I'm not being childish, you didn't see me being uncivilized about me making the post either so just stop making me look like the bad guy. You guys are literally avoiding the point that I'm trying to make but instead focus on Marth88 leaving! Again, read my edit post from my orginal post... killer's are leaving because this game isn't in a great state and when BVHR steps up, killers will return to this game. This game is survivor based and not killer base, the killer is supposed to be the POWER ROLE but it isn't ATM. The moment that you feel like your the power role is when DbD is in a great spot IMO.Delfador said:First of all, DBD is not dying. More people than ever are playing the game and because of the cosmetics, devs earn a lot of money.
When a youtuber or a streamer leaves a game, it generally doesn't cause anything major. You won't even notice a difference.
Game was a lot worse in the past and we see devs trying to improve the game right now. Giving bad reviews like some braindead survivors have done after the exhaustion nerf, and threatening the devs by leaving the game will not solve anything. If anything, marth will lose his viewers and subs and then after an update, he will come back excusing the improved state of the game to gain his viewers and subs.
Stop being childish.

Yeah, this is why half of the community is literally just plain stupid. Not trying to be rude but your literally judging a book by it's cover which is something your told not to do. Maybe try reading the post and watch the first 10 minutes at best to actually see what's going on? Never assume that it's just a random post with no purpose other than saying "MARTH88 IS LEAVING, NOOO!"Grey87 said:Not gonna bother reading or watching the video.
Just here to say "Cya marth, no one really cares other than some fanboys".
Edit: Sorry, however, when someone says these types of things, "I don't care"... it's literally because they didn't read the post or at least watch some of the video which ticks me off. -
This game means a lot to people rather you think it does or doesn't @jiminie, maybe you should go to DG if you really don't care what happens to this game. I said "This game is the reason why we live" to stress the point about how much we love DbD, there's nothing wrong with loving a game that made you wanna keep playing it over and over again. How would you feel if DbD died out? Exactly.jiminie said:Oh, what a sad day today is, this no name guy is leaving DBD, i feel so much grief, i don't know how we're goin' to survive
On a serious note, y'all should chill, it's just a game, and who in their right mind would watch a guy moaning for over an hour? 'u mad?' haha
Also, this OP guy just said 'We all live for this game' what the hell? That's pretty sad if that's the case, i must say, also, the so called survivor 'buffs' are just speculated, still killer mains already goin' nuts over everything as usual, i've been around for few months, i'll just say this, if the game dies, it's because of the community, they'll never be pleased with anything they getOne more thing, just chill, it's not like this game is the reason you live...or is it?

I play DbD on console and sometimes my console is like "Nun huh! No DbD for you!" Then it kicks me from the loading to screen to my dashboard!Master said:I never bluescreened in DBD.
However, as you said, if it happens at all, then it is really rare and the time you need to restart your PC and get back into DBD should be around 5 minutes, which is the time punishment for the first DC in other competitive games. This time would increase if you DC regualrly
I was thinking that the punishment time should scaled by 1.5 every time you leave and then rounded to the nearest minute so... it will look like this in a geometric sequence! Your punishment time will reset every season so you can't just keep DCing.
5/8/11/17/25/... -
All I want is DbD becoming something! I don't want to see DbD be a game where BVHR had success but then thrown it out because I BREATHE for this game. I want BVHR to make this game big and continue to take our breath out, ya know?ShrimpTwiggs said:Posts like this give me hope for the game and the community. Devs, we love this game and we don't want it to die out. But to keep things going, you need to take a good look at the state of your game and see just how skewed the balance is.
-
Basically this here! Marth88 is a good person, yes he made mistakes like everyone else but he wants what everyone else wants, that is DbD not dying!Jesya said:He makes very valid points in his video. I liked watching him play DBD... I can't stand deathgarden so I doubt I will watch him..
I don't know why people are pissing and moaning that he will be back... he said like 74389127468123 times in that vid he'd return if the balance issues are fixed and he loves DBD.
-
That's your opinion, believe what you wanna believe but what he said is true. The game isn't in a great state currently, yes it's definitely way better compared to before but I'm just afraid that this game may end up dying so I wanted to share this everyone in hopes of getting BVHR attention.ChesterTheMolester said:
He used to be a good Killer no doubt but his behavior made his streams unwatchable. So i care less about him and more about his idiotic fanboys who blindly follow him uncritically and thinks that"BUT MARTH SAID ... (insert his opinion)" is an argument. -
That's my goal in making this thread, BVHR will see him leaving and probably step it up just a little.Killigma said:To be honest, whenever a youtuber or streamer "leaves" a game, a company only really loses out on some coverage. Losing someone like Marth will just open up a space for someone else to fill and BHVR will have another person to fill that missed coverage spot. There is no real major lose here, he maybe convinced some people to buy the game but there is plenty of other streamers that are doing the exact same thing.
That being said, I do hope they take notice and make some major balance changes. -
True but Marth88 encouraged me to try out nurse.Skorpanio said:What's so special about him?
Sorry ;3
But we've still got some Monto and No0b3 ;DPS: I'd be more scared if half the communtiy just went away.
)PSS: This comment will get OVER 9000 LOLs due to me not having any interests in this youtuber...

