  • Except I did offer ideas and linked to a GOOD thread not made by an an exceptional individual: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/98487/#Comment_98487

I'll call a spade a spade. If you have ######### ideas then I will point them out if they're exceptional enough. This isn't some hug box like the Reddit.

Yeah but I hate to tell you that your just being a d***, period. @Orion said my idea wasn't great which I know, my ideas won't always be perfect. However @Orion was nice about it and gave me feedback which is what I like to see! You should be more like him and stop being a jerk, seriously drop the attitude, it's not needed here! Thanks!

Edit: Thanks @Kamikaze_Rose for defending me! :) I know that we didn't agree on my Lagacy thread but you was nice about it! Thanks!

Killers don't need more drawbacks. They need fewer drawbacks that actually make sense given their powers (for example, the Nurse can teleport and the Huntress can hit them from a distance, so it makes sense they're slow "walkers").

Nurse has fatigue after she uses her power, that's her weakness because survivors can break LoS and lose her. Slow movement speed for her isn't a problem when she can go 333% with her blinks and quickly down survivors. Every killer needs some sort of weakness, one that's personal and another one that is called teamwork. If every killer had no weakness, survivors would be completely defenseless. I'm not saying that killer's shouldn't be weak, but I am saying that every killer needs a area that they struggle in. LF, while being a close range punisher needs a weakness that survivors can capitalize on just like nurse so I decided a better chainsaw for limited use was a great idea.
    • If you can't figure out why your ideas are terrible then no one can help you.

The problem with LF is that he can't counter looping the same way Billy can and he lacks mobility. It's as simple as that. And your terrible ideas doesn't address that at all. Not even remotely. I think you're the same guy who made a terrible thread about increasing the timer for the Pig's traps or some such nonsense.

All of your ideas are bad. Just stop. There's already been plenty of threads with USEFUL suggestions to buff LF. Yours is complete and total garbage.

      image

Hmm, I'm just gonna ignore you! You don't give me constructive feedback and your just being a complete jerk, you look silly when you act uncivilized so please stop! :+1:

P.S: You didn't even read my entire thread on why I increased the timer of the RBT. When your RBT timer is active, generators would drastically speed up the RBT timer but you wouldn't know this because you didn't even read the entire thread! :)

Making his power reliant on "charges", even if they fill quickly, will make him considerably weaker. Such a thing is only used for Killers who can injure Survivors from a distance (Trapper, Huntress) or otherwise immediately go to where they are (Hag). It's not for an M1 Killer who's mostly good at defending locations from pesky Survivors or downing multiple Survivors if they're close together.

EDIT: Come to think of it, why does it take charges to ACTIVATE the chainsaw (required for the use of his power; this would be like if the Huntress consumed a hatchet even if she cancelled the throw), and why does he need to have a specific number of charges to do so in the first place? This is a straight-up nerf.

I mean yeah but your only focusing on the negatives and ever killer needs a weakness. Leather Face can now go even further with his chainsaw! That's right, he can do a 8.5 second chainsaw swing which is much more better than his previous chainsaw swing! Additionally it takes 20 seconds to regain all 10 charges, maybe I can add something where he gets 4 charges back when takes out a pallet with his chainsaw? Overall, thank you for the polite and kind constructive feedback! :)
    • I read the entirety of the OP post and I don't see how in any way this would make him better. It would definitely make him worse, that's for sure.

Ooo, if you read my post, then you would have see this @Hillbilly420.

Constructive feedback is already welcomed, now if your just coming here to say my idea is just bad WITHOUT any reasoning on why then your acting like an idiot period!

    • You do realize that people have their madness increased just by being in his terror radius. How is him going into punishment mode even relevant?

If the Doctor is in punishment mode, survivors cannot gain madness when in his TR. Agitation which increases his TR doesn't help the Doctor since when he picks up a survivor, he automatically switches to punishment mode thus making the bigger TR useless.

I hope it's Kuchisake Onna or any female killer cause the Japanese ones are terrifying

I wanna see a really REALLY buffed woman who has a rage ability that can destroy survivors lol.
    • This would really be an interesting way to rework his playstyle. Love it. The only concern I would have is, that it might take BHVR too much ressources to do such a full rework. But that's something outside of our control.

