At first I thought it was the new lighting but the more I look at it, the more strange it looks. Maybe they did change it. I don't play/see the Pig enough to know for certain.
-
I saw it on Reddit. It's from the game files so it's legit. It's amazing.
-
I bet it's just a skin for the Gens.

Fourth perk is your choice. I would bring Ruin or BBQ.
The exact same build i'm going for. I need those damn skins.
-
He's exhausting to play well. Best to wait to see how the Devs change him, whenever that happens.
-
I can see this being helpful very, very rarely.

Actually they are all gay AND all straight lore wise. Why? Because it has been confirmed alternate reality versions exist within the entity which allows for the multiple dwights etc.
Which means, there is a straight shirtless jake for every gay shirtless for every bi shirtless jake and so on forever and ever amen.
Multiple versions of the same Survivor was said to be purely a game design choice, not tied to the lore.
-
No reward for Devotion at all but it's something the Devs want to do. Keep in mind though that not long after the game released they said, on multiple occasions, that they want to add Rank Rewards. Which we still don't have over 2 years later.
-
I've seen something like what you're describing on the Groaning Storehouse map but never the Asylum. I've heard there is on on The Game too but I haven't seen that either.
-
Clearly you assumed wrong.
-
Yo, I totally see it!

Personally I still think it's the Doctor. Under Oct 24ths it has "My assailant, now chained in the cellar, must be getting restless. This is just the beginning.''
If you look at the Doctors cosmetic it looks like he had been shackled at the ankles. Seems like a weird detail to add to the cosmetic otherwise.Good call. Didn't notice that myself.
-
I don't see the issue here at all because the Shard reward goes up as the XP needed to level up does.
-
Wraith is without a doubt what i'm going for first. The best looking and i've always loved the Wraith. Next has gotta be Doc, although I don't play him all too much. The outfit is freaking sweet though. I guess i'd go for Hillbilly next, followed by Trapper and lastly the Huntress as I don't tend to play any of these.
-
Then you just essentially have a better Bitter Murmur.
-
Or it could reveal the auras of Hooks and the intensity would indicate how far along they have been sabotaged, This would give the perk a form of information that a SWF group already has.
-
I vaguely remember something along the lines of "don't quote us on that" from McLean. So I guess the mid-chapter is what they were aiming for but didn't want to confirm, just in case.
-
I'd argue that the Pig has the Reverse Bear Traps and the Billy doll with the iconic laugh. So that's something. I agree that in general the licensed content could have more to them.

@MojoTheFabulous any idea who the source is for all that info. I just looked at it and it looks great i'm just not so trusting of anything on Wiki. The guy that runs the Wiki is trustworthy, without a doubt. I believe everything is in the game files for the PTB so i'd say that is a reliable source. Not to mention it all matches up with those little Instagram teasers the Devs have been putting out.
-
The Wiki has all the info you need on the upcoming event that this is teasing and all the lore behind it.

Or they could reduce the grind so you don't feel the need to pay. Then what else would we do? It's not like we have a story to work through etc. or anything to build. The game is the grind.
And paying to remove the grind also removes the grind.

Neither Brutal Strength or Enduring have ever been mandatory. It always bothers me when people act like they are.Oh yes, of coarse it wasn't if you enjoyed being looped for 4 gens followed by the tbagging at the gates at rank 1/against any half competent group of survivors. I've heard that masochism/humiliation are quite lucrative kinks.
And that has nothing to do with the stun time. Not a good counter point.
It most definitely does. If you respect every pallet/don't swing through them then you will lose a lot of time vs anyone who recognizes it. You will be stunned against someone who knows how to loop, a lot. The more time you spend stunned and breaking pallets, the more time they will have to find safe pallets and the longer you will be looped.
Thus why Enduring is meta and, formerly, Brutal Strength.
Being looped for long periods of time is more of a map design issue than anything else because even if you don't get stunned they almost always have enough time to make it to another pallet.

