Oh my apologies, I couldn't really see what point you was trying to make the first time! Thanks!Orion said:@Nickenzie said:

Can't wait for him to make a "NURSE OP, BVHR PLEASE NERF!" Thread! Like for real, just learn the game more before you start posting because it's like playing a game for 5 minutes then you go off by the 5 minutes you have played.

This here, if you don't have hope in the Entity's realm then you'll the starve Entity. Like for real, all you have to do is know that there's no escape and then the Entity would have no reason to keep in it's realm, thus releasing you from it's realm if it decides that your not a keeper! So, in theory your saving yourself and what other survivor you took their place for which is a double win! Good thinking @Orion!Orion said:Yes. The Entity would either starve (since I know for a fact there's no way out, I'd have no hope) or kick me out because I'd have no hope.

Yeah, for survivor it's really easy to reach rank 1 @SenzuDuck because all you have to do is use stuff like DS, SB, SC, and any of your crutch perks to guarantee a win! However for a killer it isn't tho, obviously you don't play killer, I wanna see you eat your own words when your rank 1 playing killer, go ahead and prove me wrong on how difficult it is to reach rank 1 killer. You'll get bonus points if you do it with Freddy!SenzuDuck said:Why do people think reaching rank 1/2/3/4 is difficult? If you ask us how to make DbD more fun then I will say... Try perk combos! For example: SC + Botany Knowledge; Ace In The Hole + Plumbers; OoO + SS;

I'm talking about GOOD killers vs GOOD survivors. The killer should at least get a 2k if not higher, this killer was really good yet gets a 0k. I know that I don't have a video but you gonna take my word on that, besides... how else did he reach rank 2?SenzuDuck said:who is playing who is irrelevant. To be honest, Doctor needs buffs. I made multiple threads about him but no one actually liked them. Additionally the OP thinks that he's overpowered, he's not tho... I actually think that he's low tier if your going against the best survivors IMO. Herman Carter diagnosed you with...SnakeSound222 said:Nope. Restraint has two easy counters.
1. You can just run through the illusion to get it to disappear.
2. The illusions do not track your movements. You can move somewhere else and the illusion will not move. It only moves when a the duration is up and new one appears. You can trick the Doctor into thinking that the illusion is revealing your location while you go finish a gen or Snap Out of It (If you’re in Madness 3).

I know people abuse the system and that sucks, they ruin it for everybody. However I'm just gonna sum up my opinion and call it quits after I post my opinion.Tsulan said:I know you only have good intentions. But people abuse the system whenever they can. There needs to be a punishment. Because you hare hurting your team (or the other team) every time you dc. Even if it´s unintentional.
My Opinion:
If you DC intentionally then you should absolutely 100% be punished, no doubts about that. However if you DC unintentionally, the punishment should be less severe than the punishment for intentionally DC'ing. If BHVR can program a system that can differentiate a unintentional DC from a intentional DC, that would be great.
Keep in mind that I almost never DC (well maybe once but I was playing killer and survivors were making me upset, just needed a break from DbD).

This made me laugh! Thanks for that!Rex_Huin said:Piece of Booty – Double XP awarded for hooking female survivors

The thing is that it's not my problem tho, it's BHVR's problem and they need to fix it. Who knows how long BHVR will take to fix that glitch anyways, days, months, or even years! The glitch is random and there's literally NOTHING in my power that I can do to stop the glitch, trust me if I could stop it, I would. One time there was 4 party streamers on the offering wall and guess what, it glitches me out, I was so upset but what could I have done different to stop that? Frrl tho, Overwatch didn't punish me for leaving because it couldn't load my competitive game and decided kicked me out. That only happens once every six months for me but should I stop playing Overwatch because of that, absolutely not, a game is gonna have glitches regardless.Master said:It that glitch happens that frequently, then you shouldnt be playing the game anyway and instead investigate your problem, In other competitive ranked games, there is no difference between leaving the game and DCing the game.
In fact everybody can actually DC on purpose, so it doesnt help to only punish the Esc-way of leaving
Any punishment system shouldn't punish people for something that they absolutely couldn't help. I know you can't tell the difference between a intentional DC and a accidental DC but the game should be able to tell if it crashed, thus not punishing the player. Period. You can punish me for anything else but not if it's the games fault for the DC or at least give me a free pass! -