The only question is: His AddOns require a rework as well. How do you think should an AddOn rework walk hand in hand with such a power rework?

They can add new add-ons or rework add-ons that decreases how much charges he consumes, AKA better efficiency when using his chainsaw. Another add-on can increase his maximum amount of charges which means LF can use his chainsaw longer. His acceleration add-ons need to be reworked where LF has a higher movement speed when he's swinging his chainsaw (This allows him to catch up to survivors faster), not increase the ramp speed that he reaches top movement speed in his chainsaw swing.
    • βLAKE said:

How does LF regain his chainsaw charges? Does he just regain the charges by not using the chainsaw over time?

Yes, that's how he regain charges by not using his chainsaw! :)
    • BHVR needs to make money somehow, don't you love the new content they are adding? That's because there is people like me who will support this game, overpriced or not! Would you rather have a game that never gets DLC and never gets balanced? (Even tho some of the balancing they did is questionable, regardless they are showing that they care about their game by just trying!)
    • Bartex said:

it was just a clickbait, delete nurse thanks : )

      Nice b8 m8! :+1:
    • Yeah, exactly. It barely inconveniences survivors at all. Which is right where the devs want things. It'll never change even if it could be a really cool/interesting mechanic.

Hopefully they'll look into blindness in their roadmap, it needs some love.
    • Right now blindness is hardly even an inconvenience for survivors. Exactly how they and the devs like it.

The only thing blindness is good for is hiding where you hooked survivors. Even then the survivors still see the dark bubble where the hooked survivor is hooked at sadly.
    • They'll never buff blindness. It works great for survivors as it is.

      Elaborate?
    • Yea but i mean the whole extreme darkness part of mind's eye without the aura reading at all. Just like 4 meter vision sight or similar. And it nulls both the red stain and the terror radius BUT you keep the heartbeat so its not super broken (a skilled player will be able to still loop due to 6 meter sight range and map knowledge.)

It wouldn't be that bad, they probably need to test it on the PTB but I think your idea will work really well! Great brainstorming!
    • YES THAT IT. I forgot the name.

Yeah, that would be the perfect addition to blindness! Any auras revealed in the darkness would not be revealed to you as well! Great idea @pauloandrade22!
    • If you use Third Seal and get a hit on everyone they can't see hooks. If they can't see hooks it's harder to save. Once you hit everyone they have to find the totem or they will be forced to rush saves when they see where you hooked. If you use Knockout they have no idea where the down was, and you can slug the guy on the ground. If he doesn't have Unbreakable or NM he's just like a missing survivor. SWF also beats it, but some maps like Lerys or Game are still really hard to navigate, just don't use hook in the common spots, do it on a random tile and they can find them.

Oh @thesuicidefox, you know the dark bubble that surrounds the hooked survivor when they are first hooked? Even if your blinded, you'll always see that dark bubble which ruins the point of having blindness. I tried using Third Seal and they were getting safes really fast still. Blindness just needs more things to it then it already has to make it more better.
    • @Nickenzie said:
Hey, me again with my blindness threads  I already made a "blindness needs some love" thread but now I'm here with some ideas on how to make it better! So here's my rework of the blindness status effect! :)

      Blindness:
Survivors will be surrounded from all directions by extremely dense fog that's X meters away from the survivor. Any auras that's revealed in the extremely dense fog will not be revealed to the survivor.
The extremely dense fog only appears in the client side for the affected survivor.

Edit: Also remove the bubble animation that survivors see around the hooked survivor when the hooked survivor just got hooked.

Now, this should make blindness that much better! What do you all think? Please don't give me hate mail or bad feedback, thanks! :)

make it like the new blind survivor from indentity V as well. total darkness tho.

Do you have a screenshot? I play Identity V but I never seen a blindness status effect on there unless your talking about the "minds eye" character! :)

Why having Rules Set NO.2 built in to her main kit such a problem? Seriously, it won't kill survivors unless they are brain dead. I'm really aggravated because survivors make something small and make it seem like it's OP! Please tell me how Rules Set NO.2 will make a RBT deadly now?

Edit: Sorry for my baby fit @Mc_Harty but again, why is that such a problem?

      I never said it was?