Source?Edit: because we all know how reliable wiki is...
in-game files and regarding your comment --> .|.
I put tons of my spare time voluntarily into keeping the Wiki up-to-date and accurate.
And where does the information come from that the cosmetics are the rewards? I have looked through the game files myself (at least what can be found on the web, I can't decode it myself) and while the majority of the wiki information can be found in there, I see no connection between the cosmetics and event rewards.
I'm just a bit suspicious because considering what was given as rewards in previous events and looking at the quality of the Hallow Blight cosmetics, this would be ... well ... the devs being more generous than ever before would be an understatement.
I'm also curious as to where most of the info came from in the files. The cosmetics are easy enough to find but something like the lore I have no idea where to look.
-
It's helpful, for sure, but the eFFect of it can be lessened if you pay attention to your surroundings, giving yourself a little distance before you can be hit. You getting grabbed from a Gen because of this is a mistake on your part more than anything. It takes a fraction of a second to let go of a Gen and thus avoid being grabbed.
-
She's certainly easier to play on PC due to a mouse having much better precision than a controller plus the maximum controller sensitivity for DbD is garbage.
-
Likely the coming Tuesday or Wednesday as those have been the days that the cosmetics have released, on an almost weekly basis.
-
It'd be pretty neat as an add-on to be honest.
-
I wouldn't consider the Shards to be a reward for Devotion seeing as you get them after every level up. It's nothing more than the green number.
Anyway, Devotion rewards are something the Devs have said they want to do. Although I wouldn't expect that anytime soon as I remember shortly after the game released they talked about Rank Rewards a few times and here we are, over 2 years later, with nothing.
-
@Lowbei said:
i believe we will see some devotion bonuses soon(tm)Just as soon as we get Rank Rewards.
-
What bothers is that after they explained why it didn't make the cut, they didn't bring up any other ideas they have for the perk. Giving the impression they currently don't have any and if that's the case then whatever the change ends up being is waaaaaaaaaaaaay out in terms of time.
-
The woman in the trailer is an early version of Meg, as a Dev mentioned, and I assume the guy in the bear trap is an early version of Jake seeing as he had Jake's voice (if i'm remembering that right) I suppose the woman on the hook in the basement was an early version of Claudette, seeing as we know the other was Meg.
-
Escaping as a Survivor and 2 kills as a Killer.
-
I see no harm in something like this. Some points for being the last one standing would be nice too. Maybe enough to match up with struggling on the hook seeing as you don't get to do that.
-
I'd rather they just change the noise notification to something unique.
-
Disconnecting is a bit much for it but I don't mind killing myself on the hook to give the other person a chance. Better than dragging out a match that is more than likely ending in a hatch play anyway.
-
This happens to me more often than actually getting the grab. It's such a pain in the ass.
It happened yesterday when someone hopped a pallet directly at me. The animation cut, my character attacked instead and ######### missed...
-
Here is a better link and these are legit because they are in the game files if you are running the PTB: https://imgur.com/a/lTcjvsH
-
Has anyone actually tested the timing of it though? Seeing as healing as a whole has been slowed down.
-
This really should have been part of the store when it launched. It's a much needed feature to be honest.
-
Basically the Wraith but instead of being cloaked you look like someone else.
Immediately very weak and countered by simply playing it carefully around anything that looks like a Survivor. Then SWF just shits all over the power in general.
-
The hook vacuum poorly serves the purpose of multi-directional hooking. They could really do with adding it properly, like they did with unhooking.
-
Maybe there are people out there that know of the existence of the Entity and worship it. Somewhere down the line they figured out a way to call to the Entity.
I feel like it could be more along the lines of the Entity feeling Lisa's desire to kill her captors and helped her unleash that so she would be more useful in the realm of the Entity.
-
It seems fine to me as it will basically just signal that the Killer is in a chase, as that is when Pallets get broken. Most of the time.
-
They should prevent the Chaser Emblem from degrading if you're in a chase.
-
It's an add-on that could really do with the description being changed a little to avoid this confusion. Not that it's a big deal but simply stating it changes the range to a global distance would prevent this.

BBQ & Chili is fine and if it was to be nerfed i'd say nothing more than changing the Aura reading to the Madness Aura (like Rancor has) but, again, I don't think it needs changing.