I agree with him if the player literally pauses the game and hits the "leave game" button. However if a DC was out of your control such as the known DC glitch on the console version of DbD then why get punished for an action that the game did? I know 5 minutes is nothing since it's takes that long to start the game back up but again, if the DC glitch keeps happening then it'll build up to 15 minutes... 30... 1 hour... etc...Tsulan said:I agree with @Master
There needs to be a severe punishment for disconnecters. One thing is a problem with the internet or the lights go off. In both cases, those 5 minutes won´t harm you, since you wont be able to play anyway. There also needs to be a escalation when people continue to disconnect.
Just had a match as Freddy. After my first 2 hooks, i downed 1 in the cornfield. 1 with a purple flashlight was ready to ambush me to blind me. But i hunt him down instead. When i was about to hook him, he and his 2 friends disconnected. Leaving 1 survivor behind who didn´t know what happend. That´s really something that needs a punishment. Escalate the punishment automatically if the whole SWF team disconnects.
I know I'm kinda overreacting but I do get this glitch often and would not like to get punished at all for something the game did, not me. I get this glitch like 5 times a month but it really depends on how much I play DbD. -
Well obviously you thought that I was the doctor because you didn't look at EVERYTHING on the screen shot the first time and then assumed that I wanted buffs due to me getting destroyed. No that's not true at all tho, that's why you have to pay attention because all of that was just you poorly examining the situation. However back on topic, I'm not saying EVERY Doctor gets destroyed but I do see a lot of doctors in my games that do get destroyed. That's what my screen shot was supposed to say, of course it's kinda misleading but it gets the point across that any good killer shouldn't have a 0k against good survivors, ya know?SenzuDuck said:I looked at the important info on the screenshot (who escaped, points) reading the names is irrelevant. Doctors smash people all the time, just the same as survivors smash doctors all the time. He's in a good place.

Actually I disagree with how aggressive your DC punishment is, no offense because if the game keeps DC'ing me due a DC glitch eventually my DC punishment will around an hour. Again, would you like to get blamed for something that you didn't do @Master? Not even Overwatch's system is that aggressive, yes one time Overwatch glitched on me (Infinite loading screen bug) and it didn't punish me during competitive because it's system knows that it wasn't my fault at all. It's okay tho, we won't always agree and that's completely fine!Master said:Yes thats the case for any other competitive game too. Take any moba, dota, lol or whatever or take a shooter like counterstrike or rainbow six or a "casual" competitive game like rocket leauge.
If your game crashes or sth like that you will have to wait the 5 minutes to queue again. The punishments only become a problem if you DC frequently, but in this case you shouldnt be playing a competitive mulitplayer game anyway. And no, pulling the plug has to be punished the same of course.
Something makes me think that you just wanna keep your "exit strategy" because waiting 5 minutes after a crash shouldnt be a big deal at all. You even need a few minutes before you get into the game again, then maybe spend 2 minutes on the forum and create a thread "this trash game crashes all the time"
The fact that in a COMPETITIVE RANKED multiplayer game, you can simply esc-leave or pull the plub without ANY punishment is just ridiculous. Of course it will be abused and we see the result currently ingame. And im not gonna lie, I started DCing too because why not? A non-obsession DS in a SWF? Nah,, im not gonna bother, why should I? Just DC like everyone else..... another nurse? nah cant loop...: DC
thrid time swamp in a row? Nah thanks......thats what the game has become. Sometimes you spend more time in queue than actually playing the game

-
Wait a second, are you saying that if I get kicked from DbD and it's completely not my fault I should still get punished? If so then why because that's completely unfair for me! Additionally like you said, the 5 minute punishment will begin to get more severe if I keep DC'ing due to a glitch that kicks me from the game. That's completely out of my control, like for real, how can I prevent a unpredictable glitch from happening lol. I do agree if the survivor or killer pauses the game and hits the "Leave Game" button, they should get a DC punishment. If someone pulls the plug, they should get 1 free pass from the DC punishment but anymore will result in the 5 minute punishment and it get more severe if they keep unplugging their game. Why a free pass? Because there's no real way to detect if you intentionally unplugged your internet or simply your power went out or you accidentally hit the power button on your console.Master said:Doesnt matter, you should be fine dealing with a 5 min queue if you get kicked out of the game. It doesnt happen too often. The real problem are the ragequits

I wouldn't mind a DC punishment that gets more severe every time you DC. However I play on console a lot and I often get kicked out of DbD from the loading screen... Not sure if this is a glitch but how would the system detect if it's actually not your fault for the DC?Master said:I know that you will eventualyl receive a bann if you DC in 80% of your games.
There are hackers/cheaters out there who are actually on a challenge how long they can cheat undetected....Personally I dont care about cheaters and hackers, they are quite rare
But it cant be real that DCs happen like every 2nd game.DBD should simply introduce a queue punishment for DCs like EVERY other competitive game has. 5 min for first DC, 15 second etc etc. Its really not that hard