I said I don't understand why Rule Set No.2 isn't part of her main build.

Oh, my apologies! I thought you didn't understand why everyone wanted it for her main kit! Again, my apologies! :)

F13th is dead, and the devs have no plans to add Jason.

      Did someone say... "DÉJÀ VU"?!
    • RotBb said:
Yeah sure, but still, you have to remeber two of her add-ons still don’t even do anything! Bag of gears and crate of gears don’t slow down search speed. Also, Hex: Huntresses Lullaby doesn’t effect Jigsaw boxes, making three other add-one useless (increase skill check fail penalty)
I know but I think reducing the death timer is a bad buff IMO. Maybe make the first Jigsaw Box not have the correct key?
    • M2Fream said:
Upon hitting a great skillcheck, any negative status effect will lose 5/8/10% overall "material" (like lose 10% of the circle the time left is represented by)
And a good skillcheck will lose 2/3/4% material.
Hitting a great skillcheck will also do the same thing for the nearest survivor with a negative status effect.
Interesting idea @M2Fream! Would definitely make this perk much better! :)

      No one left behind
      Dark sense
      Left behind
      This is not happening
      Streetwise

      Killers
      Beast of prey
      Overwhelming presence
      Thanatophobia
      Iron grasp
      Monstrous shrine
      Unrelenting
      Fire up
      Hangman's trick
      Surveillance

    • Clown is fine and the most balanced killer in DBD IMO. Please just, you know, be stealthy instead of trying to pallet loop him.
    • I think they should make RBTs deadlier. I know it's supposed to stall but when the survivor can take it off after searching one box, it really doesn't do much. Besides, The Pig and Michael Myers are the only killers who can actually "kill" survivors with their power so they should be feared.

I was thinking about having Rules Set NO. 2 built in to her main kit and have the new Rules Set NO.2 permanently hide Jigsaw auras. Additionally make the first Jigsaw box not have the key so survivors can't instantly get them off. With these two changes, a disabled RBT will be a threat since you can't see the Jigsaw boxes, thus you have to waste time and find them or wait for your timer to activate to see the auras.

I wish we would have the possibility to kick a single survivor instead of having to dodge the whole lobby and then have to remake everything.
Just enable that feature only if the surivor has above 150/200 ping or whatever, so that it cant be abused.

      Or maybe dedicated servers?
    • I want a killer that can grab you from a distance and pull you to the killer for a hit on the survivors. Additionally I want a killer than can carry survivors on it's back for awhile, this wouldn't be the same as the carrying a survivor to a hook.

They released the PTB for Chapter 8 five days after the initial teaser (Off the beaten track), so seeing as they dropped the teaser earlier today and if they are following the same pattern, it's possible that we will be able to try out the new stuff sometime on Wednesday or maybe Thursday.

I don't know, the very first teaser for the clown was a picture and then the video was like a month later then the PTB dropped after. Maybe this is the first teaser, then the second will be in 2-3 weeks then the PTB?
    • Yes. I never had a chance to earn one sadly and not Queen told me they ain't for console, sucks but it's whatever lol.
    • The Pig? A buff?

      Sure. Simple.

Make her default trap time 2:00. Isn't it 2:30 now?

Reduce it by 30 seconds. That directly buffs her.

Then your dead if the Pig uses "Tampered Timer" and "Jigsaw's Sketch". 1:30 with 5 boxes, you need RNG on your side to have a chance to survivor or communicate to the other survivors to not do a generator lol. Nice suggestion tho! :)
    • That's a shame.I think you'd be a pretty good mod since you're easily one of the most positive people on the forums.

Aww, thanks! How about you @ShrimpTwiggs? Do you think that you have the responsibilities to be a mod?
    • powerbats said:

Having a lot of time is always nice but dedication to being as good member of the community is more important. I've seen cuntless mods who had plenty of time but were complete jerks while others with little time were better and vice versa.

I mean yeah, if I have the time to check the forums then I will but if I can't... then I can't. There's no shame in saying that you can't be a mod because not everyone is able to be a great example like @Peanits. Overall, I have mixed feelings because why make me mod when someone else can be more active than me, ya know?