Hopefully he does come back because I really learned a lot from his killer gameplay.Easylife said:Wonder how long it will be before he comes back "again".
When someone REALLY quits a game you don't make a goodbye video/speech or a big long post on forums as to why you're quitting etc.
People who do that just want the developers to take note and change the game so they can keep playing because they're addicted and don't want to leave the game. Here's what you do when you don't want to play a game anymore and are actually quitting for good.
I played World Of Warcraft from 2004 to 2013 for that 9 years I was totally addicted.
One day, I decided I would quit, I uninstalled the game, deleted the forums from my favourites and turned the PC off... that was 5 YEARS ago now.
I didn't make a goodbye video/forum post etc, I simply uninstalled it and walked away having never looked back since."I'm quitting guys, here's my video / long forum post to explain why, goodbye guys it was fun while it lasted!"
Translated:
"I'm addicted to this game and don't want to quit, please hear why I'm leaving and make changes so I can keep playing! I'll leave for a few days/weeks and be back again soon to give it another go!"
-
I know that the game won't ever be balanced since that's really REALLY difficult to pull off but they should try and get near that point. Hopefully they will and everything will like the old days!fcc2014 said:Balance issues, frame rate and every patch or update breaks something else, and every event has some bullshit problem. We all get it and either deal with it or play something else. You bought the game, you invested your time, if you are not satisfied with it do not ever purchase anything from them again.
-
No need to be rude, this is my first time actually making a post about this... So chill! I posted this in the first place so the developers would see this and really stop and think about the game.PigNRun said:Good. Maybe people will stop mentioning on every single post. -
He played the game for two years basically for both survivor and killer, he has been trying to tell the developers what's basically wrong with the game. I didn't post this because "OMG MARTH88 LEAVING!!!", it's because I want this to get the developers attention that the game is not in a great spot ATM. However they are making progress, BABY steps but that's better than taking steps backwards. Additionally if you don't care about what he thinks then why click on this thread?mintchapstick said:Why do we all care about what a youtuber thinks?

Yeah, hopefully they nerf DS so every killer will get their well deserved hook.Demonsouls1993 said:Remove DS and that noed change could work

I'll explain why NOED isn't a crutch perk. I'm saying this to every person who thinks it's a crutch perk and not just you @Visionmaker!Visionmaker said:I don't think NOED needs to be removed or nerfed... But it is definitely a crutch perk. It only rewards mistakes, even if it is good for cheesy strats.I think overused meta perks need to be nerfed/changed, and I don't think NOED ranks that highly.
1.) The killer is sacrificing 1 perk slot for a strong late game with instant downs so of course it's gonna be easy to go against a killer with less perks.
2.) The perk can be disabled before even activated which not any perk besides Huntress Lullaby has that weakness.
3.) NOED isn't DS, don't compare them two when DS has no easy counter and when NOED does.
4.) If NOED is a crutch then you minus well say Blood Warden is a crutch too since it blocks the exit gates and gives the killer a "free kill".
5.) NOED has been nerfed multiple amount of times, what's next?
PATCH NOTES:
NOED: Tier 3 no longer causes the exposed status effect on all survivor.
^ I'm calling it right now ^
6.) NOED is a strong alternative to ruin since it punishes gen rushing. If every survivor is on generators and not totems then your guaranteeing yourself a strong late game!
Overall the main reason why people think NOED is a crutch perk is because it's not fun for the survivor to get instant-downed. I would say for an rework... either give the killer 30% faster successful attack cool down or make NOED cause a BT bleed out timer instead of just going down instantly.

Yessss, please?SadonicShadow said:It would be cool if maybe they created another realm of lerys. I imagine something like a large court yard that would be snowy.

