anyway but when you hook the second to last survivor (as long as you go far away and that's not a problem as usually you know roughly what side of the map the downed person is on), you'll be able to see the survivor.

How is Noed toxic? It’s a valid strategy for a killer and fair game considering a) it’s 4 v 1 and b) survivors shouldn’t dilly dally and should be reminded it’s not over til it’s over.

That’s not toxic. Saying the killer is probably committing suicide because of your match is though.

I spectated and told my friend not to save the Claudette and she sat there at rot on the hook and she died. I cannot stand farmers, it’s usually your own teammates. Those are just some examples. People will defend killers and claim they aren’t being toxic but the moment as survivors hits DS or blinds a killer they are toxic and deserve to be face camped. Entitled killer mains are all around. With facecamping and entitled killer mains you can’t argue, they aren’t breaking any rules. Scummy way to play? Yes, but not worth your breath. Either let yourself die on the hook or DC, not that hard to do

People say the survivors are the cause of our communities community but what you said about covers it. Sure the survivors are partly to blame, but all the scummy entitled killers will label anything as toxic and play as toxic as possible in reply. They keep crying DS and flashlight but really, the killer can choose mid game wether to be toxic mid game or not, but survivors are stuck with he load out they joined the game with. The killers can't be bullied because they always have the upper hand. They can decide to face camp toxic players and not to camp fair ones. They get the choice, and survivors have to accept i, so how are they the ones who are ruining the community.

Oh man... where do i start...
Killers don´t have the upper hand. They never had and probably never will. Killers can be easily bullied by survivors. Face camping doesn´t exist anymore. It was removed back in october, but survivors love the word, so now everything is called face camping.

Anything the killer does now is considered toxic by survivors. Survivors ran out of excuses to be toxic. So now they blame the killer. It´s the killers fault that they equipped DS. It´s the killers fault that they last second switched to flashlights. It´s the killers fault that he camps, when 3 survivors are camping the hook like a pack of hungry wolves. It´s the killers fault when they don´t get their ez escape.

Also, survivors can find flashlights in chests or get them from other survivors.

BOTH sides can be toxic and that’s what you aren’t realizing. Of course survivors can be toxic but blinding to save a teammate or hitting decisive is NOT toxic unless they CONTINUE to blind you at every pallet, teabag, and be unsportsmanlike. If you really hate flashlights and decisive then run enduring and lightborn...other than that I don’t know what to tell you. In all my games I run into flashlighting teammates only about 1 out of every 10 games.

Killers on the other hand that will target ONE survivor and facecamp with five gens still up (especially Leatherface reving his chainsaw in your face) can be considered to be pretty toxic. Facecamping exists still, but it has a counter which is the hook swivel. You can still look a survivor in the eye and be facecamping, it is a legit strategy...a bad one, still a strategy though. Just doesn’t make much sense to camp when five gens are up then whine and complain when they get gen-rushed.

Maybe instead of crying for survivor nerfs, learn how to work around it...a coordinated group of SWF will always give you a run for your money. I don’t get mad because it is a video game, both sides want to win and the more skilled side will more than likely win whether it is asymmetrical or not. Sometimes the side that plays dirty wins whether it be an Insidious basment Leatherface or a flashlight SWF group.

Of course both sides can be toxic. But i almost only see toxic survivors. Hell they are even toxic to their own teammates, when something goes wrong. No, not every survivor is toxic. But there sure are enough of them, where 1 is rank 20 and the rest is in red ranks. Those don´t play just to escape. Those play to be as toxic as possible.

I keep hearing those horror stories of face camping leatherfaces that camp you with 5 gens. But i´ve never seen one. I played almost exclusivly survivor for the last 2 months. I had maybe 2 toxic killers. But no face camping monsters you seem to encounter every match. But then again, i wouldn´t loop a leatherface around a basement.

There is no working around it btw. Killer can´t be at 4 places at the same time. If he chases 1 survivor, the other ones can do gens. If he switches target, the first one goes back to a gen. The ONLY way around it, would be to play highly mobile killers like Billy or Nurse all the time. and even then, survivors can gen rush you.

Wraith and Pig players are the typical face camping killers. I had a Wraith who caught somebody (with five gens left by the way) and put them in the basement and they had Insidious. Not what I like to go against but I’m not gonna say they were wrong in doing so...it’s a scummy way to play but they aren’t breaking any rules. Well lucky you then, or maybe you play more stealthy than the getting into chases type. I get hard camped very often.