Kinda off topic but I wanna point this out by saying if you disagree with DC'ing... Why do you DC then? (Just tell me in my profile mail so we don't derail this thread) Just so ironic because I expected you to stick with your word. :(
    • I don't think I'm ready for being a mod, don't get me wrong... I absolutely LOVE DBD to death but I don't think I can be as active. Especially when school is starting for me, I simply can't be on a lot and I feel like I'm letting my community down when I'm not there to help you all, ya know? However I will always assist a mod tho.
    • @not_Queen has playfully roasted me about how the system works and etc. Hopefully this helps you understand why ruining 50 games doesn't get you banned! :unamused:
      not_Queen said:

      We ban for disconnects

We do not ban systematically if you leave only one game, we ban players that leave more than a % of their games over a certain period of time. We are aware disconnecting is a problem and can ruin the game experience. Repeating offenders are getting increased bans.

We have automated bans for hacks and cheats

We always have people working on new detection tools.

We have a team reviewing in-game reports, chat logs and investigating hacks / cheats

We have enough information to make a decision and investigate cases of hacks and cheats as well as harrassment and greifing. Video evidence isn't necessary for every case but can make the investigation faster when we can access it. We are also working on a feature that will allow the players to give more evidence, if they want, through the in-game report.

There is no way to identify an intentional DC. I can just pull the plug of my internet cable. The game will think my lights went out. Or something like that.
An occasional DC shouldn´t be a problem. But having a long list of DCs?

I probably have around 5 every month which isn't bad since I have no control on when the DC glitch happens. Hopefully they do make DC'ing more severe tho because it's really abused.

      What would it be?
He can grab a survivor with his hand by their throat and throw the survivor. If the survivor hits a wall, the survivor will take one health state worth of damage. If the survivor hits another survivor, they both take one health state worth of damage. If the survivor doesn't hit anything, they don't take any damage. The survivor can wiggle free which takes 30 seconds.
    • Milo said:

      For survivor.....

(Insert text here). When you drop a pallet (potentially vault a pallet) break into a sprint at 150% for 3 seconds.
You become exhausted for 60/50/40 seconds (maybe less because it depends on the pallets?)
You cannot recover exhaustion when sprinting

I wouldn't want it trigger when you vault a pallet since Lithe does that already when you vault anything. Overall, I like this idea and I don't think exhaustion should be reduced in my opinion to be honest, this will keep it in line with other perks!
    • SenzuDuck said:

" I said that your opinion is basically inaccurate"

      an opinion being inaccurate, lol.

You actually can't make this stuff up.

Yes, and any killer can make a 4 man swf flashlight team look bad. It's almost as if... i don't know... some matches are good and some are bad.

I'm terrible with the doctor because I'm just not good with him, he still doesn't need a buff though even though I'm bad with him.

Not gonna argue with you lol.
    • SenzuDuck said:

My picture was to prove I play killer, seeing as you think I can't have an opinion against a killer buff and actually play them.

I'm not lying, you play the game, you play it enough you hit rank one. I don't struggle and i don't think I've ever actually gone down a killer rank unless it's rank one where there's only one pip and one bad game puts you into rank 2.

but yes - continue to tell me I don't play killer because I think the doctor is in a good place.

I'm just gonna sum up everything because your not getting my point and I'm not gonna argue with you lol. Just because you can do good with the Doctor, that doesn't mean he's in a good spot. I can play Freddy absolutely fine but does that mean Freddy is in a good spot? Absolutely not! Additionally, I never said that you can't have a opinion, I said that your opinion is basically inaccurate for reasons above.

As you may or may not know, survivors can make any killer look OP. Period.

    • Congrats @Lowbei, keep it up fan! :)
    • I can say that it's easy as well with a screen shot, look, look lol! Sorry, not trying to be rude but that's what I'm getting from you.

Your seriously lying if you think that reaching rank 1 killer is easy.
    • Lol, really tho? I love using Solo Survivor and when the killer drops me for the 3rd time, I'll begin to wiggle and get an easy escape. Besides, what else does the killer has against DS? C'mon, I dare you because I'll shoot it down! :chuffed:

    • I mean yeah that's cool and all but... why tho? It doesn't take long to get both cosmetics if you just play a few games every day. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that they gave us more time but I don't know why they did tho.