Oh, this Jake was body blocking me and tea bagging me when he was blocking the hook. When the survivor wiggled free, I destroyed him with my hatchets and I told him "sit". No one prevents me from getting my BBQ hooks, they are all mine!fcc2014 said:That is the spirit, make them pay.

I don't see why a exhaustion reset is necessary, you recover exhaustion while on a hook anyways. Besides I stopped using exhaustion perks since it takes away the fear away anyways.Runiver said:Honestly, it's not survivors. I've never seen this suggestion anywhere.
It's just devs. -
I wonder how much Huntress triggers him.Mister_xD said:- vault from the right angle -> get a fast vault. yes, vaulting indeed takes some skill right now. no, they wont change that back.
- never thought about the fact, that the killer can reach through the window with his arms? killers always had a range through windows. deal with it.
-
If any survivor blocks my BBQ hook then I'll camp them and if they tea bag while they are blocking the BBQ hook... They will get a tunnel bonus!chemical_reject said:Here's the deal. If ur a survivor and I see u Sabo the event hooks I will not heal u and I'll do my best to sandbag u. If ur a killer who wants to guard the even gens like they were ur precious, I will loop u into oblivion.......and hopefully other decent survivor players follow suit. This event is a summer BBQ NOT thunderdome, everyone needs to chill and have fun.

I wanna see a stormy map and no, the Huntress map doesn't count because it's only rainy!PigNRun said:A snowy map is possible. I picture the roof of Lery's, as a second map for that realm. -
Isn't that the truth tho? I just faced a SWF with a clicky clicky flashlight and I was able to sacrifice 3 of them, luckily they were altruistic for me.se05239 said:I watch a few streamers myself, Tru3ta1ent being one of them, but they're still heavily biased. Marth88 knows firsthand how insanely broken a SWF squad is and Tru3ta1ent often express how frustrating it is to play killer. I still don't think you should put streamers on balance duty.
Not every streamer deserves to make balance calls but certain ones that play both survivor and killer 50/50 should have a voice for their community. I really REALLY feel like the developers should at least talk to some of the streamers that play both survivor and killer regularly if they don't play their own game. Streamers, only the few that play 50/50, should have some factor in deciding balance since they play hours upon hours of DbD. -
You should watch Tru3ta1ent and Marth88, they both play killer and survivor. I only listen to them about what's really wrong with the game because they experienced both sides equally so their feedback will be worth listening to.se05239 said:Most of them play survivor and a bunch of them are toxic as [BAD WORD]. Too much bias for one side or another.
-
Actually that's not completely true since every day, great survivors get destroyed by nurses. The nurse is the only killer that has control over the game if the player has the skill. This also applies to other high tier killer's like Billy, Hag, Huntress, and Clown but with way less effectiveness compared to what the nurse can do.Might_Oakk said:A big difference is a killer 2 pips off terrible survivors.
If the killer is terrible the survivors may not even single pip.
Here's another 2-pip as a killer with me letting the survivor have the hatch, it's really easy to be honest!

-
You should play wraith and see how often you reach BL 2 or BL 3 if the survivors use very strong loops. Just saying.WhateverIGuess said:Because it's fun getting downed by a trash killer just because they are 10x faster than you with bloodlust.
Stop with this bullshit, most of the good killers reach max BL 1 or rarely BL 2. -
Dedicated severs will fix the problem because only survivors in USA will get pair with other survivors in USA. Some thing for Europe, Japan, and etc.Delfador said:The problem is that not everybody knows english or even if we know, we might not be able to pronounce the words in the way that other players can understand. It wouldn't be a huge problem for americans but Europeans will have very hard time. If the game is getting balanced around voice comms and killers become strong enough to get 4ks against voice comms, the survivors who are not able to communicate will get destroyed.
Hopefully I get matched with French survivors because I need to practice my French anyways!