I think the community is like this currently because we aren't accepting. For example: Let's say a survivor gets tunneled and camped, later he gets sacrificed, then gets upset to make a thread saying "Camping is stupid". Instead the survivor should have accepted his loss and move on, can't win every game anyways.powerbats said:IT will take time, but eventually the community will get to the better place we all want it to be. We do not ban systematically if you leave only one game, we ban players that leave more than a % of their games over a certain period of time. We are aware disconnecting is a problem and can ruin the game experience. Repeating offenders are getting increased bans.
We have automated bans for hacks and cheats
We always have people working on new detection tools.
We have a team reviewing in-game reports, chat logs and investigating hacks / cheats
We have enough information to make a decision and investigate cases of hacks and cheats as well as harrassment and greifing. Video evidence isn't necessary for every case but can make the investigation faster when we can access it. We are also working on a feature that will allow the players to give more evidence, if they want, through the in-game report.

I was thinking that the struggle phase should have skill checks that appear every 5 seconds. Getting a great skill check will add an additional second to your sacrifice timer and a good skill just keeps you struggling for your life. If you miss the skill check because you went for a great then you instantly get sacrificed as if you stopped hitting the struggle button on the live version. I think this would be okay since it's risk and reward for more time on the hook.GT_Legend2 said:For one, the values are incredibly powerful considering how precise DBD needs to be. I like step 2 since it adds a realistic factor to starting a generator, as like you won't always start your lawnmower in one pull.Tsulan said:
I like 1, because that 10% regression would stop gen tapping mid chase. Not sure about 2. Something similar could be achieved with a different objective.
But 3 is a no go. Yes, gens would be done slower, but since neither survivors nor the killer can interact with it (after that one slowdown hit). It would be boring for survivors. Because nothing to do, and boring for killers, because where do they search the survivors?
Survivors need more (interesting) objectives.
Gasoline, parts for the gens, locks on the exit gate interruptor (where survivors have to find keys during the match), etc.
Step 3 is interesting and I'll answer your questions!
Where will the killer search for survivors?
Answer: Even if there's one generator remaining, there could be other survivors that don't know that the final generator warming up. You could catch another survivor working on a generator if they don't know that and think they still need to finish a generator. Additionally, you can look at the moving pistons! If the pistons are slightly moving then you know recently a survivor was just here so you know someone is in this general area!
Edit: Thank you for the polite feedback!

I really wanna keep the RNG because it's gives a realistic factor. You won't always start your lawnmower in one pull, you have to try a couple of times sometimes to get it to start. Here, I'll increase the RNG to 50% but I don't think it should be any higher tho.Milo said:Maybe instead of RNG make it so you have to interact with every side of the gen (that is avaible) in stage 2
- remember in stage 3 of your suggestion killer can still break it giving it even more time. Also how does Bitter Murmur work with this? Or Tinkerer?
Bitter Murmur:
Unlocks potential in one's aura reading ability. Each time a generator is repaired to 100%, survivors within 16 meters of the repaired generator will be revealed for 5 seconds. When the last generator finishes Warming Up, all survivors are revealed for 5/7/10 seconds.
This allows you to go directly to the generator and stop the survivors from progressing the generator to step 3 "Warming Up".
Tinkerer:
When a generator is repaired at 85%, you'll receive a noise notification at that generator and your Terror Radius is reduced to 0 meters for 8/10/12 seconds. Additionally, you have previously made modifications to the generators making them are harder to start up. Survivors slightly/moderately/considerably suffer from decreased luck when doing the pull action.
So, it's the same as before but survivors will now have a harder time trying to start the generator if the killer has Tinkerer.
I remember that the killer can kick the generator but really it's only important for the last generator because it gives the killer more time to find survivors. Then again there could be another generator at step 3 and he would have to kick that one as well and waste time. -
Once generators get reworked, then Ruin can be nerfed. I don't want a killer always use Ruin every game just to win.Fengminni said:Lmao I do not see why doing gens should be made even more difficult. Every killer nowadays uses Ruin and thanatophobia and on top of that most killers kick a gen three times to make it go from 90 to 0. Nowadays it takes ages to do gens unless you have a really bad killer to go against. -
It's why I use No Mither sometimes, survivor is too easy! Yes even against Nurses because stealth is my thing!Tsulan said:

Can't wait to have the developers spoon feed me a free winTsulan said:
I agree.
However in all seriousness, please don't make playing a survivor be so stupidly easy, thanks! -
Here's the thing, your making it sound like the RNG is so stupid to a point you'll never get a generator powered on. I know, DbD is a asymmetrical horror game so your not supposed to escape every game and generators will now actually take teamwork since now a single survivor can't repair a generator as easily as before... Your individual skill is less important in a asymmetrical horror game and more about working with the team so you can overwhelm the killer AKA the power role.Twix said:
It’s not hate, it’s a very bad suggestion and like I said RNG shouldn’t be a in survival skill based game.Keep thinking of a way to increase the time to something between 1-2 minutes total and not 4 minutes per generator.
Here's how long a generator will take to complete in my version:
80 seconds of repair: Step 1
40 seconds to start the generator (7 Failed attempts): Step 2
80 seconds for the generator to warm up (This happens automatically after starting the generator): Step 3
80(2)+40= 200 seconds per generator with very bad RNG.
80 seconds is the current generator time
200 seconds is the new generator repair time if you failed RNG 7 times.
200-80= 120 seconds or 2 minutes.
Already did, your just overreacting and not thinking about how much DbD can benefit from this. If you think that your that unlucky to a point where you can't get a 25% RNG action then maybe look for a four leaf clover? Don't make it sound harder than it is lol.Twix said:Keep thinking of a way to increase the time to something between 1-2 minutes total and not 4 minutes per generator. -
A single survivor which is 25% of the killer's objective shouldn't be able to loop a killer for 3 generators which is 60% of a survivors objective. Additionally the survivor still needs to be hooked 2 more times before you actually do complete 25% of your killer objective. See the problem? A survivor can complete their objective WAY too fast than a killer can complete theirs.
-
1.) It can go both ways, you can get it in 1 attempt or 10 attempts but that's unlikely. However your likely to get it in 4 attempts which is 20 seconds, just 10 seconds underneath your "30 second requirement".Twix said:
1) An RNG mechanic is bad for a survivial games, because then it no longer involves skill, but RNG.There should be absolutely no RNG mechanics.
Even if it’s supposedly 1/4 chance (25%) there’s no guarantee it won’t take more than 4 tries (keep in mind you would need to do this for 5 generators)
2) Time is very important in this game for both sides, if my team needs 1 last generator to escape and I repair it - the killer then gets another 80 (possibly more) seconds to find us before we can start opening a gate? No. It explains itself.
3) Like I previously stated: Survivors just need a small task like 30 seconds max, so that they can’t just get on a generator as soon as the game starts.
Here’s my explanation as to why this isn’t a good idea, in fact a very bad idea and why I LOL’d. (This is my opinion btw)
2.) That's not my problem if you get found during the other 80 seconds. Like, dude, seriously, being stealthy isn't rocket science and hiding in a corner for 80 seconds is SO hard. Even if you get found, pallet loop? Your likely gonna have at least 1 other survivor alive and they'll open the exit gates for you to run out. If you get caught then sorry, that's DbD, you couldn't be stealthy enough or you choose not to be stealthy and you couldn't win the chase. You deserved to get punished for playing so poorly, ya know?
3.) 30 seconds is like nothing to survivors if I had to be honest with you. Just like how doing 5 generators within 5 minutes isn't enough time for a killer to get at least 2 sacrifices without tunneling or camping. It won't be much of a difference with 5:30, the 30 seconds won't even be noticeable, for real!
Yeah I get that you hate my suggestion but I can't please everyone so please keep the hate to a minimum. Thanks. -
After you complete the RNG your basically done, the generator will power on in 80+ seconds by itself.Twix said:LOL, no. Survivors need to do something else before they can start working on a generator, something that takes no longer than 30 seconds.
For example: Find blueprints on how to repair a generator.
Not some RNG bullshit and once you get past that you gotta wait another 80 seconds? LMFAO.
Also, your just being rude... You didn't even explained why this is a bad idea and just laughed if off as a joke basically. Please tell me exactly why it's bad please. For your RNG point, 25% shouldn't take long to get if I had to be honest with you because it's one in every four trys so with the animation time that's 20 seconds in theory. -
This would definitely be great addition to DbD! Now I don't want any super buffed male or female because then you'd get questions like... "If (s)he is so strong then why don't they just KO the killer?"ChraizE said:
Is this what you are referring to? -
DbD is a asymmetrical horror game. With that in mind, the killer should always win every time if the survivors aren't working together as a team. If the survivors are working as a team then the survivors should win every time, period. The moment BHVR makes this statement above true then DbD is officially balanced.

This is in general, I used the screen shot to show that Doctors out there are getting destroyed and I was a survivor that game. Even if he had Ruin, he would get destroyed because the Doctor is really easy to loop! Even if he times his shocks then just keep running to the next loop and don't try the impossible by throwing down a pallet because you'll get hit. I'm not saying Doctors are always getting destroyed because sometimes he does destroy the survivors but this is an unlikely outcome. I want these buffs to increase the chance that a Doctor will destroy a entire survivor team.SenzuDuck said:Didn't look at the screenshot because killers/survivors always have bad games, they don't always have to, or always deserve a kill in a match.
Also, you should look at the screen shot better before commenting!

Yes but if they land a great, it adds a additional 1 second to the sacrifice timer.