First Question: No, at least not that I know of.Kingkiwi2013 said:So I know that obsessions were introduced with the Myers chapter and totems were introduced in the Hag chapter. My first question is are there any more mechanics important to the killer that were introduced like these? They seem like the most noticeable ones to me but I’m not sure if there are others. I’m new to the game and trying for learn as much as possible
and my second question is, do you have a totem and obsession in every match you play as killer? Or do they only show if you have either a totem perk or a obsession perk? Or is there specific slots for each? Thanks for your time.
Second Question: In every trial as a killer, you'll always have 5 full totems, that can never be changed as of 2.1.0 . The moment that you use a Hex perk, one of these 5 full totems will be picked before the trial and changed to a Hex totem.
Example:
If you don't use any Hex perks then you'll have 5 dull totems. If you used 3 Hex perks then you'll have 3 Hex totems and 2 dull totems.
You only have an obsession in your trial if either the killer uses a obsession perk or the survivor uses a obsession perk. If no killer or survivor uses a obsession perk then you won't have a obsession during the trial. -
Huh?AGUMMYBEAR21 said:Can we please bring back old pallets you guys are making it easier for the bad killers just improve the ranking system. -
So far we have a few ideas that might bring blindness to a more threatening level. I'll edit my post to point out the ideas that I found others liked the most!
-
That's so ironic that the actual DBD developer team doesn't even play their own game!
"I think we did a pretty good job so far!" -
It's like a mini-endorsement system but I don't really see it having any effect on the game IMO.Zelthur said:When choosing to thumbs up a player after a match does it log the good report to be used to weigh against bad reports or is it something more? I was wondering about the system behind the "Give Props" to better understand how reports are looked at.

Usually I carry BT because there are brain dead survivors who will run where the killer is at and make me lose benevolence even through I safely unhooked them.Camophlo said:I can't wait for the change to the unhooking to give the unhooked a small window of time to escape. Getting farmed is literally annoying especially since the person who unhooks you doesn't lose anything but Benevolence points but it's easy to rank up either way. It just sucks since you aren't in control of any actions leading to your death.. -
Ahh, the typical survivor hate. Just ignore them.greenzebra64 said:I'm playing a game of killer at rank 3 and a lot of survivors are making dumb decisions. They take advantage of me by YOLO saving their teammates because I'm not camping and they know I won't tunnel. They finish gens and exit gates right in front of me, causing them to die faster. They huddle near a downed survivor, expecting that I don't see them and get mad when I start slugging. They waste pallets and rip off their teammates, or just never drop the pallet because that's supposed to help them? And they say killers are so OP and cry when I don't play their rules once? Modest survivors are rare these days.
-
I actually got a few laughs from this, thank you!
-
If the developers really want to make SWF and solo Q equally strong then add comms to Solo Q. Since both SWF and Solo Q are equally strong... The developers can balance the game better. I don't think we need bandaids to fix Solo Q, we need the thing that makes SWF so strong and that's comms.Nickdela9812 said:I know it hasn't gone PTB yet, but personally i think it might be a little bit too much. Not because it would nerf camping but because it would give survivors a super excessive coordination to make generators, which are already ridicolously short. I understand what they are trying to do, they are trying to balance the game through SWF and (hopefully) then buff killers even more, but a buff like this for survivors, really? Maybe i could be ok with just the aura of the killer shown within the 8 meters from the hook, but come on, all survivors' aura? It feels like there would be no way to completely stop generators for even one second if all the survivors knows what they are doing.
-
I can show you a game where I received all iridescent emblems as a killer. This was a recent game that I had a day ago while a survivor game with all iridescent emblems is near impossible IMO.Eninya said:Yes. Killer requirements are piss easy.
As a survivor, you have to singlehandedly do ~3 generators, save multiple people successfully, and run the killer around forever while still escaping. You can still double pip if you went down, but you need the aforementioned requirements to make up for it.

The funny thing is that one game I got destroyed and every survivor escaped... yet I still 1-pip up!
-
Either reduce the tokens by 2 across the board. In other words... 1-2 Tokens will decrease the time between the skill check warning and the actual skill check with 3 tokens having no skill check warning.IronWolf115 said:Hey all!
So really this is kind of a poll though I don't know if I can actually set up a poll on the forums. Regardless, simple really:
Do you guys think that Huntress Lullaby should be a Hex perk, or a regular perk?
Furthermore if you do think it should be a Hex perk, do you think it needs a buff to help it out?Have at it folks!
OR
Just make the Hex a regular perk because this perk is just to weak and has the same weakness as NOED. That being it can be disabled before it even has a effect, I'm not counting the regression penalty since high ranked survivors NEVER miss skill checks. -
See, this right here would make blindness that much more threatening! Great idea @M2Fream!M2Fream said:Blindness should do the following
- No auras, even ones thaf do not require perks, such as hooked survivors, dying survivors, and yes, jigsaw boxes
- Make the players screen darker and add more mist only client side for them
- No red stain vision -
I know, however Ruin is complete RNG. I can complete all 5 generators without any skill checks appearing... Yeah it's very very unlikely but if the survivors don't get any skill checks then Ruin is useless due to RNG. Furthermore, survivors can generator tap which is slow but negatives the perk entirely which already has a weakness to being destroyed. 50% is just a random number that I thought would be reasonable and it does it's job by directly slowing down the game... There's no cheap way to by pass it other than destroying the Ruin totem or by brute force repairing.MegaWaffle said:The problem with a 50% (I understand these are simply numbers pulled without tests) is it would punish people who do try to work through Ruin properly. I just go for the skill checks and ignore Ruin myself but with 50% reduction I'd go spend the 10-30 seconds to find the totem.
-
I never said in any post that what you said is invalid, I was just telling everyone how the hatch spawns because obviously not everyone knows. Please calm down.Orion said:I know how it works. Tell me how this invalidates what I said.

Yeah, your senses are blinded.WhateverIGuess said:Whaaaa? So if i'm blind my ears don't work aswell? Makes sense.
-
I like your ideas @Peanits but wouldn't the hook bubble animation appear? That would ruin the idea of the survivors trying to look for the hooked survivor wouldn't it?Peanits said:I think blindness is actually pretty good in certain situations already. The problem in my eyes is that it's not easy enough to apply it and keep it applied in order to take advantage of it. You really need to have blindness active on all players at once to get the full effect, because if one person can see where someone's hooked/downed, they can still very easily save them (or share that info with the friends).
Currently the only ways to apply blindness are through a couple add-ons here and there, or through Third Seal. None of the add-ons do not last long enough to apply it to all survivors, and Third Seal is a hex perk, meaning you have to hit all four survivors and keep the hex totem up (little more do-able, still not very practical).
What I'd like to see is a way to apply blindness to everyone at the same time, even if it is only for a limited time. Just spitballing some ideas here:
- An obsession perk that applies blinding to everyone for 30/60/90 seconds whenever the obsession is downed. This means any time they obsession goes down, nobody can see where they are or where they're hooked. Once the blindness wears off, they will be in phase 2. This gives everyone a shorter window to save the survivor unless the search the map to find the hook (which even if that happens, this means they aren't working on generators and this also gives you another opportunity to apply the blindness).
- Another obsession perk (one or the other, wouldn't want both of these to happen at once) that applies blindness as long as the obsession is injured (not dying). While injured, the obsession is broken and cannot self heal without a medkit. Possibly slower heal on the obsession as well, to make it harder to remove. Sorta' sticking with the third seal idea, but making it so everyone is affected. Instead of a totem, it's the obsession. This would encourage the other survivors to try to find the obsession so they can see again.
- A perk that blinds survivors whenever a generator is powered for 30/45/60 seconds whenever a generator is powered. Go fast, go blind, good luck with unhooks. This would sorta' encourage you to slow down a little. Otherwise, you'll have to search the entire map to find where someone is hooked/downed, which would still slow things down either way.
You get the gist of it. Applying blindness to everyone is amazing, especially on hook where time spent searching is time spent bleeding out and not doing generators. Applying blindness to some people is pretty much useless.

Don't forget Junkrat!No_Mither_No_Problem said:So basically you want Roadhog to be in the game.

I feel like the RNG aspect of the bear trap should just be a 10 second struggle timer because survivors seem to get off way too easily. RNG add-ons for this should Increase the struggle timer so survivors have to hold down the button for even longer.JAZC_CR said:1 trap is nothing... i go for traps around all the map and what happen... 2 gens or 3 gens READY and 3 traps disarmed... so... trapper still useless in my opinion... hard to play with his power, maybe every 40 seconds the trap would be armed again, also a reword for the ultra rare addon (iris... stone) every 20 or 10... someone can tell me use addons, ok then... i need to use always addons for 2 traps? and when i out of addons and bloodpoints.... let's hope the trapper start with 2 traps... is nearly imposible in 1 ranks everybody destroying ur power... what do u think?

I don't think the perk needs a rework, I think the blindness status effect needs a rework IMO.Sally55 said:Is this perk in need of a rework or not?

I feel like if the blindness status effect ACTUALLY blinded your senses into not knowing where the killer is at... It could be worth it. Additionally killer's like Huntress can use her blindness add-ons in a mind game since you'll never know where she will be.Runiver said:Could be decent, tho, as a matter of fact, the Third Seal is unnefficient, Blindness add-ons are usually short, and since they want to expand solo player's reading closer to SWF's ones, I doubt it's gonna happen.
